  • TWENTYFOUR Gives Poetic Lyricism On Top Of A Smooth-Sailing Lo-Fi Beat In, “Rollin”

TWENTYFOUR is easily one of Underground’s brightest acts at the moment. He was born and raised in the thriving hip-hop scene of Houston Texas which showed him the definition of hip-hop. His astounding artistic vision is all implemented together in his new hit single “ROLLIN”. TWENTYFOUR’s lyrical capability was highly fascinating to us. His flow and delivery were so bonafide to the style of true underground rappers. This could be the result of TWENTYFOUR growing up on battle rap, he’s used to simply showing off his ability as a rapper. However, despite his capabilities as an agressive rapper, he shows off a more soft side to his delivery in “ROLLIN”. This track and transitional quality in his artistry proves that this promising young artist isn’t any sort of joke, and is in it for the long haul when it comes to the music industry. In just under three minutes, TWENTYFOUR makes an instant fan out of any listener with his impossibly catchy flow and an arsenal of great bars. Each punchline and corner of this song had something meaningful. The lyrics were highly poetically driven. The production of the beat had this lo-fi rap element. It was chilled, atmospheric, and melodic. Twentyfour knew exactly how to cultivate his listener into enjoying “Rollin” to its full capacity. Check out "Rollin" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome TWENTYFOUR! Houston Texas is a major scene for Hip-Hop and some may say it has its own style. In what ways were you impacted by your environment? I was impacted by my city’s music , the people I hung around, the fashion etc. all of it influences my style as an artist and shaped who I am as a person. Even tho I’ve been through a lot , the overall impact I would look at it as a positive one. Let’s discuss your song “Rollin”. What was the main theme behind this single? The main theme was perseverance. To always keep pushin for what it is you’re after; never stop. It means a lot to me cus of what I was going through at the time in my personal life as well as the fact that it’s just a honest song to me . All my music is true to me but especially this one cus it represents type of person I am . Someone that’s not gonna give up on what they love . You have a classic delivery. Who would you consider some of your musical influences? I have a lot of music influences from jay z, Andre 3000 to Scarface, lupe fiasco & mos def. As a rapper, what’s your take on the current state of hip-hop? In what ways has it changed for you? Even tho I might not like newer music as much as what I grew up on , now I feel like it’s a lot more fun. You can tell an artist put it out because he just felt good or was having fun at the moment. I wasn’t as understanding of rap 5-10 years ago as I am now, but I feel like back then artists tried to be more precise. It’s a positive & negative to both tho. I think now rap is looked at less like a job , & more only as something fun or cool to do for some if not most artists. And that changes pretty much everything about the music itself. For me I grew more of a love and appreciation for it . I don’t really worry about what the outside world is doing or how they view rap. I recognize their view, then move on & continue to do what I love & I guess the most change is that I really keep getting better. What’s next for you TWENTYFOUR? I’m working on music constantly since I started this series called “#24THOFTHEMONTH” where every 24th I drop a single and something special that goes with it . “Rollin” was the first single & came with a video created & directed by @YUNGBABYBOI .  I got another single coming out June 24. And I’ll keep coming every month.  Hopefully if my fanbase keeps growing I’ll drop a project at end of the year. I’ll definitely try to get at least 2/3 more shows in by end of year as well. Stay connected! Instagram: www.instagram.com/TW4AMIR/ #BuzzMusic

What advice would you give to your younger self now, when you first started writing music? If you enjoy songwriting that’s brilliant keep it up and make sure to absorb input from others if its another writer even better, either record yourself singing the song idea or get singers to record your songs if you don’t wish to as this is great for feedback and helpful with sharing new ideas of writing styles in your own creative process. Never give up and enjoy what your doing as it reflects in your songs. Can you tell us about the meaning behind the lyrics in “Always On My Mind”? The lyrics explore those feelings of intensity you may get in a relationship with strong attraction despite when things are not ideal i.e they do you wrong. To quote the the title they are still "always on your mind". What was the writing process like? What inspired the song? The song was written in draft form prior to meeting Alix but needed help with its structure, so when she heard it and understood its direction she bounced more ideas with me and before we knew it the final song was born! The song was inspired by a conversation a while ago with a friend as its quite relatable in subject and once I found a beat I liked that was it. Who are you biggest musical influences and why? Artists like the temptations, Bruno Mars, Emelie Sande, Annie Lennox all quite different but I like their writing style and obviously their music and in different ways influence my own music and lyric writing process. What are your career goals for 2019? sI will continue writing tracks for other artists to hopefully record one day and certainly co-write more as I really enjoy it and embrace the challenges it can bring too. If I'm blessed with a publishing deal one day that’s always a bonus. Keep up with Anita Emerald through her socials. Can you tell us more about yourself and your upbringing in to music? I was born in India and came to United States when I was 6 Years old. Moved from New York to Texas to California. Iv always loved music as long as I can remember but something more was the fact that I felt so negative about everything I had. Like my looks, my talents, my parents...I felt like I had been given no type of advantage to be anyone that people would notice in life. All the way up to college I was the same. My son was born when I was 18 and he put many of things in perspective to me. He was the only one that loved me unconditionally besides my parents. I hustled my whole life to make money after dropping out of school. I was actually very smart and i knew how to make money in ways most people couldn't ever imagine. But it wasn't about the money for me. In my mind...all i could think of was...."I want to do the impossible." Not something impossible for people in general but something "impossible" only for me. Something I thought I could never be because I was brought into this world with what seemed like the worst disadvantage. In my mind...that was to be a music artist. Believe it or not I knew I had a better chance of becoming a astronaut or be a Elon Musk type genius then be a singer/song writer. So, I decided to start my journey to make music and keep hustling until I become what I thought was impossible. Make music, emotions, faces, smiles, tears, friends, family, anything else I thought I could never make...I'd make it all with music somehow. So you might wonder where I'm at now? At this current stage I'm still a indie artist that barely anyone knows about but iv make enough unreleased songs that are all amazing.. I discovered I can smile in certain ways I never could..iv made friends I never thought I could and my son loves all my music. So yea I'm making the "impossible" a reality and I will continue to do so until I die. What keeps you inspired to write? Basically what I said in the above paragraph. My son, my dream to do the impossible, and my love of making music my way. What’s the meaning behind “99”? "99" is a song about how no matter if my life is telling me that there is a 99% chance of me failing at whatever I'm trying to get...the 1% chance to succeed is more than enough for me to go after it or die trying. What would be your dream collaboration? I would love to do a song with "DEAN". For someone who has never seen you perform, how would you describe your live set and energy on stage? Haha I haven't done any live shows besides open mic nights so you really cant get too rowdy. But I know if my music playing...the energy gonna be immeasurable and Im gonna be making sure everyone in the audience is feeling what Im feeling when I hear the song I'm performing. Pure energy & emotions. Connect with Zero Kares via the artists Instagram & Twitter. #BuzzMusic

Being siblings has kept us cool and motivated, constantly pushing the other one to do better, if we feel they can. Being able to say what we think with no hard feelings as we are very open and confrontational about decisions has helped our progression as artists. What’s the most challenging aspect of your journey so far? How do you overcome such an obstacle? With so much success already, we highly recommend you check out this track and Eric’s many other spectacular releases. Stay on the lookout for his upcoming album set to be released July 2019! Check out “Vague” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Hey Eric! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you tell us more about how you got started in music? I started singing when I was a little kid, growing up in church. My love for music hit me at a very young age. I remember even as a toddler, I would run downstairs first thing in the morning and instead of watching cartoons most times it was primarily BET, MTv, or Vh1, absorbing all kinds of music. Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Bobby Brown were three artists that really captivated me and influenced my love for wanting to create music. The classic movie by MJ titled “Moonwalker” sealed the deal for me. The magic he possessed was everything I wanted to be. We love your track “Vague”! Can you tell us a bit more about it/ the concept behind it? I really really appreciate that. “Vague” came about through a conversation with my best friend Chandra. It’s pretty normal for us both to share ideas for songs before the creative process begins. As soon as she came up with the concept, the sound and lyrics came to me very naturally. I knew from that point I wanted it to paint a vivid picture through sound, that was colorful-vibrant-and mesmerizing. I also wanted to step up my creative production not only for this song but for the entire album. The song itself explains how you can have a lover or companion who seems to come up short in communication and/or actions. I thought to match this concept with vibrant tribal-ish sounds to evoke emotion from my listener. How have you grown as an artist compared to when you first started writing/ performing? The growth is very real (Lol). I’ve been doing everything on my own since 2006. Writing songs don’t take long for me to do fortunately, but producing does which is something I’m getting better at and it feels good to discover more as you go. I love to experiment with different sounds and try my best to incorporate it into my music. With each project I do I try to outdo myself and of course you discover and learn new things with each process. What’s your favorite part of “Vague”? Why? My favorite part of “Vague” is the instrumental parts where I get to show off more of my productions skills. I was extremely blessed to have the talented producer Amorphous add a bass synth providing another texture to the final product. What can we expect from your upcoming album? You can expect an array of different sounds that I hope will become a musical journey and an escape for the listener. This is my best work to date and it’s truly a labor of love. “Vague” is just the appetizer to a well prepared meal I can’t wait to serve you all soon... • Sydney Released Her Danceable Hit, “100”

When you think of the state of Maine you hardly gather the thought of big talent and mainstream icons. I mean it’s such a small state, you would think nothing came from it. Up and coming pop artist with an R&B influence, Sydney, proves to us that the idea of major talent coming from a minor state is as possible as ever, and that talent is scattered across the globe. The unsigned singer released her first track which is a dance hit titled “100”. The storyline is fun and cute. It’s about catching that one dance with the person you’ve been waiting for. The chemistry presented in the lyricism provoked the emotion of light-hearted sensualism. “100” was a vibrant and extravagant jam that lightens your mood and elevates your surroundings! Many artists have personal motto's that they tend to represent and exude to their fans. For singer and songwriter JkeysMWB, His music goes hand & hand with his actions, leading by example is key. “ Music has the power to change lives, but just like any type of power it can be used for good and bad” JkeysMWB intentions are not to manipulate his listeners with vulgar lyrics and lavish visuals, he stands on CREATING MUSIC FOR A PURPOSE. It’s something about poetic lyrics that knows how to move a listener. The opening introduction to “I SEE YA” by JKeysMWB was poised with poetry, I loved it. As a natural lover of deep messages, I found this to be profoundly refreshing in music. Gladly, JKeysMWB didn’t fail to deliver with the poignant lyricism. Everything in “I SEE YA” felt authentic, natural, and real. It reminded me of the feel-good melodic hip-hop music J.Cole tends to make. JKeysMWB is much needed in today’s culture of hip-hop. Considering the youth is heavily influenced by rap, he can change the culture and shape it into something more meaningful. With substantial music like “I See YA” there’s definitely room for him to eat. Listen to “I SEE YA” here and get to know more about JKeysMWB below! Hey JKeysMWB! For starters, what are some qualities you would say makes up JKeysMWB? Originality, creativity, self motivation, and most of all being truthful. These qualities always separated me from others, it’s what got me this far. I stand on creating music for a purpose, not for the money or the fame but to really impact someone’s life. Who are some of your inspirations? In what ways have they inspired you? People like Gemstones, RobWalk and B sport definitely inspired me to start rapping seriously. Being raised by my grandmother I listened and fell in love with old school dusties. Musicians like Marvin Gaye , The Spinners, Earth Wind & Fire , etc. Artist such as Tupac, Erykah Badu, Ja’Rule, Nelly, Jaheim, and J. Cole. I Respect their creativity, they all have a place in my music. Let’s talk about your music. “I SEE YA” was a hit! What was the main message behind it? Appreciating the value in our women, and just showing respect to the ones who give us everything such as Love, kids, and happiness the things that matter in life. The world is upside down right now and It's crazy because we take the people we need the most for granted. Being a son, brother, father, and husband I see the love women put into the world, but I also see the pain the world puts on them. I just wanted to remind them that their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. What inspired you to write this? In what ways does it reflect on who you are as an artist JKeysMWB? Growing up being the only boy in the house gave me a high level of respect for women. My grandmother who was born in 1932 raised me and my 2 sisters one younger and one older. I had to hear/see what adversity females had to deal with growing up first hand, and trust me it’s a lot. Watching my sisters grow from girls to women was a crazy ride. Women have to face a lot more than man in this world that’s a fact. I just wanted to create something not just for them, but for all girls/women around the world. What’s next for you? WORKING! I am looking to release a record mid-July titled “ Social Media” with my first visual. I am also looking to release an EP late august along with a short documentary explaining how and why each song on the EP was created. Kenneth Cane is the kind of artist you hear once, and will continue to listen repeatedly. Kenneth curates sounds that make your senses explode with passion and emotion. Kenneth Canemakes us feel things we miss feeling when we listen to R&B soul music. Kenneth brings us back the remiisncet feeling of R&B soul that we need to hear more of nowadays, and we’re thankful Kenneth is adding his graces to the category. Kenneth Cane expands and ultimately paves the way for future R&B/soul artists to share their truth through their music, and make listeners truly feel something when listening. Kenneth Cane comes out with his latest single “Be Mine” and we fell in love right from the start. Immediately we’re introduced to the soft sound of a piano, integrated with Kenneth’s old-school R&B vocalism that floats upon your ears like a feather. His voice sounds like a mesh of Frank Ocean and Daniel Caesar—the right kind of combination we’ve forever been waiting for. As "Be Mine" continued, Kenneth Cane blew our expectations away with what we thought he was capable of as an artist. His vocalism is truly dynamic—the notes he is able to hit, and not only hit, but sing with such grace and flow, is incredible. We feel relaxed and euphoric listening to Kenneth Cane’s "Be Mine", and that’s the right type of feeling to be felt while listening to a magnificent artist such as Kenneth. Feel free to listen with us below to get true and honest sense of what Kenneth Cane is capable of as an artist. Listen to “Be Mine” here, and keep scrolling for Kenneth Cane’s interview! Hey Kenneth! Tell our readers why you decided to go into music! Music has always been the number one influence in my life. It has also influenced how I dress, talk,  and even down to my mentality in certain aspects. Doing music has been the most natural thing I’ve ever done (other than basketball) so it was only right I’d follow my passion. As an artist, what are some challenges you personally face when curating your music? As an artist I’d say the biggest challenge I face is not finishing writing songs soon enough. I love to pull inspiration from my surroundings and life experiences which sometimes causes me to leave songs half written while I move on to new ones. Doing that makes it a bit hard to replicate that  initial feeling i had at the start when I try to go back and finish a half written song. Who would you say are your top three musical influences? Personal influences? Biggie for his story telling Currensy for his candences and content Al green for his swag and smoothness on songs . Your voice really glides across our senses—you have the voice of an angel! Does this sound truly come effortlessly to you? Aha I appreciate that, because of the huge music influence in my house I’ve been experimenting with singing since I was like 4 or 5 which enabled me to hold notes, learn how to manipulate my voice to falsettos, etc... But some vocal coaching and practicing definitely helped my execution and technique. Are you planning to play in any upcoming shows for the rest of 2019 No shows currently planned for the rest of 2019 so far, just focusing on putting out more content, but it’s definitely a possibility Connect with Kenneth Cane on social media www.instagram.com/kennethcanee

Hey Afrodite! How’ve you been? I've been great! I just finished some summer classes so i'm happy to have more time to make music. Can you tell our readers the most important piece of advice you’ve received throughout your musical career so far? I think the advice that's stuck to me the most is that you're never the same person twice. So it's important to capture your thoughts and ideas as they come to you because some times they turn out to be the best songs or poems later. I find myself writing in random places a lot sometimes. How was the curation process for “Sorry”? Did your vision for this song ultimately come true? I actually wrote it after getting someone upset and I kind of wanted to apologize but also be honest about how i felt at the time. Recording it was cool because the producer, R€UBBO¥, is also a close friend of mine so we recording at his house and he handled all the engineering because that's his thing. As a female rapper, do you ever encounter subsequent boundaries within the music industry? Sometimes people assume I sing, or underestimate whatever I'm going to rap about. Some people put me in a box but none of that really bothers me. I don't limit myself or my art and I intend on being myself both in and behind the music. Can we expect to see any new releases for the rest of 2019? I'm actually finalizing my first EP right now. It's going to have  five songs and I'm planning some visuals for my favorite songs on the project. I'm super excited to share it with everyone. Anyone who comes to my performances may have heard a song or two before but I'm excited to publicize it. I'm proud of the progress I've made so far and I'm excited to keep going.
