  • Ace Wild Is The Next Big Thing With “To The Grave”

Ace Wild been involved in music since his junior high days but surprisingly didn’t do anything vocally. He started off with piano then moved to percussion shortly after. Ace Wild decided to go for an associates degree in business administration but it didn’t play out for him. However, that is when he met his fellow producer/artist Dre Blessed. Dre came up with the name “Ace Wild” and they rolled forward without stopping! They’ve been doing shows, dropping singles and just simply cherishing the moment as creatives. They have a bunch of projects in line for 2019 and their music consists of topics that includes mental diseases, family, personal struggles, and the current generation. Ace Wild released their single titled “To the Grave” and it begins with an haunting dark introduction, showing signs of an aggressive beat , and preparing their listeners for what’s about to occur. What completely mesmerized us was the crazy insane flow! The flow was at a highly rapid, fast-paced tempo and delivered with an aggressive, and electric punch. A good comparison to give you an idea would be Eminem fused with Busta Rhymez. Although the delivery and tempo are quick, you’re still hooked on the lyrics and the connotation behind it. “To The Grave” is a single with many layers that you can uncover instead of simply just listening. You don’t find yourself captivated by one portion of the song, you find yourself fully absorbed into the music and the presence of Ace Wild is strongly felt while listening to “To The Grave”. Ace Wild is an iconic duo who delivers their music to you with an exciting punch you don’t mind taking! Check out "To The Grave". Read more with Ace Wild in BuzzMusic's exclusive interview below! Hello and welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you tell our readers about yourself and how you started your career in music? I've been doing music ever since I was young. I became a drummer throughout junior high and high school, but never thought I would use those skills in the future. What I'm doing now, what I have done so far, and what I will continue to do has always been the dream for me. In mid/late 2017, after dropping out of college, I thought the only thing to do was party. I fell back into alcohol, and on my 19th birthday, I got picked up by the cops on a street corner, blacked out and puking blood. After my hospital visit, word got around to my closest friends, and it carried on to who helped me create myself. Dre came to me, knowing how low my life was, and asked me if I'd like to give music a try. He had a home studio about an hour away from where I lived, and invited me to his house. The first day I was up there, we spent 14 straight hours going through material, beats, old music, new music, etc. We shared our life stories, struggles, dreams, and found out we were more alike than we thought. Dre came up with the name (Ace Wild). He knew it had a double meaning, which led to my first big single "Wild Card". Since the drop of that song, things have been flying forward ever since. Tell us about “To The Grave” and the meaning behind it? "To the Grave" was originally supposed to be a beat for our (then album) project "Blood Tears", but we left it alone for a while. At one point in time, Dre restructured the beat with a more complex drum pattern, and the vibe enhanced tremendously. I ended up recording the hook, and we kept it that way for a couple months to get back to it. I had written about 6 different verses for the song, and ended up using bits and pieces to place it all together. The hook stands out to us the most for sure. One of the phrases that holds true meaning is "Coast to Coast I might blow". This refers to our very first performance together, which was on the Coast2Coast Live Tour in Chicago. I don't purposely hold grudges, but the whole set up was misleading, and judged poorly, so it kind of leans on the fact that artists shouldn't rely on "American Idol" style performances that you have to pay hundreds of dollars to get very little amount of time to perform. Aside from the hook, the overall meaning behind this song is that no matter what I display on a track, the lyrics, the attitude, and the way people view us within/outside the industry, it will all go with me until I die, proudly. Were there any key influences/inspirations for “To The Grave” ? This track was inspired by a statement that Dre tells me often, which is, "No one is promised tomorrow". Why should anybody have to die leaving something behind? Or regret? Telling people the truth isn't always something somebody wants to hear, but will NEED to hear at some point in time. I made sure to touch on all bases with this influence going from personal situations, to artists currently getting "famous", to people who continuously put us down for not being afraid to be creative. All in all, this track is a big thank you for the supporters, and non-supporters of our voices. What’s your favorite element about “To The Grave”? My favorite element of the song is by far the war chant that appears throughout the track. It brings the song a different type of atmosphere, almost like a "going into battle" style, if you will. After (Dre's) intro is the first "Oo-rah", and I believe it sets the track aside from anything we've put out. What’s next for you? "To the Grave" is the third single off of my album "UNORTHDOX", which will be coming out in summer of this year. Aside from my album, we'll move on with more singles, we have a couple EP's in the works, albums, other artists joining us in the studio, live performances, and just continuing to build our names. • Jody Leylac Releases Exhilarating Single, “Give Me What I Want”

Jody Leylac's music career began in Jamaica where she was born. Her first beginning performances were for her church choir where she merged together the sounds of gospel and the island flare. At the age of 15, Jody moved to New York where new rhythms found her and she discovered the new exploration of genres including pop, rock, and alternative music that melded with the melodies of her childhood and, in exchange, inspired her genre-bending style. She will be releasing her first EP titled “This Is Forever” with tracks that experiment with alternative and electronic music but pays homage to the sounds and rhythms that made her. Jody Leylac released her single titled “Give Me What I Want” and the alternative electronic pop song is introspective and a reflection of Jody Leylac’s funky, charismatic nature and personality. “Give Me What I Want” is the perfect record that could skyrocket to a mainstream success with its highly danceable beat and infectious pop melodies. Who doesn’t love a good pop song that gets you dancing and feeling the emotive lyrics? The beat transcends in dynamics especially towards the end of the song where there seems to be a dramatic and climaxing electronic increase from a low level sound all the way to the highest chord potential that makes you feel like you’re receiving a natural musical high. Jody’s addicting vocal tone is just the genetic makeup of the song that completes the entire appeal to the record. “Give Me What I Want” is an energetically contagious song we’re sure many people will want to catch a rhythm too! Check out "Give Me What I Want". Read more about Jody Leylac in our exclusive interview below! Hi Jody! It's great to chat with you. Can you tell our readers a bit about you! Hey guys! Thanks for chatting with me. I’m an alternative singer/songwriter who is chasing my dreams and making them reality. I’m currently residing in New York and plan on touring the world non stop making music and art while documenting the experience. How has performing in the church impact or benefit your style and sound? While growing up in Jamaica, I was a part of a lot of singing groups and choirs in the church. I believe it helped my singing style because I got first-hand experience of the different types of melodies and the different ranges in the tones of all the voices I’ve sung with and me being eager to learn, wanted to know how to sing all of the harmonies and I never stopped trying until I figured it out and was eventually allowed to freely do so by the producers I now work with. Tell us about the single “Give Me What I Want” and the meaning behind this song!? “Give Me What I Want” is literally claiming what is yours instead of allowing people to dictate what it is that you should want. It’s a song saying that it’s okay to want what you personally want, even if it’s deemed as weird because not everyone is going to want the same thing. Wow! That’s a lot of wants in that explanation ha! But in the end, you shouldn’t allow people to stop you from going after what you desire. What inspired you to write “Give Me What I Want”? The inspiration came from my life where there were people forcing things on me that I didn’t resonate with but still tried it to please them and when it didn’t work out I realized that wasn’t what I truly wanted. What I want is a bit warped to a “regular” person, and some won’t understand that, but my job isn’t to explain that to them but to go for what I want regardless of how it’s perceived. What’s next for you through 2019? 2019 will bring forth the release of my E.P. called “This Is Forever!” There will be more music videos and lots more performances and traveling so keep up with my YouTube channel and social media platforms. It’s going to be a wild year and I’m ready for it all. Follow Jody Leylac on social media! Instragram: www.instagram.com/jodyleylac Facebook: www.facebook.com/JodyLeylacmusic #BuzzMusic

  • An Adrenaline Shot Of HOLY WOW!

HOLY WOW! is exactly what today's music scene needs. A little grunge, a little goth, and a lot of rock. Front man Dmitry Wild is Russian born, New York raised, and California grown. He found a way to channel all of his energy into music. By his late teens he had already been a part of many collaborations with local bands. Dmitry and his wife Jennifer Claroscura even formed a group called Wild Things. Everything changed for Dmitry when his father fell ill and sadly passed, but this gave Dmitry the push and inspiration to live life to the fullest and follow his own passions. HOLY WOW! formed in 2016, Dmitry is the sole creator of this edgy project. He has an extensive background in music and it's evident in HOLY WOW!’s incredible single “Dreamland”. The song gives off an old school rock vibe, while still keeping things indie and modern. It’s hypnotizing rhythm keeps your interest, while the lyrics let your mind wander. The guitar chords are spectacular throughout, the electric back-beats are groundbreaking and we can’t get enough of Dmitry Wild’s vocals! It’s haunting, it’s mystical, it’s transcendent. HOLY WOW! is giving us a fresh new Franz Ferdinand feeling, with a twist. HOLY WOW! released a debut album in January 2019 and we’re already dying to see what’s next. Listen to “Dreamland” here and get to know more about HOLY WOW! below. Hello, welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you tell us more about your background and how you got into music? Hi thank you. My background is really vast. I came from Moscow to New York with my fam when I was 14, then I started playing music at 19, because being an immigrant sucks, you feel like you are living in a bubble and I wanted to break out, I wanted to be part of New York. I fell into music in the early 90's and the radio waves were blasting grunge non-stop. I joined a jazz band in High School, I thought I could play bass, but got kicked out of it for playing so bad. Feeling the angst and not giving a damn, I picked up bass in my first band I created with my friend Vinni from college. We called it Table Dreams, and we wrote songs about Immigration, getting your passport and moving out and getting high. We sang in English and even got somewhat of a following. I performed wearing Mozart's wig and drank so much vodka before shows, I barely remembered even performing. Then we fell apart, or I disbanded it, cause I wanted to play British influenced goth rock and Vinni wanted to play metal. I met my wife and we made a band Wild Things and then we moved to California, and I made another band there called Weapons of The Future, and it was quite a fun ride, we started getting a following there, but the drugs took hold of our sanity and people started losing connection and then I had to come back to New York and after my Pap left this earth I created another band called it Wizard Sex, in the style of Rock-n-Roll blues rock, but always felt like I am not quite saying or singing what I want. I always felt like I am stuck between being a clown and an intelligent poet so I finally disbanded it as well. I wanted to take the reigns and drive my own ship. Lastly I created HOLY WOW! to express the sound I was hearing and I created a whole album mostly by myself which I was finally very happy with. If you could do a collaboration with one of your past bands now, who would you do it with? I really miss playing with the musicians from California, When I started playing with a bassist Ash Andersen in Wild Things and then we found Andres Lopez who played drums and we just renamed Wild Things into Weapons of the Future - things were good, and we were starting to sound cool. Of course we had to get more musicians in the mix, which was also great, but the issue unfolded when you had 5 people and it became difficult to navigate what we wanted and what we were doing and on top of it all I had to move back to New York for a family emergency, but I always thought California has some great people and musicians, but recently I found a way to collaborate with Ash Andersen. We are running a blog together, called Rock-n-Roll.biz where she is an editor. Check it out. We know your wife is also in the music industry, can we expect to see another collaboration with her in the future? Oh I am not sure about that. She lives inside her dreams and through her dreams. Look her up on youtube and you will see (Jenniffer Claroscura) She said she is a retired musician, she doesn't feel like it's her calling and I understand, but I still remain her biggest fan, when she sings, mystery seeps through the mic. What inspired you to write Dreamland? Tell us more about the meaning behind it! Unless the title doesn't disclose it, it is about the world of dreams. How we are driven by things in this life beyond our perception. Dreams are a big aspect of that. We are reliving whatever we dreamt already, since the dreams teach us about our future, all I know is that if we hear whatever our dreams are telling us, our lives will change and the change will put a Mona Lisa smile on our face. That smile that knows it all, but yet decides not to disclose. Mystery lives in the Dreamland if I may say so. What can we expect to hear next from you? I am working on a single now. One song that I have recorded back in California, called He is Like Air, about people being transparent like air, and the other one about the city how it's changing me from the inside, but I don't fight it, I accept it, since I know we have to bow to someone. • KamO Rides The Wave In This Summer Hit!

KamO says that 2019 is all about first steps. He’s always considered himself as a music lover but his interest wasn’t just tunneled to hip-hop. When it comes to his own music, he self-describes it as carefully crafted with the intent to deliver a very lyrical message. He’s a normal man working a regular job and paying bills just like everyone else. With the freedom to imagine and bring to life any concept, he feels as if his music is an outlet for him to escape from reality. All his music is completely engineered by upcoming producer Doug Leto, and he released his first album on his birthday titled “Another K.O”. We listened to the single “Ride” and the way KamO rode the beat was impressive! “Ride” is truly a vibe song. While listening to “Ride” I painted the image of a good breeze, a nice car, and an attractive girl by my side while I cruise around to “Ride”. “Ride” was ardent and had a more up-beat energy surrounding the song. In this upcoming season of summer we need a good tune that reflects on the charisma, fun, and vibrancy that the weather and season exudes. ‘Ride’ completely serves as a representation of these qualities and traits and this is why we love the song so much! The lyrics were a fun way to talk about a topic that’s actually raunchy and sexual. They transformed sensualism into light-hearted passion. The melody to “Ride” plants a memorable seed into our brain, to whereas soon as the song finishes playing you start to miss it and want to listen to it again. For a newcomer in the music industry, this is highly impressive. KamO projected a star quality persona through his music within a 3 minute and 57 second time span. The melodic hip-hop song is going to be the jam of the season, and we’re excited to see where KamO goes with his career. If you’re anticipating new music from KamO, he’s currently working on his next album titled “2020” in which will premiere in January. Listen to "Ride" here. Check out our interview with KamO below! Who are some of your key influences, KamO? Besides my fiancee and daughter which unknowingly influence me daily to work hard not just in association with my music but in every aspect of my life. Musically who influences me? I'd say Ace Hood, T-Pain and J. Cole are a few artist that I've been listening to heavy lately. Not saying that I don't listen to what's trending on the Billboard's list. Honestly I spend most of my time listening to new instrumentals. So my producer is for sure an influence. I am truly grateful to have been introduced to Doug Leto. The way his mind works mixes well with my evolving style. Once I started recording at his studio the demos have just multiplied. So I listen to my own music to study and try to find new ways to improve on MY sound. Tell us about “Ride” and the meaning behind it? "Ride" was one of the first songs I wrote where I actually utilized music as an outlet from reality. I took the thought of just showing interest in a woman and working up the nerve to approach her. Exaggerated that thought and created an alluringly fictional tale of a bachelor pursuing desire. What inspired you to write “Ride”? "Ride"; like a lot of my content, was written while I was incarcerated. Since I had no means of listening to instrumentals. I would focus more on the lyrics and coming up with what I thought sounded like catchy choruses. I would spend a lot of time thinking about how a woman would want to be spoken to. Those ideas birthed many songs including "Ride." Tell us about your album “Another K.O” what are some main themes behind it? Another KO is just me trying to deliver knockout after knockout. You can't spell KamO without a "KO". Wanted to showcase my songwriting ability. Every song on the album except for the featured artists' verses was written solely by me. At the same time I wanted to leave my two and a half years of growth in the studio transparent from track one to track fourteen. Produced and Engineered by Doug Leto(@letobeats). I've turned into a nerd in my adulthood. I have a DragonballZ theme song on the album titled "Saiyan." A bunch of songs for the ladies that want to be swept off their feet. Other songs for those who just want to have fun and live in the moment. Lastly I have a handful of songs that dive into my thought process, my struggle, my determination and what many have said after listening, "my potential." What could we expect from your next album!? Oh My next album... Well for starters it's thought out. From the title "2020." To the date I want to release it. To the number of songs that'll be on it. Produced and engineered again by Doug Leto. It'll be 100% KamO. I want it to be a Solo project that shows further consistency in my songwriting ability. In the process giving whomever listens to my lyrics and various concepts a reason to listen again. Stay connected with KamO on social media! • J. Harris Is The Next Upcoming RnB King! "Dying Breed"

    J. Harris is a singer/songwriter from North Carolina whose making his own way and sound into the music industry. He’s no stranger to entertaining crowds and started out at the early age of 8. As he grew older, he began modeling himself after his influences which included legendary artists like Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Ne-yo, and many more. With a strong passion dedicated to creating music, he began writing and recording songs all while crafting his own style. We took a listen to “Come Thru” from J. Harris latest album, “Last of a dying breed.” In the upcoming summer season, this song is perfect to catch a vibe to! Just like the popular summer break, everything about “Come Thru” was vibrant, bold, and colorful. “Come Thru” just radiated joyful energy through its listeners and you’re instantly creating images of pool parties, swimwear, attractive crushes everywhere and good music! “Come Thru” would be the most fitting radio hit that we won’t get tired of hearing this summer. The RnB hit delivered playful and charismatic energy. After hearing this impressive single we just had to listen to more! We completely absorbed “Dying Breed” which seemed to be the leading song off the album. I mean the title of the record is reflective of the title of the album so we instantly garnered the idea of what the entire theme of “Last of a dying breed” was presenting. “Dying breed” has to be added to my personal playlist because I could most definitely see myself playing this song in my car and cruising down sunny California with the breeze flowing in and out the windows. It had this whimsical cocky nature to the song which was attractive and appealing to the artistry of J. Harris. While absorbing the ideas behind great entertainers, he's always placed his own personality in all that he does. With his writing skills, unique sound and superior talent, J-Harris looks to become one of the driving forces in the industry and heads toward the legendary stature comparable to those that have influenced him. And with songs like “Come Thru” “Dying Breed” and “The Wave” off this magnetic album, we can see he is on his way! Listen to "Dying Breed" here and get to know more about J. Harris below! Out of all your influences, who do you think you cater your style to the most and why? I would say probably Michael Jackson overall but also NeYo as well. I've listened to so much of their music over the years and still do for inspiration to this day. I believe if you pattern yourself after greatness you'll achieve the same in your own path or career. So for me, these two and are the biggest influences and and who have influenced my style the most. They have timeless music and that's the impact I wanna leave as well. Tell us about your album “Last of a dying breed” and the themes this project reflect? It's hard to really say the album had a theme to it because I didn't really have a true theme or direction while writing and recording. I was just in a great place and mindset and wrote some dope records that ended up turning into what's now "Last Of A Dying Dying Breed." I can say that I definitely wanted to show versatility and give a bit of variety which I think I accomplished. So I'm happy with it and it seems all the listeners are too. How does “Come Thru” fit into the plethora of songs off “Last of a dying breed” ? "Come Thru" fits because it's just a feel good song like the rest of the album. I enjoy music that makes me feel good and that's also the type of music I strive to make. "Come Thru" like the other songs are their to set the tone or vibe of whatever you're doing, wherever you're at, etc...As soon as it comes on, you're just like "Ayeee..thats my joint right there!" Lol In your personal opinion, which song is your favorite from “Last of a dying breed” and why? My favorite song on the album is "The Wave". I'm a huge fan of old school music and the past era's greats. That song can bridge all ages together whether you're from this generation or from any of the previous generations that were raised on soul and classic rhythm and blues. I remember being a kid and hearing my mom and dad still go crazy and turn up the volume on records from The Isley Brothers, The O'Jays, Marvin Gaye and whoever made music back in those era that still plays today. "The Wave" just reminds me of a modern day Motown Sound and that was a sound that was infectious back then, still very influential and will be for generations to come. I'm looking forward to making more records like it. What’s next for you? I'm in the studio working on new material as we speak. The team and I also are working on me being able to perform some of everywhere soon. Spring is finally here and summer will be here before you know it and the best festivals music has to offer are coming up. I wanna perform in every one of them I can and just grab more listeners, more streams and build the fan base as huge as possible. The goal is to make my name, music and brand known in every household across the world I will not stop until we've accomplished that and some! Connect with J. • Haiti Babii Promises To "Change Ya Life"

Haiti Babii was born in Oakland, CA and he moved to Stockton Ca at a young age. Unfortunately, his father was taken from him due to the senseless act of gun violence in the streets of Oakland. It was the move to Stockton where Haiti began to settle in and flourish in basketball. The athleticism inherited from his father, who was of Haitian descent blessed Haiti with a 45" vertical that put him on the path to the NBA. But he always felt something was different about him. Back in high school, Haiti dabbled a bit in rapping but it was never something he took seriously. It wasn’t until a case of mistaken identity stalled his basketball career. He was mistaken for someone else and shot by the police while at a party in Stockton Ca. When Haiti was released from the hospital and police custody a few days later, he knew he had survived the attack for a reason. It became his calling towards music. To reach the youth with his words and guide them down a better path, giving them the vision of hope and success that was tangible. He dropped his 1st single on July 27th 2018 with the help of his executive and friend "Gee" of slyyy ent. With hard work and determination the two launched Slyyy Ent and pushed the independent business model into the spotlight. Haiti Babii released his single titled “Change Ya Life” and it begins with the ultimate West-Coast introduction. “Money, power respect” are the opening lyrics to the record and alongside this hyphy element to the song that’s true to the root of classic California hip-hop music. I instantly began wanting to listen to “Change Ya Life” in a car as soon as I heard the first verse. I mean, the song is just the perfect vibe to cruise around too. Haiti Babii has his own style but is still digestible for the current trend and wave of rappers. You can’t necessarily compare his artistry because it blends together a significant amount of elements. “Change Ya Life” weaves the lines between classic gangster cali rap with contemporary rock n roll hip-hop alongside witty lyricism about love, curating an entire dimension of multifaceted traits. The melody catches the attention of all generations because it has an old school flare with a new class twist to it. The hook sings “don’t go telling all your friends, we in love foreal” , the lyrics are perfect for reflecting on a significant other or love interest. • What's Old Is New With Just Allen's Track "Smile"

Just Allen is a singer and songwriter born and bred in Mississippi. He is a versatile artist able to combine old and new school elements of R&B music, creating songs capable of love and tenderness and a simple desire to get on the dance floor. Some of his influences include Teddy Pendergrass and Jeffrey Osbourne, but Just Allen is interested in taking these old school methods and presenting them with a modern twist. He was also the recipient of the 2016 Southern Laced Artist of the Year. “Smile” is a single from Just Allen’s album called “This Time”. Listeners are immediately struck with a juxtaposition of old and new, with the samples for the beats having an unmistakable new-school vibe, and the vocals having a classic and timeless sonic quality. The mood is dignified, with a steady pace to the song in general. At times, backup vocals serve to elevate the lyrics in a tasteful and measured way. The chorus is beautifully crafted, complete with strings and a simple yet compelling lyrical melody. The vocals themselves are tuneful, thoughtful, and poetic in nature, and Just Allen seems to convey his message with relative ease and grace. We highly recommend you check out “Smile”, and the rest of Just Allen’s album. Listen to "Smile" here. Check out our exclusive interview below! Thank you so much for answering a few questions! To start off, how did you first become involved with music and songwriting? I come from generations of musicians and singers, so it wasn’t long in my youth that I’d began to get into  music. At an early age I started to write poetry and poems. As time passed, I began singing whatever I had written on paper. Who would you describe as your greatest musical influences? I’m a huge fan of people like James Brown, Teddy Pendergrass, Jeffery Osborne, and Michael Jackson.  Growing up watching those artists gave me the style of music I have today. What does your writing process usually look like? How do your songs come together? My song writing usually comes from past events that I have encountered. Many things I’ve gone through or visualized in life has been a part of my song process. I start of with putting words to melodies that I have playing over and over in my mind, and it comes out to be a masterpiece. As a native of Mississippi, how would you describe the overall music scene there? The music scene in my great state of Mississippi is definitely live! So many musicians and singers, everyone walking around with these amazing musical talents. Most of the time you find people here that are in competition with each other to see who produce the best records. What can we hope to see from Just Allen moving forward? You can look forward to seeing me produce and write more music as well as out on a great show for the people who love my music and the talent that I bring to the R&B and Pop table.
