- Fresh Sound, Fresh Voice; Dinneh Star With Her Debut Single “Does She Even Know”
This fresh new sound goes by the name of Dinneh Star, a 20 year old singer/songwriter hailing from the OC now based out of LA. After trying her luck in community college in Orange County, she decided to drop out and move to LA to chase her dreams. Dinneh Star has influences deriving from Aerosmith, Prince, and even Alabama Shakes. She isn’t set on writing within a specific genre but instead letting the music speak to her. Her debut single, “Does She Even Know” is a tale of her personal heartbreak. Tuning in as we venture into the world of Dinneh Star! Striking! The simplicity of the single definitely lets her voice steal the show. Her sound is reminiscent of Sabrina Claudio mixed with her own swag. I love how the accompaniment in this track are the strings. Then there are very soft sounds that linger in the background. Sounds that flow with the sound of her voice. I love how the chorus gives you a smooth upbeat tempo and then fades back into the chilling melody of the strings. I can hear the pain within her lyrics but to hear it in her voice is so pleasing to the ear. She really doesn’t belong in one single category of sound because she is versatile! There is a strength in this singer and I love that she took a chance on her dream because this debut is EVERYTHING! Listen to 'Does She Even Know" here and catch up with the artist in our interview below! Hi Dinneh, great to chat with you! Tell us a bit about yourself! Hey y'all it is great to chat with you! Well I am 20 years old, originally from Huntington Beach, and I moved out here to LA about 9 months ago to pursue my dreams of being in the music industry, and attend my dream school Musicians Institute! What is the story behind your name? Star is actually my middle name. My name Dinneh means Navajo, which is the Native American tribe I belong to, and my mom chose my middle Star so I could always find my way back to my people. Tell us about the moment you realized you wanted to drop out of school to pursue music? How did you make that transition? The moment I realized I wanted to drop out of school to go to MI (Musicians Institute) was actually when I wrote my first song. As awful as it sounds I remember thinking that I could care less how my life ended up, I just lost my grandfather and was still grieving the loss of my grandmother and aunt, so might as well go after the one thing in my life that never failed me, music. My parents were supportive but said if I wanted to do it, I had to find a way to pay for it. So I did, and I moved out to LA just 2 months later. LOVE your new single “Does She Even Know”? It's such a good vibe. Can you tell us a bit about the creation process for it? Do you write your own music? Thank you so much, that means a lot! Writing a song is such a beautiful and spiritual thing for myself. I almost never know what I am going to write about until I start writing. I never go in thinking, 'Hey I feel great today, let's write a love song'. I remember I came across the chord progression for "Does She Even Know" and it spoke to me, and brought up feelings of the past and then I wrote that song that day about those feelings. And thats how I usually write a song, the music speaks to me and it's like something else entirely takes over and Im talking about things I havent completely dealt with or talked about with anyone. What's next for you through 2019? I have a few exciting things coming up in 2019! You can expect to see a music video for one of my songs, a few more releases, and hopefully some gigs! www.instagram.com/dinnehstar #BuzzMusic
- Buca Tini Is Shutting Down All The Liars In Their Latest Track “Gaslighter”
Tempo Stokes and Kristine Kreska have teamed up to create Buca Tini! Tempo Stokes, singer/songwriter, has written for and collaborated with huge names. Some of those include: J. Lo, Kevin Hart, Drake, Robin Thicke, CeeLo, Brandy, Nelly and many many more! He also has music that is licensed for television shows. Some of those networks include The CW, BET, VH1, E, and the list goes on. This team created the single, Gaslighter and wrote it with humor to help people laugh when remembering hardships or painful situations. Tuning into this humorous single! Wow! What an upbeat track! I was shocked upon starting the song. I love everything about this song. There is a powerhouse beat here with a lovely hip hop, funk, jazz, dance feel. You find yourself bobbing your head or dancing to this song. But if you listen to the words you really hear that in a way this is an uplifting song. Like forget that person that did you wrong or hurt you and you are bigger and better now! I love how they blended this song to make it catchy and classic at the same time. The horns really give this song that good old classic sound. I love this duo and I hope they have more to come! Listen to "Gaslighter" here. Hey Buca Tini! It's great to chat with you! Can you tell us a bit about your backgrounds in the music industry! I am a film producer and music supervisor. I originally approached Tempo to write a song with me for a movie concept. After writing a few songs together, we knew we had a special synergy bringing our two worlds together. Tempo is the star talent. He’s written for and collaborated with artists such as Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Kevin Hart, CeeLo, Robin Thicke, Brandy, Nelly & many more. He’s also licensed music for television shows on networks like The CW, BET, VH1, E! Where are you both from? Kristine is from Detroit and Tempo is from Los Angeles. Buca Tini is such an interesting name, how was it created? Now, this is a funny story... As we tried to think of a "band name" for our first song, Gaslighter, every name we could think of was already taken. Discouraged, I made myself some noodles and looked at the box in my hands... Bucatini No. 15. I quickly ran to my laptop and looked up the name, Buca Tini. How did you two link for this collab and what sparked this track? I wrote some lyrics and had an idea for the melody. I approached Tempo and asked his opinion. I was thrilled that he liked it and wanted to record it. Tell us a bit about your company Music Design Network Tempo and I wanted to create a company that bridged the gap between agencies and filmmakers. I am a filmmaker. It takes long hours to look through music libraries when searching for the "perfect vibe" to a scene. Sometimes we don't find what we are looking for and need to create original music anyway. MDN is a place where a producer or music supervisor or brand can tell us exactly what they need and why. We take that information and deliver something that matches your requirements. Can we expect more collabs from you two in the future? Absolutely! We have a few new songs that have not been released. It's a busy time of year and we are excited to share many new titles. Be prepared for some fun stuff! #BuzzMusic
- The World In HD Shares How He “Came Up” In His New Hit Single
This Florida native and Carolina raised, The World In HD is an East Coast Rapper making himself known in the Hip Hop world. He began making music at an early age. Now currently based in Atlanta, this independent artist is pushing boundaries and turning heads! The World In HD’s songs reflect various emotional experiences he has had in life and then others are just creative metaphors and fun wordplay on top of catchy beats. This artist has been pushing out dope music and now sharing with us his latest track “Came Up”. Can we say HELLO! Where did this guy come from! We mean that in the best way. We missed that sound in Hip Hip that you would get from the likes of Paul Wall and Lil’ Flip and The World In HD delivers all the sounds! To be from Florida and live in Atlanta but to have such a deep southern style is amazing. We love how catchy this tune is! Lyrically you can relate to a “Came Up” when you make it from nothing and that is what we respect most about this song. I definitely hear the Atlanta instrumentals going in the back and crazy enough this blend works so well! We can’t wait to hear more from The World In HD! Listen to "Came Up" here! Hey! If you don’t mind could you introduce yourself to our readers? Well for starters, I go by The World In HD, or HD for short. The name isn't just any name. My initials are actually HD, so "The World In HD" is describing the thoughts and emotions inside my head. How has your upbringing influenced your music? Well when I was little, I didn't have much music to pick from outside of the radio and what my mom listened to. I ended up knowing Enya, Dido, Tracy Chapman, and the likes, before I even knew rock, and years before I knew rap. A friend of mine showed me Linkin Park "Hybrid Theory", and I fell in love and had that CD on repeat on my little disc player for at least a year. The first time I heard rap, I believe it was Will Smith "Miami", and I thought it was so cool hahaha. I remember somewhere around that time also being allowed to listen to the edited version of AfroMan, Weird AL, and even 50 cent when he first came out. Junior high and high school is when I discovered all these artists who are now considered classics. I obviously loved rap because I kept listening to it, but what I didn't realize was that I had a talent for it. I knew every word to every song, and it wasn't because I listened to it on repeat. I'm able to memorize lyrics insanely quickly. So the passion transitioned from listening to creating later on. I wasn't encouraged to pursue music, much less rap, until I was about 20. I bought a laptop and some basic recording equipment and set it up, and go figure, I have no idea what I was doing. I met a guy who would end up playing a huge part in me making music, and thankfully at the time he knew a thing or two, so we just started creating. I wasn't positive what to make music about at first, so he'd make some party songs, but he'd also tell me to vent. To write things down I was afraid to tell people at the time. And that's where 8 discovered I had a talent for storytelling some very chilling stories. At this point in my life, Eminem, Tech N9ne, and a little bit of party music was my entire library. So I guess that's how my songs have come to be so far, a wide variety of situations put into songs haha. Why did you create this song, “Came Up”? This song was made as something to be able to bump to. A banger, fun song, smooth and groovy, all the fun stuff. I've done a few deep and emotional songs, and of course the fan base loves them, because that's where some interest lays, but I wanted to make some music that they could smile to and be happy listening to as well. Are there any other genres of music you hope to dive into? Well I can sing just a little, you know, like some Everlast "What It's Like" and stuff like that, so I think some form of rap rock could be cool. But really I like being the rap part on songs, so with other genres, I think it'd be a better flow if I collaborated with artists in other genres, rather than trying to randomly make music that sounds like other genres. Tech N9ne has a song called "Straight Out The Gate" where he got Serj Tankian, and I thought that song was incredible. It wasn't tech trying to be rock, it was tech collaborating with rock, and it was beautiful. So yeah, something like that would be mad dope. How do you plan to use your musical platform to spark change? Well when I first started writing songs, there were some depressing lyrics. It wasn't intentional, just got in a mood and started writing. The bars were great, flow was great, the lyrics were just dark. The fact that it came so natural made me think there was something there, so I made two official songs out of those moods, and we got "Here With You" and "In Your Arms" featuring my singer RUVI. She has an amazing voice, and delivers absolutely chilling vocals for both of those songs, so the whole package makes them tear jerkers. But my point is that I decided to make a song about dealing with mental illness, and a song about mourning a close friend who died from an overdose. I'd love to spark change in the mental illness category, whether it be helping people through their situations with my music, relating to them, anything like that. I want to connect with people and show them I know how real life truly can get, and there are times it just feels pointless, but the beauty lies through pushing past those points to get to the amazing moments. That's what I've done. I didn't see myself reaching this level with music, or I guess I just didn't see myself creating some of the particular songs I did. But I'm just another guy is my point. You find your passion, you pursue that shit, of course it's going to be hard. It's the beauty of fighting through every painful moment for an awesome moment. Sorry this answer is so long by the way lol I suffer from anxiety, depression, and a mild form of tourrettes, so I'd like to tie them all into music in some way. Bring awareness to all of the categories in a positive manner. Listen to "Another Minute" here and get to know the band in our interview below! Hi guys! Congratulations on your latest single “Another Minute”! You can tell how much time and energy went into this song. How does it feel listening to the finished product now available to listeners? It feels so great to have the song out and to hear all the positive feedback about it! After posting a few live videos of the song back in November, we got several requests to release it, so it feels really great to deliver! You indicated you met through a Canadian buy and sell site. Just curious what were you selling and how did it lead to collaborating and forming Quinn Mills & the Common Era? My drummer Chris posted an add on Kijiji searching for an artist to work with and when we met we clicked immediately. A few days later, I posted an add searching for a bass player and Jules was the first person to audition. We worked so well together we had our first gig as a band a week later. What artists really inspired you to start making your own music? When I was younger my mom was a huge Rick Springfield fan, so I used to take his albums up to my room and learn them by ear. After a while of doing this at the age of 8 I realized I wanted to start making my own songs to play. In my early teenage years, my writing was heavily influenced by Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd. What can we look forward to from Quinn Mills & the Common Era this year? We are in the midsts of recording and mixing our second studio album so that is on the way. We are also hoping to get on a tour! You guys are insanely busy, playing over 150 shows over two year span, where do you find the time to sit down and write new songs? Song ideas often come to me at the most peculiar of times. Often in the shower a melody or lyric idea will pop into my head and I'll have to rush out to grab my guitar and write out the song. We also write together every time we practice and Jules and I will always exchange ideas. What's next for you through 2019? Through 2019 we are aiming to release our second album, go on tour and possibly play in the UK. - Buckle Up and Listen to The Citie’s New Single: “Let Me”
The car might not be racing but what’s going on inside certainly is. This smooth, relaxing alternative track from The Citie has us unwinding to the mellow melodies they are laying down for us. “Let Me” has a dreamy summer time love feel to it; young love, the kind where your boyfriend just pulled up outside your house and you race out to his ride, carefree and ready to cruise the strip together. The track has a nostalgic electric keyboard intro that has a very ‘Bowie-esque’ feel to it, suave guitars fade in and out, and the vocals are airy and persuading. The Citie is a band made up of three brothers (Adrian on guitar, Dan on bass and Jona lead vocals) based in Los Angeles, California. The brothers began playing music at a very young age, inspired by their parent’s classic rock record collection. Together as a band since 2011, The Citie have toured throughout the lower southwest and in 2018 they released their self-titled EP. “Let Me” is their most recent release but these guys are far from slowing down releasing a follow up project titled: “Dark Skies” due out this summer. Also on tap for the summer: a series of local shows and full tour within North & South America. “Let Me” is now streaming for your listening enjoyment! Listen to "Let Me" here and be sure to check out our exclusive interview with The Citie below! Hi guys! Thanks for taking the time to speak to us! How are you guys feeling about your latest release “Let Me” being available for fans to listen? Were very excited and happy to see our project come to fruition. From Spotify alone, the amount of feedback has allowed us to reach and surpass a personal milestone, hitting over 18k streams and 130 playlist’s. We’ve also seen a dramatic increase in engagement and praise on all social media. Very eager to see how things continue. A band of brothers must be an interesting dynamic. Do you guys ever but heads in the creative process and who ends up in a head lock? We definitely butt heads at times but ultimately we’re like you said, brothers. We’ve been through so much together and have learned how to agree and disagree. There have been times outside of the studio that we get a little more physical lol but once we get back in the studio, we’re dialed in. Where do the ideas come from in your song writing process? Experience, Experience, Experience. A lot of our material comes from our personal relationships, friendships and family upbringing. In 2014 our father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer, this was a major turning point in all of our lives. Since then he’s been constantly fighting to stay cancer free. In the same year 3 friends of ours (one of whom just turned 19) were involved in a tragic car accident in Santa Clarita. Our life triumphs and struggles have and will continue to shape our material. How has Los Angeles influenced your music? Los Angeles is engraved in us, thus it’s also engraved in our music. Growing up here in Los Angeles has contributed to our free spirited souls and acceptance of all people. Around the ages of 10-13 we’d ride our bikes to Hollywood to meet cool people, make new friends and always go to Guitar Center to mess around with the new gear. We are a product of our surroundings. What are you guys most looking forward to in the year ahead? We’re looking forward to announcing a tour later this year, along with releasing more music and content. Currently focusing on creating and developing more visuals, it’s been an experience in itself. We’ll be continuing this year with collaborating with a multitude of photographers, producers, musicians and creatives. Stay tuned and keep an eye out for all that’s too come. Listen to "Colors" here and connect with Mad In The Hat on social media for all new music, videos and updates! Hey Mad In The Hat! Care to introduce yourselves? My name is David Cannava. I’m am the Maestro and Drummer (in the Hat), and I’m creating the next evolution in electronic music. What are some challenges you guys have faced during your careers? I came to Los Angeles to be a professional drummer but realized there’s a very limited cap on what you can do if you’re not the one actually creating. So I set out to become the one who creates and controls everything, but from behind a drum set. I had to learn to write, produce, and direct. How do you overcome these challenges? I overcome these challenges though dedication to learning each of the new crafts. I just try to keep creating and get better and better at each turn. I also started to work with mentors, Dave Yaden and Jim Huff, who wrote and produced alongside me. This helped me jump to a level I could not have achieved by myself. Tell us a little bit about your single “Colors” and the meaning behind it!? I’m creating an electronic show that has a story to it. It’s a dive into your own consciousness to discover the greatness within yourself. We wrote this song with the idea of first arriving down the “rabbit hole” where everything is new, colors are coming at you from many different directions, and your experiencing these emotions for the first time. What was the most difficult aspect in creating “Colors” ? I had never written or produced before. I worked with multi-platinum producer, Jim Huff, and outstanding vocalist, Clara Stegall, to end up creating my first single. Who are some of your musical influences that have helped share your career in the music industry? My father, Greg Cannava, Zoro (drummer for Earth Wind and Fire, and Lenny Kravitz), Steve Jordan (world class session drummer), were my main drumming inspirations. Then I looked to many great producers and writers (Skrillex, Sia, Diplo, Swedish House Mafia) for ideas and inspiration of people who innovated and channeled their own sounds. What’s next for you through 2019? We are taking the show live. Trying different avenues and looking for opportunities to perform the vision I’m creating in my mind. I want to give the experience to the audience where they feel they are watching a movie, at an electronic festival, with full features and a narrative. - Itslawdjae Releases His New Hit "Finer Things" Off New Project "Vapours"
Itslawdjae is a producer, singer/songwriter and graphic designer currently living in Ontario, Canada. Itslawdjae is multi talented individual who knows how to set the bar high with his music. The idea behind his music? Simple. It’s an “escape” according to this rising artist. It's a escape from the constructs of society and self made limitations. It's motivated by a yearning to escape from the captivity of lack of creativity so at its core its meant to trigger something within the listener that makes them flow with creative surge, if that's not the case then at least you have a few moments to just vibe! In the recent November of 2018, Itslawdjae released his project titled “Vapours” which is an combination of different moods, in a particularly dark time in his life. A good coping mechanism for Jae himself to forget about the harsh realities in his life and Jae hopes it gives his listeners that same boost of inspiration and motivation. One song off this project is titled “Finer Things”. It begins with an ethereal introduction with dialog between a girl and guy. Right when the dialogue cuts off, Jae begins to flawlessly spit bars and deliver the heat with no sign of an extinguisher near! Itslawdjae sings in the hook which shows off his refining melodies and catchy tune. The beat reminds me of a cool fusion of pop, rap and trap. Listening to the groovy beat in "Finer Things" will make you want to dance! You can’t help but want to vibe with not only the record but the artist himself. “Finer Things” gave Jae the ability and freedom to let out his authentic and complex flare while conveying emotion behind his lyrics that’s true to his personal thoughts and life. If you need a vibe to explore then we suggest you checking out this prolific creator who goes by the name of Itslawdjae. How has your growing environment impact your style of music in any way? The musical scene in Zimbabwe was rather interesting growing, the early onset of my life wasn’t the best and in the areas I grew up the type of music we listened to was fast passed sebeng music with Congolese vibes to it but as things got better in life an we moved higher up on the food chain I got exposed to rap music initially from the likes of MMT an old rap group from Zimbabwe and eventually lil Wayne and a few other international acts. The influence of the various places I have ended up in has created a very interesting sound that is somewhat a combination of all the different genres I was exposed to. Tell us about the single “Finer Things” and what inspired you to write this? Vapours as a whole is a combination of different moods in particular dark times. Finer things was a promise of better things to come first and foremost from me to a significant other and second from the world to me. What was your favorite part in the creation process of “Finer Things” and why? The project took a long period of time to reach its completion. A lot of tracks were shuffled in and out but somehow finer things was the only one that wasn’t really adjusted. The way the beat switched back and forth allowed it to be versatile with a lot of different song options without affecting the flow of the project and I thought that people could appreciate that. How does Finer Things differentiate from the other releases off your EP “Vapours”? She said with Banggz was just a vibe. It took a few moments to have the song ready and the full story behind it is funny to say the least. So was rozay, which I had been working on for a while until Belema helped make it wavy with his Pompela flow. Finer things stands out to me because it encouraged me to dig into different emotions as a muse for music rather than the pain and the anger at that moment in time that change in mindset is something I definitely needed. What’s next for Itslawdjae? In the next few months I plan on dropping a couple singles and music videos for the songs on Vapours. I have been playing around with a few new sounds and it would be interesting to see how people react. Connect with Itslawdjae on Instagram. #BuzzMusic
- Release Radar: “Jungle Lick In Soho” By Mutant Vinyl
Mutant Vinyl, also known by Edwin Pope has been releasing and cultivating music in his own way since 2011. Having influences from Rudimental, Wolf Alice, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Mystery Jets just to name a few. His infectious music has gained him features on Radio 1, Radio 2, 6music and Amazing Radio. One of his songs, Lavender, won the SongLink prize for best contemporary song. Mutant Vinyl has even received praises from Sir Paul McCartney; this guy has created his own lane and killing it! He is endorsed by London’s premier instrument manufacturer Trevor James. We were eager to hear his latest release, “Jungle Lick In Soho”. That intro really got me going! It starts off with this really unique horn and the beat is such a blend. Like you know when you put a few blends of seasonings together and you aren’t sure what it’s going to taste like but then you taste it and its MAGICAL! That is my exact feelings in word form for this track. The title stood out to me as “Odd” but a good odd something that grabs your attention and has you wanting to know more. I love how his sound is the epitome of creating your own genre of music. His voice has a raspy sultry tone to it that is similar to a whisper but still strong! I can’t wait to tune into more from Mutant Vinyl! All in all, this is a definite track you're going to want to add to your playlists! Listen to “Jungle Lick In Soho” here and get to know the artist in our interview below! Hey Edwin! It's great to chat with you! Can you introduce yourself to our readers? Hey. I'm known creatively as Mutant Vinyl, which is my saxophone driven, original music project. Where are you from and what is the music scene like there? I'm from Bournemouth: a seaside town on the south coast of England. The scene is intimate but full of a wealth of creative talent & some of the best promoters I've worked with. I'm actually launching the album there at the venue I first ever performed in in 2009 - 10 years doesn't half fly...! What is the most difficult thing about creating the music you produce? Do you collab with anyone? I've always found capturing the live energy & atmosphere to be challenging in the studio. But I think the album does resonates well alongside the live show. Daniel Ferguson's work with Mutant Vinyl is integral, & his production creativity & mixing on the album is sublime. He just gets it / gets me & I think it shows, both onstage, & in the atmosphere on the record. There's also a heap of instrumentalists on there too, & a wonderful vocal performance from Amorie. I feel very lucky that people are willing to work on my MacBook daydreams.. What inspired the track “Jungle Lick In Soho”? The track lyrically transcribed a hazy, debauched night in Soho, London. Musically, I was living inside the new Goldie album when making this track, & wanted to create a really aggressive percussive feel in the beat & groove. The sax hook came from trying to keep up with the kick-drum pattern with a big low B.. What can we expect to see from you in the near future? My debut album comes out on April 26th via Klee Music on a limited 12" vinyl / download. Then I'm touring it for the rest of the year throughout Europe, starting with Belarus in May & Dublin in June.Oh! - there's also a few VERY special remixes en route, so if you're a dub or drum & bass head, look out for those! - Let Your Imagination Run Free With The Latest From Sean Slick
Hailing from London, UK, Sean Slick is the next upcoming hip-hop artist who is considered to be one of the best rappers from his city. Sean Slick dropped his single titled “Imagination” off his upcoming project and we listened to this fresh and primal record and thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. The vibe and aesthetic of “Imagination” is light-hearted, chilled, and laidback with a flow that’s grandiose and groundbreaking. Sean isn’t your average typical rapper you may be familiar or used to, he has his own unique flow and particular style to his rap vocals that intrigues you and embodies his own element of hip-hop. “Imagination” creates a serene image in your head while listening. For me, I was able to mentally paint vivid images of peaceful elements and atmospheric creations while listening to this stratospheric and sublime rap record. Imagination stays true to its song title by possessing a characteristic that’s catchy as well as creative alongside showing engrossing visuals by displaying the average lifestyle of a person in London. Sean Slick undeniably impressed us and we can’t wait to see what’s next from him! Listen to "Imagination" here and catch up with Sean Slick in our exclusive interview below! Tell us about growing up in London and how it affected your style? So I have lived in London for over 20 years south London to be exact. I call it the London State of Mind! London is very diverse and multicultural and has significantly changed over the years. Growing up in London i would say has two paths, the perception from the outside in, its the old royal city full of amazing landmarks and royalty, and the Londoner perspective which is trying to get your way, girls, waking up early, avoid peer pressure, depression, the government woes and not getting involved in any crime, being young black man with goals to succeed, I would say Hip Hop has been my tool to display the real London for young people and give Sean Slick views on the matter of Life. “Imagination” is a super dope track! What was the motivation behind writing this? Thank you. Imagination is that special track that was made pretty quickly. Imagination was a concept track where I flip stuff around and just have fun with it. I wanted to reach new crowds with a bouncy track where i can flow and show off my Slick Wordplay to the masses. My motivation is to get more success. I'm on my 3rd official project so i believe Imagination can pave the way for more eyes on my work. If you could change one thing about “imagination” what would you change and why? Okay this might sound cliche but not a thing at all, to me its near perfect when I first heard it and seeing the feedback from everyone its definitely one of my favourite tracks to listen to from my discography so far. Do you have any musical inspirations or influences that have helped shape your career in the music industry? If so who and why!? The usual is 2pac, Biggie, Nas, Big L, Eminem. I would say i take inspiration from these guys. Fondly enough i get compared to the late great Biggie and Nas for my style which i am incredibly flattered for. Not too many rappers here get that comparison as they are regarded as the greats. A new school artist who i have been fond for a while is Tinashe. I wrote a song about her on my first project “SlickMatic” in 2017, had the opportunity to meet her that year also and gave her a shout on my popular songs Joyride, so I believe she may be a fan now, who knows haha. What’s next for you through 2019? Well I'm gearing for my next release of Big Plans out August 2nd 2019. Imagination will be on it so yeah just preparing, seeing what Imagination can get to in terms of heights and yeah enjoying the ride. I believe i am one of the best rappers in the city currently, I love the support I get from fans around the world, and I will continue to do my thing. Sean Slick is on the come up! Slicko!
