- Miftah Bravenda’s “Fearless” Is A Multifaceted Ambient Masterpiece
There’s so much going on Miftah Bravenda’s new single “Fearless”; its complex sound profiles give this instrumental depth that is worth exploring. Miftah simultaneously delivers soft, pensive ambient notes, while at the same time the trickling of symbols is like water dripping onto a tin roof and the percussion beating along like a heart merge into one concatenation of sounds. In the background there is brass horn like instrument that is continuously building, yet even with this sense of rising- it sounds sorrowful; it’s beautiful. His music paints a scenic piece of art. Listening to “Fearless” will have you wondering what instrument Miftah is using to create that particular sound, and that is one of Miftah’s greatest strengths: his ability to turn familiar instrumentation into something of an entirely different nature. Miftah is a musician, producer and sound engineer from Serang-Banten, Indonesia who loves creating minimalists and ambient in nature music. His music has a cinematic and unrefined quality that creates a mood and sets the tone. Lose yourself in “Fearless” today, now streaming on all music platforms. Listen to "Fearless" here. - Release Radar: "Unleash" By Angie Flare
Angie Flare is a singer and songwriter with a strong message: size doesn’t matter. Young or old, rich or poor, everybody is capable of greatness even in the smallest of ways. This is why Angie writes her music. For you, with you and about you, so join her and discover the greatness within! The latest single “Unleash” by Angie Flare has our attention! The single begins solemnly with synths and acoustic guitars. The vocals enter in an equally reserved fashion, but quickly is bolstered by the rest of the instrumentation entering, with drums, bass and electric guitar supporting Flare’s vocals. The lyrics are passionate, and Flare’s message seems to be that of overcoming obstacles, though the song itself is quite melancholic. Despite this, one is left with a feeling of triumph rather than defeat after the song is over. The arrangement seems quite well thought out, with the electric guitar sometimes weaving in and out of the vocal line. The vocals themselves are well done and sung with incredible poise, accuracy and passion. At just over three minutes, a great deal of talent from this singer and songwriter is presented, and we highly recommend you give “Unleash” a listen today! Stream "Unleash" here. Would you mind starting off describing your background and how you got involved with music? I’m born (and still living) in a small town in the small country, the Netherlands (plus I’m only five foot three in height). With everything being small about my background, my dreams and ideas are nothing but great. Music is an important part in our family. My grandpa was a professional musician and my whole family loves to make and listen to music too. So it wasn’t a strange thing that, as a toddler, I was singing all day long (people on the street even made remarks about it!). Therefore, singing to me is even more natural than talking. At 7 I started singing solo at the local church and a few years later I started taking singing lessons. In those years I took every chance to take the stage and sing for an audience. I wanted to master every genre like pop, rock, musical theatre, soul and country. But a few years ago I discovered the joy of developing my own style and sound by writing my own songs. I found out I could use my creativity and tell my own story to the whole world. I’ve never felt fulfilled like this. Who would you describe as your biggest artistic influences? I’m influenced by a very broad range of styles like pop, rock, musical theatre, soul and country. I don’t listen to a specific genre because if an artist or song touches me, I like it and use it for my writing. I think my biggest role model is Lady Gaga, she also combines a lot of styles in her voice and music, she writes her own songs and she’s short just like me. She’s beautiful and great in her very own unique way. How do you write your music? Would you mind describing your process? It always starts with inspiration, a sentence or melody just pops into my head. Like someone whispers it in your ear. Then I work it out on the piano. The song gets shape in an organic way. I write something, I get stuck, I put it aside to give it some space and I continue later with new inspiration. Sometimes my friend Bas, who is a great guitarist and musician, writes the musical part with me and I write the lyrics. Sometimes I finished a song myself (music and lyrics) and we make a demo together. I love this process so much, creating something beautiful that never existed. You have a single called “Unleash”, did you have a particular message behind the music in this case? It’s a very personal story. My big dream was to attend a college school of music. But I got rejected for every school I applied for. It really broke my heart. But my love for music and singing never died, I kept going with trust that I will find my place too. Because I really believe I am born to sing. That’s what Unleash is about. It’s an anthem for everybody who fell and got up again, fell and got up again…and after every failure gets ready to fight even harder because you feel with your whole heart you have to do it. I hope with this song and my story I’m paving the way for many others. What can we hope to see from you in the future, Angie? I’m just getting started so I have a lot of plans. I want to perform as much as possible and to share my music with as many people as possible. My goal is to release an EP. I have the material, but first more people have to know about Angie Flare to share my EP with. So this article is another step closer :) My dream is that people all over the world enjoy my music. It’s already happening actually but in very very small amounts. I’m working really hard to make that grow. - The Relentless Julia Paymer Graces Us With Her New Single “No Right”
Let us introduce you to Julia Paymer, an indie pop/songwriter from Los Angeles who currently lives in Tennessee! With a strong hip-hop and folk influence, Paymer’s sound is like a mix of Ed Sheeran and Lennon Stella’s! Her debut EP was released this past summer and her new single “No Right” premiered just last month! We listened to the groundbreaking and incredibly relentless single “No Right” and we were focused on the hypnotizing vocals and nomadically emotional lyrics. Julia’s voice begins with a croon approach before her full texturized and solid vocal tone builds the atmosphere around the song. The beat played out just fine with moments of soft melodic keys to ensure the romantically melancholic vibe of “No Right” is crafted. Fusing together soaring harmonies and orchestrated dynamics, Julia Paymer takes a stab at the world with a fully articulated passion as an artist and developed authenticity as a human. This highly talented pop diva will be making big moves in the industry and we’re excited to see what’s yet to come. Listen to "No Right" here and catch up with Julia in our interview below! Hey Julia! Tell us a little bit about your debut EP and what we can expect from it? My debut EP entitled "Julia Paymer" is full of upbeat pop solo songs, as well as duets featuring Taylor Carroll and Lauren Tannenbaum, two amazing performers and songwriters that I've been lucky enough to meet along the way. This album, quite honestly, is a rollercoaster of emotions for one person in particular. It's the infatuation, the frustration, the adoration and also the shows the process of letting them go. My favorite part about it is it does it all in an fun, upbeat way, even though most of the song's subjects' are heartbreak. “No Right” is a beautiful song. What is it about in your own artist interpretation? Thank you! This song came about when an ex-boyfriend who I had loved for so long came back after years of not speaking to me. For so long I wanted him back and swore I would leap into his arms if he ever wanted me again. When he did, I was with a new guy, who I loved very much. It was much too late, and "No Right" is me telling him that he doesn't have the right to come back whenever he pleases and expect me to run right back into his arms. What inspired you to write “No Right” ? The feeling that inspired "No Right" was liberation. I felt, for the first time, that I had control over the guy that had control over me for so long. I felt amazing. Were there any challenges you’ve faced in channeling the emotion in “No Right” or were you able to naturally connect with the song? Surprisingly, I was able to connect with those strong feelings very quickly and very naturally. The song poured out of me in about 20 minutes. It's one of the easiest and most important songs I've ever written. What’s next for you through 2019 Julia? I'm working on writing tons of new music and it's all very different than my debut EP. It's more like "No Right;" more lo-fi, more hip-hop and more acoustic. I'm co-writing a ton, so be expecting more collaboration and duets (my favorite thing to do,) a lot of writing to beats with new producers, and just all together a more confident and experienced Julia. I'm looking to be cross-genre and conforming to one genre as I have been before. After moving to Nashville, I'm only more excited, more passionate and even more ready to put more music out into the world! Connect with Julia Paymer on social media: www.instagram.com/juliapaymer

Has growing up in Central Florida impact your style of music in any way shape or form? I believe I’ve been influenced by some of the music around here throughout my years here, but I’ve also been influenced by music from all different walks of life. I’ve traveled across the country from end to end and the music from there has also had influence on my style of creation. I take these influences and make something that I’ve never heard before. How has your skills in Piano serve as beneficial for your producing in electronic music? The piano planted the roots of music inside of me. Learning chords and melody allows me to add little touches in my music that I don’t think I could if I never learned about it. It also makes creating ideas way faster. Tell us a little bit about your record "Breathe" and what inspired you to write this? During this time I had a lot of people I truly care about start fading away. I was dealing with a lot of anxiety and depressive thoughts. Felt like I was choking. This all came to a head when I had my partner leave me. All of these things at once cause me to breakdown and the static sections of the song show my breaking mental state during that time. It was so difficult to gather up the motivation to finish this project. I spent 7 months on it releasing nothing and trying to finish my album “smoking”. It took so long is because I felt paralyzed creatively. I had to deal with my mental health before I could truly finish it. After I dealt with my inner demons It all started to come together. Ideas came back to me and this project came into its own. After I finished my section of the song, it felt unfinished, so I contacted Elle (the feature on the song) and wrote a second section of the song with the tone being that it’s okay to feel this way and that you can’t really escape or run from this anxiety and sadness. It will always catch up. You have to confront it up front Connect with Entra on social media: Instagram : www.instagram.com/kanna_hates_you
- Grab Your Nearest Stereo And Place "Emoji" On The Highest Volume
Hardly needing an introduction, but for the uninitiated, Alex Dutty is a London-based rapper who chooses to shy away from the stereotypical guns, drugs, money content. The rapper delivers brutally candid and relatable accounts of his deprived childhood. The artist touts himself as a mouthpiece for people that grew up in broken homes who battle financial issues, self-doubt, and hardships on a daily basis- issues which are rife on his forthcoming debut album ‘Knock Down Ginger’. Alex Dutty recently released his single titled “Emoji” which was self-produced and self-written by Alex Dutty himself. Alex brings a unique style to the song with a flare of afro-beat and reggae to compliment his London-styled delivery, he has created the most transcending dance-hall hit! The featuring vocals from Jamaican originated artist Black Rose and Trinidad born artist Triniboi Joocie carry the Caribbean vibes until the end. Catchy vocals with a multicultural influenced sound. This diverse hit is an introspection of Alex writing style flawlessly executed and cleverly-written. Although a rapper, Alex Dutty could project a polished voice that showcased his ability to sing. The most beautiful concept of “Emoji” in my opinion was how it showcased the capability of Alex becoming a cross-genre icon! He transitioned into the entire vibe of dance-hall in such an indulging and radical way. The rhythmic single captures your attention and keeps you hooked throughout the duration of the entire movement of the music! Grab your nearest stereo and place this on high volume and you won’t regret it! Listen to "Emoji" here and catch up with Alex below! Is this your first time doing dance-hall? What were some challenges you faced? This is actually the first time I have went with this kinda vibe but you would probably think I did more of this from my name. I don’t really think we had many challenges making the song it was pretty organic it just kinda all fell into place without too much thought I don’t think I was setting out to do any kind of genre when we were making it, was just trying to make dope music. However we did face a lot of problems after the song was completed, mix down issues, visuals getting deleted and a bunch of other suspicious random things so their was a huge delay in release, we recorded this a year before Ramz came out with the song Barking, then a wave of those kinda vibes came out, now years later my song finally comes out and the only criticism os people feel like they’ve heard it before or I’ve tried to copy a vibe, but fact is that vibe wasn’t even popular when we recorded, it but that’s the game I guess, timing is everything, something I’m definitely working on moving forward. A lot of it is having good people in your team who can deliver, I just didn’t have that when I recorded Emoji, I mean I have that now but it just took a while to get there initially, causing delays from recording to release. Tell us a little bit about the meaning of “Emoji” and what inspired you to write this? I think me and OB were inspired by that Drake album More Life and so we wanted to blend this with our vibe, I came with the drums forest then just started laying synths over and free-styling melody’s until I found something that fitted I had just been through a messy breakup so there was a lot I could draw inspiration from at the time. Did everyone who collaborated on this record all have the same artistic vision? I mean to be honest the structure of the song was pretty much done by the time any of the artists had jumped on it but they certainly kept the vibe alive and consistent, originally after me and OB The Author had recorder the original I thought MC Bushkin and Trinieboi Joocie would be a good fit for a remix to help get some traction behind the song, but due to unforeseen circumstances I could only get Trinieboi, leaving an extra verse for someone else, I was producing some stuff with Black Rose at the time and thought to give her a go on the song. She most certainly came with the hunger and I think that paid off as she really killed her verse, don’t get me wrong everyone was dope as fuck but she did something that gave the song a new life and I was really impressed. She was in the original Video too but again due to me flying out to do a reshoot it just wasn’t logistical. Who are some old school artists you would collaborate with if you had the chance too? I always thought Ludacris was dope I dunno if a song with me and him would sound right though lol, DMX maybe but I dunno if he’s really DMX anymore so that might not sound too great either I dunno Slick Rick yeah Slick Rick that dude was cold and he from London too. Any exciting upcoming performances we should know about? Hopefully you should see me on some lineups this festival season so keep your eyes out for Alex Dutty this year. What's next for you through 2019? More recording more working with people, more shows, I got a couple of big tunes with some big features but can’t even leak any info on that right now but follow me Spotify and you’ll be the first to hear anything I drop. - LA Based Band Andy Leon & The GMP Releases A Charming New Single "The Morning After"
Andy Leon & The GMP is a band based out of Los Angeles, California. They have a variety of influences ranging from indie, jazz, rock and folk music. Andy Leon & The GMP write their material with a multitude of styles and genres with the primary goal of pulling on your heart-strings and getting your butt moving with its sounds. Their most recent EP is called “The Great Mouse Parade” and can be found on all streaming services. Andy Leon & The GMP recently dropped a new single called “The Morning After”. The sweet sounds of this band are obvious from the beginning and their jazz and folk influences shine through clearly. The song is easy-listening and every instrument is pleasing to the ear. The vocals are sincere and tuneful, and the arrangement of the song builds ever so gradually. This building quality is incredibly gratifying near the end when the song builds to its climax, with all the instruments dropping out and the vocals ushering in the final chorus, complete with sultry sounding strings. This is a band to look out for, and we highly recommend their latest offering called “The Morning After”. Listen to "The Morning After" here and get to know more about the band below! Hey, thanks for catching up! Would you start us off by explaining who you all are and how the band got together? We met in college in Boston and throughout the four years each had our own music projects—some of the band members had solo acts, some were in bands, some had both. We knew each other as friends first. When we moved to LA, Michael and I started writing music and performing together and one night after a gig we flirted with the idea of starting a band and it just grew from there. You have a wide variety of influences, but who would you say are your collective biggest inspirations? I think individually we all have very distinct inspirations but we’ve been lucky in being able to combine our backgrounds in differing genres into one. I’d say collectively our sound is inspired by Lake Street Dive and Norah Jones- the way that they capture a feeling and put it to words and music is something we strive for in our own songs. What does your writing process look like? How do the songs all come together? Typically Michael or I will bring a song into the practice space and then we’ll build the music around it, trying new things, seeing what does and doesn’t work. Marc and Dom will usually work together to find the rhythm that drives the song and Jono will try out different sax parts to find where and what fits. When we write together it starts with a single line or melody and we go from there, treating it like writing a story (where do we want this to go, how do we want this to end, what are we trying to say, how will this make you move?). When writing alone I think I personally go from a feeling into a song and then when the band takes it on I try and convey the feeling to them in order to get the sound to match that. You have a new single called “The Morning After”. Did you have a message in mind when you were putting the music together? The morning after is sort of a reflection on the rebound— waking up to/being with somebody and feeling a very distinct disconnect. It’s trying and failing to pinpoint the root of that and answer all of the questions that come with attempting to move on from someone. The song is a very stream of consciousness processing of the repetitive and cyclical nature of heartbreak. The music has a slow build to it that mirrors the way that thoughts build up when they aren’t spoken until they reach a breaking point. What can we hope to see in the future from Andy Leon & The GMP? More music! Always more music. We’re playing shows around Los Angeles now and are in the works of writing more, recording more, releasing more. There may be a couple videos on the way as well so definitely keep your eyes peeled! Thank you for listening :) www.andyleonmusic.com/gr8mice www.instagram.com/gr8mice #BuzzMusic

- Get Instantly Hooked to OMY's “H.M.U”
OMY is a 21-year old is a culturally diverse singer, songwriter, producer and marketing student at UBC. His music style? A combination of Hip-Hop, Pop, and RnB, to create a fused together unique sound formed by many foreign elements. He’s a self-taught producer who indulged himself into learning everything he needed to know about production which served as beneficial for him. After many unfortunate series of emotional trauma, music became his therapist, and the mic became the channel in which he conveys his message. Eventually he has managed to stand out to his university within the short 3-month time span of his beginning career, scoring him a performance alongside famous DJ’s including Slander and Felix Cartal. With a strong passion, and the most loyal fans, his vision is to create a name for himself and share his experiences with the world. OMY recently released his single titled “H.M.U” and you instantly become a fan of the song with the soft, quiet and melancholic introduction that lasts just a few seconds before the banging trap instrumental comes in and gets your head bobbing alongside the beat. The hook has melodies that seeps into your brain and addicts you to the record like nicotine does to a cigar lover! Both verses contained quick-witted and catchy lyrics that helped emphasized on the vibe OMY created. “H.M.U” is the perfect song we can listen to while cruising around in our whips. I mean just imagine riding around at night or even during a good day and hearing the canorous tune in the hook go “If you’re driving around town, hit me up” forming a unison with the beat , the aesthetic, and your mood! It’s a perfect digestible hit that could translate well across many lovers of the trap R&B style. Listen to “H.M.U” here and get to know OMY in our interview below! What are some challenging aspects in producing music? Finding time is the most difficult for me, and that makes it even harder to be consistent. As a full-time student, music became another full-time job and doubled the due dates I have. The learning curve is pretty big, but with a passion and curiosity, learning becomes entertaining. At the end of the day, if u want something, you'll make time for it somehow. I choose to compromise sleep for example Do you have a personal preference between production and recording the song? If so which and why? I would say probably recording the song. Both are hella fun, but also both can be super challenging. I find production more relaxing and love the concept of creating sound out of thin air, literally. Recording is very special because it's a tedious process (both mentally and physically), but it's the most satisfying feeling to see just what your mind can come up with on the fly. I record songs in a single sitting most of the time, and the motivation is believing it'll sound great a few hours later Tell us about your single “H.M.U” ! What's the meaning behind it!? H.M.U. is the first song that brought Mani and me together in terms of music. We always use the phrase "Hit me up" every day and so does everyone else pretty much, so it's a catchy phrase that popped in our heads. Mani's rap and my singing style worked very well together and that was exciting, so the lyrics recognize our solid beginning and a belief in our success. The pre-chorus and second verse are much more sentimental with deep experiences about a past relationship and a vision to overcome any hardship we both face How would you describe your producing style and does it differ vocally? As a person who grew up listening to literally every genre, the beats I've produced so far are very different. I have very melodic relaxing music, some trap, new sounds you hear in hiphop, and many other styles. I think it's the same for my vocal styles. I try as much as possible to branch out and not limit myself to one specific genre or style What’s next for you through 2019? 2019 was the year I first released anything on spotify or Apple Music, and when I also got my first gig. I plan to work on many more projects and release an album over the summer without the stress of school and countless due dates. From there I know I'll be able to get a few more gigs and make somewhat of an impression around me. I believe it'll go forward from there for the rest of 2019 Connect with OMY on social media: Soundcloud - www.soundcloud.com/omy_musix Instagram - www.instagram.com/omy_musix/ #BuzzMusic

- Gregory Luster Gives Us An Insight On Who He Is With His New Single “I'm From”
Fearless, determined and humble are just three of the many adjectives we can use to describe Gregory Luster, a thirty two year old multi-faceted rapper, songwriter and producer who was born in Charlotte, NC but spent half his life living in Kannapolis. Gregory Luster started as a gospel singer and later became a member of a group called Amoure. However after years of member changes and eventually different visions and artistic ideas, Gregory parted ways from the group. Gregory Luster recently released his masterful single titled “I'm From” and we were impressed by the riveted vocals and inventive progression throughout the song. “You See, I come from a place, where people like me, they don’t make it. You either dead, or in jail, there’s no in between.” The introduction of the record immediately starts off with thought-provoking lyrics before Gregory Luster continues to use his personal life experiences into a cultivating flow. The soaring single promotes more a positive feeling with a “cocky” attitude yet delivered in a more light-hearted and joyful expansion. It’s the perfect song to listen too when you feel as if you accomplished something you were told you wouldn’t accomplish. Gregory is an inspirational artist who radiates motivation through his artistry and music and we were thoroughly impressed with this track. Bravo Gregory! Listen to "I'm From" here and get to know Gregory Luster in our interview below! Tell us a little bit about the single “I’m From” and what inspired you to write this? The beat itself was produced by my best friend Sean Streater (S.E.A.N.). He made the beat a while back and actually sat on the beat. He thought it was straight, but didn't really see the full potential. One day he emailed me some beats and this particular beat was one of those. He told me do what you want with any of them. I INSTANTLY connected with this beat and literally wrote this song in a day. Thinking about all of the things I've been through in my past definitely played a part in the song writing process. Coming from a gospel background, would you consider yourself solely a gospel artist? Or do you like to expand your style of music to more of a variety of genres? Honestly, I love what Lecrae says. "I am a Hip Hop artist who just happens to be a Christian." I love God AND different styles of music. I don't like to put myself into a box and say I can only create this type of music. I love challenges. So, if I'm vibing with a beat or instrumental you never know WHAT direction I'll go with it. In your opinion, how do you write the perfect song? Well, I don't think any song can be perfect. There's always going to be SOMETHING that you or someone else thinks that could've been changed. However, you can create GREAT songs. It's all about the connection the artist has with the music he is given. Good production, good song writing techniques, and good engineering is the recipe for great songs. After parting ways from the group, do you feel as if you have more artistic freedom? If so in what ways!? Well, I wouldn't say more artistic freedom because I had that then. Plus, being in a group didn't have anything to do with it because I'm currently with N.E.M.G. I believe everyone had a different vision for their lives and the group. Plus, everyone was living their life and we were going our separate ways. If anything, it allowed me to get closer to God. What’s next for you through 2019? I'm currently recording songs for my upcoming EP entitled "Manifestation". No release date yet. We will be shooting videos for some songs too. We also are working on a collaborative N.E.M.G. project and solo projects for the rest of the group. So stay tuned! Connect with Gregory Luster on social media: Instagram Twitter Facebook #BuzzMusic
