The Orlando rock outfit up the ante with their powerful new release. In the heart of Orlando, FL, rock band Kings County has been on a relentless journey over the past year, pouring their hearts and souls into creating new music. Serving as the follow-up to their critically acclaimed single “Equilibrium,” “Holding On” is a testament to King County’s refusal to rest on their laurels and commitment to pushing their musical boundaries as much as possible. High energy and possessing a dogged obsession with their craft incomparable to any other, Kings County is comprised of Rob Dexter on vocals on bass, Steve Bell on guitars and vocals, Joe Lopez on drums, and Bill Kania on guitars and vocals. Part of what makes Kings County unique is their ability to switch seamlessly and alternate vocal and other musical duties, tag-teaming their wicked beats like seasoned pros. The band is eager performers, too, never shying away from the stage and always down to shred some live performances. “Holding On,” Kings County’s latest offering, is a riveting performance of the quality we expect from them. Underlined by a feeling inspired by their signature energy and power, the instrumentals feature intense guitar riffs that are expertly balanced by other melodic qualities. Dropping lines like “Surround yourself yea, with every single dirty lie / You never wanna compromise” and “It’s just another day, bled out in full display,” it's the kind of performance that leaves you with chills. “Holding On” is a powerful new release best described as a sonic force. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Kings County’s “Holding On,” available now on all major streaming platforms. Welcome back to BuzzMusic, Kings County! Wow, what a powerful song “Holding On” was, so intense! Can you take us through the creative process you guys went through with this song? Thanks for inviting Kings County back to Buzz Music. We are super excited about our newest release, "Holding On." It was the song we needed to write. After months of performing live in 2022, we knew we had to return to creating music. You are as good as your last song, and "Holding On" came together fairly quickly. Guitarist Steve Bell and I had the song's basic framework together, and in November 2022, we headed to Detroit to meet up with our producer Chuck Alkazian at Pearl Sound Studios. Within 2 days, we had the structure arranged and most guitars recorded. The vocal melody was pretty much solidified, but Chuck needed to take the vocals to a new level. The last thing I remember Chuck saying was he would "kick my ass" vocally, and that's exactly what he did. When the smoke cleared, I was blown away; it was all worth the pain and sweat I endured in recording these vocals. So, there’s also an accompanying music video for “Holding On”! What was your favorite part about seeing the video's vision coming to life, and what inspired the direction for the music video itself? Nowadays, people listen with their eyes, and we knew we had to create an amazing visual experience to accompany the song. We needed to make a video that would blow the viewer away, and that's why we recruited director Jon Vulpine of Glass Dagger Films to work on "Holding On" Jon's resume is pretty high profile, working with many of the top national hard rock acts out there (Three Days Grace, Seether, Skillet). Jon heard the song and had an amazing storyboard in a few days. We shot the video in an old abandoned bank in Jacksonville, FL. The 1902 structure had some awesome architecture that enhanced the look of the video. It was a struggle filming there. Besides having no power and a rare cold day in FL, the building had gaping holes in the floor that was easily a safety hazard, but we managed to finish unharmed. We were looking for a video that had a dark feel to it, and the building and how Jon filmed and lit the scenes blew us away. You never know how the final product will look until it's all put together and edited, but it passed our expectations. What do you want to achieve with your music? Writing music is a personal extension of your thoughts and beliefs. We try to write music, and subject matters that any listener can personally relate to. When you make that connection, there's a greater chance your music will last longer in the viewer's mind. Nothing is more satisfying than when someone says your music helped them through tough times. How would you describe your music to any new listeners? Music genres have changed and expanded drastically over the years. One person might call our music metal, while another describes it as a rock. We are more like hard rock with guitar-driven, melodic overtones. What’s next for Kings County? Do you have more new music coming soon? The band's goal is to keep creating quality music and build a solid following worldwide. We also recorded another song at the same time we recorded, "Holding On," called "So Cold." The song is finished, and we just filmed the video for it again with director Jon Vulpine in Miami, FL. Don't want to give away too much, but the video will be way different from "Holding On" We're hoping these 2 songs will be the one / two punch we need to break the band in the music industry. Only time will tell. Instagram Facebook
- Damien Musto Touches Your Heart With The Powerfully Emotion-Evoking “Cry For Help”
The New Jersey-based musician utilizes transparent lyricism to bring you this tune that speaks to your soul. In a world that has seen more than its fair share of talent but not necessarily diligence, Damien Musto emerged as a singer-songwriter who embodies both. Striving to embody the ethos of the “Work hard, play hard” rock n’ roll mentality, his dedication to his craft has earned him a dedicated fan base, captivating thousands with his honest lyricism and dedication to rock n’ roll. Currently touring with rock band OURS, Musto has been hard at work rocking the stage and captivating audiences, and the future looks incredibly bright as he blazes his trail in the rock n’ roll music scene. One of the highlights of Musto's early career was performing as the guitarist for Small A.m., a band signed to the NJ record label Childlike Records and Hey Tiger. As he rocked out venues nightly, he diligently honed his craft. He perfected his live performances, capping off his run with a magical performance opening for Bon Jovi at Metlife Stadium. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Musto has been busier than ever since restrictions eased. He secured a coveted slot as the opening act for the respected rock band OURS on two of their U.S. tours, and he’s also been earnestly working on his debut solo EP, with Jimmy Gnecco from OURS taking on the producer role. “Cry For Help” emerged during intense heartbreak when Musto felt emotionally empty and alone, searching for answers. The chorus chords and the lyric “completely invisible” came to him spontaneously, and he knew he had something special. Over sombre instrumentals led by a melancholic yet captivating guitar, lyrics like “Completely invisible, tears in my eyes / cry for help” and “Make it go away, pain in my heart / cry for help” feel like they grip your soul, making for a breathtaking performance. Musto's latest single, “Cry For Help,” is his heartfelt and visceral release. Whenever you’re ready, bust the tissues out and stream Damien Musto’s new single, “Cry For Help,” available now on all major streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Damien Musto! “Cry For Help” is a touching and beautifully crafted piece of music! You mentioned that the song came to you during a heartbreak. Was the writing process a healing experience for you? I tend to be a bit introverted, so writing music is a great way to express myself. It feels safe to me because it’s in a song. The song is about heartbreak but also about feeling invisible while going through a difficult situation, which I realize is on me because I am introverted. That being said, I feel others can get something from “Cry For Help,” knowing they are not alone and we all feel invisible sometimes, but it will be ok. As an artist, when do you find yourself most "in the zone" creatively? Good question; typically, while at a mall or riding a bike, I zone out. The next thing I know, I devise an idea without trying to and record it on my phone. Also, I’m at my studio every day, so I'm able to work anytime I want on different ideas. The best ideas usually come up when I pick a guitar and play without thinking about anything. Do you have a particular favorite music-related memory over the last five years? The last 5 years have been great; I’ve worked with many great people on multiple projects, which have all been positive and rewarding. Being able to work on my material, though, has been extremely rewarding as I always wanted to do it but never did until I finally permitted myself and just let go. How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard it before? I have 2 songs out now, one of them called “Open Up Your Heart,” which is guitar driven and anthemic. “Cry For Help” is extremely intimate, vulnerable, and sparse, almost 2 different worlds. I also have an acoustic version of “Open Up Your Heart” coming out in a few weeks, which is a bit stripped down but with beautiful strings while maintaining that anthemic feel. Additionally, what do you want to achieve with your music? Since I permitted myself to work on my material, the floodgates have opened; I want it all! Touring, licensing, just getting my music out there, being able to connect with people and hopefully help them feel something and get something positive out of it. Your tour with OURS must be a blast! What's it been like opening for them? It’s been great, it’s my second tour opening for them and each time it gets better. They are a great band and a great group of musicians that I’m honored to be able to call my friends. We all have a blast, travel together, and watch out for one another. It’s been great. What’s next? Can we expect to hear more new music soon, and is there anything you’d like to say to your fans? Yes, I have the acoustic version of my “Open Up Your Heart” single coming out on June 16th. I’ve also been tracking a bunch more but had to take a break while on tour. I look forward to returning to the studio after this tour and expect to hear new music soon. Thanks for taking the time to interview me. I would ask anyone reading this to follow me on Spotify, and Apple Music, follow my IG page, and thanks for listening!! Instagram Artist Website

- Rory Mcbride Will Whisk You Away With His “Sonic Lullaby”
Rory McBride, the 29-year-old American singer and poet, weaves together soft psychedelic folk-rock infused with blues and an aura of spirituality. Raised in rural Illinois, he describes his artistic pursuits as “a window to the world”, leading him into a multidisciplinary career in visual arts across New York, Paris, and Tokyo. The day he wrote his first song marked a transformative turning point in his life, where the guitar became a portal to a new identity and style. During the pandemic, he immersed himself in nature which laid the foundation for his debut LP, which he developed through exploration of poetry and contemplation of literature. With simplistic yet hypnotic melodies akin to Jim Morrison and John Lennon, McBride brings forth a return to simple and romantic thinking. Collaborating with Maine engineer/producer Ryan Ordway, they crafted the ethereal track "Sonic Lullaby" as part of the Sonic Lullaby EP. "Sonic Lullaby" invites listeners on a nostalgic journey to a bygone era. Opening with a hopeful, light guitar melody, the song immediately transports you to a place of tranquillity and wonder, all the while embodying elements of romance and spirituality. The simplicity of the melody allows McBridge’s captivating vocals to shine through as he sings, "you can take my voice, send it out over valleys, prairies, sonic waves, caves, wherever my voice happens to resound." This poetic expression evokes a sense of desire to transcend the confines of the physical world. The timeless quality of "Sonic Lullaby" adds to its allure; it’s as if McBridge has tapped into a time capsule, bringing forth qualities of the past and present. Exuding an aura akin to the divine, listeners will be left with a profound sense of peace and introspection, as well as anticipation for Rory McBride's next artistic project. What inspired the concept behind your enchanting song, “Sonic Lullaby”? I wrote Sonic Lullaby as the first true song from my catalogue, following a nine-minute experimental track I released in 2021. Sonic Lullaby, which is the title track for the EP is a kind of ultralight folk ballad. It negotiates a quick moving 2 chord fingerpicking progression against a vocal with a slow rhythmic sway. I wanted to lead with something ethereal and somewhat naked, which framed the approach to tracking and production. The lyrical narrative of the song encapsulates my short time writing music and ends with an image of a “waveless bay. Can you walk us through your songwriting process? How do you compose a song from beginning to end? I start by finding the chords on my guitar that present a mood, theme or style for a song I’ve never heard before. The rest echoes my poetry creation process. I often start to sleep less, eat less, forget time and get lost in the sonics like I’m in a big primordial bath. The lyrics I sing form bridges between the chords like islands out in some undiscovered cosmic ocean. Though I haven’t yet spent a significant portion of my life writing music, I know that what I sing flows from everything I’ve seen and studied. I find it impossible to unwrite a song. What have you learned about yourself since beginning your journey into music? The learnings have come from witnessing my own expression migrate from the visual to the sonic. Almost three years into writing music, I feel like I’m still processing the sheer fact that I write songs. When I started songwriting it radically shifted my world and recast nearly every department of my lifestyle. The way I eat, exercise, dream, dress and speak are simply not the same. Where and how I like to spend time, even the people I love to keep close to me have changed, and this is a metamorphosis. I’ve gotten closer to the real style of a person I want to be, closer to the natural truth of myself. What do you hope listeners take away from your music? I’d like them to feel that they can have a host of sonic souvenirs from my world that breathe new and unforeseen life into the art of song. I aspire to make music people can jump on top of, put on repeat, and venture to new places– aesthetically, poetically, and philosophically. This speaks to the vehicular quality of songs at large. The greatest music can do what the best films do for us, the rare sensation that anything can happen. If your music were a season, which one would it be? An eternal spring. Instagram
- Jae Alexander Provides A Versatile View Into Life During The Pandemic
American R&B singer, songwriter, and entertainer Jae Alexander is a native of Waldorf, MD, a former Air Force active duty veteran, and a current emerging superstar. The 27-year-old creative is fortifying his music catalog as he continues to curate and create a variety of projects and singles in order to reach and expand his fan base extensively. Through the trials and tribulations that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused rising artists everywhere, Jae Alexander took this chance to focus on his personal life separated from the music. Finding out that he would be a father in March 2020, Jae Alexander’s perspective shifted as he accumulated a newfound set of responsibilities that came with his relationships and family. Persistently creating from an illuminated place of observation, Jae Alexander procured the talents of industry-recognized MK Beatz to help him execute the buoyant production of his highly anticipated four-track EP, “Soon Come.” Dabbling into the emotions circling the world amidst the pandemic, Jae Alexander effortlessly runs the basis of how the world feels through these times. Exuding a therapeutic charm that drowns listeners in a funk-driven atmosphere, the opening single and title track, “Soon Come,” is a powerful display of the poignant timbres that Jae Alexander exudes in a charismatic way. Flaunting an extensive vocal range that chimes in with undeniable harmonies, you gracefully fall into the message he portrays on his melodic canvas. Discussing themes of how quickly things will return to the way they once were pre-pandemic, you feel a surge of enriching intentions lift you to the highest peak of Jae Alexander’s infectious optimism with each word expressed. We love how Jae Alexander switches the tempo but keeps the liveliness bouncing in the second song on “Soon Come” titled ‘Sunday Tingz (Brunch).’ When we heard there was a song reflecting on the brunch scene that the DMV adores to great extents, we had to pick our jaw up and off the floor for this one. Immediately articulating a Reggae meets R&B vibe in the dynamism exuded on this track, we’re getting major Sean Kingston vibes provided in the enticing instrumentation. The blissful utopia structured through the mesmerizing hues expressed in this track is undeniable. Jae Alexander is buttery with his cadences as he spreads them throughout this simmering ambiance. It’s hard not to swing your hips to the beat as the way it pulses is purely in your favor. There’s something about the witty and amicable way that Jae Alexander provides a lens to the pandemic subject matter without making it over-saturated. He adds his appeal to the songs that transition them into a timeless masterpiece you could see yourself listening to at any time. “What It Do” has this remaining especially true as he delves into getting out of the house to have fun while you live your life. The lyrical motif of “you’ve been stuck inside the house for so long that you don’t know what to do” hones in on the authenticity emaciated as his sultry vocalization sends us spiraling out of control. As we reach the final song and fully grasp the quintessence of Jae Alexander’s artistry, he hits us with the rhythmic spirit of “12-24.” This striking ballad contains the signature trademarks of a classic R&B melody that places the focus on the birth of his son. Opening up to the personal side of himself that drives his every move in life, we hear the vulnerability in this seamless blend of authenticity and talent. Lyrically placing us in a state of mind where we’re intrigued by every word coming to light, Jae Alexander proves that “Soon Come” encompasses a piece of his journey for everyone to hear. The entire body of work that is “Soon Come,” has us fascinated with your versatility! How long did it take you to create the full essence of this EP? Were there any songs that didn’t make the cut, or did you have the intention of placing each one on this project? This project actually began as another project idea in early 2020. Of course with everything that was going on, there wasn’t enough safe space to finish the same so by the time I got back in the studio with MK we had come up with another idea for it, which became Soon Come. So there weren’t any songs that didn’t make the cut, the idea was for a spring/summer-ready EP that could make up the lost time of unreleased music. Soon Come was actually the last track recorded and its musical feeling just felt right. I love a good groove. The remarkable production elements of “Soon Come” were handled by yourself and MK Beatz. What was it like working with one another and how did this collaboration come to be? Working with MK is just amazing man, he is first one of my best friends before the music so it's simple collaborating in such a safe space. We understand each other and we understand each other musically; after that, the music takes care of the rest. What happens to be the fan-favorite from this body of work? Does it coincide with the song that you deem as your personal pick? I believe the fan favorite will be “Sunday Tingz” but truly only time will tell. Folks love the musicianship of Soon Come but it may not strike everyone as the favorite. My favorite is the whole project. I get a different vibe from each one in its own right. I could never just pick one. What are you hoping that listeners take away from the transition from playfulness to vulnerable on “Soon Come?" I hope they can take belief in themselves from the record, persistence from the record, hope as well. We all need each and every one of those. I think Soon Come brings that to the table as well as a mean retro groove spun with some MK flavor. What's next from you Jae? Hard to say right now, definitely a video for one of the tracks, I won't say which yet, but more music, more push, hopefully, more shows soon as everything opens back up safely. Most importantly I think the best Jae is coming next and I am really excited for everyone who has been supporting me from day one to see the growth and enjoy the journey. Instagram
- Rx Delivers The Sensuality With “Lucky Boy”
Who is this Canadian artist that’s killing it currently? The one with the scorching skills on the acoustic guitar gifted from her father? This artist we’re referring to is this singer and songwriter, Rx got her footing by just creating poetry. Improvisation within her creative high school classes such as music and drama was her forte and pushed her to create and write her own music. She became intertwined with the acoustic guitar gifted from her grandfather at the age 15. Ever since then, she became completely familiarized with the instrument, composing her first song, and reinventing her poems, transforming them into songs, and her creative journey been surer ever since! Rx impressed us to the fullest capacity with “Lucky Boy”. In just one sitting, you’re inhaling a complete breath of fresh air, overwhelming your body and fabricating the perfect vibe to become attached too. Her rhythms lure you in, but it’s the contagious melody that carries you away. It’s like “welcome to paradise, and we hope you enjoy your stay”. Maintaining a capturing appeal to the music, “Lucky Boy” produces musical endorphins that places you into a state of relaxation and pleasure. The producer Yuri Koller is who we can credit for this sensual driven track. He created a nostalgic mood that was reflective of his personal childhood. “Lucky Boy” became a seductive hit, soaked in the eighties vibes with female dominance ruling over. Her textured voice adds power to the dynamics of the production, creating a nicely well-arranged record. Welcome to BuzzMusic Rx! Can you tell our readers a little about you and your career in music? Thanks for having me! Well I started off writing poetry as a kid. I didn’t know I wanted to pursue music at all. One day I decided to turn one of my poems into a song because my baby sister was just born and I wanted to make one for her. No one in my family was a musician so I didn’t have too much guidance as I was trying to find my voice. I made friends who were musicians in high school that helped me a lot. I’ve probably written hundreds of songs by now and last year I was like, “I need to finally release something,” so I did. Now I have a whole bunch of new music ready for release & the most exciting part is that I’m not confined to one genre. From your artist perspective, how would you describe your music? I tend to create music based on the music that I listen to on the road. I love top 40 Pop/R&B now but I grew up on rock/alternative music. The sound is my first EP was very radio friendly, happy, and upbeat. The music I’m creating now is more sweet, vibey, and soulful I guess. I’m expressing who I am on a deeper and more mature level. I do have a couple of collab’s with Mind Massage that we’re anxious to release. They touch base with the feel of my first EP. Knowing you’re poetically inclined, in what ways do you essentially include poetry in songwriting? Do you believe the two co-exist well with one another or even intertwine as part of the writing process? They definitely intertwine. I consider a song to be a technical version of a poem. Sometimes I’ll start writing a train-of-thought styled poem and it won’t make sense until I reorganize my thoughts by giving it a rhythm and melody. My next release was actually written like that. I didn’t have a melody at all until I started playing around on the keys and created a chord structure that I felt fit the words. We loved “Lucky Boy” ! what was one of the many challenges you found yourself facing in the making of this record? What a funny question. My producer and I have such strong opinions when it comes to music so it was a bit of a tug of war between us when we were making it. I wanted it to sound a certain way and so did he. Finally I was like, “okay do your thing,” and that was the best decision because I love how it evolved and became my favourite track I’ve released so far. Thank you for sharing your music with us Rx! How do you plan on elevating your next release from “Lucky Boy”? what can the fans anticipate from Rx? Well I do have a visual goodie to release before my next song comes out. I watched it and I couldn’t even believe it was me. My next single release is a little bit more upbeat. I plan to release music every couple months this year. I have so much music in the vault... so why not? Instagram

Andrea Clute, a vibey R&B-pop artist from Vancouver, has been on a rollercoaster ride of transformation from her TikTok origins to becoming an emerging voice in music. The singer has now teamed up with the prestigious Canadian music label 604 Records, as she eagerly anticipates her journey into the music industry. The six-song collection serves as a diary, chronicling a journey from elation to heartbreak, and all the feelings in between. Writing this EP has been a cathartic process for Andrea to acknowledge and express the emotions she had been stifling. "Unsaid" manifests everything Andrea wished to voice but couldn't articulate before. One standout from "Unsaid" is the beautifully serene "Got You." This song captures the tranquillity of a calm ocean, radiating a warmth reminiscent of a nostalgic summer day. Simplicity is the charm of this piece, as it avoids unnecessary complexities. Andrea's vocals on "Got You" are nothing short of therapeutic. Like an angel's, her voice floats above an ethereal guitar melody that lingers subtly in the background. The lyrics for "Got You" are truly heartfelt and dive deep, creating a narrative of longing and love that many listeners will find familiar. The hook, "Don't you know that I got you / I don't want new / It's always been you," is a tender confession of loyalty and unwavering affection. And if "Got You" indicates the future, it's safe to say she has a bright path. Get cozy with this one today, available on all platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Andrea Clute, and congratulations on your latest EP, "Unsaid." The title of your debut EP "Unsaid," implies that there are emotions and messages you've struggled to express before. Can you share an instance where music provided an outlet for these 'unsaid' feelings, and how did that experience inspire your creation of the EP? I’m a very private person when it comes to dealing with problems and emotions. I like to keep my thoughts and feelings to myself and avoid confrontation. Which I’m sure isn’t healthy, haha. However, being at the studio is where I feel comfortable expressing anything I've been holding back. Music has always been an outlet for me to be my most honest and authentic self, so creating this EP was therapeutic and led me to open up in ways I hadn’t expected. I also believe I was able to create “Unsaid” because of the people around me. My producers created a safe space for me where I never felt judged; ultimately, I think that's how the songs came to be. "Unsaid" captures many human emotions, from elation to heartbreak. Which song on the EP best encapsulates the overarching theme of 'unsaid' sentiments, and why? I think “But You’re Happy” is my most intimate song and, to me, ties into the theme of unsaid. This song, to me, feels like a diary entry. It contains emotions I didn't even know I had until I wrote it. But the thought of this person being happy without me didn’t sit right with me. Like how is that easy for you, I “wish you would tell me that you miss me.” It was hard for me to admit those feelings to myself, let alone say them out loud. One could argue that the title "Unsaid" also speaks to our society's unheard voices and stories. How does your music, specifically this EP, amplify the 'unsaid' narratives in our community or the music industry? Unsaid captures themes I haven't opened up to people about, and I've tried to contextualize them in my music. I think sharing these hard things through art is a beautiful way to allow others into my world to see what I'm going through and hopefully find comfort if they're going through similar situations. In "Got You," a standout track from "Unsaid," there's a deep sense of longing and love. Can you discuss how this theme of enduring love contributes to the larger narrative you aimed to express in the EP "Unsaid?" It’s never easy telling someone how you feel, negative or positive, at least for me. Depends on your love language, I guess. But I think something difficult to say aloud is admitting when you’re in the wrong, and you made a mistake. For almost all my emotions, I try to run away from them, but this song helped me say that no matter what, you’re the one I want, and I want to make things work with you. It’s hard for me to write love songs that aren’t sad. I'm not good at being romantic. I like to play things off and act like I don't care, so this song was vulnerable for me differently than the others. Looking towards the future, how do you see the themes and messages encapsulated in "Unsaid" influencing your next projects? Are there any unsaid stories or emotions you still want to explore in your upcoming work? I think there are always going to be new stories that arise and old stories that I hold onto that I'll want to write about. I will keep treating my music like personal diary entries, and I'm just excited to keep creating. I often just show up to the studio with no vision in mind and create how I feel that day. So I'm looking forward to gathering the team to do more of that and see what comes of it! Instagram

We loved “Rebel Spirit”, and the inspiration behind this track was so cute and meaningful! Can you take us through the creative process you went through making this song? I wrote this song to inspire young girls to stay true to themselves. I read an article that presented significant findings that most girls’ confidence and self-esteem plummet when they hit age 12. My nieces, Madeleine and Olivia, recently turned 12, and they’re two of the most fearless people I know. With this song, I wanted to encourage them and all girls their age to hold onto their confidence and to always tap into their inner “Rebel Spirit.” The song went through four different versions because my friend and fellow singer-songwriter Jessie T and I were trying to get it right. I believe in empowering women and anyone who feels boxed in or held back to stand up for themselves and fight for what they believe in. I’m a huge fan of the Fearless Girl statue in New York, which depicts a young girl defiantly facing the Wall Street Charging Bull statue. I have a canvas of it hanging in my studio; every day, it reminds me to be brave. (That’s why a line references it in the song.) What was your favorite part about bringing your vision for the “Rebel Spirit” music video to life? The most amazing part of the filming process was watching all the girls get excited about being in a music video. You can see and feel their joy in the video as they lip-sync to the song, which fills me with so much hope for the next generation of young girls and women. I could tell the message was sinking in for them because they had to learn the lyrics to be in the video. Watching them be empowered and make this message their own was so beautiful. For fans trying to follow in your footsteps, what do you think the most important quality for a musician to have is? Working on your craft and being true to yourself are the two most important things for any artist or musician. Small incremental growth and practice are more important than big bursts, so don’t get discouraged, and keep moving forward with music if it’s something you love. I believe in setting goals and working out the steps to achieve them, so I encourage young artists to practice, write songs, and get as much performance experience as possible. What goals do you aim to achieve through your music, and do you have a favorite musical-related memory? For me, music is a form of self-expression and emotional release. Both listening to and creating music do that for me. I process experiences through music, and I feel a sense of euphoria and calm when I sing. My goal for my music is to continue to tap into those feelings and to use music in a healing way for myself and others. I also hope that anyone listening to my music will feel the same emotions and experiences as I do and that they can find their source of healing or self-expression through my songs. My favorite musical memories are playing the grand piano in my house or listening to my mom play it. Those early experiences laid the foundation for my love of music today and my desire to share music with others. What’s next for AmandaKind? Can we expect to hear more new music soon, and is there anything you want to say to your fans? Stay tuned because there’s more new music coming soon. I have two more singles that I plan to release this year and an EP slated to come out in October. The outpouring of support for “Rebel Spirit” and the rest of my songs within my community and beyond has been incredible, and I’m truly grateful. You can keep up with me and my music on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and my website. Instagram Facebook
- Jonas Brøg Offers His Reflective Approach To Love
Emerging songwriter/producer Jonas Brøg hails from Denmark and has quite the record as an artist. Already traveling worldwide as a drummer, Jonas Brøg realized he wanted to be involved in much more regarding the music industry. We're happy with this decision that Jonas has made here. He's already releasing his music, which tells a story from the point of view we may only sometimes be inclined to look from. One of Jonas Brøg's recent works, "That Feeling," has recently debuted and carries that introspective mindset we mentioned, but this time, focusing on an all too familiar feeling: love. "That Feeling" initially unravels itself with soft and mystical instrumentals. Soon enough, Jonas Brøg's vocals enter the track, and they're just as smooth and velvety as the rhythm. Jonas Brøg is a timider when executing his vocal soundings, contributing further to the intended melody. You're getting yourself into a comfortable and flexible listening experience with "That Feeling." More so on the lyrical side of Jonas Brøg's track, "That Feeling" delves into the intimate sensations that love and admiration can impart to an individual. Jonas Brøg is melting our hearts with "That Feeling" because the emotions he describes throughout the track can accurately resonate with many listeners, including ourselves. It's stirring to follow along with Jonas Brøg's story and life experience in "That Feeling," which urges our curiosity for what anecdote we'll be hearing next from Jonas Brøg. For now, "That Feeling" satisfies our appetite. Thanks for talking with us about your newly released single "That Feeling." Considering the emotional significance a song like this holds, was it easy to curate the lyrics for such a track? Tell our readers a bit more about your intentions behind this reflective track. Thanks for listening to my song! I’m having this thing lately where I feel that life is going way too fast, so this song is a reminder to slow down, really take in the moments we are given, look at our loved ones, and let them feel that we are here in the now with them. I think it’s one of the best gifts there is to give someone, your full attention right there, but it’s also one of the best gifts you can grant yourself. We are just here for a very little time, so I wanna slow down a little, “before we grow old, slow down”. What initially urged you to grow and expand your artistry into the songwriting and singing aspect of music? Looking back within the last 18 months since you've expanded, would you do anything differently? What I should have done differently is very clear to me, not only in the last 18 months, but rather in the last 10 years or so; I should have made my life way more simple, like cutting out the noise more, fewer screens in my life, less tv, social media, fewer emails, but more reading of great books, and more dinners with friends, more traveling, less on-line, but more real-life, build up memories, walk more in beautiful nature, and enjoy life more vs working so darn much. I have a tendency to fill my life with trying to be better better better, to an obsessive degree. I’m learning many things about life these days. "That Feeling" really is the kind of track we want to listen to when we're in need of a contemplative or meditative mindset. What kind of ambiance were you personally intending to set for listeners with this song? I’d say you should grab your loved one, and have a little dance together, slowly and gently, in the evening, or in the middle of the day, tell him or her how much he or she means to you, and just move from one leg to the other, like in slow-motion, holding each other tight, like you are one. I’d say that’s the best way to hear this song! Thanks again, Jonas Brøg! It was a treat to hear more about your perspective on "That Feeling". Do you intend to release more tracks similar to "That Feeling", or should listeners expect a shift in atmospheres with your next release? Thank YOU for listening! I’m just finishing my next song, called "My Fathers Hand". It’s a tad more uptempo with a bit more powerfull track, but still, I sing it rather ‘intense-relaxed-in the moment’ sort of way, honestly because when I try to sing out loud it sounds terrible haha. So I’m keeping my voice in the soft zone. That’s what I’m up to at the moment. Thanks for having me, a big hug from Amsterdam! Instagram #BuzzMusic
- Kyle Richardson Makes A Triumphant Return With His Infectious New Single “Can You Hear Me”
The Vancouver artist returns from hiatus with a powerful yet catchy new offering. Vancouver-based Canadian pop artist Kyle Richardson is back and better than ever with his highly anticipated new single, “Can You Hear Me.” Although he’s been on hiatus since 2019, “Can You Hear Me” is both Richardson’s powerful re-entry statement to the music scene and proof that he hasn't missed a beat since he’s been gone. It’s a tantalizing taste of what’s to come, significantly since his debut album “Louder Than Words” is slated for release later this year. Richardson is not new to the game, that’s for sure. As a dedicated songwriter and musician, he’s collaborated with artists as big and esteemed as Carly Rae Jepsen, DYLN, and Garret Neiles. His previous releases, including “Painkiller” and “So Hot It Hurts,” have already made waves on Canadian radio. At the same time, his guest vocals on various collaborations have garnered millions of streams on Spotify. Richardson’s talent is undeniable, and with his level of musical mastery, he’s poised to make a big splash in the scene again. Regarding his latest release, “Can You Hear Me,” Richardson explains that the song is about inspiration, making a statement for yourself, and embracing the best life offers. Richardson's breathtaking vocals energize the listener over swelling, inspirational, and uplifting pop-influenced instrumentals. At the same time, he drops gold like “We live for the moment, and we fight for the dream /, and we’re never gonna let go.” “Can You Hear Me” manages to beautifully evoke tinges of nostalgia while exuding positivity and hope for the future. If there’s one thing we can say, Kyle Richardson continues to impress. “Can You Hear Me” is a proud, powerful statement and call to action for people (especially the LGBTQIA+ community, of which Kyle is a proud member) to live their lives boldly and without regrets. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Kyle Richardson’s “Can You Hear Me,” available now on all major streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Kyle Richardson! We loved “Can You Hear Me”; what a statement coming back from your hiatus! We must ask, what was the inspiration behind this song, and what inspired you to return from your hiatus? Hey! I’m so glad you enjoyed “Can You Hear Me”! I’m so happy to have it out in the world, finally! I wrote this song with fellow artist Andrew Allen and writer-producer Jeff Dawson. We wanted to write an empowering anthem about living your truth, being bold and confident, and living in the present. I honestly wasn’t supposed to be on hiatus for so long. I released a Christmas single in 2019 and intended to follow it up shortly with material from my album, but the global pandemic kicked into full gear around then. I just had to focus on getting a ‘regular job’ for a while, and it just took a while to return to being an artist. It did give me a lot of time to fine-tune everything with the upcoming album, though, as well as get all the visuals and videos done, and there could even be an entirely acoustic album ready as well… You’re a proud member and advocate of the LGBTQIA+ community, which you never shy away from in your music. Especially concerning “Can You Hear Me,” how important is it to you as an artist that you have and continue to lend your voice towards acceptance and unapologetically being your authentic self? I think it’s important to be authentic to yourself no matter who you are. I think, especially as artists, we are storytellers, and to do that while hiding aspects of who we are, it comes across as fake. Even if the audience doesn’t know what’s off, they’ll sense something is not quite truthful in what we are trying to communicate. I think pushing to have everyone be accepted as they are is important! How and when did you decide that you wanted to pursue music seriously? When I was in high school, I started performing at talent shows and gradually began writing songs and realized that I had a passion for doing music behind casual voice lessons and school functions. I started learning basic guitar chords and recording home demos, and eventually went to school for music production! I decided I was better at the artistic side of things and started coming to Vancouver to work with some amazing talent and recorded some songs, and found my footing in terms of what I wanted to do musically. What would you want it to be if your fans and listeners could take one message away from your music? I want my music to be inspiring and motivating. I want my songs to be happy and hopeful generally. I hope that whatever someone is going through if they listen to my music, they can relate and find comfort in the lyrics. So your debut album, “Louder Than Words,” is slated to be released later this year. How exciting is it to see your vision and hard work come to life, and are there any particular songs on your project you’re excited for fans to hear? I’m so excited to release “Louder Than Words.” It’s been long, but the wait has been worth it. I wanted to have a great mix of material on this album. There are some modern pop-sounding songs, some that are more nostalgic, and a good variety of tempos throughout. I wanted it to be a vocally-driven album. I’m especially excited for everyone to hear the singles “Anything” and “Keep The Faith.” I’ve written these songs for a long time and was waiting for the right chance to release them. They encapsulate much of what I want to present artistically in terms of the kind of lyrics, message, and melody. “Fight The Good Fight” also a really fun vibe, and there’s a song called “Everything About You” that is just crazy vocally and different from the rest of the album.
