- Joshua Ryan Opens Up About His Latest Single, "Lost In You"
With such a unique sound choice and production style, you must have a lot of different music genres you listen to right now. However, what was the first kind of music you can remember getting into? Does it reflect in your own music today? The first kind of music that I was really into was definitely Motown. I remember listening to the Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Commodores, etc. Every morning they were on the radio, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with singing along. I think it absolutely has played a big role in the music I do today. The emotion and soul of some of the best Motown singers definitely made their way into how I’ve shaped my vocal tone and abilities, along with some of my other favorites Tracy Chapman, Boys II Men, Whitney Houston, and a few others. Going from Detroit to Los Angeles must have been a major difference in how you create music. What was the first important difference you can see in the lifestyle of people who live in LA vs. people who live in Detroit? Great question. There are definitely a few big differences, but the biggest difference that I’ve noticed is the sense of community. In Detroit, everyone wants to jam, write, play shows together, and support all local artists regardless of their current clout in the business. It’s hard in LA to really get embedded in the scene and with the right people. It’s easy to get overlooked, and if you’re above a certain age and don’t have big enough social numbers, it can be even harder. Detroit was about the music, and the rest was a bonus. With such creative songs and production, there must be some sort of music-making formula that you have made or some sort of step sequence you structure yourself around. With that in mind, do you make music on two speakers at home, or do you like to use studios or both? Does the vibe of a studio throw off your creative process? Most of my songs start with a simple pad/piano progression and a beat. I’m usually wearing my headphones at first, and once I have a solid starting point, I’ll play it back in my monitors to hear if it’s a vibe. Some songs stay in that place for months, and others come quicker because I have an idea that sparks, and I run with it. I also loop in my boy Austin Hull who is an amazing producer and artist himself in Orlando, and we collab on a lot of tracks together, which brings the ideas to life. Sometimes the studio can be overwhelming because there are so many pieces of equipment there, and you’re wondering, “Do I need all of this for the sound that I want” and you feel more of the “time is money” feeling. Being at home and sending files between people is my favorite way. This song just released about a week ago, do you think it will be followed up by a new album? Are any collaborations coming up as well? I already have another song that I’ve started working on and am VERY excited about. It’s going to be a little different but not far from my current vibe. We might have a collab on this one as well. We will see. What can we expect to see from you throughout 2020? Expect to see a few more single releases, another music video, and hopefully, some shows added into the mix. I can only hope to reach as many new fans and followers as possible. Instagram
- Joshua Ryan Pays Homage To His “Muse” In A Sultry New Single
From Detroit to Austin and Los Angeles, singer-songwriter and r&b recording artist Joshua Ryan returns with his passionate and lustful new single, "Muse." "I'm always somewhere between peace and chaos," notes Joshua Ryan, who uses music to reflect his internal and external experiences. As life's trials and tribulations struck Ryan from the mere age of six, it wasn't long until he knew that music was his calling. He's even travelled to Russia to play on MTV and the American Embassy and performed on late-night talk shows and the Warped Tour. Now releasing his desirous and groovy new single, "Muse," Joshua Ryan wears his heart on his sleeve while paying homage to his counterpart and mystical muse. We adore the modern feel of this track; it perfectly showcases the epitome of contemporary r&b with each blissful, groovy, and haunting sonic arrangement. Hitting play on the single "Muse," the song peacefully opens with a few haunting vocal chops that rain down from above while a spacious synth begins to make its way to the foreground. As Joshua Ryan jumps into his passionate and sensual lyrical delivery, he grooves over to the transcendent hook, where he serenades us with nothing but love and desire. We're genuinely impressed with Joshua Ryan's ability to portray such passionate and almost indescribable emotions; his lyricism perfectly depicts the experiences we feel when falling head over heels for someone. As he leads us to the song's lush and soothing outro, Joshua Ryan closes the song with nothing but groove, heart, and soul. Show some love to Joshua Ryan's latest sensual single, "Muse," now available on all digital streaming platforms. We're truly in awe of the passionate sonic landscape you've delivered with your latest single, "Muse." What inspired you to create such a desirous and heartfelt piece? My wife was the inspiration behind "Muse." This song is about that muse in your life that turns you on mentally just as much (if not more) than they do physically. This is that "bad bitch' energy, and my wife has plenty of it, thus inspiring me to write about it. As it pertains to the listener: the "Muse" is everything you want but still keeps you wanting more. They will be there when you need them but will challenge you. They will keep you on your toes while inspiring what comes out of you. They also know exactly what games to play to stimulate you mentally. Did you produce the haunting sonics for "Muse," or did you work with any other producers and musicians to help navigate the sonic atmosphere and vibe? I came up with the original idea/vibe for the beginning of "Muse" and knew what I wanted out of the song. My friend and amazing producer, Austin Hull of Make Pop Music, is my right-hand man when it comes to bringing my songs to life. We collab often, and there's a person out there who's been able to understand my intentions as much as he has. He's truly a beast, and I couldn't ask for a better producer in crime. Was it easy for you to lay it all on the line and open your heart when writing your passionate lyrics for "Muse?" What was your songwriting process like? Honestly, this one was a little tough. I had a first verse and chorus in the beginning but struggled to come up with a 2nd verse and bridge. A couple of months in, I decided to completely scrap the chorus. The overall vibe of the chorus just wasn't there for me, so. I went back to the drawing board. I started recording myself singing all different melodies over the chorus, and within 30 minutes, I had a brand new chorus that I was in love with, and that's what it is now. Throughout the process, I was sending over clips of new ideas to Austin, and once he heard the final idea, he was like, "This is it," and we finished the song. How do songs like "Muse" help us get to know your music better? Do you usually create such moody, honest, and passionate r&b? Passion, Moody, and Clever writing is literally everything that I try to put into my songs. I think "Muse" is a great example of that. For instance, "I've got your head in the clouds, with your legs at the ceiling." It's all about the imagery, painting a picture, and telling a story. I'm a huge believer in "Tell us how you really feel" and will continue to do that same thing in everything I release going forward. I hope more people do reach out and try to get to know me. What's the mystery behind Joshua Ryan and his songs? I'd say, "Come find out!" Do you have any other releases planned before the end of the year? For 2021, I think "Muse" was a great way to go into the Holidays. I'm definitely already writing my next song and plan to release it at the beginning of 2022. 2022 is going to be the year where I release the most music so far. I have a lot that I want to say, and I plan to put myself in more places than I've ever been. I want a lot out of this coming year, and I want to bring as many people with me as possible. Hopefully, a new music video will be in the near future as well. Stay tuned, and make sure to reach out and connect! Let's keep growing. Until then, I definitely recommend listening to "Muse" if you haven't already. Share it with YOUR muse and pass it along. Instagram

Joshua’s vocal style and sound are a big part of what gives his musical personality. Throughout his newest release, “Life Of My Party,” the delivery is fairly calm and seductive, keeping up with the sentiments and mood of the music. The concept is chilled out. It talks of relationships, lust, and directly addressing a significant other in an intimate and classically pop-like R&B fashion. Everything is low-key and personal, seeming specifically intended for that relationship setting. There aren’t too many artists pushing in this direction right now, so “Life Of My Party,” in particular, stands out for its level of identity. This song is about finding that person and immediately being enamoured and captivated by their existence. So much so that you want them to feel the same way you do and start imagining that they already do; I wrote this song for my wife. What was the concept behind the music video for “Life Of My Party”? This song took on two different realities. There was a constant battle between what was actually happening and what I wanted to be happening. The real world and my dream world. How I felt and how I wanted her to feel. What was the filming process like for you? The filming of this video couldn't have gone any better. I had an amazing team that spent a lot of hours on this project. The dedication, persistence and perseverance that they displayed are beyond appreciated. They truly brought my thoughts to life. What do you hope to achieve as an artist going forward? I want nothing more than to share my songs with as many people as possible. I'm continuing to write new music, shoot more videos, and definitely plan to meet more amazing people along the way. I'm looking forward to performing in your city soon. Instagram Twitter
- Kyn Lays It All Out With Her New Single, "Questions Pt. 2"
From Atlanta, GA, we have Kyn with her amazing new single "Questions Pt. 2". Kyn started out by joining the choir in middle school and has been singing for most of her life, but it wasn’t until recently that she got the courage to step into music as a career and today, she shares some truly amazing music with us all. Diving into "Questions Pt. 2," at first you may ask yourself, why the “part two?” However, once the lyrics kick in, you begin to understand the background of the situation. It seems like she has been hung up on the same person for some time and has gone back to them over and over again. Asking herself these “questions,” it’s now obvious why this needed to be a continuation of a previously expressed emotion. Musically, you’re brought back to the 90s, but as if they happened now, making it a unique current hit. The song is super reminiscent of 90’s R&B jams but has a modern approach to it that brings the genre to a new and exciting place. The vocal performance is flawless. You can feel the pain and frustration of Kyn through her performance, and it sells the realism of the song the entire way through. ‘Questions Pt. 2’ wraps up at two minutes, but it is enough for you to feel for her and her emotions. Listen to "Questions Pt. 2" today by Kyn and follow her on social media to keep up to date with new music and updates. Instagram

- Interview: London King Opens Up About How She Remains A Versatile Artist In "DNA"
Your story and journey is one that fills listeners with hope and drive. You’ve dedicated yourself fully to music. When did you decide that music was what you wanted to do with your life? Thank you for having me! I wanted to be a performer since I was 4. I used to be part of a children's theatre company, and every time I got to be on stage, I felt powerful, and I know many young artists feel that way too. When I started writing my own music at age 11, I knew already what I wanted to be and where I wanted to be. Looking back now, it's been a hell of a journey and certainly one I will never forget. Your single "DNA" is such a powerful song both lyrically and in its composition. What inspired you to write this song? Dating life in a big city like London inspired me to write a song like this. Also, the capability to feel never enough for that special person shows you what love is with the simplest gestures. There are a lot of people scared of love; the bottom line is it can truly save you. You are a very versatile artist with the ability to make music of many different genres. "Bite Me" is very different from your solo project. Who are some of your musical inspirations? Queen, specifically Freddie Mercury, is one of my biggest inspirations. Followed by David Bowie, Madonna, George Michael and many more. I love mixing genres and sounds. Music is a language, you can have fun with it, and that's the whole point of being an artist. It's not an absolute concept; it's no math formula. It's pure creativity and imagination. You stay very busy and have multiple projects in the works. How do you balance your life between musical projects and writing? One inspires the other. Writing songs and writing novels/poems it's a very similar things. Both are a journey; only songs and poems have fewer words. It overwhelms me sometimes, I must say. Keeping up with various storylines as well is never easy, but I adore every second of it. Sometimes I go straight into editing my novel after finishing a song. Do you have any music news or updates that you'd like to share with us and your fans? Dear loves, I know you all ask me when my next project will come out. I must say, you'll have to wait next year, as this project is bigger and better. In terms of nearer future, expect a literary surprise. Also, watch out for Solaris International Deluxe, which will drop out when you least expect it. - There Is No Question That Real Music Exists In London King’s Latest Single, "DNA"
London King is an artist from the historic city of Rome. Her love for music first blossomed when she was 10 years old and has grown into a force large enough to cross oceans. London’s journey is one of great resilience and inspiration. She has risked it all and crossed oceans to pursue music and through her pursuit, find herself. Leaving behind a punk band, the artist left Rome and moved to London in 2012 when she was just a teenager. Dedicating herself to a solo career, the artist soon put together an entire EP entitled 'Solaris.' "DNA" is the final single from her debut EP and it is dripping with emotional electro-pop swagger. The song begins with a powerful synth organ sound that leads us into the first verse. In it, London describes the emotional experience of meeting someone incredible and immediately embracing them. As the chorus comes along, the artist’s lyrics paint a picture of uncertainty, as she says, “I don’t think that I can give you what you deserve,” further emphasizing the idea that she thinks this person is way too good for her; but with talent like this, that’s impossible. On top of being a solo artist, London also acts as Lead singer and songwriter in the band Bite Me, an intriguing new project that gained acclaim almost immediately after starting. While playing a show at the legendary Dublin Castle, the girls wowed the audience. Following that success, they have continued to tour throughout the UK and are set to release their first single, "Deviant" this year. London has not forgotten about her solo project, though. In fact, she is currently working on her debut album, set to be released in 2021. A creative through and through. We can't wait to see what's next for London King. Your new single "Love Bluff" from your latest EP 'Bears' is like a blast from a timeless past. What inspired you to bring back this hard-hitting rock music? It's the music we grew up with. We took the songs that inspired us and stayed true to our roots. It’s not about what sells; it’s about what inspired us to be who we are. Who wouldn’t want to keep the most nostalgic time of their lives going strong? For us, it’s the '90s. Can you tell your fans and our readers about your 'Bears' EP release show that was set to happen on March 17 at the iconic LA venue the Hi-Hat? We're super excited about it, too. Unfortunately, in the past few days, we’ve all been blindsided by mass venue closures to slow the spread of COVID-19. We’re extremely grateful to the Hi-Hat for working with us right up until the end to try to make this EP release show happen, but we all had to accept the fact that public safety is far more important than our love of gathering in small, crowded rooms. For now, we're working on a way to bring our EP release show to the Internet before the month is out. Keep an eye on our socials for more info on where and when you can tune in for that. And until then, you can listen to the EP on March 17 and blast it. One way or another, we'll bring the feedback to you. No risk is necessary. What can new fans expect from your live performance, FriendlyBear? We deliver a high-energy performance, full of distortion and noise and hair flying everywhere. We’re just three friends having a great time, in the hopes that everyone listening will have a great time with us. You all live and work in the city of dreams. How does living in Los Angeles affect the music you create? We’re very fortunate to live in a city full of music venues, big and small, and people who appreciate seeing live music. It’s great to be able to catch a wide variety of performances on any given night, under regular circumstances. Los Angeles is diverse, so we are blessed with inspiration from all over the globe. - FriendlyBear Is Gearing Up To Release Their New Song, ‘Love Bluff’
This is not a love song: this is a story of a one-sided relationship in which the protagonist has feelings that are not real. Propelled by the thrashing of electric guitars and bouncing drums, Guy Jedidiah screams the opening lyric, “I’m hating it, the way you’re looking at me. I’m faded.” If you’ve ever been in a similar situation, you can feel the singer’s anguish pierce his voice and into your skin. The lyrics pull you deep into memories and feelings that you try to forget. Even though the lyrics weep with heartache, this song remains upbeat. Instead of wanting to cry your eyes out while wrapped in blankets, you want to cry while screaming and jumping to the beat. This song might be the cathartic release you need if you find yourself on the receiving end of a "Love Bluff." FriendlyBear has been making an impact across Los Angeles since its debut in 2018. Consisting of Executive Chef and lead vocalist Guy Jedidiah, as well as Megan and Adam Bones (The Two Tens), Save Ferris, Compress Collide, and The Gabba Gabba Heys. This trio pays homage to the ‘garage band’ era. They make music that is reminiscent of the ’90s. FriendlyBear draws inspiration from bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots. ‘Love Bluff’ is produced in Los Angeles by Michael Eisenstien, and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Hans Dekline. The result of this amazing collaboration is a polished and playful pop-rock song that everyone can love.
