  • Haus Flore Envisions Possible Futures For Love In “Notebook”

The EDM duo Haus Flore, from futuristic France and Germany, tells a time-traveling story of love and sex in their single “Notebook” in collaboration with Christina Luyo. Haus Flore is a duo from a futuristic cyber France and Germany who decided to bring their music to our time to bring people together out of pure love for electronic music. It seems that people in the next century still struggle with the same issues as us, but they might have learned something to teach us through music. “Notebook” is the story of a sex worker who longs for a future with a lover, so she imagines how it would be with each of her sexual partners. Sadly, their encounters are disappointing, as she tells us in “Notebook.” Still, it is a beautiful song about story and life written by Maxime Boublil, produced by Dominik Falkowski, and with the dreamy voice of Christina Luyo. The intro of “Notebook” caresses your ears with a sweet violin that accompanies Christina’s voice and digital guitar notes that sound like tender pulses. There are piano notes alongside the sweet violin that adds a touching ambiance while Christina indulges your sense with her fantastic vocal abilities, perfect for this electro-ballad. The instrumentals are pure ecstasy, and when “Notebook” drops, they run through your head, making you close your eyes and breathe deeply out of pure relaxation and blissfulness. Every second of “Notebook” feels like resting on cotton or feeling the wind on your face. Give in to the pleasant sounds of the future and listen to "Notebook." Welcome to BuzzMusic, Haus Flore, and congratulations on your latest release, "Notebook." What inspired the lyrics of "Notebook?" The lyrics of "Notebook" were written when Lucinda Sage (co-writer) and I looked at each other and said, "what if we write about something we have never experienced? What if we placed ourselves in the skin of somebody else? With the influences of musical theatre in my head, thinking of Miss Saigon and Les Miserables, the first thought that came to mind was, “what about a sex worker”? and the song started to come to life. How did the collaboration with Christina Luyo come about? What was it like collaborating together on "Notebook?" Funnily enough, I’m in a long-distance relationship and have been for two years with a girl from Peru. While visiting Lima one day, a friend of ours invited us to this cafe where Cristina sang the covers of “Olivia Rodrigo.” I’m an absolute fan of Olivia Rodrigo, and the whole time, I thought to myself, “please do her justice,” and my expectations were blown away. Cristina crushed it, and coincidentally, she found herself in Miami a few weeks later. It was meant to be, so I booked a trip to Miami, and we recorded the song. She was the best to work with, excited about the song, had amazing harmonies, and was just a genuinely kind-hearted person. Tell us, how would you describe the feeling of listening to "Notebook?" When Dominik and I listen to "Notebook," we get a feeling of nostalgia and purpose at the same time. It was a long time coming for us to make a big room EDM song together, but with this cinematic aspect, that’s even more gratifying. Electronic music has become too dark over the past few years, and we want to bring back the light. What message would you like listeners to know about "Notebook?" We don’t want listeners to know anything more than what they hear. Now that they know the story behind the song let’s see where their imagination takes them. Instagram Facebook

  • Sty-Low Is Tryna Be “Dif’ren”

Canadian rapper Sty-Low AKA Mister D.O.P.E (Determination On Point Every day), is back with a fresh banger. This time around, his song is about being ‘’Dif’ren.’’ Toronto-based rapper Sty-Low also performs as a singer and a producer. He combines the grit of hip-hop with the melodies of r&b; his goal is to create good music with a purpose. ‘’Dif’ren’’ has sick lyrics about standing out and being different, something we all need a little reminding of sometimes. West Coast Hip-Hop from the 1990s primarily influences Sty-Low. He is inspired by performers and producers like Dr. Dre, which he mentions in ‘’Dif’ren’’, DJ Quik, and 2Pac. His distinctive sound is a low-key, quick-paced rap style he calls "Whisper Roar," which features melodic beats. His musical talents produce the kind of music that makes you want to repeatedly press the repeat button. A powerful rhythm, bass-heavy beat, and powerful lines set the tone for "Dif'ren" from the get-go. The mind-boggling track melts you into a trance. Sty-Low has a distinct roughness to his voice, and his rapping is spot-on. His distinctive Whisper Roar style is instantly recognizable and incredibly alluring. The video is quite interesting. It begins in a BDSM-like environment, getting hotter and sexier by the second. ‘’Dif’ren’’ hits all the notes for a laid-back get-together with friends. It’ll set the mood with energetic lines, motivating lyrics, and an upbeat rhythm. Welcome back to BuzzMusic Sty-Low. Where do you keep drawing so much inspiration from? Can you tell us where you sourced your inspiration when writing ‘’Dif’ren?" Thanks to BuzzMusic for having me back. I draw inspiration from the love I have for music. Once I make a beat, the music tells me what I will be rapping about. once I wrote Dif'ren, I started writing the script for the Music video. I also wanted to be different from my previous video yet, keep the same dark atmosphere. What makes you want to be different? Why do you want your listeners to know the importance of being different? I am inspired by 90s Hip Hop when "biting"(taking, copying) anybody else's style was a bad thing. Everyone wanted to sound unique and be different, but nowadays, every rapper wants to sound alike; the beats sound alike, and they all talk about the same things. I want my listeners to understand the importance of being different, but most importantly, they need to be themselves, and this is why in "Dif'ren," I say, "I'm the best cause, I'm the best Me..." Where do you draw inspiration from when producing your music? I constantly have melodies in my head, so I make beats in my head, which is how I ended up making over 400 beats. What I do these days is listen to my beats, and if I start envisioning a music video as I am listening, then I start writing the song. What's the message you want people to take away from ‘’Dif’ren?" I want people to embrace being unique and be themselves if they have it in them because standing out can make you an outcast. Some people want to fit in; I was born to stand out, which is why I don't use any profanity in my lyrics, and I don't talk about anything most rappers stereotypically talk about(money, violence, drugs, etc...). I respect what other rappers do, but I would rather be "Dif'ren!" What's next for you? I am constantly working on new music, so I'm already planning my next single called "Kaptav8'n Ya Br8n" (captivating your brain) that I might release for Halloween 2023. I have high standards, so I will always keep producing high-quality music supported by amazing music videos. Instagram

  • Krononaut Goes On A Trip Of Heavy Metal Symphony In, “The Long Way Home”

Krononaut, from Sydney, Australia, sends us on an outer world trip with his guitar you would wish never ends in his new single “The Long Way Home.” Jaz Doust, also known as Kronoaut, is an artist from Sydney who takes the best of diverse genres like blues, synth wave, and rock and roll to create music that could transport you to other worlds. He is also the manager of his own studio, where he composes and records his music and seeks to leave his mark on the instrumental heavy metal scene with his work. “The Long Way Home” is an epic instrumental work that sounds like a "retro symphony," as Krononaut explains. The energetic instrumentals, led by a fantastic guitar, envelop your senses and send you into a trance of fantasy and heavy metal, like a soundtrack of an adventure you could imagine by closing your eyes. Press the play button and dive into the journey with the strumming riff of distorted guitar. Then it welcomes a wall of sound, merging with the powerful drums, buzzing bass, and the cry of the leading guitar singing what merge words can’t. Just a few seconds after the song starts, euphoria is at the top, your head is banging, and your ears are in extasis. Krononaut demonstrates his musical maturity with incredible tension management, letting the song rest with sweet melodies and then increasing the hype to explode in a burst of excitement. Thus, “The Long Way Home” never gets exhausting. Instead, every second is a part of the trip you don’t want to miss. Welcome to BuzzMusic Kronoaut, and congratulations on your latest release, "The Long Way Home." What were your greatest musical references to make “The Long Way Home?" I'm a massive heavy metal fan, particularly from the 80s New wave of British Heavy Metal movement. Judas Priest is always a band I draw heavy inspiration from. I love their epic melodies and the overall tone of their songs. I think, particularly for this track, Jared James Nichols and Black Label Society were a big influence whilst the song came to fruition. I feel subconscious that I was trying to blend Jared James Nichol's contemporary heavy blues rock n roll with a Zakk Wylde guitar playing style. What was the most challenging moment when making “The Long Way Home?” The entire process was one of the quickest for me, from writing to release. But when I was writing the 'Verse' or the 'Main Solo' sections, I would prioritize my time on this re-writing or completely drop ideas altogether. My main objective when creating these parts is to make the guitar leads emotive and tell a story sonically without lyrics. What would you like people to picture when listening to “The Long Way Home?" To reminisce about a good time that's been had. It could be a late night out that's ended when you're driving back from somewhere, putting your favorite song on in the car whilst taking the scenic route—"The Long Way Home." Why did you choose that title for “The Long Way Home?" My old man used to have a classic car, a Pontiac Catalina 67' (the car pictured in the track artwork). We would travel to numerous car shows together, listening to old rock and roll such as Jimi Hendrix and Ice House. On returning from these trips, we would take a long way home. Since he passed away, this song was an homage to him. What's next for you? I have many more songs in the works with Krononaut, including a few collaborations with other guitarists and vocalists, etc. I'll be releasing my debut EP in early 2023. The other band I play lead guitar for, Wicked Envy, will be going into the studio in early 2023 to record some new singles for our debut album—date TBA. Instagram Facebook

Where do you get most of your inspiration from when creating music? My inspiration comes from artists such as Tate McRae, Mimi Webb, Ariana Grande, Adele, and Sam Smith. However, not just other artists can inspire. Going through different experiences and writing about them also helps to inspire me. Could you describe the creative process behind creating ''New Chapter?" I remember starting with the song's chorus, and then I created the storyline from the chorus to create the rest of the song. The song's name came to me first when I thought I wanted to write about starting something new as it fits with where I’m now. What are you most excited about in this ''New Chapter'?" Why? First, I hope people can relate to my song about starting a new chapter. • A Bruised Heart Means More Champagne Than “Orange Juice,” For Lexi Cline

Sharing her quirky, magnetic, and honest stylings is a singer-songwriter and pop recording artist Lexi Cline with her latest sincere single and music video, "Orange Juice." With such honest and relatable lyrics, it's hard to tell whether Lexi Cline is pulling from her personal diary or yours. She's already mastered the art of building relationships with her fans through witty, conceptual, and confessional creations, along with snappy melodies that showcase her shamelessly vulnerable spin on pop music. “I want to make music that inspires people to be exactly who they are," says Cline, adding that if she can help anyone embrace themselves fully, she knows she's doing something right. Cline brings that theme of self-love and healing to life in her latest single and music video, "Orange Juice." The song is a lively and upbeat pop anthem that expresses the post-breakup healing journey and how we tend to indulge in our favorite things a little bit more. In the song's music video, Cline captures those scenes with visuals of plates on plates of delicious food and, of course, more champagne than "Orange Juice." It's a bubbly song and equally vibrant music video with bright colors and bedazzled foods, all of which Lexi Cline gracefully scarfs down. We admire this unique approach to breakup songs, as it's a light and upbeat listening experience with a profound meaning, letting us know that it's okay to indulge in our vices when times get tough, just as long as we remember there's light at the end of the tunnel. Take a nice, refreshing swig of some "Orange Juice" with Lexi Cline's new single and music video. Find the track on all digital streaming platforms and the music video on YouTube. We love your honest yet upbeat approach to the classic breakup song in "Orange Juice." What inspired you to take this quirkier route and sing about drinking more champagne than "Orange Juice?" Heartbreak might be one of the worst feelings in the world!! When it comes to all things sad, I try to distract myself as much as possible by doing new things and surrounding myself with good people. More often than not, it's about allowing time to heal broken wounds, so why not fill that time with everything that makes you happy? I'm not the first to jump at writing a sad song, so I wanted to write a feel-good breakup song, which consisted of grabbing my friends and going out for more champagne than orange juice! What was your vision for the "Orange Juice" music video? What inspired the scenes of you eating bedazzled foods all alone? I've always loved music videos that take an audience into a fictional world! I brainstormed for a while about what this might look like and knew I wanted it to be a simple, light, & playful concept that highlights my quirky brand. Because this was just a lyric video, we decided on one location and to focus on making the food a big part of the video! I happened to be on Pinterest a week before the shoot, where I came across a photo of a banana covered in rhinestones and immediately knew I had to incorporate this! It took me about 8 hours to bedazzle all the food shown in the video... turns out rhinestones don't stick on oranges very well! Did you have any directors or producers help you bring the "Orange Juice" music video to life? What was your experience shooting the music video with your team? I worked closely with a cinematographer, Jordan Edwards, who helped me develop the entire story for this video. One of my best friends helped me bring all the food to the studio, and we set it all up, just the three of us! It was a fairly simple shoot; the food was the only thing that was hard to keep fresh! It was pretty funny having to remove several rhinestones from my mouth after biting into one of the cupcakes or donuts. Should we anticipate hearing "Orange Juice" on your upcoming EP in 2023? Could you drop any hints about that project? "Orange Juice" will remain separate from my anticipated EP release, which will drop as singles slated for early 2023! Orange Juice was such a fun concept; I wanted it to be a separate project from my upcoming music releases! The social media engagement on this song has been higher than any previous release, especially on FB reels, where the song has accumulated over 4 million views! What's next for you? I am very excited about the music I have been working on and the amount I have grown as a songwriter. I'm excited to release a few upcoming collaborations in the next few weeks as I gear up for all the new music released in 2023! Until then, I'll be drinking more champagne than orange juice... cheers! Instagram Facebook

What word would you describe the making process of “Energy Rain” and why? The process was an exciting experience to create a song with such an explosion. The concept is to have the audience build a connection with someone and just have fun exchanging positive Energy. How much of your life do you reflect on in “Energy Rain?” 100% The way I define Energy Rain is an Exchange of energy and emotions with someone you build a spiritual connection with. Energy Rain is based on an episode in my life with someone that match my vibe and energy when my life was in a dark place. When you build a spiritual bond with that person, it becomes more than just a feeling. That person is constantly in your head or your dreams, meeting between different realms and visions. I mentioned before the King Chronos brand will visit The Past, Present, and Future in my music. What kind of energy did you want to give through “Energy Rain” to listeners? Positive Energy I wanted to create a track that gives positive Vibes. When that type of vibe is around, it builds confidence in that person and encourages them to move towards a better light. What was the creation process like for “Energy Rain?” Working with Mark Matter, one of my engineers, is always a pleasure. He is an outstanding engineer and knows my head and style of music. I love to be creative, especially musically. I spent a 3hr session in the studio with Mark making the project. I also use protools myself to create the concept before attending the studio. I enjoyed creating Energy Rain and giving my Audience a follow-up track for Rhythm N Vibes which the two songs are indeed connected, so I encourage everybody to listen to Rhythm N Vibes if they haven't. • NIIVA Wants To Be More Than "Friends"

From Bulgaria to England and finally Toronto, singer-songwriter and modern pop recording artist NIIVA turns up the sweet and sultry vibes with her latest single, "Friends." NIIVA has already amassed over 1.6 million streams with her lyrical liquid courage and countless collaborations. Her debut single "Black Mamba" for KPOP girl group aespa reached No. 1 on the Billboard World Album charts, No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart, and No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Back and ready to attack, NIIVA is jumping into a sultry and relatable theme with her groovy new single, "Friends." The bold new track expresses NIIVA's love for a friend, a sort of forbidden fruit situation. It's that familiar friends-to-lovers scenario but with a steamy pop songstress edge. Produced by Toronto's Emery Taylor (Kiesza, R3HAB), "Friends" kicks off with NIIVA's smooth and sensual vocals that linger into the first verse with heaps of passion and lust. She instantly brings the listener into those primal moments of craving someone's love, a situation that sure doesn't look like "Friends." NIIVA's radiant and sexual performance stylings, alongside Taylor's infectious production, bring this hot and heavy atmosphere that's impossible to resist. The driving drum arrangements and twinkling keys, alongside NIIVA's broad vocal range and conceptual lyrics, keep the listener locked in and engaged from start to finish. It's one of the most well-rounded and desirous modern pop songs we've heard from an independent act, and it's clear NIIVA's successful music career has only just begun. When you're ready to take that leap of courage and move from friends to lovers, hit play on NIIVA's irresistible new single, "Friends," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, NIIVA. Congratulations on releasing your steamy and bluntly honest new single, "Friends." What inspired you to write a song about the friends-to-lovers scenario? Thank you! We love a bit of spice in this house. The friends-to-lovers scenario is the story of my romantic life, so I thought it was about time I put it into song. The best way to know if you want to be with someone and if they’re a good fit for you is to get to see them at their most unfiltered, without the pressure of a romantic relationship - and vice versa. That’s how I knew I wanted to be with the person I’m with now - I saw him in his purest form, as friends first, without any attempts to impress or be something we’re not. What atmosphere or vibe did you want to set up for listeners when they hear "Friends"? How did you want this new track to make them feel? I wanted to convey the mixed feelings of frustration, excitement, and tension that come with realizing you’re crossing a line with someone you might not want to risk losing. The crossover from friends to more is always a dangerous move because you never know if it’ll work out romantically. It’s a scary gamble but an incredibly tempting and exciting one, so the dichotomy of that is what we tried to put into the song. You have a history of making vibrant, high-energy, and lively pop bangers like "Friends". Can you tell our listeners about your songwriting experiences with other artists? I love writing for pitches and other artists because I find it to be more freeing for me. When I write for myself, I tend to filter myself more, which makes it a slower process because I need to make sure it’s something I would say and reflects my sound and my brand. Writing for others is much less subjective, and I find my ideas flow more freely and quickly because I’m taking myself out of the equation. I love to do both; it’s just the process is different. What's next for you? One thing I didn’t get to do when I released my EP is to perform it live because it came out when everything was shut down in quarantine, and there were no live shows. Now that everything is in full swing, I’m excited to be doing shows and performing all my music live on stage. Streaming music is one thing, but seeing people’s faces while you sing the lyrics to them in person is how music is meant to be experienced by me. Instagram

  • BOSCO Is Keeping Traditions Alive In "Lady Laces"

Multi-instrumentalist and experienced singer-songwriter BOSCO never fails to inspire the listener. He hopes to instill a passion for exploring the arts and building relationships with artists through his recent music video for "Lady Laces." BOSCO knew he was destined for a music career since the tender age of 5. Growing up listening to Johnny Cash and The Beach Boys, BOSCO's songwriting career quickly flourished. He's mastered the creative process from start to finish and knows precisely how to grab the listener's attention with tasteful rock instrumentals and catchy hooks. More recently, BOSCO released his new music video for "Lady Laces," a tribute to his love for music and appreciation for the vinyl experience he grew up with. Although often overlooked in today's music scene, BOSCO showcases the importance of physical music and the accompanying experience in the song's new clip. The visual for "Lady Laces" opens with BOSCO rummaging through old records, prompting him to text who we think is Lady Laces. While he sends her on a mission to go retrieve the record that's been stuck in his head, things don't quite go as planned. As a record thief (maybe Lady Laces) grabs a knife and demands a record from the store, she swiftly escapes with some peering eyes on her. Two kids appear, who happens to be the executive producer Jared Sagal's son and his friend. They tear up the town chasing down this record, only to drop the needle in the middle of a Manchester alley and enjoy the freedom of music. The song is a magnetizing rock anthem, and the video takes the concept of music appreciation to another level. Find BOSCO's new music video for "Lady Laces" on YouTube and the single on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, BOSCO. Congratulations on releasing your new music video for "Lady Laces." What inspired you to create the song itself, a song about your music appreciation? Hello! Peace, love, and salutations to all of the kind folks at BuzzMusic! Music inspired me to create "Lady Laces." Music is the binding force of us all. A universal language. A place of peace, excitement, danger, and whatever else you can imagine and still be home in time for dinner. Could you break down the concept for the "Lady Laces" music video? "Lady Laces" is the record thief. Records have laces of music on them. It is almost a romance between the record collector and the thief, but the focus is getting that first copy of a record at any cost it goes awry and ultimately ends up in the hands of the best ears to have it. Sort of a message to show young music lovers that vinyl is where it’s at. What inspired such conceptual scenes of Ms. Lady Laces, who may also be a record thief? Jared Sagal was the mastermind behind the conceptual scenes. My only request was that me; music is beautiful. "Lady Laces" should echo that sentiment but also possess the mystery and sultriness of a good record thief. I was quite happy with his choices, and I hope those involved all go on to reach their goals and accomplish their dreams. What was your experience working alongside executive producer Jared Sagal for the "Lady Laces" music video? How did he help bring your vision to life? I always give Jared a free creative license from the start. He may bounce a few ideas around with me, but I try to leave the visuals to him as much as possible. We’ve been working together for a few years now. It no longer works. It is an incredible journey every time, and Jared puts 190 percent into everything. What do you hope viewers take away from the "Lady Laces" single and music video? I want them to go to a record store. Shop a little bit. How do you want to impact them? I want them to buy a record. Any record. Enjoy the album. Hold it in their hands. Read the lyrics. Imagine their own story. Make it their own. What's next for you? More music! I’ve also started acting on the set of 1923 and some of the up-and-coming Kevin Costner films. If you love music, embrace it. I’ve played guitar since I was five years old. There were ups and downs constantly. But it is the vehicle to take you where you need to be. “You might not always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need" - Mick Jagger. I hope to pass that along to just one person, and I’ll be happy. Artist Website Facebook

  • Experience The Chilling Sonic World Of Christina Ward's Beautiful New Album, 'Calendar'

Hailing from New Jersey, singer-songwriter and electronic-infused psychedelic folk recording artist Christina Ward brings listeners through a surreal and emotional soundscape with her latest single, "Tonight," from her debut LP, Calendar. Christina Ward has a knack for writing songs that inspire feelings of nostalgia and renewal. She's been active in the Jersey City music scene for the past 20 years, having released a string of one-off singles since 2000. With two EPs under her belt, Rent, and Humans, Christina Ward is gearing up to release her debut LP, Calendar, on October 21. Now, Ward introduces listeners to the second lead single from the album, entitled "Tonight." Most of the project was written and recorded when she was going through a divorce, "which made me recall all the times in my life that I've had to restart from scratch," says Ward. These recollections bring us to the single "Tonight," an introspective piece that looks at the highs and lows of love and navigating through rocky roads. Diving deeper into the new single, "Tonight," we're sonically greeted with buzzy and faint background synths that drift into a delay-drenched acoustic guitar alongside Ward's softspoken and soothing vocals. While expressing present situations and feeling brave in someone's arms, there are senses and lingering feelings that this isn't the happiest relationship. Christina Ward's deeply emotional lyrics grab the listener and shake them to the core with relatable thoughts, realizations, and love words. It's a hypnotic song with earworm melodies and the smoothest instrumentals alongside spaced-out production to make for a dynamic listening experience. This entire song feels like losing yourself in a comforting daydream. Treat your ears to the sonic gift they deserve with Christina Ward's new single, "Tonight," off her upcoming debut album, Calendar. Find the new song on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Christina Ward, and congratulations on your latest release, "Tonight." New Jersey's music scene is legendary. So many amazing acts have emerged over the years. What does your home state mean to you, and do you find unique inspiration in your lively community? There is so much great music in the town I'm staying in now. I spend time in a few places at the moment, but the local music scene here and in Philly is amazing. I find inspiration in the community and the musicians around me - I feel very fortunate! Tell us about your new LP, Calendar. It's your first full-length, right? How do these songs differ from previous releases, and how do you see it fitting into your overall catalog? This is my first full-length. I'm into experimenting with production and different sounds. There is a similar vibe, but I think everything I record differs. I like to try out different ideas and not be too concerned with whether they will fit in with previous recordings. I'm sure they will continue to evolve! It's well known that songwriters tend to find real catharsis in making their art. You dig into some heavy personal subject matter on the new record. Do you find it healing to unpack things you've gone through with your music? It's cathartic. It's a way of processing past events, traumatic or otherwise. There is a lot of heavy subject matter. I think it's important to be open about subjects like mental illness or sexual assault; I spent a lot of my life trying to hide these things. Writing is an opportunity to be transparent about them. We'd love to know some of your all-time favorite albums that have helped shape your approach to songwriting... what are a few that you find yourself revisiting year after year? Led Zeppelin III, Cat Power - You Are Free, Pixies - Debaser, Sonic Youth - Dirty, Iron and Wine - The Creek Drank the Cradle, Lomelda - Hannah... I could keep going forever, haha. What would you say is the most rewarding part about sharing your art with your fans? What do you hope they take away from the new album? Music is such an amazing way to connect with people. I feel grateful to be able to do that. I hope that whoever listens can find their own meaning in it... Instagram

The reverbed electric guitar and plucky, haunting bass licks bring us deep into this melting pot of Americana meet modern dark bedroom pop. The hazy hook leaves us in a dreamy daze, especially as Lorvida's softspoken poetry flows through the speakers with words that discuss the difficulty of finding your purpose on this planet. It's a deeply melodic piece that features various instruments, from organ and twangy guitars to an oozing bassline and dynamic percussion. We're sure any listener will appreciate the wickedly conceptual and dynamic soundscape Cruel Billie and Lorvida blesses us with their new sisterly single, "Fein," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Cruel Billie. We're head over heels for your haunting and conceptual new single, "Fein." Were there any particular moments or experiences that inspired this personal piece? Hi! Thank you so much; we are excited to finally have "Fein" out. I remember I wrote "Fein" one morning before work. I had been looking out a window at the sky, wishing I could do just that all day. I wrote it with my acoustic guitar and sang whatever came to mind as I played. I ended up being late for work that day, haha. Sometime later, I played "Fein" for my sister, and she then shared a beautiful poem she had written that felt like a solution to my angsty lyrics. We always tend to be on similar wavelengths in one way or another. We decided to join the two. It was a lot of fun. Did you have any musical or artistic influences when creating the sound and vibe of "Fein"? Who or what might have impacted this song? As I was writing, I kept picturing a desert scene, someone on the prowl- searching for something and maybe a little lost. Lorvida's part felt very lush and ethereal. We wanted it to feel that you stumble upon a little haven of paradise through this desert-prowl-fever-dream. Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood meet Molly Lewis. What was your experience creating "Fein" alongside your twin sister Lorvida? Was this your first time working on a song together? Lorvida and I used to write as kids but never together! So this was our first time combining our pieces of work and our first time recording in a studio together. I had worked with Riley Geare before, who produced my last EP and had a great experience, so I was excited to bring Lorvida along this time for "Fein." We had so much fun, and it lit a fire in us to keep creating. How did you want "Fein" to make listeners feel? Did you want them to realize or take anything specific away from your personal lyrics? I think "Fein" is a song everyone can relate to in one way or another, especially considering the last couple of years! We hope it might validate frustrations and give some peace through that hazy mirage that life can be. And all while dancing, of course. Thanks, BuzzMusic! CruelBillie Instagram Lorvida Instagram
