San Diego's very own prolific singer-songwriter and composer of life experiences, Jennifer Klein, reminds us that "It's Gonna Be Okay" with her latest hopeful single. Jennifer Klein's music is nourishment for the heart and soul. Her authentic and soulful lyrics, paired with her broad vocal range and soothing instrumentals, never fail to resonate with listeners. She's able to form a solid connection with listeners spanning multiple generations. Jennifer Klein's music career started years ago in Nashville with the release of three full-length albums, not to mention her two records in 2019, Looking for Comfort and Lean into Joy. With a new album on the way, Klein is satisfying our sonic cravings in the meantime with her warm embrace of a single, "It's Gonna Be Okay." The new song gently opens with bright acoustic guitar melodies alongside expansive background strings to make for quite the cinematic introduction. Jennifer Klein adds to the experience with her captivating vocals that treat the ears to relatable lyrics about life's many pressures, trials, and tribulations. As Jennifer Klein leads us to the soothing hook, she reminds us that this pain is only temporary and, of course, "It's Gonna Be Okay." She has no problem tugging on our heartstrings with such honest lyrics that examine life's low points but strive to come out on top. It's truly a refreshing and inspirational listening experience that any listener can appreciate. Nourish the heart and soul with a sweet serving of Jennifer Klein and her latest compelling single, "It's Gonna Be Okay," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Jennifer Klein. You've truly moved us with the release of your stunning new single, "It's Gonna Be Okay." What inspired you to write about moving past life's low points and keeping the faith? I wrote this song during the COVID lockdown. It was such an uncertain time for everyone, and it was almost as if the song was being sung to me as I wrote it. The words poured out, and I just let them flow. It was a special experience and taught me how to let go more in my songwriting. Were there any personal challenges or obstacles you faced when creating "It's Gonna Be Okay?” What was the most difficult part of the experience? It was just a completely different environment in every way during this time. I was coming to terms with personal relationships that I had been able to avoid looking at, and being home without the normal distractions forced me to go inward. This was scary but actually ended up being a huge gift ultimately. I was also so fearful and sad for everyone. Witnessing people losing loved ones was difficult, and I believe created a sort of overall bond with each other. I think “It’s Gonna Be Okay” is a simple message that almost everyone needed to hear during that time, and actually, we need to hear it many times throughout our lives. Did you collaborate with any producers, songwriters, or musicians when creating "It's Gonna Be Okay?” What was that behind-the-scenes process like? I did not collaborate in writing this song. For me, writing songs is extremely vulnerable, so I like to write on my own when it comes naturally. I write all of my songs on my acoustic guitar, and then if I like it and feel it’s complete, I record it on my phone and then send it to my producer to listen to. It’s a little scary sending it, for sure! I love working with a producer that can take my song to the next level and add their personality/talent/expertise to it. It’s amazing! I have been working with Colin Althaus for a couple of years. I completely trust him, and I am so grateful that he produced this song and some of my recent releases. Why is it important for you to create songs like "It's Gonna Be Okay" that inspire the listener and nourish their heart and soul? As I mentioned earlier, songwriting is a very personal process for me. My songs come from an organic, genuine place that I cannot force. I just have to let it happen. I don’t write with any expectations or specific intentions; it just feels like the most authentic way of expressing myself. It also feels unbelievable and satisfying after I finish writing a song, almost like a small miracle. I do love performing, but I am most thankful for how it feels when I write songs. For me, it’s easier to communicate that way. I do hope that people can relate to my songs, but I try not to think about that. I write them and then share them, and then I let go completely. What's next for you? My next single is “All That Mattered” (date TBD). This song was written with a broken heart, and you definitely can hear that. I think this is a song that almost everyone can relate to…..how at the beginning of a relationship, we see only the good in the other person. Then as time goes by, we start to forget, and before we know it, we aren’t seeing that beautiful person anymore. This song is about, hopefully, remembering and then making a choice to see the good again. Instagram Facebook

Could you drop some hints about the new project? The EP was thought out as a movie soundtrack. When listening to all the songs off the EP, “Hurricane” felt like such an opening song. “Hurricane” really sets the tone for what’s to come. We've got a new tune for your life's soundtrack, none other than Lyncs's "miss u." Find the new single on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Lyncs. What was your source of inspiration behind such a passionate and feel-good single like "miss u?" What led you to create this piece? Thanks for having me! I started writing “miss u” when I first moved to LA and was away from my childhood best friend. We’ve known each other since the 4th grade, and it really hit me how I won’t be able to see her again in the same way. We used to go on these drives after school with a destination to nowhere and just fantasize about life in the future. I wrote the song as an ode to those moments that, if I could go back and tell myself to cherish, I would have. Sometimes the simplest moments are the most magical. What was your experience working alongside producer Keith Varon for "miss u?" How did he help execute your ideas and visions? Working with Keith is always a treasure. He’s an incredible producer and really understands the vision I have for my music. Sometimes it even feels like he’s in my head, pulling the sounds from the record spinning in my mind. Our process is pretty much the same every time - I come into the studio with the song pretty much written and produced, and we’ll sit and listen. With “miss u,” we didn’t change any of the lyrics or structure from the demo, but the elements Keith added and the energy really are what I think makes the song shine. What was your favorite part about creating this lush new single, "miss u"? Was it fun to be so open and passionate when creating it? I really wanted to go in a new direction with this track - darker, spacier, moodier, with more power and energy. I always love the process of finding those opening lyrics, and for “miss u,” it just wrote itself. Once it was written, I had a BLAST getting to compose more of the parts, like the guitar lead and the harmonies. I think being open about what you’re hearing with a writing and production partner is SO important. Keith and I definitely hear a lot of the same things when it comes to “what’s next,” and being able to discuss changes and direction openly and honestly makes for a great environment to be creative in. Could you tell us more about your upcoming EP, I Already Know The End? Should we expect to see "miss u" on the tracklist? Haha. I definitely can’t give too much away, but I’m beyond excited about this release. It’s the best music I’ve ever written, and I’m entering a new era of sound and discovery. If you enjoyed “miss u,” it's just scratching the surface as the opening track. What's next for you? So much is next! I’m releasing a new EP in the new year titled “I Already Know The Ending.” I had to take a hiatus at the start of 2022, so I’m eager to release these next songs and play shows again once I’m recovered. I was in a snowboarding accident that amputated my left thumb. It’s healed now, but I’m excited to play shows again and connect with fans again in person. Instagram Facebook

You know the memes that describe the emotion an artist put into a song, and we're just over here grooving? That's our experience with Trade Stevens's new hit, "Talk 2 Me." It's a deeply emotional song that hits in all the right places and can't help but make you bust a few groovy moves along the way. Expanding on "Talk 2 Me," Trade Stevens dives into the song with lyrics that beg and plead for someone to quit talking to him in a destructive way. He wastes no time jumping into his lyrical content about someone cruel who he happens to be head over heels for. Trade Stevens's performance abilities in this song are truly captivating; he captures our attention effortlessly while inviting listeners to relate with his genuine and honest lyrics. Do yourself a favor and dive headfirst into the emotion, passion, and irresistible groove of Trade Stevens's new single, "Talk 2 Me," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Trade Stevens. We adore what you brought to the table in your newest single, "Talk 2 Me." What relationship experiences inspired you to create such a personal song like this? My songs are expressions of what I hear, listen to, am told, witness, and have overall life experiences. "Talk 2 Me" is an extension of many of the just mentioned. Relationships are about communication and how we relate to one another. "Talk 2 Me," asks a question we have asked ourselves and others at least once in our life. What did your songwriting process look like for "Talk 2 Me?" Are you used to being so vulnerable when writing more emotional songs like this? As a singer/writer/producer/performer, being vulnerable is part of the job. By nature, I am a sensitive person, and that sensitivity extends to my music and other areas of my life. "Talk 2 Me" was originally a mournful ballad. I sang the chorus into my phone for safekeeping. The chorus was inspired by a conversation I overheard in a restaurant. The common phrase why do you “talk 2 me” like that was repeatedly said. It stuck with me. Why did you choose to keep the production and instrumentals so upbeat and groovy for "Talk 2 Me?" What or who might have influenced this irresistible sound? I owe a lot of the production and instrumentation to my production team (Clarence “T Lee” Hill and Will Preyer). They heard the song as more of a 90’s-2000ish type song but today. They wanted to speed it up and add more of a bounce with a repetitive hook (chorus). What was your favorite part about creating "Talk 2 Me?" What did you get out of creating this song? The recording process was quite fun as I had not recorded in some time. My producer knew I was quite nervous. On top of the just mentioned, I had surgery 3 days before I was to record “Talk 2 Me." My producer/engineer, Will Preyer, pushed me and helped craft my sound and overall arrangement of the song. The recording of Talk 2 Me restored my confidence in-studio singing and believing I still have something to offer the world. What's next for you? "Talk 2 Me" is my focus for the time being. The success of the song has been overwhelming, humbling, and exciting. I want to make sure more people hear the song! I've recorded more songs I hope to release in the very near future as well, possibly an EP. But it's one step at a time. Connect with Trade Stevens: Instagram Facebook

Feeling down and out? Allow Ative Evita to lift your spirits with her new single, "Doper," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, AtiveEvita. We're feeling a whole lot "Doper" after hearing your groovy new single. What inspired you to write this playful yet motivational song? Hello hello! First off, Gracias! Thank you guys so much for having me! I hope you feel as "Dope" as possible after listening to "Doper"! The biggest thing that inspired me to write & create "Doper" was self-love and self-reflection in a positive view. I wanted to create and give people something that made them feel good when they heard it about themselves. What was the main message or takeaway you wanted to give listeners in "Doper?" When you listen to "Doper" from beginning to end, I worked to create a vibe & song that allows the listener to grasp the feeling of self-love and feeling amazing. Feeling great in one's self, feeling dope! The main message of "Doper" is to believe in yourself, be proud of who you are, and know that no one is doper than you! Did you work with any producers to help achieve your sonic vision for the production on "Doper?" What sort of vibe did you have in mind for the song? With the name of the track being "Doper", the entire vibe of this song needed to be dope! Something everyone could nod their head to and vibe out not only to the lyrics but to the bass and ride with the piano throughout the song "Doper". It was recorded, mixed & mastered by Jason Anderson-Ebener at The Academy Recording Studio in Bastrop, Texas. I have worked with Jason before, and working together to bring "Doper" to its dopest was very easy and smooth. He was able to get the vision I had for the track very well and definitely played a part in the final product. How does "Doper" differ from your other releases? What makes this song stand out in your discography? "Doper" definitely differs in different aspects from my previous releases, and I think everything about it makes it stand out tremendously from the rest! My most recent releases like "Runnin" & " Daydreamer" are stories I wrote that felt best when expressed with a more Jazzy, Alternative Soul feel, wherewith "Doper," I'm stepping back into the Pop/HipHop feel with a more positive message. All my music carries a message and tells a story, and "Doper" is definitely the 1st of its kind for me. What can listeners anticipate to hear next from you? More Dope music! I am absolutely loving the response that "Doper" is getting. With my recent signing to the label, The College of Hip Hop Knowledge, listeners can expect more music that promotes positive self-love, but in both genres, Pop to Alternative Soul/Hip Hop, maybe even rap, hey! I might switch it up to Spanish! Definitely stay tuned! Instagram Facebook

An engaging, dreamy, and dynamic listening experience isn't so out of reach when you have The Black Karl's debut album, Six Elah. When you're ready to groove, find the new record on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, The Black Karl. Congratulations on releasing your jam-packed debut album, Six Elah. When did you first start feeling inspired to create this album? How long did it take to create? Thank you for having me. It’s unbelievable, but I started writing some songs in December 2019, so it basically took 3 years to get the project ready. Did you have a concept or theme that you wanted to bring forth with the album, Six Elah? What would you say the album is about? Honestly, I’ve always been pictured as a lover boy, which I have no problem with. But it comes with restrictions like people expect you to always write R&B or Pop songs about love or heartbreak (which are also in the album, lol). But I really wanted to touch every subject that personally matters to me. So I made it about everything. Love, Heartbreak, Family, Friendship… And genre-wise, I really showcase my versatility with obviously Pop, R&B, and some slow jam and trap. Did you have any artistic influences or projects in mind when creating Six Elah? Oh, yes, of course. For the artistic direction and the cohesion of the tracks, I was really inspired by the album Human by Brandy. The recording process is Ariana Grande inspired for most of the songs. For the delivery of the energy, the queen herself, Beyoncé. Production wise I always say it’s all Kanye. He’s a beast when it comes to producing tracks cause there’s always that element of surprise in his productions. So I really tried, haha. Now for the R&B vibes, it’s my boy Chris Brown. Which song from Six Elah stands out to you the most and why? Do you have a favorite song from the album? They’re all my babies, haha. But I’d say it depends on the day. But obviously, the stand-out tracks would be ‘Mister DJ’ & ‘Raja Debel’, cause they’re really different from what people do these days but still very ear-friendly. But ngl, ‘Savage’ and ‘Heartbeat’ really got me in a chokehold for a hot moment. On a more personal note, what do you stand for as an artist and want to represent? How do projects like Six Elah help you reach that? As an artist, I want to inspire. I want my people, the ones who listen to me, to know that they’re not alone; they’re allowed to feel, do pursue their dreams, and that difficulties of all kinds can’t stop them. We’re warriors over here! I’m pretty sure not everyone gets the lyricism of ‘Six Elah’ because most of those upbeat songs are actually really sad or inspired by sadness, and it really helped me overcome that. I also hope it helps whoever is out there. What's next for you? Currently filming some music videos for some of the songs, and I already have a Deluxe Version ready for very soon! Instagram

She passionately sings, "I choose to love not to hate," and how she's open to mending what broke in the past. It's an incredibly feel-good song that perfectly showcases Ella McCready's uplifting songwriting. Reaching the project's third track and the halfway point, "If It Wasn't For You," Ella McCready jumps into a more vibrant and energetic introduction with warm piano melodies and her spirited vocals. As we shift into the enthralling hook, the instrumentals glitter and gleam with all the passion Ella McCready sings with. It's another cheerful and passionate tune that helps listeners get to know a more personal side of the artist. Drifting into the EP's fourth track, "Unsaid," Ella McCready slows things down with her delicate piano melodies and breathy vocals that confess all-too-real scenarios. "I don't like the way he speaks to you around me, you can't see it, but I think you should know," she softly sings. This grippingly emotional song dissects toxic love cycles and all that's "Unsaid" but must be heard. It's a chilling experience, to say the least. Landing on the fifth and outro track, "What It's Worth," Ella McCready closes the project on a profoundly personal and genuine note. This anthemic and soothing single is a song about songwriting. Ella McCready discusses the courage and vulnerability needed to share her art with the world and subject herself to other people's opinions. It's a perfect project closer that sums up all the emotion and personal experiences Ella McCready delivered throughout the entire EP. Don't you love it when an artist offers up their soul in each release? Experience hurt, contentment, powerlessness, gratitude, and self-love all within Ella McCready's debut 5-track EP, Breathe, now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Ella McCready. We're deeply impressed with the vulnerability and emotion you've brought to your debut EP, 'Breathe.' When did you begin creating songs for this project? How long did it take you to perfect it? I started creating the EP in December 2021. I had wanted to do a bigger project for some time and organized a writing session with pianist Jacob Stoney just to see what we came up with and have a play around with musical ideas with somebody new. After 6 hours in a room together, we came out with 'Unsaid' as an already-finished song. At that point, I knew that we should write the whole EP together, and 9 months later, here we are! What inspired you to get back to your musical routes and escape upbeat pop with your debut EP, 'Breathe?' I really enjoyed writing upbeat 'dance pop' and actually found it quite an easy genre to write in - the lyrics and melodies fell out of me very quickly. However, first and foremost, I'm a performer. There is absolutely nothing I love more than being on stage and sharing music with people, and when it comes to my style of performance, dance-pop just isn't it. I want to be on stage with a live band creating an amazing atmosphere with nothing but my vocals and personality - I've never been any good at dancing around to tracks, which at this stage in my career is what I would have been doing. So I modified my style based on the kind of songs I want to perform rather than the songs I find easy to write. What was the most challenging song to create in terms of emotion and vulnerability in Breathe? Which song was the most personal to you? 'I Choose You' was definitely the toughest. It was written during a very emotional time after a very difficult breakup, and I went into the studio that day with a decision to make - I didn't know whether to forgive the person who'd broken my heart and give him another chance or if I should just move on. So when I started writing the song, I really didn't know where it would go or what it would end up saying. I'm very glad it turned out to be the positive and uplifting song it is because I am still very happy with my decision to give that person a second chance, and it was an amazing experience to sing it to him live at my EP launch. What did your typical songwriting process look like for the songs in Breathe? What helped you transmute your thoughts into cohesive lyrics? Generally speaking, we started with a sound - Jacob has all sorts of instruments and software at his disposal, so often, we built soundscapes and then created a song from there. At one point, I was hitting a beanbag chair to add to a percussion section before I even knew what I was writing about that day! Once we had a general 'vibe' or feel for the track through these soundscapes, I often started with melody rather than lyrics. I'd have an idea of what I wanted the subject matter to be but would then build the sound and melodic shape first and create lyrics around that. What sort of experience did you want to create for listeners when making Breathe? What did you want the project to offer them? Breathe is very much a labor of love, and I want that to come across. It's taken a hell of a lot of vulnerability to put this out there, and I suppose that's what I'd like listeners to take from it - this is a message from my heart to yours, and it's so rewarding to open yourself up to people. Be open to love, be open to kindness, and most importantly, Breathe. You've got this. Instagram Facebook

Welcome to BuzzMusic, Lucid Kidd. Your new single, "Smooth Sailing," is truly a vibe and a half. What inspired you to create this passionate and hard-hitting track? Hello, thank you for having me. The last 3 singles released were really just telling a story about personal growth. The first song showed the emotions of being lost and lonely, the second showed realization, third included the love concept. As a 4th single smooth sailing is a song about acceptance of life not being always fair; therefore, when excepting the factor, the wavy and stormy 7 seas become smooth. What was your favorite part about creating "Smooth Sailing?" Were there any specific moments or experiences that stood out to you? I just loved the vibe in the room when that song was a work in progress. It was truly some pure good energy going with the flow, which can be clearly seen in the song because the vibe/mood in the room reflects the song's energy. Also, I loved shooting the video because it was throwing many creative and random ideas into one video, making it pretty original. What was your vision for "Smooth Sailing?" What sort of vibe or experience did you want the song to offer? First, I really want people to be able to feel and vibe with this song. I also really want listeners to understand how life really offers you way more when u do less planning/thinking and more going with the flow. When you go with the flow, you accept the fact that not everything always will go your way, which will make even the stormiest seas smoother. As a "Kidd" yourself, do you have any words of advice for other young artists looking to make waves in the music scene? What has helped you get to this point? Well, there are a lot of tips that might help, but a few very important is, creating a creative working space. That could be achieved by making it cozy or working with some cool friends which inspire you. Another tip is don't wait for some big wave of inspiration to just hit you. Instead, apply some discipline that will evoke creativity and allow you to progress faster. Instagram Twitter
