How did this record come about, and what're the situations you speak about in your real life? Thanks for having me. The inspiration behind "Ride 4 Me" was based on the idea that there are still ride-or-die women in this world who will love you for who you are and show you that it's ok to let go of the past and trust again. Yes, my music is always based on real-life situations. "Ride 4 Me" brings so many relatable situations to light for people. What do you want people to know about this record? I want people to know that despite the chaos in the world and how people portray relationships these days, there are still women out there who will be there for you through the storm. You speak about trust and love in this record. What advice would you give people on how to look and recognize when their significant other loves them and accepts them as they are? My advice to others would be to take the time out to love yourself first, acknowledge red flags, and never settle for less. If your significant other provides you with peace, accepts your flaws, and embraces who you are, you'll know that they love you. • Parisa Bilal Reaches Out in “Abandoned”

From Islamabad to Los Angeles, singer-songwriter and performer Parisa Bilal shares an emotional anthem with her latest sincere single, "Abandoned." With each release, Parisa Bilal forms a deeper connection with her listeners. Her velvety vocals and contemporary instrumentals/production share bits of modern pop but with a composed adult contemporary feel. It's clear Parisa Bilal makes music as a form of self-expression; each release is more vulnerable and compelling than the last. That statement rings true when it comes down to Parisa Bilal's latest single, "Abandoned," perhaps the most emotional song of her discography. She breaks down every wall to express those bottled-up emotions while trying to keep them together for the sake of her loved ones. The song is simply a page ripped out of Parisa Bilal's diary. Expanding on the new single, "Abandoned," the experience opens with Parisa Bilal's emotional vocals alongside melancholy piano melodies that dance in the background. Listening to Parisa's honest lyrics, she expresses those turbulent emotions that come with feeling "Abandoned" and coming to terms with the cold hard truth. Parisa Bilal uses the hook to dive even deeper into those emotions, singing about needing a reason to keep going and pick herself back up. As we move forward, Parisa Bilal lets us know that she wrote the song for the world to know her story, something millions of others can relate with. A compelling and dynamic song like this moves mountains, maybe not for you, but for someone battling through their issues with silence. When you're in need of something your mind and heart can relate to, we'd point you toward Parisa Bilal's latest single, "Abandoned," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Parisa. We feel that emotion and strife you've put into your latest single, Abandoned. What inspired this vulnerable and heartfelt piece? "Abandoned" is the story of my life; the secret about my life is what inspired this vulnerability. I recorded this song in hopes of finding closure, but that is going to take time, and who knows, maybe I might never even get closure from it. Just that thought of putting my story out there is kind of a relief to me, and I hope there are people out there who can connect to my song. Is this song about your biological mother or someone special in your life? This song is especially for my mom, she is very much like a biological mother. As mentioned in my song, “I was left to die when I was born. This is a secret never told.” At the age of sixteen, I found out from a third person that I’m adopted. I had never known this; it was always a “secret never told.” My mom adopted me, and she never made me feel like I was adopted. Even my entire family never made me feel like I’m not there. I am very blessed to be who I am today because of my mom and very blessed to have such a loving family. We feel we know the answer, but who is the most influential person in your life? You got that correct! My mother is the most influential person in my life. She raised me, took care of me, and supported me all on her own. She has always been like a father to me and also to my mother, and I am very lucky to have her in my life. Would you say that consuming or creating music has been more therapeutic in your version of life's journey? Well, I just started creating my own music, to be honest. I’ve been singing my entire life, and I never knew how to write a song. When the pandemic hit towards the end of December 2020 is when it just clicked one night in my sleep. I started to get words in my mind along with the tune, so I would wake up in the middle of the night, no matter what time it was, and open the voice notes app and record the lyrics along with the tune. When I would wake up the next morning, I would have one completed song. But yes, ever since I started writing, I am happy for the fact that I can finally be able to put my feelings out there in my songs and share my thoughts with the world. What's next for you? I am in the middle of trying to complete some of the songs which I have written down, and hopefully will be releasing another song soon. Rest; only time will tell. I’m hoping for the best and looking forward to what’s yet to come. Instagram

  • Andy & Eddie Okoro Bring the Heat in Their Sophomore Album, “The Count”

Ottawa-based twin brothers and recording artists Andy & Eddie Okoro pair up for their sophomore studio album entitled, The Count. The twin brothers first came together to create music in 2018, writing, recording and producing their own original hip-hop tracks. It wasn't until 2019 that they released their debut album, Undeniable. Andy & Eddie have generated loyal listeners through therapeutic and fun tracks that discuss real-life experiences. They continue that theme in their dynamic sophomore album, The Count. The album opens with the mysterious and heavy introductory track, "Cheese," plucking through our speakers with dark and melodic guitar samples that lead into a low and intense hip-hop beat. Both Andy & Eddie bring the heat while discussing the perpetual grind, all to make that precious "Cheese" and level up to live the life they desire. Jumping into a similar intense atmosphere with track number two, "Buzz," Andy & Eddie hit us with all the melodic yet introspective bars to balance out the listening experience. The overall hazy and heavy atmosphere is reminiscent of 88Glam, but with Andy & Eddie's own authentic flair. It's quite the toe-tapper that brings us deep into the fierce underbelly of modern hip-hop. Andy & Eddie ramp up the energy in the third track, "What We Do," which bumps through our speakers on a brighter, exciting note that leaves us locked into their rhythmic bars. The atmospheric and vibrant production delivers all the heat and groove of modern hip-hop, paired with two stellar artists that dance between contemporary hip-hop and r&b. It's a lively song of celebration, helping us seize each day and make it a movie. Drifting into a more introspective experience with track number four, "Desjardins," the song opens with plucky and thick synths alongside punchy drums and Andy & Eddie's silky smooth bars. The mid-tempo sonics bring a certain reflective atmosphere to the song, while Andy & Eddie spit their composed bars about keeping that income flowing. Pumping up the groove is the fifth track, "Show Time," opening with heavy piano keys alongside tight drums that pounce over the track with authority. Listening to both artists' cut-throat bars, they waste no time in letting us bop our heads to their rhythmic flow and undeniable talent. This track is a thick treat for the ears that lets you enjoy Andy & Eddie's attention-commanding performance stylings from top to bottom. On the album's sixth track and the halfway mark, "Timing," Andy & Eddie slow things down a bit with a tender and melodic atmosphere that drifts into a dreamy hip-hop beat. It's an ear-pleasing and smooth-sailing track that sees Andy & Eddie reflect on what's brought them to their successful status and the key differences they bring to the table apart from other up-and-comers. Onto the album's second half with the seventh track, "S25," the smooth and dreamy sonics melt open while seamlessly transitioning into a punchy hip-hop atmosphere. Andy & Eddie bring forth their reflective and relatable bars once more to bring the experience to a well-rounded and compelling note that lets us kick back, chill out, and experience the connection Andy & Eddie naturally make with listeners. The album's eighth track, "Moves," gently moves through our speakers with somber guitar samples that leap into a downtempo hip-hop scorcher. Andy & Eddie's captivating back and forth deliver a purely dynamic listening experience; they have no problem making each moment worthwhile. This track is another prime example of how easy Andy & Eddie can paint such vivid scenes and bring the listener into a whole other world. Andy & Eddie want to know if you're "Brave" on track number nine. The fluttery sonics later jump into a lullaby hip-hop experience with crisp drums and an overall lush vibe. Andy & Eddie dive headfirst into their bars while discussing their everlasting hustle and keeping their head up when life's trials and tribulations arise. It's one of the album's more inspirational tracks that leave us excited to grind it out. Andy & Eddie bring the temperature down a notch in track number ten, "Cold," chilling us with a thick hip-hop arrangement alongside Andy & Eddie's dense and rhythmic bars. This heavy-hitting track might be "Cold" and packed with drippy ice, but Andy & Eddie set our speakers ablaze with their natural authority and confident bars that make complex hip-hop look easy. They continue blasting out of this atmosphere with upbeat and fiery tracks like the album's eleventh, "I Like It," alongside featured artist D'mani. It's a rich and exciting track that's perfect for any summer jam; the tropical and vibrant sonics paired with Andy & Eddie's rich flow is to die for. D'mani brings the heat in his verse while hitting us with all the energy and playfulness we could ask for. Landing on the album's twelfth and final track, "Call Us," we're met with more of a reflective and emotional sonic atmosphere alongside Andy & Eddie's smooth-sailing bars. They use this song to display their everlasting loyalty to those closest to them while drifting through the song with the utmost confidence and composure. It's a feel-good and genuine listening experience that closes the album on a personal note. When you're ready to experience what modern-day hip-hop has in store, check out the dynamic and jam-packed album, The Count, from Ottawa-based hip-hop artists Andy and Eddie Okoro, now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Andy & Eddie. We adore the dynamic and engaging vibe you've delivered in your sophomore album, The Count. When did you begin executing ideas for the album and creating it? How long was the album in the making? Ideas began to flow for the album in February 2020, but we officially started to create pieces for the album in 2021. Basically, the album was about a year and 7 months in the making. Were there any particular moments or experiences that inspired you to create The Count? Coming off our first album, 'Undeniable', which was more on the emotional side, we took some time off and naturally got into a fun/upbeat space which inspired the feel for the new album. It originally started with recording a song called "Underground" that was never released anywhere except SoundCloud, but this sparked the initial ideas for the album. What was your duo's creative process like when formulating your tracks for The Count? Because you're brothers, is there unspoken musical chemistry between the two of you? Generally like to mix things up and keep them interesting from a creative standpoint to avoid feelings of repetition/boredom. We tend to leave an open room for each other to create and find a middle ground for the piece to take form. Yes, considering that we are brothers and twins, to be specific, there is definitely unspoken chemistry between us which is very evident in the music. Which song from The Count are you most proud of and why? We wouldn't say that we are particularly proud of any song on the album, but one piece we are especially happy with is the first song, "Cheese." This song would not have made the album because we almost lost the files, and it was a real struggle to retrieve them. Also, it was the perfect song to set the tone of the album, and without it, the album might not have had the desired sequencing. If there was one message or realization that listeners could take away from The Count, what would you want that to be? If there is one message that we would want listeners to take away from this album, it would be this: "It is perfectly okay to be yourself and do things in your own way. Enjoy what you do and keep the people important to you close." What's next for you? We really want to know and build a genuine connection with our potential fans. So our next steps would be performing, sustained promotion of the project, engaging with our listeners on an intimate level, and making more music! Instagram Twitter

First, thank you for having me BuzzMusic. Some of my musical influences are James Brown, Diamond Platnumz, Yemi Alade, Usher, Ne-Yo, and many more. What's it like growing up as a Liberian -American artist? Growing up as a Liberian-American artist is beautiful because I have the opportunity to experience both cultures and be inspired by them. What's the best advice you've ever been given about making music? The best advice I have received is to be true to myself. This means being authentic to my work, my art, and to the message in my music. And not allowing negative things in my space. What do you hope people take away from your music? My hope is for people to be inspired by my music. I want them to have a feeling of self-confidence and for them to feel better about who they are and where they are from. I want them to know that it is ok to get in your Boss mode and speak what is on your mind without them feeling that they are being too narcissistic. Throughout my life, I was taught to speak my mind and be bold, and know there is power within the writing. Now I can write songs and create music that will uplift others and myself through Afrobeats and Bongo Flava and be an inspiration to others. What's next for you? Next for me are live performances and creating more music with my team Lake Village Music, LLC., focusing on my fans and rebuilding my brand here in the United States and other countries. Get feverish as Emilia sings about her love and experiences in her new single "Paradise," now available on all digital streaming platforms. A warm welcome to BuzzMusic, Emilia; we are happy to have you join us. We love your new record, "Paradise." Please tell us how the song came about and what the creative process was like for it? I found this beat through a company called Pacific Beats, and I really connected with the production and overall feel of the song. The production and instrumentation automatically made me think of summer and the feeling you get when you're starting to develop feelings for someone. The lyrics and melody instantly came over to me for the verses and the pre-chorus. However, I struggled to find a strong hook melody for the chorus. I went to Toronto with my dad to collaborate with singer/songwriter, Témi, who inspires me with his amazing and catchy melodies. Once I showed him what I had written, he came up with a melody for the chorus that I fell in love with. When Témi and I were trying to write the lyrics, my dad came up with the title 'Paradise.' When I heard him say that title, it just clicked, and the lyrics started flowing out for Témi and me. I also got to work on this song with fellow Berklee College of Music students and alumni. I showed Berklee artists ZKJade and HILLOC, who helped me tweak some of the lyrics and melody to perfect the track. Alexander Ammons mixed the track, and Abram Lembono mastered the song, which pulled everything together. I am so grateful to work with amazing musicians who are passionate about my music and willing to work on this project with me. I'm lucky to be surrounded by people who motivate and support me daily. We can hear this song is very personal to you. What did you want your listeners to take away from "Paradise," and why? Paradise is about the beginning stages of falling in love and enjoying all those special moments with that person. When I wrote this song, I thought about my current boyfriend and how exciting our first few dates were. I think the dating scene is scary and challenging because you have to put yourself out there and take a chance on someone. There's no guarantee it will work out, but I think it feels easy and fun when it's the right person. I think this song gives listeners hope that they will find that person who makes them feel happy and loved, enjoying their own time in 'Paradise' together. Emilia, you come from a very musical background; how has it helped you develop into the artist you now are? I started off being classically trained vocally at the age of 7, and I think it set a technically good foundation for me in singing different songs. I also grew up listening to other genres like Pop, R&B, Jazz, and so many others, which made me more open-minded when listening to new music. When I went to Berklee College of Music, I met terrific singers who could easily transition from different styles of music and music professors who taught us how to sing properly in these styles. Listening to different genres has helped me improve my singing and songwriting skills, which has helped me become the versatile artist I am today. We love your journey and can't wait for you to continue to achieve greatness! What advice can you give to artists younger than you starting to create music? The biggest advice I would give to a younger artist creating music would be never to give up and to never let life's obstacles from stopping your dreams. I've made mistakes where I've allowed situations in my life to hold me back from continuing with music. I've learned to channel my sadness into my music which has helped me heal and move on from whatever I was going through. I believe if you can take your pain and make an art out of it, you can create something beautiful that can be relatable and comfort other listeners going through the same experiences. What's next for you? I plan on releasing more original music this year, and I'm in the process of working on my first EP. I will release more covers from some of my favorite artists on my social media channels and perform at gigs in Toronto. I can't wait for you all to see what I've been working on! Instagram Facebook

  • Marxoxo Has Us All Feeling, “Euphoric”

Marxoxo is an independent artist who has been taking over the hyper-pop scene. She has conveyed her emotions in her new track “Euphoria,” expressing her fun lyrics and upbeat tone and feelings of euphoria overall. Marxoxo’s writing style pulls inspiration from personal drama, dreams, and diaries, she is a combination of the hyper pop of Charli XCX and the innocence of Britney Spears. She is independent, so has no label as of yet, and seems to be flourishing. She is a sought-after fixture in LGTBQ, hyper pop, and alternative scenes, has been featured on indie blogs, TIDAL’s editorial We Are Everywhere playlist, Grindr's New Music Friday playlist, Charli XCX's "Charli" live tour, and recently performed at Sacramento Pride! In 2020, Mar was writing “Euphoria” with her producer OHEY, while listening on constant repeat to “Flowers” by Sweet Female Attitude, taking inspiration from it and quotes, “I loved how carefree it was and how the arrangement brought the vocals to soaring highs, so I carried that spirit with me going into it.” To give an overview of what she feels “Euphoria” is about, Mar quotes, “Pride Month is coming to a close but pride is year-round! As a trans girl living in cisnormative patriarchy, living with pride and her head held high every day is a necessity. “I want everyone to feel and fuel that energy within themselves, then nurture and celebrate it in each other. It'd be a shame to let the love run dry come July.” The atmosphere of this track is fun and contagious, having that euphoric sentiment emanating from beginning to end. A very fun and edgy song, with the hyper pop beat to back it up. Lyrics with deep meaning to Marxoxo, she really wanted to fuse and capture the meaning of Euphoria in her music. We'd say she slayed it. This is a fun listen, definitely gives those Euphoric vibes, and this is easy on the ears and could definitely be a nightlife track played on repeat in certain clubs all around the world. It has her raw emotions captured in the lyrics, standing for her cause and displaying her vocal ability over upbeat tracks on this latest hit. Unleash the “Euphoria” in your life and give Marxoxo’s newest track a listen. Support her and listen to this song available on all streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic Marxoxo, and congratulations on your latest release, "Euphoria." What was your goal with the song's overall atmosphere? Thank you! If you look up what the word euphoria means, it means a feeling of overwhelming joy and elation, which can come from lots of different things like love, sex, drugs, family, etc. So it was really important to me to capture that light, fluffy joy and excitement in the song's vibe. How does "Euphoria" contrast with your previous releases? How does this song stand out in terms of lyricism, sound, and concepts? "Euphoria" is really different from my other songs cause it's the first that's really full-on anthemic dance-pop! A lot of my other music is more like "pop&b," while this is proudly pop. Thematically, "Euphoria" and the rest of the songs off my upcoming project ID: I am about self-love, empowerment, and assurance. You can literally hear it in my voice, too, cause I've strengthened and pushed my vocals beyond my last project Fantasy V Reality, which was all about the sides of romanticizing a toxic relationship. What was your songwriting process like for "Euphoria?" Was this a challenging process, or did your words flow with ease? Writing Euphoria was definitely a challenge cause it was both the first and the last song I wrote for my new project. I had the melodies, hooks, everything but the lyrics down because I honestly had a hard time being honest with myself! After re-writing and recording 'Euphoria,' it clicked, and it was a breeze like the final piece in a puzzle. Did you create "Euphoria" in hopes that listeners could find something they relate with? What did you want your audience to experience? Absolutely! Euphoria means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, so I really wanted to capture its magic in music so others can experience what it feels like to me. Personally, I wrote it about gender euphoria, so I hope that any dolls and gaybies that hear it feel celebrated and loved listening to it. Instagram

Shawn Xavien's career has spanned nearly two decades. You can find him credited on various productions for television, stage play soundtracks, and several critically acclaimed albums. The winner of the 2021 AACCS award for Entrepreneurship in Music, Shawn Xavien also launched his late-night internet show Xactly With Shawn Xavien, where he hosts different independent acts. Now, he's ready to bring in even more loyal fans with his latest album, Don't Worry I'll Wait 3. The record gives us an in-depth look at Xavien's artistic approach and versatile stylings, all while keeping us locked into every transition and switch-up. The album opens with the introductory track, "Nowhere Fast," where a loud voice screams to "let them wait." Before we know it, Shawn Xavien drops us into a drum-heavy old-school hip-hop beat with thick brass samples and scratchy record spins. The melancholy and haunting keys in the background bring an exciting edge that opens the album on a kickass note, sparking our speakers with the flame that's kept timeless hip-hop alive. Moving into track number two, "Stay Here," Shawn Xavien switches things up with more of an electronic influence through large and buzzy things that topple our speakers over. The tight and crispy percussion paired with the pulsating vocal sample is perfect for the dancefloor, and the song's overall rhythm is irresistible. Shawn Xavien's drum arrangements are exceptional; he has no issue keeping the groove alive and thriving. Haunting our speakers is the third track, "Misfit," which opens with a haunting vocal-like synth that washes our speakers in a dark and mystical cloud. The buzzy and vibrating synths lead us into the downtempo drums, which float through the low and high ends with stellar hi-hats and punchy kicks. One could describe this song as haunting lo-fi; it's definitely chill, but carries a dark edge that cuts like a knife. Reaching the album's halfway point with track number four, "Waves," Shawn Xavien successfully switches the vibe once again and leaves us drifting into the celestials with his stunning arrangements. The tappy hi-hats and woody percussion paired with a brilliant and looped keyboard melody feels like floating among the clouds, or maybe through the "Waves." It's a soothing and laidback piece that helps us get to know Xavien's artistic range and production abilities even better. Onto the fifth track, "Gum Drops on Ice," we're met with a set of melodic and modern synths that leave us with chills. It doesn't take long for Shawn Xavien to set the groove and get our toes tapping with his infectious hip-hop drums and sweet violin samples that add organic zest. This is another dynamic yet engaging tune that tells a story without a single lyric, letting you interpret it however you please. Upping up the mysterious vibe is track number six, "Slow Burn Under the Bridge," which opens with a melancholy organ paired with light piano keys that set the moody tone. As the background continues to crunch with white noise, Shawn Xavien drops his iconic drums to give the song a well-rounded and complete feel. There's a hazy and ghostly vibe to the overall experience, something anyone can appreciate when they have some reflecting to do. In the seventh track, "Images Of," Shawn Xavien kicks off this moving and cathartic experience with string-like synths that wave through the foreground with boundless emotion. Later on, Xavien includes a section of Charlie Chaplin's final speech in The Great Dictator, preaching love, kindness, and the coming together of humanity. All while Chaplin stops us dead in our tracks, Xavien's production keeps us there, basking in the beautiful sonic ambiance he carefully arranged. Landing on the album's eighth and outro track, "Last Summer," Shawn Xavien takes us into perhaps one of the most dynamic tracks of the record. As we melt into the cinematic strings and brass that ooze emotion, Xavien kicks our speakers with his skilled drum arrangements for a final spin around the block. The haunting cello and light violins alongside the modern hip-hop drums is something we didn't know we needed until now, closing the entire album on a note of passion and love. When you're not sure what your ears are craving but know you want to groove, Shawn Xavien has something you'll adore. Experience the dynamic artistic range of his new album, Don't Worry I'll Wait 3, now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome back to BuzzMusic, Shawn Xavien. We admire the genre-bending and engaging sounds within your recent instrumental album, Don't Worry I'll Wait 3. When did you begin creating songs for the album? Did anything inspire the project? I began working on DWIW3 shortly after releasing DWIW2 in November of 2021. I’m constantly putting down ideas and such, so I’ve built up quite a catalog of music. I’m inspired by all things music and enjoy creating a mood, a vibe that when someone hears it they get lost in it. I also like seeing what people come up with in comparison to myself. It’s exciting to me. Did you want listeners to take away any specific themes or concepts throughout the album, Don't Worry I'll Wait 3? How did you want them to interpret the album? The album is meant to be interpreted however the listener sees fit while also getting a glimpse of what I was trying to convey. Why did you decide to take the instrumental route for Don't Worry I'll Wait 3, and not feature any artists on your tracks? Like DWIW 1 & 2, the decision to release all instrumentals was solely to engage listeners and creators with the hope that each individual would put their own individual take on 1 or all of the tracks. The series is a beat tape for the masses. Did you create the production for Don't Worry I'll Wait 3 entirely by yourself? What does your personal creative process look like? All the production was done solely by me using a combination of original and software-created samples. As you can see I also pulled a couple of vocal samples as well in order to create a specific feel on tracks “Nowhere Fast” which samples James Earl Jones from “Coming to America” and Charlie’s Chaplins speech from “The Great Dictator on “Images of." As for my creative process, it’s really me going through a library of sounds until something catches my ear, and I build a simple melody which evolves into something that some times I wasn’t even thinking of. How does Don't Worry I'll Wait 3 stand out or contrast your previous albums? What are the main differences between this body of work and the others? There's a difference in energy between DWIW3 and its previous counterparts. From the jump, it’s uptempo and edgy, then it mellows out towards the end, closing out the series. We love the party-like feel and energy within your new single, "Party Down a Dirt Road." What inspired you to create such an exciting song about carefree summer jams? Thank you so much for having me! "Party Down A Dirt Road" is here just in time for Summer! Growing up in a small town, there wasn't much to do. So, we would get creative! We used to drive down dirt roads, find abandoned homes and empty fields, anywhere we couldn't be spotted, and we'd throw bonfire kegger parties. We would spend a week scouting the perfect location. Somebody would bring jungle juice, somebody would bring Moonshine, others brought cases and kegs of Busch Light. We had so much fun. We'd have some drinks, blast music, and take turns doing keg stands. Most of us girls loved to dance, so I choreographed a line dance to this song. We were young, we were fun, and we were fearless! We threw the best parties and had the best times! What was your songwriting process like for "Party Down a Dirt Road?" Was it easy for you to set such vivid and feel-good scenes with your words? It was a moment for me to relive one of my favorite past times. I had so much fun reminiscing about those days. I wanted the listener to visualize and experience the moment exactly like I remembered it. It all came together very quickly! It was so easy to capture those memories and translate them into a song! Did you work alongside any musicians or producers when creating "Party Down a Dirt Road?" What was that experience like? The music to "Party Down a Dirt Road" was produced by multi-award-winning Music Producer Dave Tough in Nashville, Tennessee. I wrote my vocal melody and lyrics in 2019 while I was living in California. The pandemic put everything on hold, so I finally got into the studio in March 2022. My vocal tracks were recorded, mixed, and mastered by Fletcher Robinson at Evergreen Records in Evergreen, Alabama. Will "Party Down a Dirt Road" be featured on your upcoming debut EP? What concept or theme do you plan to bring forward with the new project? Yes, "Party Down a Dirt Road" will be featured on my EP later this year! I don't have a specific concept or theme for my EP. However, my full-length album coming in 2023 will have more of a concept to it, and it will tie all of my songs together. I can tell you that I write each of my songs from my personal life experiences. That's all I can share at this time. I can't give away too much information! What's next for you? I have three music videos in the works, one for "Party Down a Dirt Road" and the others for a couple of my other tracks. I am also working on an upcoming single, "Can't Cry Anymore," with multi Billboard award-winning Producer and Composer Kitt Wakeley. Additionally, I'm working with award-winning Music Producer Scott Wilson of platinum-selling Rock band Saving Abel on my upcoming singles "Enough" (nominated for the 2022 JMA Songwriter Achievement Award), and "Where I Need You Now". Both tracks feature Kent Slusher (Luke Bryan) on drums, Scott Wilson (Saving Abel) on bass, guitar, and vocals, and Nashville Pro-Steve Hinson (Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney) on steel guitar, banjo, and mandolin. Furthermore, I am nominated in five categories at the Josie Music Awards; Artist of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, Single of the Year (Party Down a Dirt Road), Songwriter Achievement (Enough), and Stage Fashion Trailblazer. The 8th Annual Josie Music Awards. are being held at the legendary Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee. • Coleman.X Spills His Guts in “Secrets”

From Alabama to Nashville, Tennessee, singer-songwriter and producer Coleman.X tells us all his dirty little "Secrets" in his latest gripping single. Using pop music to escape the culture he was stuck in, Coleman.X learned his way around electronic production at 15 and decided to head out to Nashville. From there, he's played iconic venues like Mercy Lounge and Lipstick Lounge. The queer artist also played Nashville Pride and was featured in the South by Southwest headlining film, Alone Together. Coleman.X's newest single, "Secrets," is a sparkling and vibrant electro-pop experience that blasts through our speakers with passion and profound emotion. Although the sonics are thrilling enough to bump in any club, Coleman.X's lyrics are incredibly emotional, making it easy for anyone who's experienced love to relate. Expanding on "Secrets," the tune kicks off with choir-like vocal chops that haunt our speakers from left to right. As Coleman.X's bright vocals leap through our speakers, he passionately expresses those moments where he'd rather not know what an ex is up to and who they're spending the night with, all while looking for something to take the edge off. There's boundless emotion in this single, but there's also a bang-up groove thanks to Coleman.X's rounded production that gets our hips moving and toes tapping. The thick bass line and modern synth-pop vibe offer a sense of balance, but Coleman.X's verses are what tug on our heartstrings with his heartbreakingly relatable themes. There's so much to experience in Coleman.X's new single. Whether you want to head to the club or need a modern ballad you can relate to, "Secrets" has something for everyone. Find Coleman.X's brilliant new single on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Coleman.X. What a dynamic and engaging listening experience you've provided with your latest single, "Secrets." Where did you find the inspiration to create this emotional yet vibrant song? Thank you so much! I had just gone through my first heartbreak ever, and I was devastated but had just left a horrible 3-year-long depressive state. I refused to let myself be sad in any capacity, so I coped in a lot of unhealthy ways. When the heartbreak finally caught up to me, I was hit with this wave of regret and guilt for putting this person I still loved very much through that alone. I was spiraling and did the only thing I know to do to ground myself- make a song about it! Speaking of the vibrant atmosphere in "Secrets," why did you want to be rather upbeat and exciting, considering your lyrics are incredibly emotional? I am a huge fan of these “crying in the club”-Esq tracks; going out dancing is a huge distraction for me, so I love making depressing songs that you can blast in the club and at the same time be like, “damn.” Combining the best distraction with whatever you need a distraction from is a powerful form of healing. What was your experience writing your emotional lyrics for "Secrets?" Did you face any personal challenges or obstacles? I was smoking weed all day and drinking all the time, my body was deteriorating, my mental health had plummeted, and writing about these issues made them real. I was forced to admit to myself that I was not ok again. It was also kinda weird for me because I had the thought process of “How can I make a catchy ass hook while still singing about the fucked up shit I’m dealing with? How can I make this pop song about heartbreak and substance abuse that’s got a four on the floor?” Aside from those challenges, what did you get out of creating "Secrets?" What was your favorite part of the experience? Not to be corny, but this song really healed me in many ways. Performing this song around Nashville since I wrote it has really helped me move on from the situation. Like, yea I can get up on stage with a Versace crop top and shake my ass while singing about my depressive tendencies and substance abuse- it’s a very liberating feeling. What's next for you? A lot of growing, I hope! I have a remix of ‘secrets’ coming out at the beginning of august done by my friend Glitch Gum, then my debut album in the fall. I’ve been working on it for 3 years now, and I’m super excited for the world to see what I got up my sleeve. Instagram Facebook
