Welcome to BuzzMusic, Alejandro Montoya, and congratulations on the release of "Breathe Again." With such a profound record released, could you please tell us how you gathered the inspiration for the song's theme? Halfway through COVID, I penned down some thoughts on isolation, love, and anxiety to understand my feelings through writing. The next thing I knew, I transformed ideas into melodies with some chords on my keyboard. Ultimately, “Breathe Again” happened when I reminded myself to go through the difficult parts and to breathe. Sometimes those reminders come through the ones we love, so in the end, it’s a short letter about love through the eyes of uncertainty during the pandemic. What was it like for you to write "Breathe Again"? How does it compare to other songs in your music catalog? “Breathe Again” was incredibly important for me to transform into a song. It helped me reconnect with my producer friend Morten Lava, who has been a key collaborator of mine. He understood the journey of the song musically and helped me lay down the textures that were needed to create a chill R&B tune, which contrasts the beginning of a love relationship with the reality of turbulence due to despair and fear of losing. The layered intentions in the music come with the Motown-inspired backing vocals. He helped arrange and craft an organic take on the story that is easy to listen to. The song unblocked my creativity after the first couple of years since the pandemic hit, and it simultaneously led me to collaborate with talented local artists like Vivija and Sharaf Entwistle. The songs I did with them will be featured in my upcoming EP, which includes “Breathe Again” too. I feel there is a contrast between where I’m at right now musically, and the artist I was before. I feel more confident in telling my story now. I’m pursuing a path in which I can be proud of the life I’m living. Other songs of mine hide in the metaphor world for their entirety out of fear of facing reality. “Breathe Again” is a clear statement of where I find myself at times. I still feel metaphors are part of my artistic language, but I’m stepping into reality proudly. What is the main message that you'd like your audience to take away from this track? After the release, a very special person reached out to me and mentioned how the song had this mantra feel to it. I wish people would take that with them, particularly for anybody listening who is living in this fast-paced, turbulent world. If only we took some deep breaths along the way, we would be able to manage life better, pay attention to what’s around us or who is in front of us, and let love guide us. How have you grown as an artist from the beginning of your career until now? I’m originally from Colombia. Much of my music work there consisted of being a session singer and vocal producer for artists. Stepping into the singer-songwriter's shoes was always too scary, but eventually, I crossed over into songwriting and sharing my journey with audiences. Establishing that side of my career took a lot of hard work and commitment to myself. I continue to get opportunities as a session singer and backing vocalist for performers from all around the world, but also continue to grow as a songwriter. I am currently creating original music with my group, moonflower, Elisa Gonzalez, and the help of Renny Goh. Our debut single “río” received great reviews. I also got the amazing opportunity to work at the renowned Silverlake Conservatory, owned by Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, which opened doors to many musical endeavors. Songwriting never stopped, but I finally stepped into those shoes. I am about to release an EP as a solo artist this May and continue to work closely with moonflower for live shows and performances. - We Will Never Forget Avery Grace and Kayso's New Single "NEVERMIND”
20-year-old singer-songwriter Avery Grace steps to the front of our playlists on her latest collaboration with KAYSO. The compelling single titled “NEVERMIND” places itself in a musical catalog that has totaled over 170,000 streams since 2020. The contents of this track have Avery Grace straying away from the realm of pop as she experiments with R&B and hip-hop. “NEVERMIND” depicts a tale of a one-sided relationship and its riddled complexities. The dark percussion, synth, and pad elements scoop us into an almost ethereal feel as “NEVERMIND” pours from your speakers. The collaborative duo of Avery Grace and Kayso sends us into a sensual frenzy as we grasp onto the intimate offerings showcased. Creating a dimensional dynamic between the two, we hear the elusive chorus trickling in with Avery Grace’s tantalizing timbres. Kayso provides an emcee approach filled with pure attitude as his rhyme schemes leave an impactful feeling of the touchdown. Each glorious harmony transports us to this atmospheric universe chalked full of emotion and conscious thought. Uplifting our souls as we yearn for the passionate display of lyrical motifs from these two, it’s words like “I say never mind. You say baby, why? I say I don’t got time. You say explain it, try” that has us swooning. Leaving us wanting more from his desirable narrative, Avery Grace and Kayso make the pristine duo deliver such heights. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Avery Grace, and congratulations on releasing your latest single, “NEVERMIND,” which features Kayso. What was it like tackling this project together? "NEVERMIND" is our first collaboration on a track, and we have another one in the works! What was the vibe emitted when bringing this song to life? Could you please share a glimpse into the creative process? It’s always a fun, inspiring, and motivating environment when working on music together. Avery had written the chorus a little over a year ago with "NEVERMIND" and trashed it because she thought it wasn’t good enough. For some reason, we took another look at it one night and Kayso wrote his verses in about an hour. We took it to the studio within the next couple of days. "NEVERMIND" came very naturally to both of us. Taking the plunge from Pop to R&B, what have you noticed in terms of similarities and differences in your creative process? I’ve been so happy exploring R&B. I feel like it’s what I needed to break out of my comfort zone and explore different areas of writing and singing. I’d say there is a lot of overlap in my creative process with Pop and R&B, but one of the main differences is working on rhythm and melodies. I’ve noticed that R&B comes more naturally to me in terms of creating melodies and singing. What advice do you have for artists looking to take their music to the next level? I’d say the best advice that I’ve received is to try and take a step toward your goals every day, small or big. Whether it’s something to do with music or not, just push yourself to do something to help you make progress in one way or another. What's next for you? You can expect a few singles coming soon and maybe another EP! In the studio, I've been exploring more R&B as well as trap/rock energy. Check out my website for more! For Kayso, an EP is on the way! He will also be releasing singles on all platforms until the EP. Avery Grace Instagram Kayso Instagram
- Rawle Is Back With An Astounding Release, “Find My Way”
Canadian R&B, soul, and pop recording artist Rawle started off creating and releasing music in 2010 and hasn't stopped since. Before moving, Rawle toured across the U.S. and Canada which would later get him recognized. This encouraged him to move to Los Angeles to pursue his musical aspirations further. He then quickly began booking shows in Hollywood, including the pre-show performances for the BET Awards. His EP, which covers much ground such as heartbreak, understanding, and overcoming triumphs, also features singer Melanie Amaro, winner of the first season of The X Factor USA. Rawle pours his heart out on the first track on his album titled, 'Find My Way.' His emotional lyrics describe how he stumbles at the bottom of his mountain, trying to find his way to success. Rawle feels as if he is at the edge of glory, but the journey to it has been so strenuous that it has taken everything out of him to keep on holding on. The journey hasn't been easy for Rawle as he sings about motivating himself to just take the next step, the bravest thing anyone could do. "Find My Way" is such a beautiful song for all the dreamers striving for greatness, as delivered in one of the many motivational lyrics like, "When you dream a million dreams, only you can make them real," Rawle stresses the virtue of fighting for one's dreams, no matter what the world says about them. Rawle presents the most angelic vocals to make "Find My Way" a satisfying and emotional listening experience. "Find My Way" is motivating and inspiring, and the eye to detail production is the icing on the cake. Welcome to BuzzMusic Rawle! We're so happy to have you with us today! You have such a strong message in "Find My Way." What would you say your best moment was upon creating it? Thank you so much for having me! Creating "Find My Way" really was an ah-ha moment for me. I wanted to be authentic and to be as real as I could because I realized that is the best way to inspire others. My best moment came when I just let go of who I thought I had to be and what I thought I had to say and just began writing the words and creating the melody. It brought me so much peace and healing during the process. As "Find My Way" interprets someone "finding their way," what other message would you like your listeners to take away from the record? I would like listeners to also take away that we are all on this journey we call life and the best moments of our lives are in front of us. We do not need to know the way; we just need to keep moving forward taking it one step at a time. Many artists find it hard to express their emotions on a record, what is it that you do to connect to your creative self? It is not always easy for me either. But I just have to remove my ego. I notice when I say to myself “this is not about you, Rawle, but the listeners and fans,” That helps me be humble so that I can be vulnerable enough to create music that will move someone to dance and smile cry or heal. What's next for you? What is next for me is performing, collaborating, and networking with other artists, brands, and companies. I would like to go on tour to showcase myself to bigger audiences and grow my fanbase. I am also actively working to secure some TV and movie acting roles as well. Instagram Artist Website
- Bailey James Follows “The Crow”
Up-and-coming rock 'n roll phenomenon and singer-songwriter Bailey James releases an anthem for loneliness and loss with her latest music video for "The Crow." James has quite an impressive track record. She has her last single, "Finally Free," charted on Billboard, garnering over 250,000 fans across social media, and is appointed as the first National Youth Advocate for The Jason Foundation. On a more personal note, James started the health/suicide prevention awareness movement, The Finally Free Movement, in honor of her late brother, Zane. The new single and music video, "The Crow," is also in honor of James' late brother, signifying a sort of emptiness and feeling lost but bearing the strength to persevere. The visuals perfectly back up the overall feeling of loss and aloneness, especially as the scene takes place in a dull, expansive field with shots of bare trees and a historical wooden cabin. Taking a closer look at the video for "The Crow," drone shots peer over the tops of cold, wintery trees while transitioning into another overhead shot of James wandering an empty field in a floor-length dress. Sitting on the steps of a centuries-old cabin, she haunts us with a Stevie Nicks-like tone and demeanor while belting her deepest emotions on the hook. The visuals continue to evoke a 70s witchy vibe as James tiptoes around in bare feet and long wavy hair with long sheer sleeves. There's so much passion and emotion in this video, and James is destined to move each viewer that graces such a cathartic and attention-commanding visual and auditory experience. Set yourself free and follow "The Crow" with Bailey James' gripping new music video, now available on YouTube. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Bailey James. We genuinely appreciate such a personal and strong-willed music video like "The Crow." How does the music video represent the single itself? Well, my parents and I shot the music video ourselves. It’s homemade and has Blair witch project vibes, making it feel more personal. The song itself is very personal to me, so it was important the music video felt the same way. Would you say "The Crow" was one of the more challenging songs you've written, considering it comes from a significantly personal place? Honestly, no. The more personal it is, the easier it flows out of me. I like to sit in pain and not run from it. A blessing and a curse, so no, “The Crow” was easy to write. When creating the scenes for "The Crow" music video, did you have any influences or projects in mind? What inspired these visuals? Blair Witch Project for sure. I saw the shots from the video and immediately got that vibe. Could you tell us more about The Finally Free Movement? What is your goal? I started the Finally Free Movement last summer while I was battling my own mental health issues. I was tired of only posting the highlight reel of my life and wanted to be transparent about how much I was struggling in hopes I could help somebody else. I lost my brother Zane to suicide, so these issues run in my family, and I’ve seen firsthand just how bad it can get. My goal is to save just one life and educate others on their mental health. Before I had a proper education, I thought I was going “crazy,” but what people need to understand is mental illness is an illness. An actual chemical imbalance in the brain. There is nothing crazy about that. Instagram Facebook
- Lauren Waddell Shamelessly Professes Her Truth in “Narcissist”
Singer-songwriter Lauren Waddell hails from Chattanooga, TN., with a fearless attitude and unapologetic personality. Telling it like it is, her new single, "Narcissist," reveals the layers of Lauren Waddell's charisma as she shares a piece of herself with us. Her unique musical style includes early-2000s pop mixed with some indie flair and a bit of country music. Working with a well-rounded team of producers like Brent Crowe and Chuck Alkazian, this trifecta of talent brings quite the atmosphere to life in this record. The edgy guitar strums spread a sincere melancholy to the track's musical foundation. Lauren Waddell's emotive vocalization meshes harmoniously as the upbeat drum patterns come swarming in. Her witty lyrical motifs play upon her cheeky persona and self-assured aura. This excites the song's narrative in such a seamless way. The storytelling describes a relationship that has grown in the foundation of complete toxicity. Lauren Waddell states, "I wrote it about giving everything to somebody else in a relationship and being completely selfless in doing so. In fact, even being dismissive of your own needs and desires for the other person's happiness, but still getting gas-lit and called a 'Narcissist' in return." Through the intensity that dips itself into peaks and valleys as the song's natural progression emanates, we can't help but relate to the captivating wording that Lauren Waddell flaunts. Winning us over with her passion and inimitable drive, Lauren Waddell transitions this to her musical creations impeccably. If you want a breakup anthem, you can scream-cry to "Narcissist" as you add it to your playlist. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Lauren Waddell! Congratulations on the release of "Narcissist." Basing such a vulnerable track on a piece of your life, how does it feel to let the public hear "Narcissist?" Honestly, it feels very refreshing. You have all these emotions kind of bundled up and you tie them into a song. Putting that song out there and letting other people hear it, feels almost like a relief. Do you often find closure when writing songs based on your experiences? Writing songs is often how I go about finding closure, to begin with. I think songwriting, especially about a situation or just anything in general, gives you a moment to take a step back, reflect, break it down and interpret it all. It helps open up different perspectives you hadn’t really thought of before, and getting to do this is kind of a revealing experience that helps me find closure when writing. How does "Narcissist" compare to other songs heard in your music catalog? "Narcissist" is honestly a bit different from some of the other stuff I write. When I first recorded Narcissist, I recorded it to be a part of an album, but later down the line decided to release that album as singles. A lot of the music from that album has definitely more of a pop feel, with a little bit of country mixed into that, as opposed to Narcissist’s more pop-punk feel. However, a lot of the music I’m writing and working on more recently is pretty much a variety of pop, indie rock, and indie folk. What was it like working with Brent Crowe and Chuck Alkazian to bring this song to life? Working with Brent Crowe and Chuck Alkazian to produce this song was honestly an amazing experience. I started working with Brent when Narcissist was just its lyrics and a simple chord progression. As soon as the production process started, Brent instantly brought the song to life. After Brent had produced it, the song went to Chuck Alkazian to be remixed and remastered. Chuck added so much to the song, and just like Brent had, brought it even more to life than it was before. They both put so much effort into understanding my perspective of the song and using that to turn it into a work of art. Working with both of them helped me learn so much and was honestly wonderful. What's next for you? For the time being, I plan to play some live shows around my area. But other than that, we have two more songs also produced by Brent Crowe and Chuck Alkazian that we plan to release sometime in the near future. And while we’re waiting for that, I plan to keep writing and making more music that I’ll be able to share with the public soon! Instagram Facebook

Her brilliance is nothing short of sentimental, and it's a talent like this that has us eager to take in the layers of passion behind the music. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Andrea Magee! Congratulations on the release of your latest single, "Belfast Girl." This record is so passionate and full of authenticity you can't make up. What exact moment inspired this approach to a concept so thoughtful and dear to you? So grateful you feel this connection. Belfast Girl was born out of the conversation during lockdown with my dear friend and great singer-songwriter Pat Bryne. Pat is also from Ireland but he grew up in the south. We spoke at length about the differences we faced as children growing up in certain parts of Ireland. He was really surprised about a few things I shared and encouraged me to tap into those memories when songwriting. I woke up the next day, sat with my guitar, and Belfast Girl just came out. There are so many memories tangled up in Belfast Girl, the majority linking to a feeling of honest homesickness but something else is also very present. I have always longed for the little girl I was and how freeing it was to be that child, I still do to this day. I long to reconnect with that inner child and I think this song also captures that ache. Looking into your previously released music, how do you think "Belfast Girl" compares to the other songs in your catalog? "Belfast Girl" is my story. I had never tried to write so specifically before and it came so naturally with this song and the collection of songs that followed and made up the album. I am very grateful for my roots and all the amazing people that have helped me grow along the way and it was so lovely to really tap into this love for this body of work. What would you like your audience to take away from this in terms of what this song says about you as an artist? That it's real. It was quite scary to release this song as it is so close to my bones but I realized that in that vulnerability listeners can take themself off on their own journey and that for me is a truly beautiful thing and the real gift of music and art. What is the music scene like in Belfast, Ireland? How did this play a role in where you are today? Honestly,, I have spent the last 8 years in the USA and have built my sound here. I played music my entire life in a family band but I think I always knew I needed to come away and strip away all security and make some heart aching sacrifices to find my own pathway. Belfast has a great music scene and I play sometimes when I am home but not as regular as I do here in Austin. I would love to reconnect and play a little more at home if the opportunity presented itself for sure. What's next for you? To keep creating, I am excited to release this full Belfast Girl album so I can dive into the next creative chapter. Being in the writing process of each album is my favorite part, it's the freest for me. I get to dive into a different world and play for a while, there is no pressure or expectation in those early stages and I love that. Instagram Facebook
- Barbacoa Hits Back With a Gripping Anthem, “Not an Echo”
Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, is musical duo Barbacoa, who are taking off into the fiery realms of hard rock with their latest gritty and heavy single, "Not An Echo." Barbacoa is no stranger to working from a distance. When the pandemic hit, Kyle Evanchuck (vocals) and Joel Grant (music) channeled their past years of writing together when Evanchuck left for the U.S. Navy. After returning to Ohio, both musicians came together and began to value their time working in the same room. The boys bring that chemistry to life through their latest glass-shattering single, "Not An Echo." The song is this fiery hellscape that fuels every ounce of energy within us, preparing us for a journey into exhilarating rock without a dull moment. The song tracks the story of someone on the run and trying to get in touch with someone special, but things just feel off. Jumping into the flames of "Not An Echo," the track tears open with Grant's muffled instrumentals that slowly brighten into the foreground with quick drums and blazing rhythm guitars. As Evanchuck's enthralling vocals make their way in, he sets the scene of someone alone, lost in the woods, and navigating their way through this nerve-wracking situation. We love the grit and power Barbacoa smashes us within this track; it's clear they're ready to pick up the pace and take the music scene by storm. Without a doubt, this is one of the more exciting singles we've heard this year, and we're sure any listener will adore banging their heads to this lively rock anthem. Feast your ears on the blazing sounds of Barbacoa's latest punchy single, "Not An Echo," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Barbacoa. We can't get enough of the exciting energy and heavy atmosphere within your latest single, "Not An Echo." What inspired this deeply conceptual single? Thank you! We're really proud of this song and its energy. Joel (Grant) sends me the foundation or basic idea of the music as he writes it, and I write the lyrics as I get inspired by the song. This song, which tells a story of someone being chased and needing help in a situation that has gotten away from them, is a fictional story, but it was written based on the energy of the music. I imagined a chaotic situation that felt relentless in pursuit and tried to put that into words. Considering your previous single, "Ghosts," was more of a somber tune, why did you want to spice things up and release "Not An Echo?" When we write, we don't worry about what the last song sounded like. We go into each song open-minded, and we hope to write something that makes us feel. "Ghosts" was very personal and dealt with loss. I think we subconsciously wanted the next song to be more energetic, so it naturally turned into this rocker of a tune that kind of never quits on the energy. It also made sense to go into a fictional direction with Not an Echo after such a personal song with Ghosts. It was a natural direction change for us in a creative sense. Does your duo notice any differences when working remotely vs. together in the same room? Did you spend the creative process for "Not An Echo" physically together? We are very used to working remotely. We did that for many years when I was in the Navy, and he was back in Ohio. Now that I am back in Ohio and near him, it is nice to see each other more and write in the same place, but we still work remotely for a large part of our music writing process. We spend a lot of our "in-person" time together when we record the songs. What impact do you want "Not An Echo" to have on the listener? What should your audience feel after experiencing it? We hope it makes you feel energetic. We want it to blast out of your speakers or headphones and get you tapping your foot or bouncing back and forth. It's a "rocker," as my Dad used to say. It's a song that is meant to be played loud and make you feel. I hope people really gravitate to the vibe of the song. And in the end, I hope it makes them want to play it again and again because this song is a fun one. Instagram Facebook
- Five Arrows Liberates His Emotions In New Single, “Only You”
American music producer and DJ Five Arrows is storming the music scene with his latest single “Only You." Blending electronic music with rock elements gives his music a very diverse and intriguing twist. Formerly a lead guitarist for a successful touring heavy metal band, he continues to be inspired by blending satisfying guitar melodies, followed by in-your-face drops. Five Arrows releases his latest EDM/Dance single, "Only You." The song begins with a touching voicemail of a woman's voice saying that she's "calling to hear the sound of his voice." He begins singing about how he struggles to be vulnerable, to let his guard down and he's tried countless times to be honest with her. His passion and desire for a romantic relationship with her grow tremendously every day, a love so deep she pulls him out of the dark. "Only You" is an anthem for lovers who'd like to rekindle the spark between them and rejuvenate their souls. Five Arrow's is an expert at weaving a musical story together, and his inner turmoil is artistically expressed through growing EDM climaxes and entrancing beats. "Only You" is the record to spin if you need a vibe-lifter or an energetic boost for your mood. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Five Arrows! "Only You" is such an astounding song. How did it come about, and how was the process creating it? Thank you so much! My single "Only You" came about late one night when I was in my studio thinking of song ideas. I have always wanted to have passionate vocals/lyrics to all of the music I produce. Coming from a heavy metal band/background, I have always wanted to incorporate a more rock/EDM sound into my music. My process of making music is simple: Start with a chord progression/guitar riff and build the song from there. We sense that "Only You" is a record you seem to connect to personally. What would you like your listeners to take from the record? Absolutely. I try and make music that I feel something from in hopes that others will too. I like to make more emotional/melodic music. "Only You" is about that one person/relationship in your life that you can't seem to forget. You seem to use instruments quite well, and you have loads of experience in that field. What would you say is your favorite instrument to record with, and what got you into playing it? Thank you! My favorite instrument for recording is the guitar. I use it just about in all of my songs. Since I was a young teenager, I have been playing bands like Blink 182, The Used, and Senses Fail, which all inspired me in my beginning years of learning to play the guitar. "Only You" has a strong message. What do you want listeners to take away from this? I'd like my listeners to take away that it is okay to be vulnerable and open up to people. I feel like we have gotten so far removed from being authentic in the digital age. Always have hope for a brighter tomorrow. What's next for you? I plan to keep releasing a lot of music throughout the rest of the year. I have quite a few collab's in the works with amazing artists as well. Now that things are pretty much open everywhere from the pandemic, maybe even start playing some live DJ sets! Instagram Facebook
- Jayd Has Us Saying Bye To A, “LUCID LOVER”
British indie artist Jayd is born creative. Having lived in France as a dance captain/entertainer, the now Luxembourg-based artist has always been surrounded by dance and theatre. With creativity flowing through her veins, she is now focusing on her music career. The dancer, songwriter, and self-taught producer showcase her soulful, velvet vocals, storytelling lyrics, and atmospheric soundscapes. 2021 saw the multi-talented artist learning towards a more indie-pop sound, with her infectious melodies and impressive musicianship delivering polished sound. Her music is written from her heart and is real and relatable, touching on themes ranging from mental health and anxiety to toxic relationships. Her recently released single, “LUCID LOVER,” has Jayd’s pop sound dipping into a nostalgic R&B flair. Incorporating more modern elements has the electronica undertones gently floating throughout this soundscape. We're fully swept away by this breakup anthem, allowing this innovative atmosphere to be the musical foundation for Jayd’s angelic timbres. As we sink into our seats and sway our heads to the ultimate whirlwind of bubbly regret, the lyrical motifs that Jayd’s boisterous persona emanates pull us deeper into the music. That’s due to Jayd’s unique point of view on her songwriting. Placing herself in the shoes of others, her remarkable knack for creating life-like soundscapes purely by storytelling is uncanny. “LUCID LOVER” plays into this creative bubble and ensures listers can connect in a personal and reflective manner. Featuring Mirari Moore to up the ante and incorporate another talented perspective, the dynamism shared between the two is one that catches us off guard in the best way possible. Each artist has their own way of reiterating this perspective and magically does it from a more hip-hop flair and pop liveliness. Simmering harmonies embed themselves into the layered effects that complete this record and ultimately have each encapsulating vocalization by Jayd shimmer brighter than the last. Listen to “LUCID LOVER” today on all streaming platforms and get lost in its notion. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Jayd, and congratulations on the release of your latest single, "LUCID LOVER." We love how you immaculately translate this story to your audience! What was it like working with Mirari Moore to bring this vision to fruition? Really, really easy! From the second we met, we just understood each other's universe and knew that our music would just gel together before we even started creating. Since you often create from such a unique perspective, what moment or story inspired the creation of "LUCID LOVER?" Through my 20's, I'd have a hard time 'being in the moment.' I'd always be worrying about the future or reflecting on the past. So even though Lucid Lover could be interpreted as a breakup song, the real meaning behind the music for me, or message even, was one to myself. If I'd just been honest with myself in certain situations, I could have found my peace a lot earlier. In the second verse, I sing, 'and everything I hated about you has disappeared fast just like you,' I'm singing that to my younger self and any worries I had. What would you want it to be if your audience could take away one message from this song? Be LUCID with yourself, and be honest about what you want in life for yourself. Don't let it get to a 'too little too late' moment. I write music with my main goal being to move someone and make them feel something when they're listening. Do you happen to have a favorite style that you like to create? I really like slow tunes. My music is pretty low-key, I'd say, but I do have trouble describing my style. Sometimes I'll write a song, and it won't sound at all like my others. I do know, however, that I like using samples in my music. For example, I might hear some background noise in my recordings. I'll often edit them and include them in the song. Would you ever branch out into more genre-bending collaborations again? 100% I love collaborating. Every artist brings something so special musically to the table. What's next for you? I've got two covers and a few original songs coming out. At the moment, I'm working independently, and I'd love to grow my team to find a manager that can help with gigs and interviews. So I think along with releasing music, I will make it my priority to branch out. Instagram Facebook

We appreciate the wholesome and feel-good experience you've provided in your music video for "Turn The Radio Up (Own The Night)." What inspired the winsome concept behind the video? Thank you Buzz Music! The video for Turn The Radio Up (Own The Night) is a story of trying and failing, and then trying and succeeding. What separates the two and the role that the pressure we put on ourselves contributes to the cycle of failure. The lead, played by Jordan Hunter-Fidalgo in the video, is working out a cheering routine in the park, trying to make the team. Her character stumbles over god in this park and doesn’t recognize the little kid as god, because he’s just a little kid. She’s so self-absorbed that she is mean to him and he cries! Later my character comes in through a chance encounter to act as a balance to lower her stress and get her to a good place so that the next time she tries the cheerleading routine, she nails it. It’s stupid, a cheerleading routine, right? But to this character, it’s so important that she can’t see the stuff that really matters. Who helped you formulate the scenes and concept for the "Turn The Radio Up (Own The Night)" music video? Did you work with any directors or producers? Yes! We worked with producer Zina AlDamlouji and director Alex Siwik from 4Front Films. They’re really talented creatives in a city that’s pretty full of creative people! I work with other artists all the time at my studio (MilkBoy) and I’ve learned that it’s very important to let artists do their thing. Once you talk it out and have a level of trust/know that you like the idea, let them go! and we did and I love what we did together! What did you want to get across to viewers when watching the music video for "Turn The Radio Up (Own The Night)?” What did you want to make them think and feel? Don’t make god cry! We want people to think that it’s not all so HARD. That life is short and if we allow ourselves some kindness - to be kind and to accept kindness - we can make this short run here on Earth a worthy experience. It can be, in fact, a pleasure. Should we expect a similar uplifting and go-getting theme as "Turn The Radio Up (Own The Night)" within your upcoming album? Well, the next song is an uplifting tune about meth dealers who go from town to town so…YES! hahaha. You’ll see. I’m not a negative person, so you’ll have to see. What's next for you? Another two singles this summer followed by the full-length in August/September. I’ll get lunch sometime in between there, maybe! Instagram Twitter
