- See “Better Days” Ahead, With Cloverchild’s Reflective Findings
Cloverchild is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer from Chicago, Illinois. Inspired by his life experiences, Cloverchild radiates a sound and style with nostalgic comfort and invigorating grooves. Gathering influences from the music of the 70s New Wave disco and R&B, 80s funk and 90s pop and worldbeat, Cloverchild develops his sound and bridges various elements from different genres to continue to grow his dynamic style. Returning with his latest buoyant single, "Better Days," the vibrant energy of Cloverchild hails through our speakers with conviction. His soothing vocal performance ricochets in our minds as his reverberated and lighthearted croons have us explore this musical masterpiece's depths. Touching on the nostalgic era of 80s synth-pop, we feast on these elements dynamically as "Better Days" progresses. With huge percussion patterns leaving an impact as they touch down, an influential pull has us magnetically drawn to Cloverchild. There's no better way to take in the thought-evoking motifs Cloverchild professes, 'Something in the water. 'Cause every sip I take is haunted.' Jump-starting our inner findings and minds' deepest thoughts, the vast amount of self-reflection that comes in Cloverchild's expressions allows us to cohesively absorb this record. You just can't compete with such a profound connection found in music. We're officially tied into Cloverchild as an individual finding his footing in this crazy world. With a song like "Better Days" to get us grooving to the infectious beat and take us fully into the world of Cloverchild, we'll gladly extend our trip around his music catalog. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Cloverchild! Congratulations on the release of "Better Days." Could you please shine a light on the inspiration behind such thought-provoking lyrics? Thank you for listening! The inspiration comes from my inclination for nostalgia. I always seem to romanticize the past. This song shines a light on the desire that I think we all have to look at the past through rose-colored glasses. Has "Better Days" given you the closure you were looking for? I think a big part of my intention for the song is to say that there will always be better days. While I might be longing for days when I was younger, in 10 years, I might be thinking the same thing about today. So, I wouldn't say closure but more acceptance and appreciation for the time we have now. Do you happen to have a favorite lyric in this song? Why? “At the maze's end, the same old place again” - With life, sometimes it feels like you are going through a maze of meaning and understanding. For me, I get to a point where I think I am at the “end” and there is always more maze, more to understand and learn about yourself and the world. What would you want it to be if your audience were to learn something about you that they may not know? A major passion of mine is listening to, learning, and recreating different music genres. I have been doing production for over 10 years and try to constantly learn and grow musical knowledge. The music I release is often a culmination of the variety of influences I take in. If anyone has recommendations, I am open to listening! What's next for you? At the beginning of the year, I decided I would finish a song once a month. So far so good! I intend to continue to push music out on that schedule including a 5 track EP over the summer. I have been working on a live performance for the past year. I hope I can showcase that soon! Overall, I am still experimenting, trying out new things, and having fun with it. Instagram Facebook
- Feel Your Heart Flutter With Smooth Retsina Glow’s “Find Myself”
Dynamic musical trio Smooth Retsina Glow adds zest and versatility to the music scene with their passionate and refreshing new single, "Find Myself." Smooth Retsina Glow has been carving their path in the industry for the past three years. With a few lineup changes, the current band comprises guitarist/vocalist Colin Wolf, bassist Stephen Zalalas, and drummer Brian Derkas. If you're a fan of nostalgic folk-rock merged with alternative and psychedelic notes, you'll definitely enjoy the tender sounds of Smooth Retsina Glow's latest single, "Find Myself." This is the second single off the band's forthcoming album 'Metaphysical' and shares the passionate story of falling head over heels for someone who makes you a better person. Hopping into the new single, "Find Myself," the venture begins with spacious and airy background pads that lift us into a serene and otherwordly atmosphere. As Wolf begins vocalizing his doubts about a love that seems too good to be true, an array of powerful and psychedelic synths begin pouring through our speakers to lift the song even higher. Once the organic instrumentals kick in through Derkas's mid-tempo, soothing drums, and Zalalas's tender bass licks, Smooth Retsina Glow shifts the song into this vibrant and soul-soothing space that's truly impossible to ignore. Wolf continues to pour his twangy and spirited electric guitar melodies through the song while backing up the passionate atmosphere with poetic lyrics that come straight from the heart. We adore this refreshing and chilling ballad; it's truly the perfect mix of love, psychedelia, and vulnerability. Lift your heart into another dimension with Smooth Retsina Glow's latest single, "Find Myself," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome back to BuzzMusic, Smooth Retsina Glow. What a dreamy and tender listening experience you've provided with your new single, "Find Myself." What inspired you to write this vulnerable and deeply personal piece? In a way, it's a stream of consciousness- as a writer, I believe that if I try to think about something too literally, the message will be more contrived than organic. While the person I could be speaking to could apply to a lady or higher spirituality- deity, God- whatever you perceive, I like the listener to feel how it could apply to them. What sort of sound or genre approach were you aiming for with "Find Myself?" Did you have any musical influences or projects in mind during the creative process? If I have to pinpoint an influence, it would be Tame Impala, The Beatles (Namely George Harrison), The Beach Boys for harmonic ambiguity, John Mayer, Blur, and impressionistic classical music like Debussy or Ravel that go unexpected places with their chord changes- but still are listenable. What emotions or thoughts did you hope to evoke in the listener when hearing "Find Myself?" What effect do you want the song to have on your audience? As hinted about previously, I wanted the listener to feel they could have a person, entity, or spirituality that could help them find themself. Who could that be? Whomever you want it to be. I currently am on the single life- and Im on the borderline between spiritual and religious, but I am always on the lookout for the next step to help find myself- so whether or not I have seen it, I think there are many a person out there who have found themselves either with their true loves in this earth and the higher stratosphere. It's whoever you want it to be about! How does "Find Myself" tie into the theme or concept of your forthcoming album, 'Metaphysical'? Metaphysical as an album will have a number of more esoterically, philosophically tainted songs, even if it doesn't seem like that from the first listen. Find Myself is another extension of the same concept of being Metaphysical. What's next for you? Currently, we are in the process of beginning to print the physical album- in June, and it will be released on Digital, CD, and possibly vinyl configurations. Another single is in the pipeline to accompany the album dropping in June, a busy summer is lined up with a summer single- probably aiming for August, and we are already writing music for 2023 follow up, as well as booking our last couple of dates left in 2022, and starting for 2023! Thank you! I usually try to imagine how the beat would sound in a movie scene, and what vibe the beat or melody is portraying, and base my lyrics on that. It’s always a journey for artists as they anticipate the release date! How does it feel to have this particular single released? What has the feedback been like? Honestly, it’s been good I wanted this song to release for a while now, and it’s great that people get to hear it now and enjoy it, the feedback ever since the snippet dropped was positive so that’s been amazing. Is there a particular moment or story that inspired “Besos En Barbados?" Yea actually, I just recently came back from Orlando Florida after spending time with some of my friends, I noticed the weather and the place we stood was very therapeutic. I went back home a few days after, found a melody loop on my computer, and having Caribbean roots myself I started to think about those types of places with sun and great vibes. So I said Barbados, the whole thing “Besos en Barbados” came from me thinking about the term sun kiss and mixing it with Barbados and yea. Freestyled the whole song in about 26 min. It's definitely one of my fav hype songs I got. What has been your favorite part of your artistic journey this far? My favorite part about this journey is evolving and the growing fan base, I always wanna keep evolving my flows, my melodies, and sound to keep people on the edge of their seats, I love it and I love the support. What's next for you? I wanna show people different sounds, I want to bring actual meaning to the songs and everything just for people to relate to, the next couple of tracks are going to show that, and after maybe a little project but who knows, we’ll just have to see. - Paul Bailey Breaks Down How It “Shoulda Been You”
Originally from the UK, Paul Bailey had his first taste of musical inspiration during grade school music class. His principal was impressed by his musical sense, and she encouraged him to continue to pursue it. His early influences were artists like Motown and Muscle Shoals, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson. Throughout his career has also worked with a number of popular and talented producers who have been guiding him in his creative endeavors. It's no surprise to hear Paul recently signed a synchronization deal that will provide a great boost to his career. Pressing play on "Shoulda Been You," we are met with a unique, uptempo beat and striking textures that paint a picture of heartbreak and betrayal that we all can relate to. As we are introduced to Paul's well-structured vocals, he sings of his experience with a lover and how it should've been her who was betrayed and left heartbroken. His lyrics convey true emotion as he sings lyrics like: "It was love from the start, but a moment of weakness," displaying his bleeding heart on his sleeve for all to see. "Shoulda Been You" is about the betrayal, jealousy, and acrimony he felt towards his past lover's actions. The cuts are deep, and his pain is so overwhelming that you can hear his emotional struggle through his delivery. "Shoulda Been You" is an anthem for the broken-hearted. Let Paul Baily offer the redemption you need and listen to "Shoulda Been You" today on all streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic Paul Bailey. We're so pleased to have you with us. "Shoulda Been You" is a statement record for your feelings, was it a difficult process, to be honest about your emotions during the creation of it? No, because I was both connected and disconnected from what inspired me in the first place in writing this song. You will get what I mean by the follow-up questions. The production and vocal melodies on "Shoulda Been You" are so unique, what keeps you innovative and free as an artist? Watching movies, the news, conversations with friends/family, or overhearing a conversation in this case a movie. Your ability to convey a feeling across in a record is impressive, have you ever had trouble writing records, or has it always been an easy flow for you? It depends but when I catch a feeling I go with it. Case in point while watching the Movie Acrimony Staring Taraji P Henson I was so moved by the story/relationship and characters I believed I was that guy with strong belief and determination about who I am my worth and my goals even if my partner doesn’t see it, but has unconditional love for me anyways. When the relationship goes wrong it goes terribly wrong and is not able to recover. The new lady that ensues gets what the original girl should have gotten. “It Should have been you.” The message and concept were a really great choice, what advice would you give to someone who's going through the same thing that you went through? I would say aspiring writers who may have writer's block to watch movies, read a book, and listen to their favorite artists past and present. They may touch upon a situation you are in and it gives you clarity and enables you to write about it! What's next for you? I have been invited to Rotterdam this fall for the New Skool rules conference and showcase as a guest in the booth stalls set up there. As well as fielding new offers to license my music to sporting events worldwide. Instagram Facebook
- Get Ready to Rock With the Slashes
The Slashes hail from San Diego with an amplified sound dabbling in Post Punk and Border Goth. The band is composed of critical members like Esteban Rene (vocals/guitar), Beto Bautista (bass), and Carlos Robles (drums). Releasing their debut album in 2015, produced by Alan Sanderson, who worked with artists like The Rolling Stones, Elvis Costello, and Elton John. Since then, they have been nominated for a San Diego Music Award for Best Rock. Not strangers to hitting the stage and indulging listeners in a memorable performance, it was upon their return to the west coast, that they recorded "City By" with Ben Moore of Singing Serpent Studios and released the single on all streaming platforms before returning to New York for the second round of shows. Commencing with lush guitar riffs that whisk you away into a nostalgic display of rock n roll, "Valentine Slip" is the grunge-esque foundation that plays upon the classic rock components that rock is known for. Each percussion hit touches down with a colossal impact as the bass' rhythm joins along for an impeccably timed groove you can't shake. We admire the smoldering vocal performance that embeds itself into the musical arrangement before us. Cascading with the musical components to produce energy equally as moving as it is mysterious, the sense of intrigue cast out leaves us encapsulated the entire time we have "Valentine Slip" playing through our speakers. It is no surprise that The Slashes know how to work a listener's mind, which is apparent in the abstract motifs like, "I slip through. The corner library. Disarmed cape. What a pretty quarry." Thought-provoking words of this caliber have us imaging the most vivid imagery to accompany the sound waves passing by us. Taking their modernized yet classic track to the next level, we love how The Slashes produce a world of dynamism and riveting focus through the music we create. Welcome to BuzzMusic, The Slashes, and congratulations on the release of your latest single, "Valentine Slip." With a copious amount of thought going into such abstract lyrics, what moment or story inspired this song's creation? Valentine Slip was created from two points of view, lovers evading love, hence the title And a vampire evading his true nature, but will he succumb? Do you often tend to leave the interpretation of a song up to a listener, or do you like its messaging to be apparent from the start? What's your reasoning for this? Generally, I like to leave things to self-interpretation, I do lay out certain clues and May paint the general picture but it’s best to be left to the eye of the beholder- I feel about art in the same way. Out of the three of you, how do you break up the creative process for each release? Is there a formula that works for you that you tend to follow? Usually, I come up with an idea and we flesh it out. I have finished songs in the past, but we are moving forward in a more collaborative way. How have you grown as a band from your first release to now? We are definitely becoming more accomplished with our instruments, taking more risks, fine-tuning our sound, whatever that may be. What's next for you? This summer we go into the studio to record our 3rd LP, we are heading to LA to record with our good friend Manny Nieto this time around. AND we are playing in LA on May 8th at Harvard & Stone, 9 pm Free show for 21+. Instagram Facebook
- Eagerly Step Into the Unknown With Flamingo Haze’s Latest Single “All Night Long”
Hailing from Indiana and the Northside of Chicago, Flamingo Haze has a sound like no other. This holds especially true with the release of their latest single, "All Night Long." Flamingo Haze consists of David Klocek (rhythm guitar and lead vocals), Scout Klocek (bass and backup vocals), Daniel Asher (drums), and Vlad Danilkovich (lead guitar and backup vocals). The nostalgia sprinkled in the newly launched record places a modern twist on the 80s flair introduced in "All Night Long." The coming of age, indie-alternative feel plays on electro elements that have us falling for the dream-like synths and vibrant textures that gleam from this arrangement. Indulging us in a universe that raves around the narrative of stepping outside of your comfort zone to experience the fullness of life, David Kloeck wanted that to be present in the glory of "All Night Long." An immense amount of power comes from a track as poignant as such. With full-throttle energy that hurdles through the speakers, Flamingo Haze performs in the type of unity that emits a fortified aura. Behind the velvety vocals that coat your ears with a warm embrace, the lyrical motifs remain positive and uplifting as each note buoyantly matches the energy conveyed. Flamingo Haze does an exceptional job at taking us by the hand and leading us into a zone of the unknown that doesn't seem scary anymore. Flamingo Haze has us ready to conquer the day with "All Night Long" as they continue to profess heartwarming tenors. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Flamingo Haze, and congratulations on the release of your latest single, "All Night Long." With the 80s-inspired twist that's put on this modernized original, what inspired the time travel through the eras to bring this vision to life? Hey, thanks so much! This was a fun one to write! Yeah, good question! I've always been drawn into "coming of age" films growing up, so this was written with "Breakfast Club," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," and others like it in mind! Could you please shine a light on the creative process when creating "All Night Long"? Is this how the creative juices tend to flow? "All Night Long" started out as a demo by David Klocek (the lead singer of the band) -as so many of our tunes do- and was written over a couple of sessions with Mitchell Pynakker (songwriter) and finished with Taylor Moenning (Producer). We've worked with Taylor with a lot of our work and find that his production/arrangement ideas help finish these songs really great! Taylor is the producer on record for the rest of the Slow Cinema releases! Since stepping outside of your comfort zone, what has been the biggest takeaway for Flamingo Haze? Don't be afraid to try something that sounds/feels completely different! We identify as a band that writes in a free-form sense that doesn't care about the idea of cornering a genre or market. We stay close to our roots for the most part (Alt, Indie, Synth-wave) but aren't afraid to branch out and discover something new. What's your mission statement as an artist? How does "All Night Long" fit into this scope? Our mission statement is to provide honest Art that helps people feel what they're thinking and say how they feel. What's next for you? We are proud to announce that we have 2 EPs and two singles that we'll be dropping over the course of the Summer/Fall! We will also be releasing our most recent work with Chuck Alkazian, the producer at Pearl Sounds Studios! We will drop three songs with Chuck and are excited for our fans to hear those tracks! Gracing us once again with her versatile, explorative, and soulful tunes is multi-instrumentalist and producer Desarae Dee with her latest serene single, "Comfortable (feat. Macklyn)." The natural-born leader and innovator is often referred to as "Toronto's Queen of Vibes," and each of her skilled r&b/electronic pieces perfectly backs up that statement. Dee is universally recognized as a fusion pianist with music that combines a unique mixture of faith, soul, vulnerability, divine balance, and her unmatched euphoria. Now releasing her soothing new single, "Comfortable (feat. Macklyn)," the song captures Desarae Dee's blissful sonic elegance while vocalist Macklyn drenches us in euphoric and passionate vibes. Dee hopes this single will remind listeners to be okay with who they are and make time to heal and love themselves better. Jumping into the sweet new tune, "Comfortable (feat. Macklyn)," we're greeted with a nostalgic and spacey synth alongside crisp hi-hats that set the introspective and passionate r&b tone. As Macklyn's gentle and melodic vocals make their way in, he softly touches on feeling stronger and more comfortable when taking time for himself. Time and again, Desarae Dee leaves us wildly impressed with her ability to fuse genres like r&b, soul, electronic, and jazz into one cohesive song, and this piece is no exception. The Toronto-based fusion artist sonically serenades us with graceful piano melodies to balance out the electronic to organic ratio while sending us off into a harmonious and mindful daydream. This song is truly the perfect remedy for anyone struggling with pessimistic thoughts by amplifying the importance of loving and treating ourselves how we deserve. Remind yourself of your value with help from Desarae Dee and Macklyn's lush new single, "Comfortable (feat. Macklyn)," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome back to BuzzMusic, Desarae Dee. What have you been up to since your last feature with us? Man, I've been up to A LOT since my last release with BUZZMUSICLA. After my previous song, "Day 2 Day," I ended 2021 with over 120,000 streams between Spotify and Apple Music across all 7 of my song releases that year. Throughout 2021, I received five radio placements in the US and the UK for 4 of my songs, which is an amazing feeling for me. I was also featured in Wandering Autumn Magazine for their BIPOC Series and was the LOOK Magazine cover in December 2021. I've also been working behind the scenes for a company called RADIOPUSHERS. In January of this year, I was named their Digital Operations Director, and most recently, I became the official host of the Toronto Rising Podcast as the company is now branching out into Canada. So, a lot of exciting things have happened, and I'm grateful for all the accomplishments and new journeys that I'm currently on. What inspired the recent soothing and empowering single, "Comfortable (feat. Macklyn)?" My current self-care and healing journey inspired my new song, "Comfortable." The pandemic really forced me to address my triggers and childhood traumas and start to heal from them, and music has always been one of my sources of healing. Throughout my life, I struggled at times to be okay with where I was in my life and also struggled with codependency and trying to be everything for everyone and neglecting myself in the process of that. I had to take back all the energy and love that poured into others and put it back into myself. Why did you choose to have a featured vocalist on "Comfortable (feat. Macklyn)," and how did Macklyn fit what you were looking for? At first, I wasn't going to have a featured vocalist on this song because I wasn't sure of the direction I would take with it, as I had written this song almost two years ago. Once my journey of self-care and healing became the focus, I had a direction, and what a better way to tell a bit of my story than through a featured vocalist. I met Macklyn in 2021, and we had a few opportunities to collaborate on social media. We both knew that at some point, we wanted to put out music together. When I came to him about this song in particular and my vision for it, he was totally on board, and actually, his current healing journey resonated with my vision which made it even easier to put this song together. What was your mission with the release of "Comfortable (feat. Macklyn)?" What did you want to get across to listeners? My vision for "Comfortable" was to remind listeners to be okay with who they are and where they're at in life because they're constantly learning, growing, and changing, and it's important to love and take better care of themselves. The goal is to remind people how fearfully and wonderfully made they are and that it's okay to not be okay sometimes because we all go through things in life, and it's important to recognize and be aware of those things so that we can continue to grow and learn and pour love into ourselves. What's next for you? What's next? A question I'm asked a lot, but what's next is a project…..finally after six years. I'll be releasing my EP, "Self," which will give listeners a snippet of my self-care journey so far. I will also be releasing a documentary alongside the project. Stay tuned for announcements on both release dates! Facebook

Originally born and raised in Huntsville, AL, and now residing in North Carolina, Dana White is a self-taught singer/songwriter, creator, producer, and content designer. We love "Rejuvenation" and appreciate the message it comes with. What was your primary source of creativity, and how did you first come up with the concept? My source of creativity was the love I finally found for myself, the love of my life, and the love spiritually that is the source of my naturally peaceful nature and heart of service. "Rejuvenate" gives off such good vibes and so much clarity overall. Who would you say inspired you most while growing up to achieve what you did with this song? I would say that just my love for music of all genres and coming from a musical family inspired me to make music. Of course, one of the main people that comes to mind is my nephew, Marcello, who started as a Christian rapper and allowed me to record my first song with him, which started my push in pursuing my career. As an artist, what was one moment in your career that you cherish and think about when you are down or in a difficult situation? The one moment I think about in my career that keeps me going is God allowing positive people always to find their way to me and keep pushing me forward. "Rejuvenation" holds our soul but do you think you'll ever branch out and dabble in different genres? If not, why? I love all types of musical genres. The album I am working on has other genre elements, such as pop, dance, and electronic sounds. My dream is to finally make an all dance house album that is 90's inspired, such as Hathaway's "What is love" era. This is one of my favorite go-to genres. I also like artists like Sade. What's next for you? I am hoping to reach more with my love-inspired music to where I can finally do this as a full career. I want to have my first tour. I also want to work and collaborate with some of my favorite artists eventually. I want to create spaces for creative individuals, fundraisers, businesses, inspire others, and more. Most importantly, I want to make a life for my partner to retire and enjoy life together and travel because they have worked from a very young age, and I want to not see them in so much pain from working so hard for those who don't value them. - All You Need Is Edison’s “L.O.V.E.”
The future of R&B music has a lot to look forward to, and Edison is an artist that fits into this perfectly. At the age of two, he was heavily exposed to music, with the radio always being on at home. Listening to R&B music inspired him to become an R&B artist himself, as he listened to artists like Usher, Boyz II Men, Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, and many more. In early 2016, Edison was discovered and signed by Static Records C.E.O. MK Henderson, who was very intrigued by Edison's uniqueness as an artist. As a singer-songwriter, Edison is one to look out for with each captivating release, including the sounds of "L.O.V.E." Tapping into a nostalgic soundscape as he performs with a dreamy passion, the inimitable croons of Edison illuminate our minds in a rather heartfelt way. R&B is known for the emotion poured into the genre. Well, Edison seems to understand the assignment and excel in this area. His soothing vocal delivery has us lathering ourselves in the saturated timbres he professes. He reiterates melodic wording like, "Baby, baby, you know your touch is fine. I just need your lips. I just need your kiss." We're pulled into a real universe that reflects our thoughts and sentiments as humans. Edison's hold over us is uncanny, playing into love and its greater power. We feel immersed in his heartrending lyrical motifs as each word shed provides us with a warm embrace. The key to the musical foundation acting as a therapy session is how the impactful percussion and rhythm section will have you grooving to the sonic ambiance gracing our presence. Lost in the beauty that's "L.O.V.E.," we're thrilled to have Edison take us by the hand and lead us to this profound masterpiece. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Edison, and congratulations on releasing your latest single, "L.O.V.E." You have such a way with your words and how you choose to share them with us. Was there a particular story or moment that allowed inspiration to strike for this record? No, not really. The song, I think, goes back to my roots from when I first started making music. When I first started, I always viewed love as this special vibe in all of us that everyone gets to enjoy. I performed the song before actually recording it at a show a few months before the release, and the crowd wanted me to release the song so bad that I thought I needed to find the perfect time to do it. So when Valentine's Day was around the corner, I thought, let's release this song because it's a song that for me means "used to be," but for someone today, it could mean "what I have" and "what I could have." Have you ever told someone you've based a song on them or your experience together? Why? I have not, at least not yet. I always tell people within my circle which songs are about certain people, but so far, I haven't told any of the girls that certain songs are about them. I want to keep them in the dark about those. The reason why I don't tell them is that so far, the main songs I have written about them are diss tracks. I don't believe I have one love song about someone. Once things change in time, there will be more love songs for a special someone, but that will have to wait. In your own words, what does your song "L.O.V.E." mean to you? For me, it means what things used to be. I used to believe that love was something that was enjoyable, but as I was growing up, I saw how many people weren't meeting anyone right for them. I made this song for people who are lucky enough to have someone they love. It is more about them than it is about me. I hope everyone who has listened to L.O.V.E. can listen to it in every romantic moment they have planned for now and in the near future. How have you found your growth as an artist from your first release? I find it but studying every day when it comes to music. I have to learn from all the greats ahead in my past and present. My growth is always in the experience, which I know I talk about a lot, but music is all about soul speaking. I also found my growth by asking questions, listening to notes, and making time for myself by just writing. I've gotten more creative by just writing, and it is the best exercise you can give yourself as an artist. What's next for you? There's a lot that's coming up next. You'll see me do a lot more acting this year with movie projects, whether small or big films. Of course, there is always new music, and there might be a special mixtape or album on the way. You never know. Instagram Facebook

We're honestly impressed with your recent single's engaging experience and passionate vibes, "You Got It." What inspired you to create such a warm and loving tune? Well, if I’m being honest, “You Got It” was originally a song I wrote for a challenge given to me by Jay Dixon, my manager at the time. He wanted to see if I could write a hit record that was suitable for the radio as well. As far as creating the record, I took inspiration from life and personal experiences to expand on the idea of recognizing the beauty, passion, and ambition that women have and the reminiscing feeling of being introduced to these characteristics. What was your songwriting process like for "You Got It?” Was it easy for you to express yourself and create cohesive lyrics/bars that represent how you feel? I always start off by free-styling the melody and then adding words to the melody I decide to use. The lyrics kind of just came to me since the content of the song was something I felt very strongly about. When writing the song, I was in a zone that put me in a position to put my all into making a song for the women I admire in my life. I wanted to make sure that some of the lyrics didn’t just relate to not only a lover but also a sister, mother, friend, or stranger to give them that reassurance. Who produced the contemporary and groovy r&b/hip-hop sonics for "You Got It?" What sort of vibe did you want the instrumentals and production to offer? The beat was produced by Chris Beatz and was sent to me by my manager, so I didn’t really have a say on the production side of the song. I took it upon myself to add harmonies to the chorus to give the hook and instrumentation of the beat more life. What should we expect to hear and experience from your forthcoming full-length project this year? Will "You Got It" feature on the project? For my upcoming project, the audience can expect to hear more of me bridging the RnB and Hip-Hop sounds. The project will include “You Got It” and five other records that will give the world just a hint of my sound since this is only the beginning. I want the audience to experience a breath of fresh air when listening to this project because it’s authentic. It’s me, which is rare to find these days. What's next for you? I’m looking to release more videos and content about my life, produce my own beats, and simply provide more work for all my fans and newcomers to absorb. In addition to the “You Got It” visual, I have three videos scheduled to be released for my upcoming project. Be sure to check out my freestyle and other content I will be posting on a weekly basis.
