- Operation Underground Takes Us On a Contrasting Journey With Rap Single "Bad Blood"
Rap duo Operation Underground is here from Denver, CO, to bring a more raw and authentic rap style to the music game. Being influenced by artists such as Eminem, Tupac, and The Beastie Boys, Operation Underground display that their sound is multi-faceted via the contrast between the duo's executions. The differed styles, once combined together, bring about a sound that is both contemporary and old-school. The duo only formed in late October of 2018, and already they've seemed to put together the sound they really believe is changing the way things are done within the scene. "Bad Blood" is the most recent single offering from Operation Underground, where the duo brings about a sultry appeal coupled with a more intense and elemental rap execution. The track's wordplay is clever, where Operation Underground takes the track to speak on "bad blood" expressions and experiences. One element that protruded out to us the most was how original sounding the rap style was with this duo. We can guarantee that you haven't quite heard a rap style as unrefined as Operation Underground. The flow of verses comes naturally, and you can easily tell that there wasn't much fabrication that went into the production of "Bad Blood". The track sounds as real as it can get, and with the alluring chorus to frequently stimulate listeners in a different sense, the track itself proves to be incredibly dynamic. We're interested to see where the duo takes themselves next, that's for sure. Check out "Bad Blood" by Operation Underground here. instagram.com/operationunderground twitter.com/OperationUnder1 facebook.com/TheOperationUnderground
- “SLEEPN ON ME” Is One For The Books
Welcome to Buzzmusic Flyygurl314. You began writing songs at such an early age. Can you tell us how your songwriting elevated throughout the years and in what ways has your inspiration transcended from your early stages of writing to now? Thank you for having me first off and to be honest I was limited to talk about a certain thing is that I was only 8 so I had to write about kiddy things and plus I haven’t gone through anything in life to be writing about things everyone can relate on. English and composition/ literature were one of my favorite subjects in school. My writing has changed so much the older I’ve grown and the knowledge I’m learning and experiencing so many things people can relate to. When I write songs now you never know if it’s about someone I know, me personally or just things people go through in life but don’t know how to put it in a song. How were you able to cultivate your own unique sound of rap while taking from your various influences like Da Brat, Left Eye, Mc Lyte, and many more powerful female emcees? Can you describe to us the rap scene as well in St. Louis and how you integrated your style with your environment? Well I just wanted to be different and take a different route in the rap game because most females aren’t rapping fast where you can still understand them I don’t think too many are rapping fast at all and fast rap goes unnoticed because people are stuck trying to fit in and sound the same I hear a lot of people saying they want something different so that’s what I’m trying to do. St. Louis music scene they all actually talk about the same thing guns drugs etc and it’s cool but need something different. I also feel like fast rap is something the Mid-West can almost claim. We have so many dope artists who can rap fast along with Busta Rhymes, Eminem and many more. So I feel like as a female it’s something different like female rappers pave the way so we have to keep it going, to be honest. You know your dope when you have dudes coming to you saying your music is dope then that’s a sign to keep going strong so that’s what I’m going to continue to do. But I’m also bringing hip-hop back when it was fun like the 90’s era and had punch lines and metaphors. Your single “SLEEPN ON ME” was a hard-hitting banger. What were your intentions with this song and how were you able to challenge yourself creating it? To be honest, it started out as a #AllBars freestyle I had did a few years back and it was this ad going around on Facebook about the hottest artist in St. Louis so I signed up picked a beat and went back to that freestyle and kept the parts that were hard and added extra lines to them and only had 3 verses no hook and a day later was had to record was late for session so never got to finish the song producer like it and was offer to write hooks and verses and sell them only to make extra cash but turned it down and a month later went back and finished the song added the hook got it to mix and mastered and from then on everybody loved it and was asking for a video lol, to be honest, I didn’t really think the song would turn out like that but it’s more hits on the way soon. It’s like the songs you didn’t think we're going to be well turned out to be a dope song despite being late for the session and going back and finishing the song a month later. Are there any deeper lyrical messages behind the metaphors in “SLEEPN ON ME”? Basically the message of the song is that I finally decided to take music seriously and to other people, it’s like I just came out of nowhere and I have bars and I’m very talented, my flow is on point and it’s nobody like me but record labels, A&R’s, etc are Sleepn on good talent because they want everyone to sound the same but they say they want people to stand out but not knowing I been doing this since I was 8 years old. instagram.com/flyygurl314 #BuzzMusic

- Noah Horne Takes Us to a New Place With “Party With the Lights Off”
Noah Horne is an up-tempo pop artist from Norfolk, UK. Surrounded by encouraging people and artistic influences, Noah has had the fortitude and talent to become a great artist. He brings different elements to his music, including playing the harp in many of his songs. This kind of creativeness led him to the creation of a trilogy of songs (Seventeen, Astronaut, and Lift-Off). His latest single, “Party With the Lights Off”, has Noah venturing into a newer dance-pop sound. “Party With the Lights Off” presents a good vibe, but at the same time makes listeners feel like they are getting wild at a club. As with many dance-pop songs, “Party With the Lights Off” begins with a synth line. This line is used to get the rhythm of the track going. As the drums emerge, we feel the strong sub-punchy club vibes. However, the song really begins to peak when Noah’s vocals are introduced. He isn’t necessarily singing the whole time, but there are speaking parts. The tonal qualities of his voice add to the vibe, and when he sings it’s like an extra gem in the song. “Party With the Lights Off” also has a breakdown that takes the song to a new place momentarily. “Party With the Lights Off” takes listeners on a dance-like journey through the club. Hey Noah Horne! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Our team is really happy to be representing you and your new single “Party with the Lights Off”. Growing up, you mentioned that you had the opportunity to go on a teen TV show, did that experience make you realize then that that wasn’t for you? Or do you still have some aspirations to go back onto television? Oh my goodness, you and your team have literally gone to the moon and back for me - I'm actually so honored you guys are premiering and representing me. Yes - 'Party with the lights off' is my newest song and I'm actually so psyched to share it with you all. There's been a couple of opportunities as a teen, where I had the opportunity to go on television, but never got through past the stages. In some ways, I'm glad I didn't get cast in TV shows because it wouldn't have shaped me then way I am now. By all means, I've toured across Europe, performed in the BBC Radio 1 Academy Open Mic - I've done a lot. But I feel I wouldn't be as grounded if I had made it or broken it so young. Having said that, I would love to get back into acting - have always been a performer. Fun fact: I considered pursuing a career in acting before music. Everything happens for a reason though, and I genuinely believe that I'm on the right path. You also mentioned that you play the harp in many of your tracks. Is there some harp in “Party with the Lights Off”? Do you add a lot to the productions of your songs as well? I do yes! In all of the songs, I record and get the harp blended in the song whichever producer I'm collaborating with. For this song, we played the harp and then reversed it to give that interesting atmospheric background for the club track. The future tracks are gonna have even more harp in it - blended with all the super fun pop stuff haha :) I've trained on harp and I just love it as an instrument - I just hope I can get more people to see it's pretty cool:D Growing up, you had a lot of positive communities surrounding you. Could you elaborate and tell us some specifics about the groups who supported you? Most of the really positive communities were my family and friends. In Norfolk, people have survived by relying on each and coming together. My family has always been amazing. It was difficult at times, as I was always into creating or being creative when I was a kid, and most people around me weren't the creative types and didn't always understand why I loved being so expressive. It was partly why people may have isolated me. There have been very few people who have 100% believed in me, and sometimes I still feel like that - but the community and family I do have to love me and support me regardless and I am so eternally grateful for everything they have given me. This track is definitely one I can be seen being heard in clubs. Do you have any plans to write some more laid backtracks in the future of your career? Me too - I have already lots of confirmation that this will be played in clubs across the US, hopefully in the UK too! Spoilers ahead hehe - there maybe another ballad song dropping later this year, I'm doing a less intense club song soon which is more relaxed, which I hope you guys will love! But there is a vocoder ballad which I'm dropping later this year - it's gonna be very emotional like Lift-Off but perhaps more electronic ;) What can we expect to see from Noah Horne throughout 2020? A lot of fun stuff - more music, more (good) drama and hopefully everything going sky high - the next six months are gonna be so incredible. I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for always supporting me with everything. You guys have been so amazing to me - I can't wait to share my new music with you! :D noahhornemusic.com instagram.com/noah_horneofficial twitter.com/NHorne_official facebook.com/noahhorneofficial #BuzzMusic
- Angel Dweh Releases Captivating R&B Single “Salud”
Based in Los Angeles, Angel Dweh is an up-and-coming singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor who was born in Liberia, Africa. He stumbled upon his passion for music at a very young age and has been developing his wide array of artistic expertise ever since. Angel Dweh is a multitalented artist who is known for bridging multiple genres in his songwriting and giving his audience a unique and truthful sound. He often creates music that combines aspects of R&B and pop music while he tells a story with his lyrics. Creating his songs under the stage name Angel, he has just released a new single called “Salud.” This track effectively encompasses traditional R&B aspects but also includes his own cultural and honest flair. The backtrack consists of gentle orchestra bells and a trap-like beat as Angel hums the melody to “Salud.” His vocals echo in the background, giving “Salud” a mysterious underlying tone. Vocally, Angel has an attention-grabbing voice that makes you want to hear more once you get a taste. With his use of the word “Salud”, it is unclear whether Angel Dweh is saying “salute” as a gesture of respect, or the Spanish word “salud” that represents health, wealth and security. It is very possible that Angel Dweh is using a healthy combination of both meanings. Lyrically, the words “salud to the king, salud to the master” are repeated multiple times throughout “Salud,” making the song seem like an homage to a powerful person. A great classic R&B hit with Angel Dweh's own spin. Listen to "Salud" here. Welcome back to BuzzMusic Angel Dweh! Your song “Salud” had an endearing sound, but the message is somewhat mysterious for listeners. Can you tell us more about the message of your song? Thank you so much for having me! "Salud" the message of the song "Salud" is giving appreciation for everything that is happening in life but realizing that the is one person who needs the overall appreciation and it God. I wanted to give God thanks for everything he's doing in my life, let look at the lyric of the song, in the song I sing "I pray for guidance, I pray for your mercy" I am basically saying to God that in everything, I am still in need of his help, despite every accomplishment, and hardship life threw at me. I feel that sometimes we need to look back at our lives and see the things that have happened and be grateful for them. And with my new song "Salud" I am giving a gesture of respect, homage along with polite recognition to the highest. You have many artistic talents including singing, songwriting, dancing, and acting. How did you develop all of these talents, and why did you choose to pursue a career in singing and songwriting? Well! singing has always been apart of my life, my mom used to sing to me when I was like 4-5 years old, I remember she will always sing in the house, we had devotion worship in our house when growing up. Additionally, my mom still sings to me and my siblings, she's making me and my siblings take turns leading devotion worship. As for dancing and acting, I learn dancing by doing freestyle on my own in my parent's house and watching artists like Usher, Chris Brown, James Brown and Micheal Jackson and many more. As for acting its came alone from doing musical theater shows & plays in high school, and community theaters but also from being in few film projects. Songwriting is something that just happens after I wrote my first single "Love a Good Thing" I realize that songwriting is in me, and writing my own songs is amazing because doing every process I am always true to myself which helps to bring out my sound. You combine multiple genres in your songs including R&B, hip-hop, and pop. Why did you choose these specific genres to create your style of music? Choosing these genres is because they each have their own vibe, and helps me to be creative with my craft, but to tell my messages to a broad audience. “Salud” had a sound, unlike most R&B songs. In your other songs do you maintain this style of music? Or are you always switching up your sound? I always maintain my sound in every song. However, doing the creative process of each song I am always in the mindset of variety. And with every producer I've worked with before the recording process begins, I always explained the story behind each song to my producers, and then we will go on and create the vibe I want on a song. What can your fans anticipate next from you, Angel Dweh? My fans can expect an EP, with visual music videos that would become to Youtube and other streaming platforms. They can also expect a Documentary Film that would be coming to Youtube and Amazon Prime soon! - The Folk Rock of E.R.I.E.
E.R.I.E. recently released their "Fears Come Runnin'" single and it's got a way of getting into your brain and not letting go. Guitar hooks in classic rock style and a chorus that runs laps in your rear long after the song had its say all give the track a compelling stature among the music catalog playing in your head. The song also packs a punch in terms of energy and clears a path for its counterpart "Fire Away". The songs are both relatable and seem to be heartfelt inspirations performed with an actual passion. - Joules Give Us an Exclusive Look Into Their Moving Single "Please"
Welcome to BuzzMusic Joules! Can you tell us about the formation of your trio? What drove you three to come together and create a band? I started playing with Marvin (guitar) and PJ (drums) about two years ago. We got together with the aim of doing only original tunes. We had all been in other original bands and had admired each other for a while before playing together. everything fell into place very easily with us! Congratulations on the release of your new single "Please". What’s the message you hope your listeners to take away from it? What does "Please" mean to you? When our good friend, Sam, committed suicide right after the band formed, we were all exceptionally shocked. It seemed like he had everything going for him, and his girlfriend had just had a baby boy. We realized that it is not always obvious when people are struggling, and we just couldn't wrap our heads around it. That is how the song came into being. We want the song to open up a dialogue among people....sometimes when a friend is getting high too much or displaying behavior that is atypical for them, it can mean something really bad is going on....hopefully listeners will take that away. Start Talking about what is really going on with the people you care about. Talk to us about the production of “Please”? In what ways did you seek to embody the message of the song through the video? The video resulted from some more mutual friends hearing the song. Jesse McMinn (the videographer) was a good friend of PJs and played in another band with him. When Jesse heard the song, he really wanted to do a video. All the actors in the video are friends of ours, and all have had their lives touched by this silent epidemic of suicide. People in their 20's, mostly, who seemed to have everything to live for... What can we expect to see from Joules throughout 2020? We are in the studio now and will be releasing 9 or 10 new tunes over the course of the next year. We like to do tunes one at a time, our process is very intense and it seems like this is the method that works best for us. We have also been playing a lot of gigs locally and plan to continue getting our live show out to our fans, and keep on playing the new tunes until they feel ready to record. - “Summer Nights” by Doza Is This Years Summer Anthem
Doza is a Mexican-American rapper, who continuously is hitting his fans with new flavors of himself. Being in the Atlanta scene from such a young age, he had no option but to listen and create a variety of music. "Summer Nights" is just one side of himself; Doza hits any kind of beat. "Summer Nights" is a softer kind of song, but don’t be confused when you hear him on a hard Carti-type beat. Doza is undeniably one of these most versatile rappers to hit the new hip-hop scene, and "Summer Nights" just emphasizes this and his artistry. Doza shows gratification towards his Mexican side in this track with the instrumental. Flamenco-styled guitars start off the tune with sensible intentions to get the listeners in a summer-ish mood. Immediately this kind of vibe makes anyone want to get up and move their body. Not to mention the bass is absolutely booming, which adds to the motion of "Summer Nights". Furthermore, Doza does a great job of keeping vocal rhythm throughout the song. It never feels like the song is going to slow down anytime soon, and it always keeps the listener interested. However, at the ending of this song, the whole track slows down in pitch and in speed, finally letting the listeners unwind. Doza did a great job of keeping control of this piece and letting each individual shine at the right moments. Listen to "Summer Nights" here. Hey Doza! Welcome to BuzzMusic, we are very proud to be representing your latest track “Summer Nights.” Listening to your discography, you definitely don’t like to drive in one lane music-wise, meaning you're very versatile. Is there any type of genre you would like to break into that you haven’t had the chance to yet? I think the one genre that I personally haven't dived into as much as I should is the whole scream rap sub-genre like zillakami and them. Growing up in Atlanta, it allowed you to experience a lot of different types of music. Do you think that this has allowed you to create your own type of music without being tied down to one genre? Most definitely, what a lot of people don't know is that besides the trap sound there is a whole underground scene and different artists making their own waves and their own style of music and not just sticking to the same old trap beats and sound. The city is full of talented artists who deserve to get heard. A lot of your lyrics are about coming from the bottom and really making a name for yourself. Can you name one experience you have had recently where you can really see that your inspirations have changed you mentally or physically? One experience that has changed me in all the jealousy and hating on other artists that I used to have when I first started making music kind of faded away. I told myself that I should never hate on another man's success and that my time is sure to come with a little bit of hard work, dedication, and patience everything will pay off. In your tracks, you always mention your producer’s name in the title. Do you enjoy collaboration in your field? Do you ever get to create your beats with other producers? I always enjoy working with different producers and coming up with new sounds. Producers, mixers, and engineers don't deserve the credit that they're due. They're the reason why they make you sound the way you do. In a way, they hold the power in making what could be your next hit. That's why I always give credit where credit is due. Thank you for talking with us Doza, and congratulations on "Summer Nights". What can we expect to hear next from you? "Sins & Virtues" album drops on the 28th of February. I'm also working on a small collaborative ep with my collective "Black Rose" that should be dropping around April/May hopefully and also another small ep from me. Just know this is only the beginning for myself and my team as we're planning on taking over this year just wait. Thank you! - Australian Rapper, Singer and Songwriter Drops Debut Single “Come and Go”
Mohsin Qureshi, artistically known as SIN, just dropped his debut single “Come and Go” and it deserves a listen. Originally from Hyderabad, Pakistan, this Australian based rapper migrated to Sydney at a young age. His music is heavily influenced by American rap culture mixed with the more laid-back Aussie way of life. “Come and Go” provides us with a reminder that all things in life are temporary and SIN’s poetic approach to lyrics is raw and intriguing. His rapping is clean and his lyrics are refreshing. Lyrics like “temporary life I know, borrowed breath just rise and fall” depict the transitory aspects of life and just how quickly things may change. The song starts off with a soft melody with a dark and serious feel that is soon backed up by a catchy beat. Details added to the track, like the flute melody, clearly illustrate SIN’s ability to not only grab a listener’s attention but to understand how which tones will complement the tone of the track. We’re looking forward to SIN’s exciting future. Stream "Come and Go" here. instagram.com/sin_347 #BuzzMusic
- "No Matter" What Happens, Gran Cavallo’s New Song Will Keep You Dancing
Combining Groove and rock n’ roll has never sounded so good. Gran Cavallo has delivered a top-notch new song with a message we can get behind. Have you ever had one of those days where nothing is going your way? You feel like the world is wearing you down, but you still must carry on. Apparently, Gran Cavallo has had a few of those days too as you can hear in his new song "No Matter". With salacious vocals that you can’t help but get lost in and the dancing chords of an electric guitar, this song perfectly combines groove and rock n’ roll. Gran Cavallo, also known as Jack Berry, has had a successful career in music thus far. He is no stranger to the music scene, having played at festivals like Toronto’s North by North East and SXSW’s Red Gorilla Festival to name a few, as well as winning the Hard Rock Cafe's North American battle of the bands. Originally from Reno, Nevada, the songster left Los Angeles to move to Tennessee where he would find the perfect environment for his unique music to flourish. It was in Music City that he perfected the sounds that we have all come to know and love. Gran Cavallo’s groove-heavy rock n’ roll, drips with swagger and sexiness. The beat will propel you to your feet, while Jack’s voice will make you melt. This combination of effects is intoxicating, and it’s hard to stop listening to Jack’s music once you start; "No Matter" what you do. Hello Gran Cavallo, welcome to Buzz Music and thank you for being here. Your voice has left us speechless over here, yet the beat has us brimming with energy. How would you describe the production process of creating such a dynamic song? Well thank you kindly for saying so. With the production approach on this song and the upcoming tracks I had made a conscience decision to place the drums and bass as the focal points, as opposed to building around a riff or a hook. Having that backbone there gives so much more space to either respect or take advantage of. In "No Matter," you sing about having an off day, yet not letting it disrupt your rhythm. This is a very important message for people to hear because we often find ourselves being a victim to our circumstances. What advice would you give a fan whois going through a rough time? An “off day” is one way to put it for sure. I think not becoming a victim is the trickiest of maneuvers. Most all situations I find myself in have stemmed from decisions I’ve made leading up to that circumstance which was a perspective I let take the first foot on this song. It’s the, “well, you got yourself into this - now get out.” One thing about matters of the heart however, is you don’t necessarily learns the lessons right away and quite likely you find yourself in similar situations time and time again. There’s a good deal of forgiveness you have to give yourself there because the head and the heart don’t always run hand in hand but as long as you keep moving things figure themselves out. You have garnered quite a lot of success as Jack Berry. Can you tell us why you decided to create the Gran Cavallo project as well? I wanted to present the music and the performance with more atmosphere, with more vibe and open endedness. I wanted to let the songs breathe without the notion there’s a singular perspective or personality at the helm. And Gran Cavallo looks cooler on a teeshirt. You were born and raised in Reno, Nevada and eventually, you moved to Tennessee for music. What effect do you think these two places have had on your sound? Reno is this oddly charming little paradox and as a kid I struggled with what that meant to me and of me. As I’ve gotten older and stopped trying to control the narrative so much I start to embrace that dichotomy of my home town and myself and it translates into the music as well. It’s a whole hell of a lot easier to just create without a filtration system of what you believe you’re intended to provide to people. I think as long as what you’re drawing from is with honesty, people will resonate with it. If you’re full of shit you get sniffed out quick. Especially in a music town like Nashville. I’m constantly challenged as a player and a writer here and I love that. “Be better, suck less” is my motto. What can fans anticipate next from you? Going to be laying out singles over the next few months leading up to an EP, playing out through the summer in the meantime. This thing’s just getting going and I don’t intend it to stop anytime soon. grancavallo.com facebook.com/grancavallo instagram.com/grancavallo #BuzzMusic
