  • Eventually Epic Displays Eclecticism With the Release of "Shoes"

February 21 | BuzzMusic Eventually Epic is here to show off their collection of harmonious music. Eventually Epic consists of members Debarun Bhattachariya, Sachin Premasuthan, and Ryan Nilsen. The trio performs across many venues and finds success with their multi-faceted, contemporarily, and genre-bending sound. The music group has recently released another one of their unique singles, titled "Shoes". The track ventures through compassion and humanity. Eventually Epic is a group that uses their music as a platform. In this song, they specifically use "Shoes" to send a message of unity and acceptance. The trio has always been fixated on promoting regeneration and harmony. With "Shoes", there is a progression of these ideas and other fundamentally positive messages. "Shoes" is a track that begins with a serene tempo, and eventually progresses to a folksy, electric rhythm. The one thing that interested us the most in "Shoes" is the eclectic and varied melodies that are present throughout the track. Such melodies are captured by electric guitar, a soft drum presence, light Tamborine, and/or integrated flute; the overall tunes are remarkable!. “Shoes" stays consistent with the use of acoustic sound with an overall rustic element included. Listeners can feel the humanity that Eventually Epic expresses. The "Shoes" music video was produced/directed by Andy Chun and the song was produced by Jeet S. Paul at Synergy Audio Productions. Tyler Boone will be performing at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on February 29. Grab your tickets here and check out Tyler Boone's "Paper Wings (WAJ Remix)" on Spotify. Hey, Tyler Boone! Welcome back! "Paper Wings (WAJ Remix)" has finally debuted! Would you say your vision stayed consistent for the way this track was constructed? Where do you feel you were artistically challenged while creating this track if you were at all? The original track "Paper Wings" hit over 1 million streams at the end of 2019 so I decided to reach out & collaborate with the incredible Majeed Fick to produce a pop remix in the vein of something like John Mayer's "New Light". We released a remix "Short Skirt, Bare Knees" (MAJ Remix) with my single "Short Skirt, Bare Knees" back in October of last year and figured we could do even better this time and make something totally different then we have done before. I wanted Majeed to have full creative control on this remix and I believe it came out amazing. What were the predominant themes of "Paper Wings" and how do you feel you ultimately connected with listeners during this track? The original track is a very chill Americana vibe, kinda country really and this remix is totally a different thing but in terms of electronic music, it is a "pop" chill dance remix. It's cool, I really love the melody Majeed wrote to compliment what was already going on. Let's talk about how the release of "Paper Wings (MAJ Remix)" came alongside your new label signing with Antifragile Music (Tom Sarig's label) and headlining show! How do you feel about your headlining show at The Hotel Cafe (Los Angeles) next week on February 29? Also please tell us about this label signing! Like most musicians, my dream as a young kid was to always get signed to a record label, so personally, this is very big for me. I connected with Tom Sarig the founder of Antifragile Music through my artist management service company Artist Formula (Spotify, Instagram, YouTube) & my bourbon brand "Boone's Bourbon" - We both became fans of one another and after mentioning to him I was working on a new album, he offered for me to release it through his record label. The full-length album will be more in the vein of Alternative, Rock Blues and will be released later this summer. I also recently relocated to Los Angeles and even though I have performed The Hotel Cafe before, this will be my 1st headlining gig and I'm bringing the band, can't wait! Special shoutout to Mookie of KCSN 885 FM & both Ed & Alyssa over at KX935! Looking back at your accomplishments thus far, do you feel that you've hit all of the goals you've set out for yourself once you began your artistic career? I told myself if I didn't sign to a record company before I was 30, I would maybe need to start doing something else. I signed when I was 29, so that was that :) I feel as if 2020 is going to be the best year yet for me, but you are never really ever satisfied, going to need to keep working What can we expect to see next from you, Tyler Boone? The full-length album will be released this summer which is very exciting and my Boone's Bourbon is apart of the Louisville Trifesta music festivals this summer (past headliners are Metallica, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Foo Fighters, Guns N Roses, Robert Plant, ZZ Top, etc...) We'll be announcing a show later this March with one of the festivals! It's going to be a great 2020! Facebook Twitter Instagram Website #BuzzMusic

  • Uché Brings the Groove in His New Single "Whatever" Ft. Bootsy Collins

February 21 | BuzzMusic After wowing the world with his world-class performances on the 2019 American Idol stage, Uché has come through to deliver an equally sensational single "Whatever" featuring the legendary Bootsy Collins. "Whatever" captures the bounce and flow of funk and groove, in a way the greats like Prince, George Clinton and Bootsy Collins himself would be proud of. Uché re-funkifies the old Bootsy Collins P-funk tune and embellishes it with a few modern touches. By doing this, he breathes new life into a genre that has become increasingly rare to find. With his raspy and versatile voice, Uché takes us on a journey with sexy lows, emotional mids and funky highs that seamlessly divide the song into perfect sections. This ain’t the P-funk party anymore, this is the Uché party; and I’ll tell you what, just like that infectious bassline- it slaps! This song delivers on all fronts: lyrically, sonically and energetically. It is the type of song that calls out to you and makes you get on your feet and dance, and that’s exactly what the enigmatic artist does when he gets on stage. There is no doubt that Uché’s experience on the American Idol stage, as well as, opening for Demi Lovato and B.O.B has prepared him for this stage of his career and we cannot wait to see what he does next. Stream "Whatever" here and check out our exclusive interview with Uché below. Hey Uché! It's great to have you at BuzzMusic. Most may recognize you from 2019's Top 10 American Idol finalists. How did American Idol prepare you for the industry and your new release? Idol was boot camp, like "superstar boot camp." It was legit one of the hardest things I've ever done, I actually have some form a mild PTSD, a few of the castmates do. Mentally it was laborious because were just slapped in the face with fame which also means we got our first taste of trolls and dealing with hella people's opinions of us WHILE having to focus, prepare, and perform against the best talent in the country for your dream. The mental toughness I've gained is definitely something that has helped me navigating life in the industry. Collaborating with Bootsy Collins for 'Whatever' must have been a surreal experience. What was it like for you? Hell yeah, that shit was wild. I've looked up to Bootsy for so long. He's always seemed like this far away untouchable supreme being for so long. When I learned about him, just knowing someone like him existed and was successful, even legendary, in music made me feel like I could actually do this for real. I had like an epiphany; I could be black dude AND be different & weird. I could have a place in music AND I didn't have to be a rapper or a trade & swagged out, an R&B singer. I could be a f****** rockstar. Then he DM'd me and I died. What does 'Whatever' mean to you? What message do you hope listeners take from it? Soo, I've never been in love but this song is kind of like my fantasy. Cause when I do finally find that person I'm gonna put them on. I'm a good ass boyfriend. I'm gonna give them whatever they want, whatever they need, I'm gonna hook it tf up. I'm doing all that cute shit, I see in those annoying ass "Rom-Com's". Low key this song is the equivalent of me shamelessly sliding into everyone like, "Aye, can I have yo numba? ... can I have it?" haha mad tv nostalgia. Your live performance is really compelling and electrifying. What would you say to an artist who's just starting out and is trying to get comfortable with the stage? I always say, "People paid to see a show, so give them a show." If you notice a lot of your favorite artists are necessarily the best dancers, they just don't be giving a fuck. They'll do their busted-ass two-step and we will LIVE for it, the only difference is that they do it with confidence. No one is expecting you to get up there and be Micheal Jackson but they are expecting you to get up there, have fun, and give a show. The crowd just wants to enjoy themselves but you have to let loose and enjoy yourself first. What can we expect to see next from Uché? You can expect an album out this Spring. We're also working on a documentary. Also, this is kind of exclusive but we're planning on going on tour with Bootsy Collins. You can also expect a reply if you DM me on Instagram & badass content if you go subscribe to my Youtube Channel both at "UcheSings" HA, love a shameless plug. instagram.com/uchesings youtube.com/uchesings twitter.com/uchesings facebook.com/uchesings #BuzzMusic

  • Peach Guevara Tells All About New Release "Montreal" and What This City Means to Her

February 21, 2020 Hey Peach Guevara! We loved your latest single “Montreal”. In what ways has your experience living in Montreal and its environment influenced this song? Well, when I wrote the song I had only been to Montreal once 5 years before for a music festival. Montreal was an idea in my head. “Montreal” had soft instrumentation and delicate warm vocals! How would you describe your creative approach towards this song? Did you experiment with any new sounds or elements? Writing Montreal helped open up my vocals. Before writing Montreal I didn't think that I could sing high notes. At the time of creating this song I really wanted to challenge that idea in my head. Knowing you’re redefining your own version of Punk Rock, In what ways do you take inspiration from the genre and cultivate it into your own unique sound? It's interesting because I don't write with the intention of sounding a certain way. Things just kind of come out and flow together. I will say where I do take inspiration from is the rawness and honesty. I really try to get out what I'm truly feeling, and I think that's what punk is about. What’s the overall meaning behind “Montreal”? What inspired you to write this? What inspired me to write it was after playing a show with a band from Montreal, while I was living in Victoria, British Columbia. I had always fantasized about at least staying in Montreal for a while, and hearing about living in the city as a musician sounded so romantic. In my mind I was envisioning this perfect la la land in Montreal, meanwhile, in reality, I had some pretty heavy commitments. This song was me processing what my next move was in life. What can we expect to see from you throughout 2020? I'm hoping that I can get an album out. There's a lot of upgrades happening with my sound right now. I'm trying not to put too much pressure on the process, but I'm really excited to share it once it's ready. • Encore Debuts New Single "Tell Me"

February 21, 2020 Welcome, Encore! What a whirlwind the past year must've been for you guys debuting your sound with multiple single releases! How does the group feel with everything that has progressed with your sound up until this point? Hey! Super happy to be back here and chatting with you guys again, it’s been too long. We’re feeling pretty good about everything that’s been going on recently, focusing on what type of music we like to make and spending the time to get it sounding just how we want it. Since our last release of “Cross the Line,” we’ve worked on recording the next wave of our music and are so excited that it’s finally here and we’re able to share it with everybody. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Encore is known to be a band creating a refreshed and multi-faceted sound. Are you able to describe to our readers how you construct your music in order to achieve this diversified sound? I love this question. The way we make our music actually varies a lot depending on the song itself. Our lead singer Donald Plant writes and records the majority of our music, but in recent times we’ve all been working together to try and escalate our writing to the next level. Often, songs will really come alive in the studio when we can get more creative and experimental, but it is always very important to have a good song at the core, so starting with just a piano or guitar can be crucial to any song’s success. Since we all have different musical influences that also helps a lot with diversity and gives us the ability to merge genres together! Your most recent release, "Tell Me", blends together a multitude of soundings, which produces an eclectic and contemporary pop sound. What were the primary visions for this song? How would you say the initial vision ended up changing as you went to both create and record the track? When first starting to write “Tell Me,” it began similar to many of our other pieces, with just a guitar and a few vocal melodies. The real meaning behind this track is about the curiosity of a dying flame, and how things in any relationship can slip away in such a short amount of time. The song itself was written and recorded in just four days, spending over sixteen hours each day trying to shape it into the most authentic and unique sound it could have. It changed lyrically quite a bit over the four days, as we focused on drafting out the best melodies and ensuring the vocals would flow and all compliment the chorus at the same time. One of the biggest changes we added into the production was in the chorus, where we layered vocals and went for a bit more of an edgy emotional style of singing, complimenting the song and its meaning. Your tour success straight out of high school must've been incredibly rewarding! Let's dive deeper into your performances. How is it that each of you feels the performances execute for Encore? Do you feel that the band collectively connects with the crowd in an effortless way? Our live show is something that we pride ourselves on and have worked to develop and make it as strong as we can. From the time the band was formed we focused on developing our skills as musicians, so having the tour right as we graduated really solidified and further developed our chemistry as a group. When planning for a performance, one of our main goals is to interact with the crowd by providing the best show possible. Drawing inspiration from some of the best entertainers to ever hit the stage such as Prince, Aerosmith, and Bruno Mars, we have formed a high energy pop/rock show where we connect with the audience and find ways to make it memorable for all. Thanks for chatting, Encore! We're happy we got the chance to talk more on your advancing sound. What's the next vision for Encore, and where is the band headed musically now? Moving forward, we will continue to release the new launch of music we’ve been working on, starting with a music video for our new single ‘Tell Me.” Set to debut in the coming weeks following the initial release of the track, the video is a perfect representation of the meaning behind the song and is our first official music video so we are ecstatic to share it! Following the first few releases, we’ll be hitting the road this summer for a festival tour across North America, playing the new tracks and further developing our live performance ability. Thank you so much for having us, we’ve enjoyed chatting about our new release and are looking forward to hearing your thoughts on some of the future projects we’ll be announcing soon. • Dylan Joseph Reminds Us That Life Is Precious With “44”

Dylan Joseph is a country singer-songwriter from Thousand Oaks, California. Although he always had a natural talent for music, Dylan spent most of his life pursuing a career in baseball. It wasn’t until he sustained two career-ending injuries that he decided to switch focus to his other dream of being a musician. He may have been gunning for a future playing in the MLB, but Dylan Joseph’s long-standing history with music is evident in his songs. He learned to play the drums and guitar as a teenager; they always had drums at home since his dad is a drummer. After years of playing his favorite country hits, he had a desire to start creating his own music. Dylan Joseph has already found success in songwriting; writing a song for YouTube’s show “Malibu Surf” and co-writing the song, “Just Friends.” His most recent release “44” is a nostalgic country song. It begins with a sentimental piano as background. The tone of the song stays serious and emotional during the verses before it picks up at the chorus. Dylan Joseph introduces a drumming beat during the chorus as his vocals pick up, giving the song more energy. The focus of “44” is on Dylan’s lyrics; he tells a story about struggles that his family has experienced. In general, the lyrics encourage listeners to appreciate the people in our lives and avoid taking things for granted. Dylan Joseph’s “44” is a tender country song that will remind you to appreciate the people you love. • New Music: Sally Haze - "Waiting"

Psychedelia, trance, and dream pop; these are only a few genres that are recognized in the unique song "Waiting" written by Sally Haze. From producing songs in her bedroom, to working on her studio album at Maximum Pelt Records in Chicago, Sally has taken her danceable, dream-like rhythms to the next level in a very short period of time. The EP 'The Dining Room', which contains this single, has earned Sally Haze the “Best of Bandcamp November 2019” by Uproxx, and also earned her Chicago’s “Artist of the Month” by Deli. As the song begins, the build-up of instrumentation has listeners guessing what is about happen. The atmosphere introduced by the synth sounds like a musical mystery about to be revealed. The wait is short-lived. Drums emerge soon after, clearly letting people know that this is a get-up and dance song.  The piece continues to loop, but each time adding a new layer of instruments and ambiance that fulfills the song’s promise. Whether the instruments are acoustic or programmed on a computer, they fit together well to showcase Sally’s ability to make the listener feel like they are listening to a dream sequence. The ending changes to a new chord progression, then build up in increments, only to end with an explosive bang. It is easy to see how the song “Waiting” has earned Sally Haze nominations and awards. We can't wait to see what's in store next for this talented artist. Listen to "Waiting" here. Hey Sally Haze, welcome to BuzzMusic! We are more than proud to be representing your single "Waiting" off your EP 'The Dining Room'. Tell us, what is your recording process like? Hey, thanks for having us! We like to keep it simple; our home studio is really bare bones and very private, so there are not too many nerves. The most nerve-racking thing is putting the songs out there once they're done. Dining Room was a personal project, as a whole, but also lyrically and thematically. It's always strange putting something like that into the world. But the reactions so far have been amazing, especially people's different interpretations of the songs. Studios normally have some sort of “vibe” when you enter them. Was the “vibe” of Maximum Pelt Records helpful or additive towards your dreamy music? The best thing about our process and home recording, in general, is that it's really intimate and unrestrained. You're free to experiment, try things that might take a lot of time or never come off at all, and you can spend hours getting the right take or sound. That has been really important for the overall sound of the EP. So much so that a lot of the songwriting itself was done during recording. Some tracks were little more than a bass line or a few chords on guitar or synth, and everything else was built around it as the track was being recorded. When we listened to your music, it was hard for us to pick a title or genre it goes under, which is what I love about this song. Who were some of your biggest influences or inspirations that helped sculpt your very unique sound? A lot of influences. Obviously there's a heavy shoegaze/dream pop influence from bands like Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, and Ride with some Psych rock thrown in there. But we decided not to shy away from the influence of other genres and sounds, even when it doesn't seem like it would fit. We listen to a lot of dance and pop music, which is where the emphasis on rhythm and tempo, particularly in the drums and bass comes from. Pop music is another huge influence. And we listen to a lot of souls from the '60s, Phil Spector-type stuff, which had a huge influence especially the wall-of-sound production and melodically as well. With only having a couple of projects out online and for purchase, what do you think your next steps are in creating a new album or EP? The next EP is definitely going to be an evolution of the Sally Haze sound. We haven't finished recording yet but the writing is mostly done, and the vision for it is fully-formed. What can we expect to see from Sally Haze throughout 2020? We'll be playing some shows this year and there's definitely more to come with the next EP! instagram.com/sallyhazemusic twitter.com/sallyhazemusic #BuzzMusic
