- "Hard for Me" & "Love a Good Thing": A Look at Artist Angel Dweh's Tracks This Year
We want to highlight Angel Dweh today because of his fun and lively approach to the Electronic/Pop music scene. As a Los Angeles based singer/songwriter, actor, and dancer, Angel Dweh has a lot on his plate! Angel Dweh's busy schedule doesn't compromise his sound. We feel that he transforms his creative ideologies into the very expressive sound we hear, and he communicates it well. One release that we heard from Angel Dweh, "Hard for Me", embedded a list of components that were on our checklist as listeners! A prominent feature of the track was how subsisting it was. The track maintained its upbeat rhythm while featuring the vocal outflow from Angel Dweh. There wasn't one part of the "Hard for Me" where we weren't entertained in at least some way--you'll have to give it a listen to understand what we mean there. Another exclusive track released from Angel Dweh this year was titled "Love a Good Thing". Similar to the previous song, Angel Dweh transforms in a serious contrasting way. His voice has more of a natural and raw element to it here. A notable feature of this release is the distinguished production. The blend of synths contributing to the atmosphere of "Love a Good Thing" makes the song sound almost celestial at some times. At others, we're held hypnotized by the prominent blend featured near the chorus. It's aggressive to some extent but creates such a trippy ambiance. We appreciate the vocal presents from Angel Dweh, and how he managed to insert transformational R&B elements to elevate his execution. We can already imagine his performances--mystic, atmospheric, and super fun! Listen to Angel Dweh here! Hello Angel Dweh! Welcome to the BuzzMusic community. Let's dive right into the music. Out of the two singles released this year, which one did you feel better connected with? To be honest, I feel connected with both of the singles, they both have a story that talks about relationships but also loving within a relationship. Was there anything you'd change about your artistic 2019 year? I feel that in 2019 I give my artistic ability to be me and not trying to be someone or try to sound like another artist. When I first put out these singles, I was like no one going to get my message or my sound, but then when I start getting comments on Youtube, emails, and texts from people who are now my fans saying that they love my sound. I then realized I don't have to sound like anyone else. There are tons of different elements incorporated into your overall sounding. The blend of such contrasting sounds develops almost an eclectic atmosphere within your music. How do you go about the creative process in picking the various melodies and rhythms to put together with your vocals to create the very sound that is Angel Dweh? I love adversity, as an artist, I love to have different elements within my work. I grow up listening to different elements or styles of music, such as Gospel, R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, Afro Pop, and Afro-beat. Therefore creating and having different elements in my sound is to reach variest of people. However, picking my melodies and rhythms come easy when I am in the writing process. It's been an impressive year for your artistic career, with the release of both "Hard for Me" and "Love a Good Thing", as well as your magazine feature with SKINGS! How do you feel about how your year went regarding the progression of your artistry? I feel my year was an amazing first start in the music industry for an independent artist like me, and being a feature in SkINGS magazine was an amazing promote push fro my two singles. However, I am working on getting more magazines feature for next year where I can promote my shoe line and my brand, but also tell my story to a more broad audience. You're a performing artist, no doubt! How do you feel when you're on stage performing for your listeners? How does this performing aspect differ from performing in your acting/dancing career?! When I am on stage performing for my fans or listeners, I feel more self-confidence by giving then a hundred present, so it is me being on stage and show my fans what I am cable of doing live performance. However, with acting, I tell a story to my audience so they can see it and see themself in the story but also making sure they see the truth because acting is not in the script, it's giving the truth. Thanks, Angel Dweh for coming on BuzzMusic to discuss your 2019 from a music standpoint. We hope to see your sound transform even further in the year to come! For now, what is Angel Dweh doing next? Next, I have launched my shoe line, known as Shop Angel on Instagram and Shop Angel Dwehon facebook. I am working on selling merchandise in the second quarter of next year. I am also working on finding a management team or a manager to go forward expanding my sound to a new audience but also to get sign by a record label. instagram.com/angelwratto twitter.com/angelwratto #BuzzMusic
- Anthony Paul Displays His Artistic Sincerity Throughout the Year
American singer/songwriter Anthony Paul has had a consistent and methodic 2019. We seem to think his music executed in a great way over the course of this year, and we received songs like "Free", "Tlk 2 Much", and "Head in the Clouds" from Anthony Paul. "Free" had a very dreamy and inspirational melody maintained during the track. The echo-ey sounding that Anthony Paul integrates within his vocalism enhances that angelic and dreamy feeling to the "Free". We genuinely feel inspirited by Anthony Paul, which means he's artistically capable of transforming the emotional states of others. His music has that natural flow that can easily get in between mind and spirit, allowing our experience to be as positive as possible. We feel authentically relaxed by Anthony Paul, even considering his music has an exhilarating aspect to it. "Free" could've been a more mellow club track or the track playing in the background of a quiet Saturday night. The versatility is evidently there! Other tracks like "Tlk 2 Much" was more mystic and emphasizing Pop/Hip-Hop elements. The speed of Anthony Paul's vocal performance attributes to the rapidity of the song, ironically adhering to the song title. Anthony Paul showcases his vocal dynamics more dramatically in this track, where "Tlk 2 Much" allows for moments for his vocal abilities to shine. Another track released by Anthony Paul this year titled "Head in the Clouds" has been the most recent soundings we've seen. Anthony brings back that ethereal-type feeling with the introduction of the track and maintains that prominent magical pop sound during the rest of the track. We're intrigued by Anthony Paul regardless of the ambiance he sets with the track, and so 2020 will be a year of patiently waiting for more tracks of Anthony Paul! Give a listen to the 2019 releases of Anthony Paul here. Hey Anthony Paul! Welcome back to BuzzMusic! 2019 saw three notable releases from you. Out of the three releases, which one did you feel you put more of your personal life into? Hey BuzzMusic! Thanks for having me again! Out of my three releases, I would say that “Free” really hits home for me. I make sure that all of my songs carry a piece of myself, but “Free” is really authentic to how I was feeling at a moment in my life and the things I needed to here. I really needed to claim my confidence and embrace myself. Doing that really empowered me to further focus on my music, expand on my artistry, and really refine who I want to be as an artist. "Free" was an enigmatic, yet serene track release. How did you find the inspiration to come up with the production? The production for the song was inspired by the feeling of being bigger than yourself. I wanted the song to feel like wind through a dessert, or birds in the sky. When I think about the word “Free” I think about bliss. I wanted the song to feel smooth, colorful, and majestic in a way. I remember standing on top of the Hollywood Sign when I first moved to LA. It’s such a surreal feeling looking down such a big city and realizing how small you really are. At the same time, I felt empowered to one day become bigger than ever. Experimenting with various genres over 2019, which genre would you say you've grown more accustomed to within this year? I wouldn’t say that I have grown accustomed to anything yet. Overall, Pop is where my heart is but that is such a broad term. I am growing to really find my “sound” more. I think I have so many more ideas to release before I can truly answer this question. Ask me again in a year lol! Your most recent release "Head in the Clouds" debuted not too long ago! Walk us through how the writing process differed for this track, compared to the very first track you wrote as an artist? Is the writing process more refined as we approach the end of this year? “Head in the Clouds” is my personal favorite because it was the first time where I had no previous ideas in order to create the song. I remember being up really late one night and, in that moment, said “I’m gonna make a song right now.” So, I sat down and just “threw paint” basically, and from that “Head in the Clouds” came to be. I remember making my very first song called “Unheard” for my first EP back in 2013. It was such a process that required so much energy which is the title of that EP is called “The Process”. I was new to writing and my artistry. Now, it’s so simple to me. I sit down and just create what I feel. It gets easier every time. We've always talked about how versatile your sound is, and how much potential it has to become even more seasoned. What steps are in place to help yourself grow artistically? Right now, I am working with an incredible team of friends who also are crazy talented. I have learned so much from working with them. Dan Dann and St. Deon have been involved with the creation of my last three songs, writing and production. I have grown so much already because I am able to hear my songs from different perspectives. It’s great to collaborate with friends because each of us say the same things just in different ways. I believe that always being open to learn rather than being ready to teach is the best way to grow exponentially in whatever you pursue. It's always a pleasure to feature you and your music on BuzzMusic! As of right now, is there a planned release date of future music? Thank you so much for having me! Right now, all I can say is that there is A LOT of new music in the works. Release dates T.B.D.! There may be something new as early as January 2020! I am beyond excited for this new chapter of music. It is really shaping up to be my best yet and I can’t wait to share it with all of you! instagram.com/anthonycpaul Facebook.com/AnthonyCPaul #BuzzMusic
- 2019 Sees Richard Berger Release 3 Psychadelic Tracks
Richard Berger has had a huge 2019 in terms of releases the artist had! Richard Berger is the type of artist that consistently maintains that cool and atmospheric vibe. You'll listen to tracks like "In My Head" and immediately resonate with what we just said. There are jazz elements added to Richard Berger's "In My Head" which we personally loved. Jazz elements added to the general sounding of Richard Berger make for the most relaxing and calming track we've heard in some time. Richard Berger's voice easily glides across your senses without any hesitation, but with tons of hypnotization. Another track that we've seen from Richard Berger this year was titled "Listen to Me". That same iconic trill ambiance is established as soon as the track begins. That collection of synths creating that psychedelic melody is the pinnacle of Richard Berger's sound. We absolutely adore this characteristic of Richard, and genuinely hope to see it in the music to come! Richard Berger's second single release of 2019 has been "All the Love". The track features a contrasting vocal performance to the previous two tracks, as here, Richard really focuses on a deeper and more fuller sounding. He also adds a few fun elements into the mix of his track, amplifying that psychedelic attribute even further. We're loving the soundings of Richard Berger. We are thrilled to announce his final single of 2019 “Where Did It Go”! We know you'll be intrigued by all of Richard's releases as well, so check out the soundings of Richard Berger below! Listen to Richard Berger here. Hi there Richard Berger! Thanks for coming on BuzzMusic! Let's get right into the music. How did you feel about the releases of 2019 on your end? Do you believe that your artistry transformed from the first release to the last one? I have been working on a collection of songs that will all be part of my upcoming album in 2020. With the release of “Where Did It Go” on 12/27, there will be 4 singles available. Each song has its own story and vibe. And while I have a certain style, I don’t try to force a specific sound for every song, rather, I let each song develop individually. I just do my best tell the story both lyrically and musically. So yes, I think there is always a bit of a transformation between songs and releases, but ultimately they will all fit together on the album. What a crazy year it's been for you and your music! Can you walk our readers through all of the highlights your music career has seen this year? My first EP was released around this time in late 2018. Since then, I have been writing and recording the new album. I like to release singles every few months as I finish them so there isn’t such a long gap between releases and I can try to stay engaged with my audience. This year, I have seen 2 of my songs surpass 25,000 streams on Spotify which has been a great surprise. Your sound features the incredible use of keyboard soundings, which really aid in creating that psychedelic and atmospheric feeling. Was this the environment you were aiming to establish for your listeners? Thank you. The new songs definitely have more analog synth sounds and in particular, feature the Roland Juno-60. I wanted to create a dreamy, chill vibe to take listeners on a bit of journey. What's the most important characteristic of your music that you wouldn't be able to create without? Hmm, good question. While the synths and guitars can create a great atmosphere and soundscape for the songs, I am at heart all about melody. So for me, each song should come across even when completely stripped down of all the tracks and effects with just a vocal and piano. You have a single ready to release in a few days! That's very exciting! Tell us and our readers a bit more about the future release of "Where Did it Go”? Where Did It Go is the title track and 4th single of my upcoming album. It is definitely the most personal song i have ever written and is definitely a little different than my other songs musically. It is song about loss...something that you can never get back. Musically, I feature a blend of analog strings and lush pads throughout over a grand piano… and a touch of synth accents. Thanks again Richard Berger for coming on BuzzMusic to talk about your music! What're the next steps for you artistically? Thanks for having me. In 2020, I will be focused on completing the album and I will always be looking to write my next song. instagram.com/rberger25 #BuzzMusic

But that just means, new heat for 2020 How did the creative flow during the writing and recording process differ from the first track release you had this year compared to the most recent one? The beat changed. It called for something more relaxed. "My Mental" featured authentic rap stylings but persisted with an entertaining production. Him and I are polar opposites, but similar in many ways. So it was easy. How do you feel your current creative environment is empowering the very sound you create? - Exclusive: Tyler Brooks & His Bustling 2019
Recording artist and producer Tyler Brooks hails from Paterson, New Jersey, and has toned his sounding in recent 2019 album release "Blue Midnight". Tyler Brooks is not the type of artist to stay quiet about his passions, and we're thankful that he isn't, because we probably wouldn't receive such a dedicated sound without it. Using his music as an outlet, Tyler Brooks ensures that he relays any of his messages through the very music he creates, and so listeners receive that immense passion on Tyler's end. When we look back at what Tyler Brooks has created for himself artistically over 2019, we see a multitude of single releases, with an album release to tie the year off in the most appropriate way! Most notably, Tyler Brooks released "Blue Midnight", the album which set to transform his sound, and what listeners think of 2019 recording artist Tyler Brooks. Gliding across a few tracks on the album, you'll instantly understand the theme of the record: purpose. Tyler Brooks gets across many thought-provoking verses to listeners within his tracks, and "Blue Midnight" amplifies this aspect of Tyler's music. Tyler Brooks is stimulating and inspirational. You'll feel that sensational feeling when listening to 2019 track releases such as "Streetlight" and "In Time". Quite frankly, listening to any track from Tyler Brooks off of his album "Blue Midnight" would be sufficient enough for listeners to understand the artistic capabilities he possesses. They're silky and flowing, which makes us feel more heartwarming during the holiday season. Although "Blue Midnight" doesn't feature as a holiday album, the record is incredibly fitting to listen to over your holiday dinners. We know for sure that that's what we'll be doing, and we highly recommend our BuzzMusic readers to follow suit! Discover the sounding of Tyler Brooks here. Hey there, Tyler Brooks! What a year you had this year with multiple single releases, along with the debut of "Blue Midnight". How does it feel now that you're taking a breather over the holidays? It feels great! Putting out both singles and finishing this entire project were huge goals for me this year, and it was important to me that it came out before the year was up. I was really nervous that it wouldn't be completed in time, but I worked extremely hard and got it out. I'm happy that it's done, but also a little sad because it was so fun to create. Definitely looking forward to working on new stuff. "Blue Midnight" had the best kind of ambiance that wasn't Christmas-tied, and it was extremely needed over the holiday season! What kind of atmosphere were you hoping to achieve with your listeners once creating this album? Definitely. It's not a Christmas or holiday album at all. I put it out on December 21st for two reasons, both having to do with the title. The date 12/21 is like a mirror image of the same number or, and sort of signifies "midnight" in that at 12, a new day begins, totally different from the day that just passed. Also, being the winter solstice, December is the longest "night" of the year. The atmosphere I was going for with this project was a dreamy, introspective one. The idea behind the project and the title was being awake all night, alone with your thoughts, contemplating your passions and your purpose, wondering if what you're pursuing in life is right, and ultimately coming to the realization that you have to follow the passion in your heart, the call that you hear in your head constantly. Off of "Blue Midnight", one of our personal favourites was "Streetlight". The mood developed within this track was magical. Which track off of the album resonated with you the most? I really appreciate that. "Streetlight" was actually the first piece of music I ever released as a single and really meant a lot to me, and especially to the people of my hometown of Paterson, NJ who know exactly what it's about. I really wanted to create a dark, contemplative mood for that song, and that's by far the one I spent the most effort and production time on. Other than "Streetlight," one that resonates with me the most is "Song to Myself." The idea for that song, as the title suggests, is that I'm talking to myself. More specifically, it's supposed to be present-day me talking to the "me" of the future, a fully realized me who has tapped his potential and is fully living in his purpose. Every line of that song can be read as present me saying it to future me, or on the flip side as future me saying it to present-day me. We know that you like to use your music as an outlet, in order to get across some serious issues that you're passionate about as an artist! Do you find it more of a challenge on the creative end to synthesize these feelings and emotions and then project them into the track you're recording? No, not at all! Creativity is, as you said, an outlet. Injecting your raw feelings and emotions them into whatever project you're working on is the only way to create in the first place. I was blessed to be able to work with two great artists, AJ Peoples and EKG, who both love their craft and pour everything into it just as I do, and that makes all the difference. As an introspective artist, where do you see that part of your artistry taking off for the new year? I'm not totally sure to be honest. I'm definitely working on new material, but not every project is going to sound or feel like "Blue Midnight" or have the same themes. Maybe none of them will, who knows. But whatever I do work on, I know it'll be as fun and fulfilling of a process as "Blue Midnight" was, and I can't wait to see what takes form. My main goal is to get better at every step. Thanks for coming on BuzzMusic, Tyler! We're happy that 2019 saw the release of "Blue Midnight". Are you planning on another album release in 2020? Thanks for having me! And as far as an album release, probably not. I don't think I have enough solidified ideas to put another whole project like this one together within a year. However, I will be releasing an EP within 2020, probably just three or four songs. These are songs I had begun working on and formulating while putting "Blue Midnight" together but that ultimately didn't make the cut, both because they weren't totally done on time and didn't fit the theme quite well. They're definitely fun songs, though. I'm excited for people to hear. instagram.com/tb32_ twitter.com/thetylerbrooks #BuzzMusic
