  • Chrys Thompson Releases New Banger “Isso Lit”

Chrys Thompson is a truly talented and ambitious individual. Hailing from Los Angeles, Chrys kicked off his 2019 by releasing his debut single “We On” and then followed it up with “Aerials”. This garnered Chrys a solid and dedicated fanbase. He also delivered a brand new music video for “Aerials” just this past September. Now, back with more new music, Chrys released a party anthem “ISSO Lit” on Halloween. “ISSO Lit” is a fun track, loaded with good vibes, quirky rhymes, and a consistently rhythmic flow that works well on top of the natural bounce of the beat. It’s truly admirable for an artist to be able to release contemporary, relevant music consistently all year long. Chrys wins your affection with a few well-placed bars that beg for you to replay the moment and double-check what you just heard. Short lines feel familiar and accessible, but with this, Chrys makes sure to spit about rhymes and ideas that come naturally. It's all thanks to the energy and pace of this music. His flow varies just enough so throughout the performance to let you know there’s skill and purpose behind it all, and that works well as he furthers the familiarity of his sound and his name. Not only is Chrys Thompson a talented rapper and lyricist, but he is the rising artist we’re watching going into 2020. His ambition, versatility, and overall dedication to his craft are exceptional and he is on his way to becoming a household name! Check out Chrys Thompson’s new music here Welcome back to BuzzMusic Chrys Thompson! It’s such a pleasure to be catching up with you! You’ve had an impressive year, to say the least. What accomplishment are you most proud of thus far? After 15 years of making music and not really putting it out there. I’m proud of the leap of faith I took by taking some small steps to release music on today’s biggest platforms. I’ve had friends tell me for years that I am talented and I always wondered if I would ever try to release music and showcase my artistry. I know there is still a lot to learn and skills to develop but creating the initial momentum and putting myself out there this year was a moment of pride for me. Also, planning and executing my first music video was a wild ride that felt like a dream, especially due to growing up in Palm Springs and being able to use LA as my movie set for a day, that experience was unreal. “We On” is great track for your debut this year! What can you tell us about the creation and production process for this one? “We On” was a track that came together with the collaboration of producer/engineer, Lewey Melchor who helped take my sound to a brand new place and a talented singer/songwriter/vocal coach, Prince Chapelle, who laid the foundation of melodies for the chorus and verses. This process was a bit foreign to me but I trusted them and endured some tough writing sessions as I looked for the perfect words to tell the story of having faith in your passions and enjoying the feeling of being “on” when it all works out. It was a perfect metaphor for my first single as CHRYS THOMPSON. We absolutely love your latest release! What predominant message was integrated within “ISSO LIT”? The message with ISSO LIT is pretty simple. Bring it all, if you are going to party or get amped to do something, give it all your energy and don’t hold back. It is meant to describe the atmosphere of a scene that no other words can do justice but, ISSO LIT. The verses tell the story of being with friends and going hard all night long! Coming up with some of those lines was fun and brought back memories as I recalled nights out with my boys at festivals, clubs, and parties. This song is ideal for a workout playlist, party/turn-up playlist or something to play when you are in the car with your squad on a road trip or on the way to get Lit! You seem to be an artist that puts more thought into their lyrics than most. What can you tell us about the lyrical depth within “Aerials”? Aerials is a special song because it took me out of my comfort zone and I wanted to tell the story of the highs and lows of life. Being grateful for the high points in life gives you an ability to navigate and withstand the lows. Nothing good in life comes easy and nothing worth having stays without being earned. So I tried to explain my way of gaining a higher viewpoint or perspective by getting the Aerial view of yourself and your situations. How do you set yourself apart from other hip-hop artists today? What's the next move for you artistically? It is really hard to develop a brand and sound in this current time period where more songs are being created than ever. I know I have different sounds and styles that I want to explore and bring to fruition, so I have had to practice patience as they all can’t come at the same time. There are many influences that excite me and I love so many songs that are being released. I would say my authentic voice is something that stands out from most artists, I desire to be heard in as raw of a form as I can while still having a professional production that comes with the finished product of my songs. I am actually still figuring out my next moves and that is the strategy behind the art that is necessary for the music industry. I would say more content. I have to keep making music to give people options to pick from so I can broaden my fan base. I also am really excited to continue trying out different styles and combinations of hip hop, R&B, Trap, and EDM. Thank you so much for talking with us about your new projects and the creative process. Can you describe how your performances feel? Do you enjoy live shows, or do you prefer the actual songwriting process? Also, any live shows coming up in the near future?! I’ll be the first to admit that I have only performed a handful of times in my life. I haven’t performed these three singles yet but I’m actually working on putting together my first set and hope to set a goal of performing in 2020! facebook.com/chrysthompsonmusic instagram.com/chrysthompsonmusic twitter.com/ChrysThompson10 #BuzzMusic

  • Interview: Argentine Rapper Analog Is Changing The Game

Welcome, Analog, to BuzzMusic! We are intrigued by your experimental, grimy and hard-hitting staple sound. Can you explain why changing the views on Latin rap is important to you? Working in the US, I've definitely noticed a stigma as to what Latin music is expected to be. I absolutely love the more traditional-sounding styles of Latin trap, reggaeton, and all those popular, dance-inspired tracks. But, I think that a lot of people from the outside don't realize that there's a much wider variety of genres that Latin American artists do other than just those- which is why I would love to help bring that to light, as a part of this new wave of emerging Latin artists who are each doing the same thing. On top of that, especially being a huge fan of American rappers such as Denzel Curry, JID, and JPEGMafia, I always try to incorporate some of those fresh, new, heavy-hitting sounds and bring them to the Argentine rap fanbase as well. For those who may not know, you have composed international TV ads. Any ads that we would know, and can you explain the inspiration behind those works? Most of these ads were for Argentine TV, and I worked on them whenever I was back home. I worked for some pretty big brands, mainly cosmetic and health products, so the music I've done for them has always been more family-friendly and industrial - completely different than the style of my own music. I've always seen that as more of a job, selling my music as a product based on what these brands wanted, whereas my own music as an artist has always been my creative outlet with a deeper inspiration. As a goal-driven rapper and producer, who intends to release a new song every single week until the end of the year, starting with “Pesada”, can you explain how each song may or may not be connected? These songs aren't part of an album, so they're not trying to be connected through a "storyline", or stylistic progression between them. Having said that, I think that all of these songs are still tied together by their overall concept: being short, straight-to-the-point, heavy-hitting, experimental, and catchy. Hopefully, the listeners will feel that the production is an interesting new take on Latin rap that they haven't heard before, while the catchy vocals will make them want to replay each song at least a couple times. What was the message you wanted to convey with your song “Pesada”? I chose "Pesada" to be my first song to release from this project because I felt like it captured and summarized the overall concept and sound for these upcoming releases really well. Despite the track not having a hook, it really allows the evolving, aggressive production to shine through under the cocky, laid-back rapping which flows over it. There's a single rhyme-scheme throughout the entire thing, and it delivers the sound I'm trying to convey in a very short, straight-to-the-point package. How do you see the future of Analog’s sound evolving in the coming years? I definitely want to keep on learning and to continue improving my production and rapping with every one of my future releases. Even though I don't see myself getting as out-there and experimental as, say, JPEGMafia, I definitely still want to push the envelope of Latin rap further than I've been able to so far, without making my music be too inaccessible for new fans, whether that is rapping, producing for other artists, or both. What's next for Analog as 2019 comes to an end? Considering I dropped my last album, "1281", just a couple months ago, on top of putting out all of these singles now, I probably won't release any new, big solo projects any time soon. Once the year is over, I want to focus more on working as a producer as opposed to a rapper, at least for a while. I actually have some really exciting new projects that I'm working on with other artists, which will be announced pretty soon. I also definitely want to plan some live shows around the US East Coast as well as back home in Argentina, which I'm really excited about too. In short, even though I might not release any new solo music for a little bit, I still have no plans to stop working on new content to put out there, so definitely keep an eye out. • Check out Will Wolfe’s new LP “Back Seat Driver”

Talented artist Will Wolfe is making a name for himself out of Oakland, California. Writing, playing, recording and producing everything himself, Will has had an incredibly productive 2019. Releasing singles every few weeks throughout the year to gain traction for his LP “Back Seat Drive”, Will Wolfe is as ambitious and independent as they come. A singer/songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and kid at heart, he has swiftly amassed a large fanbase and following. Not only has Will released a plethora of new music but he also dropped new visuals for his single “Saying Goodbye”. The video is an absolute pleasure to witness, it feels as if you’re getting a taste of what a live show from the young up and comer would be like. With thousands of monthly listeners on Spotify alone, Will Wolfe makes music that can relate to both his own life experiences and the life experiences of his ever-growing fan base. He brilliantly captures nostalgic feelings sonically, and emotional feeling lyrically. With a year like Will Wolfe has had this 2019, he is absolutely the one to watch going through to 2020. Listen to Will Wolfe’s music here and read more below! Welcome back Will Wolfe! It’s always a pleasure catching up with you. What have you been up to since you released your LP “Back Seat Driver”? After I dropped back seat I pretty much went straight back to the drawing board. I wrote and recorded saying goodbye after a very relaxing 2-week break (ha). I could tell I knew what I was doing a little bit more now and I bought a few new goodies for the studio, so I was pretty excited with how that song turned out. Back seat driver was really just me teaching myself how to do all this stuff. I have it down to a personal science. I don’t think a sound engineer would write home about any of it, but if it works it works? yeah. What's the most integral element to your music that you find is always integrated into the tracks you released this year? Definitely the guitar. Although I do put it down for a few songs on the new LP, it always sneaks in there. It's my primary instrument, and one of my favorite things to record. So yeah, you’ll find the guitar in just about every one of my songs. I think. You present yourself as a really versatile artist! “Saying Goodbye” has an upbeat yet mellow feel, while your more recent release “Project 21” is very melancholic and beautiful. What trend can your listeners expect from your next track? Yeah, I do notice myself swerving all over the place genre-wise. I think it has to do with my mood. Sometimes I will try and capture a feeling inside of a song, and go with that. I'm not trying to tunnel vision my content I guess? Whatever I feel like making, as long as it doesn’t suck, I will usually record it. So its all about the moods. Sometimes I do get a little weirded out when I see how all over the place songs on the new album are, but I’m starting to get the picture for how the whole thing is going to come off, and I’m pumped. Can you talk about your music video for “Saying Goodbye”? What was the filming process like? Saying goodbye. After I finished that song I knew it was one of my favorites, and I knew it needed a whacky fun video to go with it. So one summer day a few of my friends (also bandmates) drove out into the woods, set up a drum set, piano, and whatnot and just went. It was pretty focused for like 10 minutes. Then we started running around doing all sorts of weird stuff. Some of it actually ended up in the video so I guess it was all worth it. So yes, the filming process was really laid back and quite fun. I totally want to do another video soon. As an independent artist, what would you say is the biggest challenge you predominantly face within the music industry? I would say press stuff. But here we are! Honestly, I have been in and out of talking with a few labels in the past and there just hasn't been a team I feel is motivated enough and would put the same energy I put in. Booking is tough at times but independent artists are the name of the game these days. Not that I would be against working with the right label. The very key word there. “Right”. I feel like being your own boss is always the way to go, so as of now I would say booking and social media image stuff. It can be tough. Thank you so much for catching up with us! We’re always looking forward to hearing more. How has your sound developed or changed since your debut single? Debut album* and a lot. Most of it comes from the production side. As I learn more my songs become better, and now I find myself in a cycle of recording new songs and cutting old ones because the new ones are just way better (speaking to the new album). But I know it’ll be done soon. People can expect it is very very very early 2020. My sound is always changing, I have so many inspirations that sometimes I record songs that are super “not me” but I end up doing it anyway because I just love to do it. facebook.com/WillWolfeMusic/ instagram.com/willwolfe/ #BuzzMusic

  • Catching Up With Jade Stone And Their New Single "Crescent Moon"

Welcome to BuzzMusic Jade Stone! Tell us how the journey been so far for you guys as a band? What's been the most exciting moment in your career thus far and why? The journey so far has been nothing but pure bliss and excitement! This was definitely an unexpected journey since half of the band is from another country. I never expected this band to be where it is today, from being just friends who hung out together, to recording an album together, and now touring and playing shows together. The most exciting part of our career would have to have been the recording process. I (Danny) went to live in Mexico for 5 weeks to record this new album, and that was an experience that I will forever remember. Let's talk about your music! Where do you find most of your inspiration for your songwriting? What inspired you to write "Crescent Moon"? I find the most inspiration in whatever I’m currently going through in life. If I’m in a rut and low place in life, my music will reflect that. The same goes if I’m in a good place. I try to find inspiration in everything though, and the crescent moon is an example of that. I’ve always found a crescent moon that is very unique and special, so I challenged myself to write a song about it. I think it’s currently one of my best songs to date. What was the creative process like for "Crescent Moon"? Did you stumble upon any challenges? As mentioned before, this song was a challenge as I was trying to write just about a crescent moon. A simple crescent moon, but so much to say. I started to think of all the characteristics and properties of a moon in general. The first verse says “you’re not full but you give so much, the amount of times is not enough, and even when so high above, the ocean tides move with your touch”. This means that even though it’s not full, a crescent moon will still provide us with light and keep us alive, also since it’s not always a crescent moon, the amount of times it comes around simply isn’t enough, and even though it’s so high up, the moon still manages to control the ocean tides all the way down here on earth. I don’t know, I thought this verse was really thought out. What has been the best advice given to you overall and how has it helped impact your music? I think the best advice given to me was to not try too hard when it comes to songwriting. Songwriting should come naturally, it shouldn’t be forced, and if I’m feeling stuck on a song, wait it out and let it come, it will eventually fall together and those are some of the best songs and feeling when it finally does. Since 2019 is coming to a close, what are you looking forward to in 2020? Our new debut album drops on December 13th! It will be available on all streaming platforms. We will end the year with a blast and start the new year off even better. We’ll be playing more shows and possibly a tour for the 2020 year. It’s looking really exciting! • Hailing from NYC, Onism E Made Big Waves In 2019

Making waves all the way from NYC, Onism E is the next big indie rock band that’s destined for greatness. This riveting collective is known for being a workhorse in the indie music scene. Onism E has NOT failed to deliver us an immaculate track record so far. Releasing 5 five memorable songs this year with more in the pipeline, Onism E has no plans on taking their foot off the pedal. With music that’s catered to lovers of moody and dark melodies rooted with rock, Onism E could potentially be the band that brings the genre of transcendental rock back to the limelight. It’s been a while since a band was able to create sustainable emotions for me personally as a listener, but when it comes down to Onism E, they don’t seem to ever lack in their conviction and delivery! We’re excited to see what else they have up their sleeves as we’re almost positive they plan on making this upcoming year double the success they had in 2019.  We just know Onism E has a bright and prosperous future ahead of themselves, and it’s only right we take acknowledge of this now! Listen to Onism E and their music here What’s up Onism E, Welcome to BuzzMusic! What’s the story behind the cool stage name? How did you formulate it? Thanks for letting me hang out with you again! Well, the word "onism" is the frustration of being stuck in just one body, that inhabits only one place at a time. That, in a nutshell, is me. I struggle to stay still. I try to live in the present but my mind constantly wanders and I think about all the places I could be at any point. The "E" is just the first initial of my first name. Your sound is quite unique and translates well with your audience as we hear in certain songs like “Love You More”, do you have any specific influences for your artistry? I started playing because of the storytellers I listened to growing up like Bruce Springsteen and Melissa Etheridge. I combined that with my love of artists like LP, Bishop Briggs, K.Flay, Sharon Van Etten, Liz Phair, Patti Smith, Brandi Carlile, Pink, Bonnie Raitt, and Patty Griffin. I am all over the place musically so I try to stay true to who I am and make it a point to surround myself with solid musicians that can bring the song to life. With 5 releases under your belt this year, which has been your personal favorite release and why? Ha. That's like asking which kid is your favorite but if I had to choose I would say, In the Shadows. It's an anthem song for me and the band really shines through in it in a way that makes me smile. Which song has been the most challenging for you to create? How were you able to overcome the obstacles in the production of it? Hands down, Let You Go was the hardest. I had a lyric and drumbeat in my head so I pieced it together backward; drums, guitar, vocals and then at the end, bass. Because it was so personal, I had trouble letting people in to help. It doesn't happen often but when it does, I just have to stay focused and remind myself to tell the story. How do you guys manage to stick to your sound yet deliver so many versatile records including “Fairytales”, “Stay”, “In The Shadows”, etc! What’s the secret formula? Secret formula? Hmm. Ha. For me it's about sticking to who I am as a songwriter, not giving in to any labels and surrounding myself with people that like what I do overall. Brandi Carlile has the "twins" and I have the Chrises. Ha! 2020 is bound to be an amazing year for you Onism E, can you hint to our readers what we can we be expecting? Hmm. Probably an album/EP and possibly a tour to see all the faces that have been sending us nice notes. I will say that we read them all and try to say hi to as many as possible. facebook.com/OnismEOfficial instagram.com/onism_e twitter.com/OnismEOfficial #BuzzMusic

  • Catching up with Canadian Hip-Hop Artist Philip Morris

Philip Morris knows how to bring high-energy music. However at first, when making hip-hop music he was driven by a desire to imitate the flows of artists like Dr. Dre, Kanye West, and MF Doom. In an effort to display these skills, Philip Morris produced two tapes that arguably came off as insincere and cringe-inducing, and so hip-hop was put on the back-burner. During this self-induced hiatus, trap music and SoundCloud rap took off in a huge way. This movement, and in particular, Lil Pump's hilarious, braggadocios, neo-punk delivery, inspired Philip Morris to return to the game, but with different intentions than before. Philip Morris (aka PM) now creates infectious, innovative, clever, music for heavy drinking, powerlifting, and introspection. A tough blend of quick-witted bars, lush melodies, and hard-hitting instrumentals. PM is not to be missed, and hard to forget. After kicking off 2019 with his 12-track album “Freshly Baked”, Philip Morris went straight back to the studio and dropped his next album “Drink Up!!” in the summer. PM is the definition of an ambitious and independent artist. After gaining a following as the result of releasing two full albums in one year, Philip Morris was once again back in the studio cooking up new material for his dedicated fan base. Most recently, he dropped a party anthem titled “Drink On Me” and “Endgame” Feat. Kao$. Philip Morris is absolutely an artist you should keep your eye on! Listen to PM’s new music here You’ve had an impressive year, to say the least. What accomplishment are you most proud of thus far? The reception of Drink Up has been overwhelmingly positive and kind. T the artistic step forward from the last two tapes, and really buckling down and making a strong cohesive project is what I'm most proud of. On the first albums, I freestyled a majority of the songs, and for this one, it is almost completely written. With an impressive repertoire under your belt, we would have to imagine your sound has changed and evolved with time. How would you say your music now compares to the music you curated when you first started out in the music industry? I'm getting better, and people can tell. Sincerity is key. Also, I would never say I'm in the industry, but I'd love to be apart of it. We absolutely love your album “Drink Up! What predominant message was integrated into this project? What track are you the proudest of on this project? Drink Up was the final album in the unofficial "Vices Trilogy". "King Size Blues" being Cigarettes. "Freshly Blazed" being Marijuana. "Drink Up!!" being booze. It was a celebration of summer drinking. I'm most proud of "Nine Lives" because I love the Runaway autotune. You seem to be an artist that puts more thought into their lyrics than most. What can you tell us about the lyrical depth within “Chris Basement”? It was my attempt at a hot album starter. Look at Meek Mill's Dreams and Nightmares, and Cardi B's Get Up 10. A "scratch the earth" type tune. Thank you so much for chatting with us. What can you tell us about your brand new release “Endgame ft. Kao$”? Use humor as a weapon. As a way to immediately relate, or trick listeners into taking the PM ride. Endgame is a remix of a song off the album with Philly artist Kao$. I hit her up on Soundcloud, and she responded quickly to being down. I sent her three songs, and she chose this one. She recorded about a month later and sent it back. She rules. Super kind, and in it for the right reasons. Easiest mail-in verse I've ever gotten. instagram.com/philip.morris.pm #BuzzMusic

  • Branwell Black Comes in Strong with His First Single "What You Want"!

Nothing is getting in the way of Branwell Black and his journey as an artist. Originally from France, Branwell’s entrance into the world of music started at a young age, when he started taking piano and vocal lessons. After this, he discovered a passion for dance, specifically modern jazz, and shortly after started a band with his brother Morgan Black. Together, they fed their passion for music and performing. After moving to London at 18 to focus on studying and modeling, Branwell decided it was time to rediscover songwriting and start fresh in the music industry. He uses songwriting as a way to process the events in his life and transform them into something tangible that can be enjoyed by everyone around him. Don't worry, he didn’t leave dance behind forever, and still likes to incorporate it into his live performances. He believes this adds an element of complexity to his shows and allows listeners a full experience of his music. Branwell’s first single as a solo artist does not disappoint. "What You Want" blends EDM, Pop, and Rock for a powerful, enticing first song. This is layered with beautiful vocals and harmonies that fill out the track.  He skillfully pours emotion into his lyrics, allowing listeners to be transformed by the energy of the song. An important quality for artists in any genre of music is to convey feelings in a way that will touch the hearts of others, and ‘What You Want’ is definitely an example to follow. Listen to "What You Want" by Branwell Black here! Thanks for chatting with us today, Branwell! How long has your first single been in the works for? Well, I started writing the lyrics about a year ago actually - when I first met my producer. The song’s been through some different phases with finding the right sound for me as I like to envision how the songs I write can be performed. I’ve been working on a few songs with this vibe to soon release an EP – I'm pretty excited about that! What is the songwriting process like for you? Do you typically work by yourself or collaborate with other writers? Good question! Unless I’m writing with my brother, usually I start playing chords or a melody on the piano and sing how I’m feeling, it’s organic for me. Honestly, I think I’m generally seen as someone who keeps their emotions to themselves, so I put what’s too hard to hold out on my songs. You’ve done your fair share of working in arts over the years, would you ever shift your focus to dance or modeling full time? Or do you think music is your ultimate job? I’d never want to think of music as a job but as a successful passion which is my goal. Modeling & Dance are two hard worlds to be a part of, the stakes are high and so is the competition, I enjoy utilizing what I have from them, but I don’t think I’d want them fulltime no. It must require a lot of stamina to dance on stage during your live performances! Did you have to go through extensive physical training? I used to dance up to 16h a week before I moved to London & before that I was a long-distance runner - I’ve always been a bit obsessed with cardio, so I guess that’s where I get my energy on stage & I idolized 80s Rockstar's doing split jumps like a kid, that helped. You mentioned you were preparing for some festivals in 2020, any specifics on where you might be performing? It’s early days yet but I’ve been applying for some festivals, yes! It all depends on what they’re looking for but I’m preparing an EP to release next year and working on choreography for the songs so I’m hoping to get some festival opportunities, fingers crossed. facebook.com/lovemeposie instagram.com/brantanzen #BuzzMusic

Thank you for having me for the third time to chat especially for this moment! To answer your question what I am proudest of this year is just growing as an Artist and being able to put music out that allows people to take a look into myself and themselves and connect also proud of improving my sound and gifting as an artist in this time of music. Congrats on releasing so many singles in one year and being featured in multiple songs! It truly has been such an impressive year for you. What was the overall concept of your first release of the year, “Black Magic”? Thank you it was definitely a busy year for me releasing os much music and to have released "Black Magic" first was so amazing because “Black Magic” is a song that pays homage and encourages The Future (Kids), The Present(M.P. And Others), and The Legacy(Grandparents and Elders). The song is a reminder to all Black People that they are magical and must continue to build each other up and progress. Even though this song seems as if it is intended for Black People only, everyone can enjoy it. We were most engaged by the lyricism within “Alright”! Can you dive into the meaning behind the lyrics on this particular track? What do you hope your listeners take away from the overall sentiment? With “Alright" I was just saying I am here and ready to take my spot in Hip-Hop as an influence so I wanted people to see that I was tired of being the quiet guy who you see and know and let them know I am here to make a change and bring them with me. Among your singles in 2019, you’re featured on 3 new singles! What has been the most exciting collaboration for you this year? I think I had a few more I forgot to share with you all, but I love all the features I was apart of those guys are my bros so I can’t pick one over the other cause all the songs are dope and let me be different on each one. Shout Out to the Guys! What do you think it was about your singles “Hero” and “Roots” that made them so increasingly popular with your fan base? I believe what made them popular was that people could vibe out connect with them even tho the content was a little more serious on the vibe was fun and lasting to where they could be connected too. Thanks so much for catching up with us! What are you working on currently? We’re always looking forward to hearing more from you. I have a few singles lined up that may become a project still figuring it all out and I’m also working on some merch ideas as well so I am planning to be really productive and stay in tune with you guys as well here at Buzz Music! #BuzzMusic

  • Get Lost in the Escapism Qualities of “1k Miles” by Miliano

Hailing from Miami, Florida, Miliano is a rap/pop/reggaeton artist who has been making music for more than 10 years. Through his music, Miliano preaches self-confidence and consciousness, and hopes to promote that message to his listeners. His newest release, “1k Miles”, is a pop meets hip-hop crossover track that’s particularly refreshing right now. The way Miliano has structured the track helps give the single something new and appealing. There's a sense of progression through various sections, a movement from quiet and spacious to emotional and fuller sounds. The hip hop aspect doesn’t fully kick in until the latter half. The song thrives on its own ambient sense of love and melodic development. Beautifully delicate and genuine sounding vocals throughout "1k Miles” let the underlying sentiments connect in a believable way, and the beat underneath this really helps build a near trip-hop-like aura that again brings home the meaning and honest intentions of the completed piece. The whole thing works really well. It's a song for lovers, with a hint of nostalgia, but a certain freshness overall. A great song to check out if you’re new to Miliano’s music! Listen to “1k Miles” by Miliano here Welcome to BuzzMusic Miliano! We noticed you’ve released quite a few songs this year! How do you remain on track to write so consistently?  I'm pretty much writing lyrics, ideas, and song names all the time. i use voice memos all day and I usually just record myself freestyling in my car and later create a verse based on my freestyles. Also, I'm genuinely addicted to creating music and exploring new vibes. I'm basically just making/listening to beats 24/7 just because its my favorite thing to do, by far. Do you believe that the way you intend to communicate your messages through your music is easily received by your listeners? Yea definitely. I mean, my mind is always all over the place and I feel like I express different messages in each song I record. A lot of my listeners reach out to me about how they can relate to something I said in a song or about how they partied to a song of mine. So as long as they feel a type of way about it, I'm happy. “1k Miles” was an incredibly versatile and catchy track. Where did you draw the inspiration to create this particular type of sound? Thank you. This song was dope to me because it was organic. The entire song was made in like 30 minutes and I freestyled the entire thing. I love freestyling because I don't overthink any of the lyrics so everything that comes out of my mouth is literally what I'm feeling right then and there. But the idea came from me loving this era of 808 oriented music. I always wanted to do my own heavy 808 twists on a classic chorus. I played some beats and finally heard one with a recognizable chord progression. By like the 5th note I remembered that scene from White Chicks where Terry Crews was trying to serenade the dude dressed up as a chick. So, I wanted to do my own version of that scene but not to a dude dressed up as a chick. That's cool tho...If you're a dude and dress up as a chick. But anyways, I got in the booth and laid down the same hook and then freestyled a verse. It ended up coming out dope and was a really fun process in general. How would you say that “1k Miles” compares to the kind of music you curated when you first started out as an artist? When I first started as an artist I didn't focus on expressing emotion as much as I do now. I used to get really lyrical and think about metaphors, alliteration, assonance, and basically tried to be as lyrical as Black Thought. He's the best lyricist of all time in my opinion. Then, I fell in love with Future's music and found out that he only freestyles. That's really what got me into freestyling so much. It was amazing to me how I felt Pluto's emotions on every song without even paying attention to the words. I don't do it for every song but sometimes I like to do it. So 1k miles is just me expressing my raw emotions a lot more than I did when I first started. It was awesome to be able to present “1k Miles" here on BuzzMusic! What do you think is next for you as an artist? Where do you hope to progress within the next couple of years? I really appreciate you guys for it. Next for me as an artist is releasing my debut EP in 2020. This EP is a mix of thought out lyrical verses with raw emotional hooks. I'm excited about it because I've never really put out a consistent body of work so I think its a dope opportunity to show my true sound. Within the next couple of years, I hope I can inspire more people to feel confident about themselves and to not doubt themselves so much. instagram.com/miliano facebook.com/2020miliano #BuzzMusic

  • Circadian Clock Keeps the Heat Alive with “Summer”

Circadian Clock is a 4 piece rock band originally formed by frontwoman Melissa ‘Beethoven’ in 2008 and relaunched in 2014. They played at various venues getting as much experience as possible when it comes to performing. We listened to Circadian’s Clock single titled “Summer” and we were in love with the melodies and extravagant guitar chords that were delivered in this record. Not only did Circadian Clock give us a riveting arrangement from the piercing guitar to the smashing drums, but the vocals also floated across the instrumentation so smoothly that it felt almost effortless. The way the vocalist had the ability to keep her voice in this smooth-sailing high pitch tone without a single sign of strain or struggle with maneuvering through her register demonstrates a lot of professionalism and high caliber of skill. Circadian Clock is an electrifying band who knows how to amaze you with immensely projecting a bold and radiant performance that will serve as memorable for you as a listener. As unique as their stage name, Circadian Clock knows how to cultivate the entire listener into their music by their invigorating presence. Although Summer may be over, They are surely keeping the season alive with this trail-blazing new hit! Listen to "Summer" here Welcome to BuzzMusic Circadian Clock! Mel: Thanks for having us! How has the journey been for you so far? Mikie: The musical journey is emotionally challenging and inspiring all at the same time. I enjoy it the most when we get to see people enjoy our music as much as we do. Mel: Yes, completely. People tell you it'll be a difficult journey which you think you'll be prepared for, but it always finds ways to surprise you, good and bad. But it's worth it - making music you're proud of with people you love is pretty much my favorite feeling. What has been the most monumental moment of your career that you think helped refreshed your “Why”? Mel: For me personally, the experience I had to perform at SXSW in March accompanying Taimane (who you should absolutely check out if you haven't) was a major catalyst for me - I had always been pursuing music, but seeing how hard everyone there was working to not let fear and anxiety stop them from manifesting what they really wanted, committing completely in ways that seemed so brave and out of reach to me just a week prior but now seemed attainable, only affirmed what I wanted to do and how badly I wanted to do it. I quit my job as a recording studio manager, and have dedicated my focus to playing music/improving all my skills, and laying the foundations for the best future for ourselves as we can, and I've never been happier. Let’s talk about your piercing music! What was the vibe you were seeking to create with “Summer”? Mel: I wanted to capture the intoxicating, fun feeling of summer love and flings, while also capturing the feeling that accompanies nostalgically looking back at it after it's over. A lot of our music is of a heavier nature, so sonically we wanted something that was a little more fun and light. Mikie: The vibe for bass line summer was inspired by the energy of Flea's playing from RHCP. Ari: I was on a ship doing a Rock Of Ages run during the production of the song, so I can’t really speak to it, except that I recorded guitar before leaving and through the power of modern technology we brought all the separate parts together to create the single. Mel: After everybody recorded their parts separately, I ended up sitting with it for a while, and pieced together elements, added a violin solo and changed some production/structure notes at the suggestion of JJ French from Twisted Sister. I showed him what I thought would be my final version of the track, and he rated it a 3/10 without those elements - which made me lose my mind for half a second I'm not gonna lie, but after a while, he said plainly 'If you feel like I'm wrong, and you're completely satisfied with the track as it is, then leave it. However, if what I said bothered you for the reason that any part of you agrees, then you should probably change those things'. In my mind at that point, I was totally done with the track, BUT I did agree with his advice, so I made those last changes and finished it off. It seemed a little tough at the time, but in retrospect, it's exactly what was needed and I'm grateful. What helped inspired you to write this piece? Any specific events, environmental sight-seeing, or experiences that motivated the lyricism behind “Summer”? Mel: I actually wrote the song in winter right before Christmas, I kind of just happened to be thinking up a riff at the same time I was reflecting on the fact that I usually fall for people at the beginning of summer, and the ideas merged. I added in the Porgy and Bess element to it because I love Porgy and Bess, and didn't feel like I could write a song about the summertime without acknowledging that classic. What would you consider the most challenging aspect you had to overcome when releasing this single? Mel: Deciding when it was done/when it was 'good enough', and by what standard. But it was a great learning experience trying to make a track more overtime both in and out of the studio, which allowed everyone to collaborate/explore and let the track breathe, which I think gives it its unique flavor. What can we expect to hear next from you? Mel: Hopefully following this next release, a few more upbeat optimistic songs, honestly - I've spent a lot of time being sad, and we'll no doubt still express that, but this last year has been so wonderful that I don't really feel/hold on to a lot of that darkness or anger anymore, and I wanna celebrate that happiness and joy. It's been a long time coming, damn!
