- BuzzMusic Gets The Details On BINK's Latest Track "Get @ Me"
Welcome to BuzzMusic BINK! Can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and the way you approach making music? Yeah I’m from the east side of Baltimore I lived a life full of poverty and struggle been through a lot and didn’t have too many family moms past and pops was gon working all the time I had to fend for myself. Growing up I had to learn hard lessons and I’m just looking for an outlet which is my music that’s why I put my pain and my soul into it and I reach out to the people who go through the same situations. And I approach making music through emotion mostly and I really want ppl to hear that in my voice so I don’t use autotune or voice enhancers I need my fans to feel the rawness and the adrenaline the pain and hunger everytime I’m in that booth but I’m also versatile and can make love songs street songs storytelling songs just follow my music and you will hear it all. Get @ Me" is a hard-hitting, unapologetic track! How did you come to create this piece? What inspired it? I created this piece haha it’s funny because I was actually beefing with one of my close friends and I’m telling him like you know my address you know where I am you know WHO I am so just getting at me at a nigga like twitter send me ya addy. You mention you've had a rough upbringing but you made it out of the mud! How do you think your upbringing affects who you are as an artist today? I think it affects me as a whole not having a mother I struggle with relationships and dealing with women and finding a queen and not really having my father till the age of 15 I really needed some guidance so I looked to the streets my street brothers and it put me in a lot of situations but they made me better we learn from experience and we grow from it and it makes us that much better and stronger. Do you prefer the more intimate recording process over live performance? How do you personally feel when you're performing your music live? Man....when I’m performing live it’s like I don’t focus on the crowd or what their expressions or expectations are, I see the story I’m telling I see the hunger within myself and I dig deep to portray that in every sentence every syllable and vowel give it my all blood sweat and tears. It was awesome to be able to present "Get @ Me" here on BuzzMusic! What do you think is next for you as an artist? Where do you hope to progress within the next couple of years?! I think my next move is reaching out to a broader audience like I wanna be known in the up Canada Ukraine Germany Africa as well as the us we as artist rarely get love from our own city and I understand as a artist you have to diversify and set yourself apart to make it in the industry so over the next couple years ima continue to grow with my flow my cadence my presence and keep working everyday is another chance and I just want the people to say he gave it all on every last track o want my son to be proud of his father I want my father to be proud of his son and I need a bag so I will continue to progress. And it starts here thank you so much buzz music for having me and I will share with my people and tell the world how you guys gave me my first chance all love and blessings from the heart. #BuzzMusic
- BuzzMusic Talks With Dante Hall On His EP "That's Why I Love You"!
Welcome to BuzzMusic Dante! It's such a pleasure to have you here. Can you tell our readers about how you approach your artistry? How do you manage to fuses nostalgic and refreshing music to create a contemporary new sound? It's a pleasure to be here...thanks for having me! My approach is that I always consider that I want everything about my music, my performance, my social media, my interaction with you at the product table or heck anywhere to FEEL GOOD. And I'd like people to feel refreshed after any encounter with me or any of my music. #GoodVibes I hope that my approach works! I am grateful to have such an amazing team that can hear the fresh "spin" that I like to put on the older sound and they make it happen for me. It's amazing. You would be surprised at how quickly we get locked in in the studio. Congratulations on the release of your EP "That's Why I Love You"! What song featured on this project pulled the most emotion from you? Thanks so much! I feel that this is my best work to date and am happy to release it!!! I believe the single "That's Why I Love You" pulled the most emotion from me although it's very difficult to choose just one. Thinking of the lyrics to "Til You Come Back To Me" and "Roni" pulls on a different type of emotion. That's like asking a parent which child they like the most! haha But I am hoping the listener will go on the emotional journey that each song takes you on. When your listeners experience your new EP, what feelings do you hope wash over them? What was the overall concept of this project? I want them to feel good and become addicted to listening to it straight through like I am. I want them to feel good while listening to it. The concept behind That's Why I Love You is there are not enough songs displaying the genuine love you have for someone...and the reasons why. So I wanted to make a playlist that says "I Love You...and here is why!" you will find that message throughout the EP and actually throughout all of the music I've ever released. It's different when you know why you're loved. The live recording of "Make It Official" was flawless! How would you describe the energy of your live performance? Thanks so much! I wanted to give the people that have only heard my records and studio stuff a glimpse of what a Dante Hall show sounds/like. I have some of the best musicians and background singers on the planet in my opinion. Me being a background singer for Donald Lawrence, Yolanda Adams, and others for all these years has taught me the value of the audience members being able to enjoy everyone on the stage and not the main act only. So it's electrifying because I give space for everyone to shine. I've had some shows here in Chicago this year and they've all been sold out...and the one thing that hears is that "they weren't expecting all of that"..which I exactly what I like. An electrifying experience from start to finish for everyone on stage. There seems to be an overflow of vivid imagery throughout your lyrics. Can you tell us about your creative process? Specifically the writing process for your title track "That's Why I Love You"? Thanks so much. I imagine myself in the lyrics to try to bring it to life. I can tell when I'm not being present which is really easy to do in the studio...so I will not take a pitch-perfect take that is empty or devoid of feelings, I'll take the pitchy heartfelt take...cause I want you to feel it! Actually Percy Bady wrote and produced the Title Track. He told me he'd written a song that was kinda an homage to DeBarge and the songs of old that displayed true love!!! So while I was in the studio with him doing backgrounds for Babyface and Snoh Allegra, we had a break and he was able to sit at the piano and played the song. He was feeding the words as he played the song...I knew immediately that it was my song. My favorite lyric is 'You made me smile again, I pray this smile will never end, That's why I love you so" Thanks for coming on BuzzMusic to talk about your new music and yourself as an artist! What's the next big thing for you artistically? Again, thanks for having me. I just shot the visual for That's Why I Love You, so I'm VERY excited to see how that turns out. I am also ready to hit radio with That's Why I Love You real strong at the top of the year. If it's a success, I plan on touring around the world (Til You Come Back To Me is #1 on the soul charts in the UK)...so I'm tryna be er'where!!! Hahaha. Thanks again!! - Prepare To Be Blown Away By “You Get To Me” By Anna Cole
From North Carolina, Anna Cole is an emerging singer/songwriter who specializes in electro-pop and dance crossover hits. Inspired by notable artists like Dua Lipa, Anne Marie, Sigala, and classic rockers Journey, Anna is well on her way to the top. As an explosive new force in the music scene, Anna Cole is working with top producers including upcoming singles with Austin Leeds (Avicii, Paul Van Dyk). Currently, she is busy working on her EP of all-new material, set to drop spring 2020. Anna Cole dropped her latest track “You Get To Me” and it’s safe to say we’re hooked. “You Get To Me” welcomes both the melancholic embrace of a hypnotizing backdrop and the heartfelt, passionate connection of a song written with depth and intention. That balance is crucial, and really well executed. You relate to that honesty with that vulnerability within “You Get To Me”, and at the same time, it’s easy to turn up loud and escape within. Anna Cole has mastered the art of melodic satisfaction, so the song lingers in your mind long after listening. Despite the lyrical depth, the track energizes and brings together everyone who has felt these emotions and been down these pathways. The moods vary throughout “You Get To Me”, proving Anna to be both a creative and versatile artist. An artist well worth tuning in for. Listen to “You Get To Me” here and read more with Anna Cole below! Hey Anna Cole! We're so happy we can feature you and your latest music here on BuzzMusic! How do you feel your music has been developing over time? It's been going great! I started singing very young and actually released my first EP almost three years ago. I've been hard at work for over four years, refining my abilities and learning the business. I've continued to write and record and be in my studio almost every day, building my team and making great songs! The new EP I'm releasing will come out in the Spring and will feature five songs, at least two or three of them will be brand new releases. I hope to release another music video as well. "You Get To Me" is an incredibly memorable and authentic single. Can you tell us more about how the creation process went for the song? I worked with Charles Forrest from Charlotte, NC on this song. He is a young R&B and Rap-influenced producer. He put some really cool beats to the track. I recorded all of the vocals, as I do with all of my songs, right here in my studio and we collaborated through messaging. He does the beats, I do the vocals. He mixed it down and here we are! We know there are a deeper meaning and story behind "You Get To Me". Are you able to share with our BuzzMusic listeners what the song truly means to you, and where you drew your inspiration from? I wanted to tell a story that almost every person who is young or in school can relate to. The boy is trying to 'play it cool' and the girl is just like 'get real, OK?' Creeping on my Instagram, saying one thing and meaning another, but really he just likes her. Everyone can relate- We’re so impressed by your songwriting abilities and achievements! What has been the most memorable achievement you’ve earned so far? I have been fortunate to receive lots of positive press and I'd say that's what I'm not proud of. From the Associated Press and Teen Music Insider to EQ music and Hype Magazine, I've got some great feedback on both sides of the Atlantic. I'm really proud of that. Thanks for coming to BuzzMuisc to talk with us about your recent music! What can you tell us about the music video for “You Get To Me”? We shot the video in an urban outdoor setting, something different from the others I've done. We shot it in downtown Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina. Patrick Lincoln of Torch House Media did a phenomenal job with the video, and we wanted to capture the vibe of the city as well as show who I am. It worked! This is actually my 10th music video; I've still got five up on my YT channel right now. instagram.com/annacole905 annacole.net/annacole-net-epk facebook.com/annacole905 #BuzzMusic
- Escape Into The Musical Stylings Of “See You” By Steve Harmony
Independent and on his way to the top, Steve Harmony is an up and coming artist from Toronto, Canada. His sound is heavily influenced by Michael Jackson, Usher, Justin Timberlake, and most relevantly, Kanye West’s experimental sound. Steve has had formal training on both vocals and piano, making him a powerhouse in the music industry. Steve Harmony release a slew of singles in 2018, and now has plans to release a 6-track EP later this fall! The project will focus on themes of mental health and awareness. Steve aims to bring people together and change mindsets for the better with his music. Through Steve Harmony’s single “See You”, the roots of the genre stand tall, that voice has character and the bars impress more and more so as the track progresses, but that backbone of authenticity in the beat and the weight of the soundscape helps cement the track as more than worthy of its role within R&B/hip-hop. The second time you spin this that key riff pours through with immediate familiarity. The calling cards of an effective anthem, certain layers, and details that capture your interest from afar. On top of this, Steve Harmony’s vocals add identity, the lyrics feel fresh and genuine, intense but real in what they present. The passion and grit in his voice add further weight to the concept throughout “See You”. A worthy anthem from Steve Harmony, absolutely worth a listen! Give “See You” a listen here and read more with Steve Harmony below! Hello Steve Harmony! We're beyond happy to be featuring you and your song “See You" on BuzzMusic! Tell us about the recording process, and how the overall curative process was for this song? Hey BuzzMusic! It’s an honor to be here, thank you for featuring me! The recording process was spontaneous. It was pretty much a go of the moment type of thing. I heard the beat, started vibing to it. I loved the driving piano lead in the beat. Soon after the chorus lyrics came out, after having a melody, and later on I rapped the verses. I was sick when I recorded the rap verses which is why I sound a little hoarse, and a little Jadakiss-ish haha! “See You" is surging with articulate emotions. What kind of feelings did you want listeners to be washed over with when listening to the song? I wanted listeners to feel the passion. I’m not quite sure what single emotion to relate it to, but it’s definitely a mix of Love & Hate. The feeling of Hatred for people you thought you were close with, experiencing betrayal. And the unconditional love you give to yourself and your true friends and family. The salute “See You” is directed to the pretenders who continuously come around to drain your energy and dim your light. How would you say your music now compares to the music you curated when you first started out in the music industry? The music I’m making now is mainly experience-driven. When I first started making music I was in my teens, just talking about how much I liked girls. I’m now in my 30s and I’ve definitely seen highs and lows in life as a whole. So the music that I make now reflects all of that. My music now is also very Biblically inspired. What predominant message was integrated within "See You"? The predominant message of “See You” is a Patient “Hello / Middle Finger” (For lack of better words or gestures) to those individuals who constantly and deliberately use, abuse, and drain your energy whenever they impose themselves on you. Previous times you would be subjected to their shame or guilt for the ways you didn’t measure up to their standards and the tactics they would use to constantly keep you under. But now being wise to their wiles you simply say “See you when you come around” to them for the next time they make an attempt at leeching of your spirit. Thanks so much for talking with us Steve Harmony! What would you say inspires you and your music the most? Again, thanks for having me! As I mentioned before, that would be a biblical inspiration. After actually reading and applying biblical scripture, that gave me understanding and direction, which gave a second wind at life and my music. The Bible at this point in my life gives me clear direction on how to move forward, where I went wrong in the past, and how to operate in these present times. For me, it is a complete resolve. - Eclectic & Future-Forward R&B Duo VBRTR Release "Fantasy"
R&B duo VBRTR, composed of Jono Cruz and Lee Chan, is innovative to say the very least. Being nominated twice for Sask Music Awards in 2018 for Electronic Artist of the Year and Producer of the Year, you'll give a listen to VBRTR and automatically think that their production is completely fascinating. Their music is elevating all the familiar R&B aspects we're used to, and yet transforming such elevation into a new, unfamiliar sound. The rhythm is filled with relaxing, yet robust energy, and we're entranced by the collaborative effect VBRTR possesses. You're going to receive numerous dynamic elements to the sounding of VBRTR in their latest track "Fantasy". There's a wide range of synths incorporated into the track in order to mimic a psychedelic effect and elevate the overall executed sound of VBRTR. "Fantasy" is lustful, and filled with an alluring lyricism that will easily captivate any listener. "Fantasy" is filled with underlying eccentric energy that emulates with the synchronizing beat. VBRTR knows how to stimulate their audience, and create an atmosphere that is beyond contemporary. "Fantasy" is modern, it's intriguing in all senses, and is programmed with meticulous effort. The vocal effort on VBRTR's end is striking and ultimately authentic. We're waiting to see what VBRTR can come out with next, and how exactly they'll shape our moods with their next hit! Listen to "Fantasy" here Hey VBRTR! Thanks for coming on BuzzMusic to showcase your latest track "Fantasy"! How has the feedback been on the track thus far? Hello BuzzMusic. Fantasy has been received well! We've been getting a lot of comments, especially a lot of surprised reactions. This song is much darker than we think people were expecting and are used to. The sounding of "Fantasy" is incredibly future-forward within the R&B music scene. We haven't heard a ton of tracks similar to the soundings of VBRTR, especially in "Fantasy". Where do you draw such innovative inspiration from in order to create newfound soundings? Great question! We constantly think about how to push R&B into new territories and we like to include our electronic influences, even if they're obscure. For Fantasy, we combined R&B with UK Garage, an electronic style our younger listeners are probably less familiar with. What's interesting is that R&B-Garage crossovers are actually quite common. Ariana Grande released a single, although, her song seems to hide its electronic influence by playing slower and using softer drums. In our version, we decided to test how far we could lean into the electronic while still preserving the R&B feel. Can you describe how your performances have been? Is it surging electrical feel while on stage, especially when you were both DJ'ing? Each performance feels so different since every crowd is so different! As DJs, this is something we're used to - we've each had to learn to read entire rooms of people on different nights. So in that sense, yes! It's an electric feeling! We're constantly on our toes, and because of that, we're able to improvise our sets and interact with the specific crowd. Being on your separate paths for so long as musicians, how did you feel coming together to create VBRTR, after being solo for so many years prior? These days many artists need to be their own managers, so creating VBRTR was a big relief! There's so much work to do between the two of us, and I can't imagine what it must be like for solo musicians who might have less support around them. As a duo, we've been able to accomplish so much more and create the music we love at the same time. How do you think VBRTR can elevate itself and its sound next? We're challenging VBRTR by putting together our first, full-length album. This will be the true test of our abilities. Our goal is to make every track a hit, no filler! instagram.com/vbrtrmusic facebook.com/vbrtrmusic twitter.com/vbrtrmusic soundcloud.com/vbrtrmusic www.vbrtrmusic.com #BuzzMusic
- L0B0 Drop New 2019 Banger “96 Baby”
Influences are a huge part of making artists who they are, it’s the most integral part of what inspires their sound. For Tennessee-based rapper L0B0, his influences include King Los, Tupac, Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, and A$AP Rocky, to name a few. L0B0 is both an experienced rapper, lyricist, and producer, as well as a University of Tennessee graduate. While attending college, L0B0 perfected his rap abilities by freestyling every day for those 4 years. He has now released 3 mixtapes, “Mood Muzik”, “Mood Muzik 2”, and “MM3” and shows no signs of stopping. L0B0’s new track “96 Baby” is a contemporary hip hop banger in the vocal effects and the beat. From the offset, you get an image of L0B0 as fairly poetic and more of a deep thinker than most. “96 Baby” is a contagious, upbeat anthem, that we happily hit the repeat button on. It’s refreshing, and it sets the tone well if you’re visiting L0B0’s music for the first time. The track features pondering lyricism that questions the world and the artist’s role with it. Rarely do you get a series of enjoyable beats such as this, accompanied by the actual lyrical substance. “96 Baby” tells stories that stay on topic, as opposed to arbitrary rhymes or references in bars that purely seem relevant or popular right now. This new release, “96 Baby”, really introduces L0B0 in a likable and intelligent way! We look forward to hearing more. Listen to “96 Baby” here instagram.com/l0b0_snapg0d
- Kacey V Delivers Confident & Unapologetic Vocals In “Jealous”
Singer/songwriter extraordinaire Kacey V brings something brilliantly unique to the scene with her new single “Jealous”. Hailing from New York City, Kacey V brings unapologetic lyrics and an authentic new sound to the music scene. Fusing a quickly engaging, rhythmically entrancing soundscape, with blissfully delicate vocals, and a substantial, intentional and meaningful lyrical substance, “Jealous” is the synth-pop hit we’ve all been craving. When Kacey V’s vocals open up in this new single, her tone is mesmerizing, equipped with breathy verses, she sounds every bit her own vocalist. A catchy melody rumbles and drives right through the heart of this song, insistently underpinning the satisfying chord changes that refuse to be ignored. It’s clearly been loved and there are buzz, warmth and bubbly synths at the edges, too. ”Jealous” feels like it’s breathing as it takes you on a journey through the motions. We are granted a rich listening experience that flies in the face of the meaningful lyrics that deal with the concept that the title insists and is built up with a clever backing vocal arrangement that all drives to a satisfying broken-down outro. Based on the passion and commitment demonstrated within “Jealous”, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Kacey V! Listen to “Jealous” here Welcome to BuzzMusic Kacey V! As an artist, how do you find time to focus your energy on your passion? Does your creativity manifest itself in other ways? Thank you! As an artist, I make sure to carve out “me time” to have moments to be reflective and creative. Sometimes though, inspiration hits when you least expect it, and I do my best to write or record any ideas no matter where I am (e.g. mall bathrooms, restaurant napkins, Ubers)! In addition to music, my creativity definitely manifests itself in writing. I have notebooks & folders of short stories and typed up chapters of books that will, I’m sure, remain unfinished lol. Who has had the biggest influence on your life musically thus far? Can you describe the impact this particular individual has had in terms of your new song “Jealous”? It's hard to pick one influence because it's a combination of my favorite artists that inspires me. For "Jealous" though, I wanted to be as honest as possible. An artist that is consistently honest, raw, and vulnerable in pop music today is Julia Michaels. I am so inspired by how she approaches her songwriting. How has your songwriting style changed or developed from when you first began writing seriously? I started out writing country music! Ironically, it wasn’t until after I moved to Nashville in 2017 that I started to shift gears and explore my passion for pop music. It felt way more me, both lyrically and sonically. “Jealous” had a powerful underlying story to it. Are you able to dive deeper into the honest meaning of the track? My goal is to always be real in my music, even if that means letting listeners in on everything I’m feeling. “Jealous” reveals a not-so-cute side of myself, and what it’s like to deal with the overthinking and anxiety that often creep into my relationships. Thank you for telling us more about yourself and artistry! We’d love to hear more from you. What’s next for you artistically? I’m in the studio creating and finishing up songs that will be on my debut EP, out in 2020! kaceyv.com facebook.com/kaceyv instagram.com/itskaceyv twitter.com/itskaceyv #BuzzMusic
- Zanya Releases Quirky Visuals For Single "Semana Pasada"
Zanya is a gifted singer/songwriter, who in 2015, up and moved her life to Los Angeles and began using her professional name Zanya. Pulling inspiration from R&B, to modern-day indie-pop with a twist, ZANYA collaborates with her bandmates Pat Reaves (Bass) and Drew Carsillo (Guitar) to create a sound that is all their own. A live show from Zanya showcases the multi-talented artist's strength and ability to muli-task. Zanya plays guitar, synth and sings live (sometimes all at once) and her bandmates, Pat and Drew take an unconventional approach to their instruments adding to the energy on stage. Zanya just released a brand new music video for her single "Semana Pasada", which translates to “Last Week”. Shot and directed by Zack Hosseini, the video features bizarre imagery to capture the chaos inside the mind of Zanya. From laying on the floor, being controlled like a puppet, diving into unknown waters, or getting messing in a baking fiasco, the video stays upbeat and energizing throughout. It completely captivates throughout every moment through quirky costumes and colorful imagery. It’s absolutely worth a watch or two and we can’t wait to hear more from Zanya. Check out "Semana Pasada" and read more with Zanya below! Hey ZANYA! Welcome to BuzzMusic! We're incredibly excited to be featuring your newest single "Semana Pasada"! Tell us about the recording process, and how the overall curative process was for this song? When we wrote this song, I had just gone through a really tough chapter in my life. I had just gotten diagnosed with PTSD and was really struggling with it. I was talking with Pat and Drew about it and they were just like "Write about it. Don't sit in your pain forever. Make something out of it." That same night at our studio in DTLA, the words "Doing much better than last week" just sort of poured out. I layered some harmonies on top of it, threw a drum beat down and we all started jamming to that vocal loop on repeat. How do you think "Semana Pasada" compares to your earlier releases featured on “Loves You”? How do you think your overall sound has progressed since the release of your first EP? Our creative process has changed since the "Loves You" EP. We've started to demo our songs, chop them up and then rewrite them. Usually, the first pass at writing is sonic chaos (at least for us anyway), so the second pass is our way of figuring out what we like about the song and building from that. Other times, I write the song, demo it and then bring it to the guys so they can add their twist to it. Who has had the biggest influence on your life musically thus far? Can you describe the impact this particular individual has had in terms of your sound/progression as an artist? There have been so many people that I've been inspired by, but my surroundings inspire me more than any person could. I've lived in so many different places and moved around so much. Each time I'm in a new place, I absorb the environment around me and that influences my music. We loved the music video for "Semana Pasada"! What was the overall concept? What was the filming process like with Zack Hosseini? When I wrote the treatment for the video my biggest concern was being able to address mental illness in a digestible way and still have people find it entertaining. We decided to use humor as an unorthodox way to get our message across. You might be struggling, and feel like total shit, but you're not alone. Mental illnesses should be seen as a speed bump and not an insurmountable mountain to climb. Working with Zack was GREAT! We all get along so well and I think that chemistry projects well on camera. Zack is such a superstar. We feel really lucky to be working with him. It was great having you here on BuzzMusic! Tell us more about what's next for you after this video release? Any shows in the near future? We have so much more music and so many other crazy projects to share with you before 2020 hits! You can catch us at the Hotel Cafe on 10/24. After that, we're going back under our creative rock for a couple of months. I'm super excited and really proud of everything that we've been working on. It means a lot to us that other people relate to our art and can see themselves in it. It's the best feeling! instagram.com/zanyalovesyou facebook.com/zanyamusic zanyalovesyou.com #BuzzMusic

Kar's approach to the lyrics and tone of the song is tender and fresh. The intricate soundscape is crafted using a symphony of instruments that intertwine beautifully. Charlie on guitar creates an amazing backdrop for the track. It's cool, mellow sound guides the listener into the melancholic bliss that Kar creates oh so well. The solo, the beat throughout, and most of all, the twangy sounds, draw you in even deeper. And yes, those stringy notes are addicting. Kathryn and Charlie's vocals are the cherry on top. - JSPH Release “Lying to Yourself” In Preparation For Upcoming EP “Abide”
Joseph Nevels known as JSPH is a talented singer, previously a law school-graduate originating from Kentucky. JSPH has been featured on NPR Music, KCRW and more notably on Pharell’s Beats1 playlist for his single titled, “Breathe”. Within a short time of living in LA he's seen airtime on Los Angeles' NPR Station (KCRW) and performed a stellar show at the highly respected music venue Hotel Cafe in Hollywood; a place known for breaking talent nationally. Since then, JSPH has consistently released smash singles. JSPH’s much-anticipated EP “Abide” is set to drop later this fall! “Lying to Yourself,” is the first single from the project and was produced by DJ Corbett who has also worked with Chris Brown, Big Sean, and Nipsey Hussle. “Lying to Yourself” is straight to the point and direct, you can feel the passion throughout this song combined with his usual witty lyrics. Blending soulful pop tones with meandering R&B progressions, resulting in an ultimately creative aura that stylishly walks the line between R&B dance vibes and something a little closer to hip hop, the single moves to the beat of its own drum.JSPH drives with a sense of intention, and plenty of space. The soundscape on this leans partly towards those late-night vibes but partly resides somewhere a little harder hitting. By the time the track comes to an end, that backbeat has energized the room, and that hook has softly but surely woven its way into your ear. “Lying to Yourself” puts JSPH’s heart on display and everything about the delivery and the structure works hard to reflect that. There’s plenty more music to come, stay tuned! Listen to “Lying to Yourself” here instagram.com/jsphnvls twitter.com/jsphnvls facebook.com/JSPHNVLS
