  • Hello Existence Drops Powerful Track “Cigarettes”

Residing in San Diego, California, Hello Existence is the creative project from the gifted singer/songwriter C.J. Sanchez. Formally living in the Coachella Valley of Southern California, CJ moved to San Diego in early 2018. That year he released his debut EP “Vol. I” under the stage name Hello Existence and received much success. Known for his detailed lyricism and explosive live performances, Sanchez has been previously compared to Elliott Smith and Ryan Adams. He is currently working on his latest Hello Existence EP, set to roll out later this year! “Cigarettes” by Hello Existence is everything you’d expect it to be and more. A satisfying head buzz, Hello Existence begins “Cigarettes” with a slow and steady melancholic rhythm. CJ expertly transitions into an upbeat and lighthearted melody to sweep you away. As a powerhouse vocalist, CJ’s raw energy and true grit shines its brightest during the spectacular hook. CJ sings “Your love’s a highway robber with a gun. And I know whatever I’ve got babe, ain’t enough. Oh baby, you know it ain’t enough... So pull your trigger and lay me down”, in a poetic lyrical surrender and so much emotion it bleeds through the speakers. Authentic to the core and bringing real music back to the industry, stay on the lookout for Hello Existence! Check out “Cigarettes” here and read more in our exclusive interview below! Hi CJ! Welcome to BuzzMusic, how did you choose the name Hello Existence? What does it represent for you? One of my friends had said it during a conversation to describe their initial thought upon waking up with the sun in their face in addition to their first hangover. Another friend who was there looked over at me right away and said “That should be your name”. I sort of just chuckled and shrugged it off, but moments later I got a huge smile on my face and started shouting “That’s perfect!”. At the time it didn’t mean anything, it just sounded right. The name is ambiguous enough to where it can mean whatever you want it to, but for me it means realization— of self, life, everything. A true awakening. Let’s talk about “Cigarettes”! We love the lyricism, you’re very talented. What’s the meaning behind this track? What inspired it? Thank you. Hmm. Apparently I have a burning desire for my lover to gun me down haha. I don’t know. When I first wrote it, it was just a story. It still is just story, but the theme is always different. Sometimes it’s about letting go of something you know is bad for you. Sometimes it’s about diving fully into whatever it is that scares you. I’d be more curious to know what other people think it’s about. Songs are just songs until someone listens I think. That’s when they really become something and develop a meaning. How did you get into music? What age did you start performing/writing? My dad. He played a lot of great music when I was growing up. From Tom Petty and Neil Young to Led Zeppelin and Queens of the Stone Age. He plays guitar and got me one when I was ten. I started writing when I was eleven. There was a brief period of time in my late teens when I didn’t really touch my guitar. Definitely wasn’t writing or making anything new. Then around twenty or twenty-one something clicked and I dove back into making things. I didn’t start performing in front of people until I was twenty-two, but I love it! What theme can we expect from your new EP later this year? The goal for this next EP is to display as much of my own sound as possible. I’m still fairly new as an artist and haven’t really got to solidify my sound.  I have so many ideas floating around in my head and I’m finally in place where I’m working with a producer and musicians who can really help me bring those ideas to life. I’m very excited to share it with everyone once it’s finished. Can you describe your stage presence for someone who has never seen you live before? It can be best compared to the angsty teenager singing sad songs at the top of their lungs alone in their bedroom (aka our best selves). I’m just kidding, but I do tend to put a lot into my solo sets. The aim is always to get lost in the performance during the set. At least during the songs. In between songs it just depends on my mood. Sometimes I’m really silly and loud. Other times I can be more reserved and shy I guess. Now that I have a band the shows are going to start getting bigger. The songs are all coming to life beautifully. I can’t wait. • Mic Rocca Represents True Hip-Hop With His Single, “So Liva”

Up and coming rapper representing the Pasadena, CA area, Mic Rocca rebranded himself after ripping stages apart with his past stage name M.I.C. Mic Rocca released “So Liva” and this single had us hyped the instance we heard it. It had this west coast flare to the production of the beat. A good representation of Mic Rocca’s background. The delivery and flow were insane! It was laid-back with light-hearted aggression to give it that right push on emphasis. The melody in the hook reminded me of the OG’s in hip-hop. As a big hip-hop head, I loved the lyrical element provided to “So Liva”. It showcased the raw authenticity that’s still presented in the culture of hip-hop. Mic Rocca doesn’t shy away from being a true lyricist that’s individual to his story and thoughts. “So Liva” was a classic rap song that gave you a true California swag feeling with a bonafide delivery and tone that the generational lovers of hip-hop will love. Check out "So Liva" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic Mic Rocca! What encouraged you to rebrand your artist name? What’s the story behind it? I’ve always looked at myself as more than just a rapper, I consider myself a business entity. Every business needs rebranding and touched up every now and then. I was actually close to giving up, but rebranding myself brought the passion of music back into my life, it gave me something to be excited about again.Let’s talk a bit about your influences! Who in particular would you say inspires you the most as an rapper? Jay-Z, I’ve been a fan of that guy since “The Dynasty”. Attended many of his shows, purchased countless records. Not only has he influenced me as an artist but also as a businessman. I’ve smoked cigars at the 40/40 and I remember when Dusse was Armadale. In what ways has your environment impacted your music? We noticed a west-coast flare in “So Liva” so we had to ask! My environment is a little different from the typical west-coast environment you see in the movies, flooded with gang activity and oppression. I’m from Pasadena, a suburb of LA. Every city has their bad parts, but growing up in Pasadena I had a chance. All the chances given is combined in my music, to show people there are other ways to get it, besides just rapping or getting some street cred from one of the homies that can really careless about your success. You could rap, but add some more hustles to it, start acting, open up a store or start a clothing line, I’m tryna get it from all angles, just like a lot of the wealthy folks that come from my environment. What’s the meaning behind “So Liva”? How does it represent you? “So Liva” is a mixture of “Saliva” which is spitting, at the same time, I’m “So much more live” than my competition. I created this song to say “ yo I make mainstream tracks but I can spit that lyrical shit too” lol it represents me in so many ways, the best way is to say “Don’t sleep on me” don’t think for one second because I’m singing on the hook I can’t flame you lyrically. I could be conscious or mainstream. What’s next for you Mic Rocca? More new music, please look out for my videos. New clothing line. Performances...please PULL UP to my shows whenever you see me in your city! Stay connected with Mic Rocca on social media www.instagram.com/therealmicrocca www.facebook.com/TheRoccaCycle #BuzzMusic

  • The Ruffolos Gives Their Listener The ULTIMATE Reggae Rock Experience

Reggae Rock is a fascinating genre to me. Not only is it relaxing but it’s one of many music’s forms of imagery. It creates settings for us and relaxation. So when we heard that The Ruffolos, the trio based out of Pico Rivera, California were representing this genre, you can bet we were excited! The Ruffolos released their single “Samuel L. Jackson”. The interesting aspect of this single was immediately the eye-catching title. I instantly thought of the actor Samuel L. Jackson and the roles he tends to play as an actor. The multiple characters he’s represented in film and television all had this badass persona about them. So once I heard the actual song, to say I wasn’t surprised about how badass the record was would be an overstatement. I just knew The Ruffolos were about to deliver us a jam! And a jam is what they surely delivered. The rapid and exhilarating energy the rhythm of the drums gave represented that supersonic roots in rock n roll tempo! This was thanks to the amazing drummer Timmy Bivens also known as, “TittyTwisterTim”. The Bassist, Tuba, and Backup vocalist, Sir Martin Ortiz II who goes by the name of “Girthbrooks” delivered us that soulful substance that most reggaeton is equipped with. The Singer/Songwriter, Guitarist, and Vocalist, Robert Casas also known as “SequoiaRob” gave us a nice fusion of raw rock n roll grit with a soulful texturized tone to detail the reggae element, while still giving us electrifying chords from the guitar! “Samuel L. Jackson” was a smashing hit with a multitude of components to create the true experience of Reggae Rock one of a kind for its listener! Check out the track here! Keep scrolling for our exclusive interview. Welcome to BuzzMusic The Ruffolos! What drawn you to the style of Reggae Rock? From your artist perspective, how would you describe this genre? · We are actually drawn to all types of genres of music but if we had to classify our sound into something it would be Reggae Rock. To us, Reggae Rock is simply feel good music. Music that allows people to party and have a good time! It is a genre that we can contribute our diverse backgrounds of musical influences (Ska, Punk, Rock, Funk, Blues, Classical etc.) into a sound that appeals to all ages. As a trio, how do you manage to fuse the multiple personalities into one sound for the band? How is it challenging? · When you have a band that is all on the same page – goals, dreams, and aspirations – you get a sound that is fun for all! It only becomes challenging when there is lack of communication. It’s basically a marriage, but our babies are songs. Let’s talk about your killer music! Listening to “Samuel L. Jackson” was a nice mood changer. Noticing the eye catching title we must ask, what was the inspiration behind it? How does the title reflect the theme of the song? · We play with all types of genres of music – Reggae, Indie, Alternative, Hip Hop, Funk, Blues, Punk etc. – but we noticed we did not have a “In Your Face” type of song… So who better to be inspired by than Samuel L. Jackson! The Baddest Motherfucka in showbiz. Were there any specific lyric arrangements you were aiming for? · One day #SequoiaRob, #GirthBrooks and our photographer @snappinturtle_ were sitting around jamming and realized we made a hit! Then we started aiming for a sound that we felt Samuel L. Jackson would be proud of. Who knows… maybe he will use it in a future film or play it at his parties! We just try to create feel good music/lyrics that are fun to play and fun to hear. What’s next for you this summer The Ruffolos? · Currently we have transitioned to a new drummer #TittyTwisterTim and have many new songs in the works! We plan to continue booking gigs and making tips at live shows, which have crowd-funded our EPs in the past. We also have plans to create a monthly Punky Reggae Party event with our sister band @jabbermouth_ and other bands throughout Los Angeles. Anyway, if you like what you heard, then you will love what is to come! Thank you for your time and support. Reco Bandz comes equipped with a flow-molded for visual storytelling and is known for his energetic personality and honesty in his music. Going in we didn’t know what to expect with Reco Bandz! Check out "Ol Me" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic Reco Bandz! In what ways has your upbringing and background impacted your artistry today? Growing up in the hough community in Cleveland basically influenced the struggle in my music based on the lifestyle of hough. The motivation behind any community member in the hough area has always been motivated by money and business based on the history of the 1966 Hough Riots and the aftermath of what happened to our community underlined by racism. My background behind my music is influenced mostly by my family because my mother and father were DJ’s while I was growing up so I was raised around local artists playing local music in the Cleveland culture. Knowing you’re a rapper, what’s your take on the current state of hip-hop? Who are some artists you’re listening too? Based on the current state of hip hop  I personally feel like no artists are providing organic hip hop right now which is why I only listen to myself in order to focus on my personal growth in music. My musical influences growing up were Lil Wayne and the Hot Boyz after watching the “Block is Hot” music video at 6 or 7 years old I knew I wanted to rap. Where do you find inspiration for most of your songwriting Reco Bandz? Most of my inspiration behind my music come from personal experiences in my life that I have been through or are currently going through. What’s the major theme that’s behind “Ol Me”? The major theme behind “Ol Me” is to express the journey of my past through my music growing up in the Hough neighborhood. The Ol Me EP was the beginning of “Reco Bandz” establishing my rebirth and persona as a rapper. Any exciting summer plans for you? This summer I am focused on doing more shows and promoting myself while being a voice for the youth in my city. Rock n roll to the core and never taking their foot off the gas pedal, All The Locals continue their successful climb to the top. Check out the entire EP “Another Way To Breathe” on all streaming platforms and keep up with All The Locals for upcoming releases and shows! Listen to “Some Days Gotta Go” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome back All The Locals! What have you all been up to since the release of your new EP “Another Way To Breathe”? Since the release in March, we have been on the road performing, promoting, gearing up for upcoming shows, and even writing new tunes. We recently built a studio outside of Atlanta to further control our production. It never stops. We make it happen for ourselves, along with our team that works with us and of course our fans! The art and its process are what inspire us, especially when it transpires into a listeners’ ear and out of their mouth with the lyrics you wrote. However, the biz behind the music can not be neglected, you gotta stay on top of opportunities. Often the most talented or interesting artists can get drowned out just because they don’t have big companies on their shoulders. We love this upbeat track! Tell us more about “Some Days Gotta Go” This track was the most natural and fun tune to produce on the latest EP. It was recorded purely, with the full band in a room playing to each others vibe. This track is what inspired us to bring horns and brass back into our sound. Our buddies from Misnomer Sound (brass soul band outta Athens, Ga, formerly horns for Futurebirds, etc), literally showed up to the studio two days of notice to lay down what you hear. The sound had a groove at the beginning that was infectious to the audience when we would improv it at live shows, so we had to set it in stone for our listeners. Side note: you ever heard the classic 90’s song (yes 90’s are classic now ;) ‘Closing Time,’ by Semisonic? Well we wanted to write another upbeat song based on the idea that “its time to get the hell out of the bar, were closed!’ Hence the line in the song “its 4am on Monday, some days gotta go”. Often when we are playing on the road in clubs, we see the lights come on at 2am and there is still that group of folks that want to continue like its 10pm on Friday. This song is an ode to the Sunday scaries, knowing that the new week is right around the corner and you gotta face the music.. What do you want your listeners to take away from your music? We want this song to make you clap and dance. Enjoy every moment when you’re out having fun with your friends, because time flies and monday is ‘round the corner. Did you make any major changes to “Some Days Gotta Go” once you were in the recording studio, lyrically or sonically? Not really, we always had the vision and meaning behind the song. The song came together quickly, Ty had the perfect guitar leads, Glenn was pocket god on bass fills, Mikey laid the bed, and Justin could play that beat alone and make ya dance. Perhaps the horn section parts in the mix were the last puzzle piece. We wanted to keep this song as organic and natural, like any good funk/pop tune. We might often end our set with the song, especially if it is after midnight ;) How do you feed your passion for making music everyday? Music has always been a best friend to us growing up in the south. We craft it, pay for it, travel for it, read about it, and continue to learn everyday. Nothing has changed. There are downsides though, sometimes the biz can backfire. However, nothing is better than seeing someone you’ve never met, buy a ticket to your show on a weekday and sing along with you! With a stunning new music video out now, “All Of Me”’s visualization further represents many things in regards to Jane’s career move, relationship, and self confidence and love. The video depicts vast landscapes and gorgeous scenery. I can’t help but compare that to the vast beauty of who Jane is as a person, as well as how she’s branching out within her career and choosing to debut solo single! “All Of Me” more literally takes the listener on a vulnerable journey through Jane Handcock’s hopes, fears, and warnings about giving her love. Where was the music video for “All Of Me” filmed? How was the shooting process for you? We filmed in Half Moon Bay, California. Not a bunch of people hanging around. It was very relaxing just shooting around the water & trees. I love nature plus, the weather was perfect. If you could collaborate with one artist or producer in the world, who would you choose and why? It’s difficult to just say one 🥴 lol... I’ll say Pharrell as one. I feel like our sounds together would be epic. I also feel like he’d teach me a lot. What are three things you want your fans to know about you? I’m very chill & down to earth lol. I’m a bit of a wild card at times. & lastly... I’m just getting started! Keep up with Jane through her socials! www.instagram.com/handcockjay www.facebook.com/msjanehandcock #BuzzMusic

Throughout High School I never got a chance to get into music because I always Juggled two to three sports(Basketball, Track and Field(Indoor and Outdoor) Year round. What is your favorite lyric? Why? These are my favorite lyrics from this song because it basically sums up who I am as a person- one who is not ego driven and and strives to judge people based off of their character instead financial and individual achievements. What do you hope listeners take away from hearing “Tell ‘Em”? What I want Listeners to take away from Tell "EM is that Senseless killings in the Urban Communities has to stop. There are too many outside factors that contribute to the overall state of communities of color for us not to come together and unite. Who are your top three musical influences? My top three musical influences are Stevie Wonder, Jadakiss and Lauryn Hill. What do you think sets you apart from other artists? What I think is going to set me apart from other Rap Artists is Love and Knowledge of those that came before me. As we know Hip-Hop is a Genre in which many Artists pull from various musical experiences old and new to recreate new concepts and musical ideas. I believe that my knowledge and Ear for classic hip-hop, soul and R&B gives me the tools I need to Set New Trends instead of follow what are artists are doing. • Corbella Takes You On A Wild Ride To Remember With Their Self-Titled Debut EP, “Corbella”

Austin-Based rock band Corbella formed in 2017. Their lineup? Well let’s go in-depth about it, shall we! Lead singer Britny Lobas' distinctive and powerful voice commands your attention while the playing of her bandmates—Russell Simonson, bass; Alec Cabrera, drums; and Ricky Jones, guitar—draws you into an atmosphere from which you won't want to leave. Corbella released their self-titled debut EP this year titled “Corbella” and if you want to get a dose of true artistry and a little bit of who this band is then we highly recommend you take a listen! The opening of this project begins with “Storm”. “Storm” had a funky and soulful groove in the electric instrumental while Britny gives us a strong vocal delivery. The rich texture she has on her vocals carries you into the song in the beginning before letting us go with a powerful vocal belt that will have you mesmerized! “Storm”, just like the title of the song was intoxicating and sensational. The guitar solo was a SMASH. “Storm” was a nice opener and keeps our anticipation ready for what’s next! The next single “Go” had a completely different vibe from “Storm”. I personally loved this song. It was more bluesy, and soulful, with a significant amount of emotional conviction and sass. This devious record brought an fiery atmosphere to the project, and of course, you’re stunned by the striking vocal dynamics from Britny. Corbella continues showing us they’re the jack of all trades with the next single, “Midnight” already beginning high-paced and exhilarating. If you’re a lover for a good adrenaline rush then “Midnight” will be the song for you! But wait, what’s a good adrenaline rush without moments of slow build-up? “Midnight” has a moment where they strip down the electric energy with a more melodic approach before picking up the speed! Taking its listener on a wild ride. Now once it feels as if you reached your destination, it’s just simply a sultry road-bump with “Burn”. This sensual like record kept the sass alive with a more tenacious projection on the instrumental playing rather than the vocals. But you can always count on the vocalist to give you her piercing belts and riveting dynamic changes! After an electrifying ride that allowed us to let loose and free, it feels like we finally have reached our destination! The closing song “Minds” felt like it focused more on the lyrical arrangement than anything. The lyrics and delivery of the vocals were so passionately driven you felt the soul resonate to yourself as an listener. The way Corbella intertwines us with their EP was quite the experience. With powerhouse vocals, cutting guitar riffs and memorable melodies, Corbella is creating their own definition of Rock & Pop. Check out the full EP here! Read more below in our exclusive interview. Welcome Corbella to BuzzMusic! Tell us about the cool name! What’s the story behind “Corbella”? Britny: Corbella was formed in late 2017, early 2018. Myself, bassist Russell and drummer Alec had been bandmates in a previous project for a while and decided we all wanted to go in a different direction. So end of 2017 we took a few months to re-brand, re-focus, and really find the right sound we wanted. Shortly after, Ricky joined us. He brought a whole new sound and different musical influcenes to the table, which was just what we were all looking for. We started jamming, then writing and the music just starting flowing out. We all just vibed great. Every song that we write is a journey of some kind and it's been amazing to create with my friends and share it with so many people! The band name "Corbella" came from a fun hang one night after some indulging. Ricky had just joined the band and we were all pretty excited. The name comes from Latin heritage and Alec and I are both of hispanic decent. When Russell discovered the name on Urban Dictionary, meaning 'beautiful heart' , we all dug it and it kind of just stuck! As a band, were there any influences for your style and sound? Or would you say your sound is something that was developed on its own? Britny: Having four members in a band, we have four different types of influences. Which is great! Because all of our influences impact our songwriting. For me, I grew up singing in church, so my roots dig deep in gospel and soul music. Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Amy Winehouse, to more modern day Christina Aguilera and Zz Ward. Then you know, my dad is musician and rock n roller so of course I was raised on the greats. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Stones to name a few. You have a successful debut EP! What was the main theme of this project? Britny: Thank you! When writing, for me personally, I need to really feel what I'm saying. Whether it's personal or not. I need to to believe in it. This EP was sort of a personal timeline, for me, of life events. Music hits everyone different ya know, so the theme is always to bring people real music and keep it alive. Music with guitars, drums, bass and real vocals! We always want our music to be infectious and hit people. We want people to come to our shows ready to dance and have a great time! Which song off “Corbella” did you think best represent the EP and your band? And why? Britny: Thats a tough one! I would say, "Go" or "Storm". There are thematic similarities between the two of them. They are about triumphs after struggles, and about letting go and finding yourself. I think so many people can relate to this. I think the songs inspire people and make you feel something. They are both really singable too and at live shows the energy with the crowd is always amazing! Any exciting live shows coming up? Britny: Yes! Tomorrow night in Austin, Texas at Stubbs. It's our EP release show and we have a great lineup with Clay Melton (Houston), Elevaded and The Matters. There's only a few tickets are left!  We can't wait! We've really poured a lot into this EP and can't wait for the world to finally hear it. Starting this fall we will be hitting the road and doing small tour runs in and around Texas! Which we are really looking forward to it! Stay connected with Corbella through their socials! Instagram: www.instagram.com/corbella_band FacebookL www.facebook.com/corbellaband #BuzzMusic
