  • Martize Delivers The Heat On "500 Degrees"!

A songwriter, producer, rapper, and singer, Martize is a multi-faceted talented individual who is a once in a lifetime type of artist. Whether it’s his harmonizing melodies or raunchy wordplay, Martize knows how to get the job done. Martize's releases his single titled “500 Degrees” and he was able to deliver an exclusive flow with charactable lyrics that showcases his unique caliber of a songwriter. The beat in “500 Degrees” reminds me similar to a beat that Drake would hop on and kill. However, Tize shows us we don’t need a drake for the heat to still be distributed! Tize absolutely demolishes the beat with a flow so addictive and fire you can’t help but love. His rap style reminds me of those A-list rappers who had a career filled with longevity and success such as Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, and Drake. I say this due to the substance he has to his artistry instead of being a regular aspiring rapper who has no actual raw talent behind their image. Just simply a brand to give. Martize professionalism as a rapper could be also influenced by his personal music inspirations who includes Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G, 2Pac, and Stevie Wonder. “The first album that made me want to pursue music was Jay-Z’s 'American Gangster' and from this day on I’ve been writing raps in a notebook full of math notes”. Tize's ability to storytell alongside the creation of vivid images he paints for us is surreal and takes you by storm. If there’s any adjective I can describe this rapper that can best exemplify what kind of prodigy we’re dealing with, it’s iconic. Make sure you give a listen to Martize's "500 Degrees" on Spotify! The themes are hope and love, and above all, and inspiration to anyone to never give up. BuzzMusic is proud to present a brand new single by Ann Smith called “Hold On”. Immediately the song grabs your attention with its airy quality, catchy beat and soothing vocals. Smith clearly understands her craft, as she’s cultivated a great pop song that we definitely recommend! Give a listen to Ann Smith's "Hold On" on Spotify, and don't miss out on this artists exclusive interview below! Hi Ann! Thanks for chatting with us. Would you mind describing your background and how you first got involved with music and songwriting? Hi! Thanks for inviting! My parents met and fall in love when they were taking part in some musical event for students, they both played and sang in the band. So, I would say that I was made with the power of music and love. Music was always a big part of our lives. But for my parents music was more like a hobby, and I’m trying to find another way. I have started songwriting about 5 years ago and found it really exciting. I try to improve my skills and make my music and lyrics more and more interesting and powerful. You work a lot with your husband. What is the dynamic like between you two? Do you ever find it tricky to balance work and married life, or has it always come naturally? Yes, my husband is my partner, my co-writer, my best friend and the only person I can be with 24/7. Sure, sometimes our emotions break the balance but we always try to use them as a push to create a new music. We are so different, and sometimes it’s hard to understand each other, cuz I like to concentrate more, to spend more time thinking about new idea and he likes to do everything quickly. Who would you say are your greatest musical influences? I like different music styles, but mostly I am inspired by pop, blues and r&b music. As a vocalist I was influenced by Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera. You have a new single out called “Hold On”. Is there a message behind the music in this case? 'Hold on' is a song about fighting for your dreams, no matter who your are or how old you are. It's about hope and love. This song is a way to inspire people like me not to give up. Time is flying and the planet is spinning, and we can't stop this. Our hearts are beating and we just keep on moving from one point to another even if it's hard. We can't let our problems tear us apart and take our dreams away. What can we hope to see from Ann Smith in the future? I’m working on some different projects right now. I want to create music depending on my feelings and current mood, so it’s hard to predict what’s next. It’s always some kind of battle inside of me. One part is dark and melancholic and another one always wants to have fun and do crazy things. I’m so happy that I can express myself in music. It helps both parts of my soul to feel appreciated and loved. Stay connected with Ann Smith via the artists Instagram! #BuzzMusic

  • Katiah One Is Livin The Dream With His Atmospheric Rap Style

Katiah One is an artist raised on the Upper West Side of New York City. He’s on a mission to change the common perception of the average rapper and draws his inspiration from many genres including R&B and Rock. His single titled “We Livin The Dream” produced by Deejay Element, highly intrigued me with its lyrical substance. Katiah One has a consistent flow that shows a great level of skill due to the breath control and transitional flows. The beat plays an important role in supporting the song’s aesthetic. It’s a lot more serious which complements the subjective lyricism. “We Livin The Dream” wouldn’t be what it is without this specific instrumental sound serving as the foundation and roots for the song to grow. “We Livin The Dream” shows elements of cloud rap due to its subdued lo-fi production and hazy aura. Although lacking ethereal vocal samples, Katiah One curates a melancholic and dreamy rap environment. This trill-wave based music Katiah One presents us moves in a linear direction alongside his raw, and uncut vocal delivery. It’s the perfect song to add to your playlist if you’re a big fan of rappers who actually crafts their skills into a unique style you’ve never seen before! Listen to “We Livin The Dream” here. • Young Hueston Releases A Stunning New Single “This Love”

Young Hueston is an artist who embodies the essence of emotion in his music. His soulful, nostalgic and simplistic approach is something you can’t help but love. All the way from South Florida, he’s a classic artist in a modern time. He released his single titled “This Love” and the minute you hear the first note you instantly feel something. “This Love” did more than touch me, it impacted my entire mood. The gorgeous record begins with a melodic piano introduction before Young Hueston strikes you with his captivating vocal tone that reminds me of an interesting fused mix of John Legend and Sam Smith. “This Love” draws you in with its highly heart-rendering conviction. The soul-stirring approach and passionate vocal delivery especially around the chorus creates an augmented and dramatic effect on your aura. The lyrics are beautiful as well. “I run far from this love”, the hook sings. This is the perfect break-up song to cry too, or to simply reflect on your current state of emotions. What I interpreted from listening to “This Love” is that it discusses the sinking relationship between two people. Person A is obviously in love with Person B however they feel as if Person B isn’t keeping it all the way real with them. Person A feels as if Person B is potentially hiding their true feelings and is acting a certain way which is causing Person A to overthink and becomes wrapped around in his negative thoughts and emotions, causing him to want to run away from the love. “This Love” is so poetically romantic and lyrically contextual that there could possibly be more than one meaning to the song. Nonetheless, Young Hueston gave us a beautiful ballad that showcases his strong soulful presence and theatrical ability to convey emotion. Young Hueston’s music shows vulnerability and art are tied together. It’s a treat to the ears and a gift to the soul. Listen to “This Love” here and get to know Young Hueston in our interview below! Where did the stage name “Young Hueston” come from? My grandmother’s maiden name was Young and my last name is Hueston. I was very close to my grandmother before she died. So I wrote it down and really liked the way it felt. Like my music, when something feels good I go with it. What inspired you to write “This Love”? From your artist standpoint, what’s the song about? “This love” is about a toxic relationship and codependency. It sheds light on how your mind can trick you into thinking something really unhealthy is actually love. Have you had a chance to create a music video to this single yet? If not are you planning on it? No I haven’t yet. Definitely something I want to do. This is the first song I’ve released, and I definitely want to put out more music before I create any videos. What emotion were you aiming for your listeners to feel while listening to “This Love"? I want them to feel like they can relate. The great thing about music and art is that it’s abstract in the way it hits you, and open to interpretation. What's next for you? I’m releasing a new song April 16th called “Tidal Wave” and lots more to follow in 2019, so stay tuned. Connect with Young Hueston on social media: Instagram Twitter

  • Artist On The Rise: LA's $AMURAI With Latest “On Top”

$AMURAI (born Edwund Flowers) is a 20 year old up and coming rapper from the suburbs of sunny Los Angeles, California. A self-described “black sheep” of the rap genre due to his unique and individual swagger, he calls himself $AMURAI as a way to metaphorically represent his warrior mindset. From the tender age of 7, $AMURAI knew that music was his destiny. His father was a music producer, and $AMURAI grew up watching his brothers record songs and raps. At the age of 9, he wrote his first ever rap, and he has loved the stage since he was part of his middle school choir. $AMURAI began to take music more seriously in high school, but at that time he was more of a singer than a rapper. Puberty was a rough patch for him, as he struggled with his singing voice which caused his peers to sneer at his dreams. However, never one to give up, after graduating high school $AMURAI took auditions for the likes of The Voice, American Idol and America’s Got Talent. After a short time rapping around the house, he realized that the rap game was more up his alley, and he released his first single on SoundCloud called “On My Wrist”. After a great deal of positive feedback, Edwund Flowers fully transitioned to the artist known as $AMURAI. He hopes to be the next big thing in the rap game, with his aggressive flow, hard hitting beats and authentic style. We just took a listen to $AMURAI's new single called “On Top” and it's straight FIRE. The song begins with a sword being unsheathed, a homage to $AMURAI’s warrior mindset. The beat is well written and complex, and the vocals are immediately catching. The verses are delivered with punch, intensity and an incredible attitude. The song oscillates between rapid verses and more spaced out chorus, making this song a constant battle between peaks and valleys. Inspirational quotes about greed and discontent are peppered throughout the single, providing another insightful dimension to the lyrics. $AMURAI’s single “On Top” is a great offering from a young rising star, and we can’t wait to see what's next. • Renata Vontobel Steals Our Hearts With Latest Release "Stellar"

Renata Vontobel, a 20 year old singer and songwriter from Porto Alegre, Brazil, grew up in a musical family and her uncle was an essential inspiration for her to pursue a career in music. She began writing her own music at a young age and had released an EP by the age of 13. In 2017, Vontobel moved to Los Angeles, California to begin a new chapter of her life in the USA. She has performed at venues such as The Whisky A Go Go, Pig N’ Whistle, State Social House and Bar 20 to name a few. Currently, she is in the acoustic pop group called “Simple Exchange”. Renata Vontobel recently released a new single called “Stellar”. This single is quite a pleasant ballad to listen to. If I had to guess, I would guess that this young woman of 20 is actually a fair bit older; the maturity of the songwriting is striking. The song makes use of conventional rock instruments, such as drums, guitars, and a percussive piano that is pervasive throughout the song, giving the overall vibe that of traditional pop/rock music from decades past. The chorus has a great hook and is instantly memorable. The middle of the song is nicely broken up by a bridge that builds until the final soaring chorus enters in such a gratifying way. Her lyrics are passionate and delivered with confidence and sincerity. With “Stellar” as her latest single, we are excited to see what else this young artist is capable of! Bravo, Renata! Listen to "Stellar" here and get to know Renata Vontobel in our interview below! Growing up in Brazil, what was the music scene like there? Did you see live shows a lot, or was it mostly your uncle that got you into music? I never listened much to Brazilian music, but I was very influenced by Brazilian rock, which is not popular there anymore, and that was the genre my uncle’s band used to play. Growing up I didn’t used to go to shows, as very few acts would play in my city, so my main influences would be from what I watched on TV and listened on the radio. You have a new single out called “Stellar”. Did you have a specific intention or meaning behind the music? Yes, this song was written about a long distance relationship I had. I used some words like “universe”, “space” and “among the stars” to represent how far apart we were from each other, but in our hearts we would always be together. Who would you say are your biggest artistic influences? I grew up in the 2000’s when music was very pop/rock, putting together the sweetness of pop with the edginess of rock. So my biggest influences are Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Avril Lavigne and Skye Sweetnam. Would you mind briefly walking us through your writing process? The instrumentation of this song was written by my uncle, Michel Vontobel, and he sent it to me with the idea of writing a love song with a “space” theme. So with this idea in mind I decided to dedicate it and write the lyrics about this long distance relationship I had. What can we hope to see from you in the future, Renata? I am planning on releasing a new EP in the second semester of the year. The new songs I’m working on are very rock oriented and influenced a lot by 80’s and 2000’s pop. What was the motivation behind writing your single “Here 4 the good times”? That song was inspired by real life problems such as social anxiety and depression. I dealt with it daily so I made this song as a way to relax and empower myself. It’s a upbeat happy song so I just want others who deal with the same problem to know that there is a way to overcome it. I wanted to make a song that anyone can listen and relate to; no matter your race, sexual preference, age, religion, you can feel this. If you can personally describe your own artistic music style in 3 adjectives how would you describe it and why? • T-Heights Comes Out With Upbeat Single "Junky"

T-Heights is a Miami born and bred recording artist whose currently living in Brooklyn New York. He began making music around 16 years old, simply creating beats. Sixteen years later, T-Heights is getting ready to release his second commercial hit and 7th full length project. The first single off that album is called "Junky" and it's an uptempo hip hop song. T-Heights written, produced, and recorded this single, showing the world that he’s a jack of all trades! "Junky" reminds me a lot like the popular hip-hop songs back in the 07-10 era when the rappers would curate trendy dances within the music that became an undeniable wave. If you think of songs like “You’re a Jerk” by New Boyz or “Cat daddy” by The Rej3cts, or even the classic “Souljia boy tellem” by Soulja Boy you will understand the plethora of fun rap I’m categorizing “Junky” in. “I wanna see if you can do that junky walk” is the first lyric I heard and I instantly began to create my own “junky walk” best fitting for my dance style and that’s the super cool effect of the song! That small portion in the beginning will encourage others to fabricate their own dance for the song, which in my opinion will skyrocket the single into a hit. The exciting and frenetic record shows charismatic lyrics with an autotune delivery. “Junky” is vibrant, and colorful as well as a pure reflective embodiment of the fun in music. T-Heights not only was able to demonstrate an outgoing persona through his release, but he gave you catchy bars, and an effortless flow to show us that regardless of how fun he can get with his music, he’s still an talented artist who deserves all the recognition and respect he shall receive! "Junky" is available now to stream on Spotify. Keep scrolling for T-Heights personalized interview! With 7 albums under your belt, which has been your personal favorite project you’ve done thus far and why? I'd have to say the one I'm getting ready to release in a month ("Trapped"). And that's because it has taken me to a place lyrically that I've never been before. It has allowed me to uncover parts of myself that were only subconscious or things that I thought about privately. Now, I get to share it with the world. Mind telling us a little bit about your most recent album and what fans can expect? So my most recent album is called "Trapped" and it's about how so many people and streaming services are trapped in this sub genre of trap music and everything that comes with it (clothes, jewelry, girls, money, drugs, violence). It was my intention to both sonically and lyrically go where so many trap artists and fans are right now and talk about all of those things. "Junky" is a quirky and fun record! Have you thought of creating a video visual to it? I have! But I want to gain some traction with the record first. What’s the lyrical meaning behind "Junky"? Junky has the same meaning as the word Junkie. I just spelled it different to appeal to people's sensibilities. In this case, it's about a guy who, pursues and hooks up with a woman. Her love is like a drug, and he's a junky. Any exciting upcoming performances? What can we expect next from you T-Heights? The only thing I have right now is a competition at leadership conference in mid-April. You can expect my second single "T.B.H." to drop on April 5th and the album to drop some time soon after that. Keep up to date on recent releases and upcoming shows with T-Heights via the artists socials: Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic

  • GR3YWXLF Releases 4AM

Waxing woke lyricism with his wise super-villain approach, the enigmatic lo-fi nomad isn't what you would come to expect from the traditional UK soundscape. The intricate artist who goes by the name of GR3YWXLF, creatively interweaves pop culture references alongside life survival narration. He blends a style of old and new hip-hop and it’s apparent in the release of his single titled “4AM”. "4am" has the hypnagogic pop elements alongside a fused together indie rock sound to curate the lo-fi hip//hop track that relaxes us and brings comfort into your body. While listening to "4am" you’re able to sit back, close your eyes, and just become hypnotized by the peaceful rap. His lyrics are hard-hitting with a deep contextual meaning behind it. He doesn’t do too much and matches the entire aesthetic of the instrumental by controlling the dynamics in his delivery. I was a big fan of his poetic lyricism and prolific songwriting. If you stripped away the vocals and lyrics and just listened to the instrumental you would think it’s impossible for a rapper to execute the beat since it’s so quiet and subdued, however GR3YWXLF goes against the grain and proves he can transfer this jazzy beat into a hip-hop hit! GR3YWXLF both naturally and comfortably sits just outside of the standard assumptions held regarding the London scene he hails from. "4am" is now available to stream on Spotify, and don't forget to check out the artists personally curated interview below! How would you describe the music scene in UK? The scene in the UK is an interesting and vibrant one, I feel like there is so much talent here hidden within so many different genres. We’ve got some real fantastic artists this side of the pond doing remarkable things so it’s a great place to be a creative. Especially when you look at London, because of course I have to specifically shout out my city. Do you have any influences that you think helped create your intricate sound and style? Oh yeah most definitely. I’m guilty of enjoying a wide range of music, so I’d say I’ve got quite a few influences and could give you a pretty long list. Especially because I grew up on a diet of not only HipHop but Gospel, Grime and Reggae. But, to throw a few names in-  Akala, Kano, Andre 3000, MF Doom, Kendrick Lamar and old Kanye before the sunken place. Tell us about “‪4AM‬” and what inspired you to write this? Haha whisky. Whisky inspired this. That and a definitive internal conversation I had with myself late one night. In part it’s like an outline of my motivations and the reasons for any decisions made moving forward. Which should be relatable for anyone who can understand staring at their reflection in the mirror and psyching themselves up unapologetically. Do you ever take note of your environment when songwriting? Most definitely. I try to ground myself and whatever I’m writing about within the moment. For me going with an initial feeling in the right atmosphere can snowball great ideas. So taking note of the environment around me is useful. That isn’t to say that it makes the writing any easier though, but it’s a starting point. Was there any moments in “‪4AM‬” that you personally love? Good question. I actually enjoy the end, specifically the last 8 bars. Mostly because it was a freestyle, drink swishing in hand (which I’m ultimately a little proud of), but it also summarises the standpoint on everything moving forward. Either you are with me for this ride or not, take it or leave it. I’m gonna laugh about it either way.
