- Shy Vincent Gives Us "In Touch"
Shy Vincent is an up and coming UK singer- songwriter. His musical journey began two years ago when he began to transfer his thoughts from the pad to the mic, the feeling of watching a vision unfold whilst beginning to grasp the concept of what makes an honest track was deliciously satisfying to him. Shy Vincent released his single titled “In Touch” and by the first note I can already tell that Shy Vincent is about to become a timeless hit whom would be remembered for his smooth-sailing vocals and suave resonance. Shy Vincent gave his single “In Touch” this funky and groovy soulful flare that matches his airy yet full toned vocal quality. Think of smooth singers like Robin Thicke, Maxwell, and Michael Jackson with beats similar to artists like Bruno Mars and Childish Gambino’s “Redbone”. That’s the curated production of “In Touch” however, “In Touch” still has its own unique style individualistic from its comparisons which makes it an individual hit record! If you intune yourself in with the record you hear many different instruments one of the most noticeable for me was the grimy bass guitar. The bass guitar served as the base for the entire record and created that whole soul-esque persona for the single. I can tell Shy Vincent incorporated the styles of his influences which includes Mario and Ne-yo. "In Touch" is the closest vibe to where he currently feels he is vibrating. As a combination of smooth and sensual synths collide with insatiable head bopping beats and sharp lyrical delight we are left with a RnB/pop fusion that is hard to resist. Be sure to check out Shy Vincent's "In Touch" on Spotify. Scroll down to find the artist's personalized interview! How has it been growing up in the UK for you Shy? How did growing up in the UK influence your music career? Growing up for me in the UK for me was definitely somewhat a bit of a rollercoaster. I have always been someone who is very expressive in a multitude of ways. I grew up in a town where it was fairly hard for me to find people who thought in a similar way. Where as a lot of the kids were quite happy to hang around, smoke and drink I was always wanting to explore, find new things and have new experiences. Music was always an amazing outlet for me. I used to be obsessed with Hip Hop culture whether it be the Music Videos, the dancing, the word play. Being in touch with with American Urban Music culture was always something that excited me. Finding new tunes to burn onto a CD and listen to on my walkman whilst working on music video choreography in my head was a perfect evening indoors for me! I would always write and freestyle in front of my friend but taking the plunge to make it a career wasn't something that happened until about 2 years ago. I sometimes wish I had started younger but I definitely feel that from a slightly more mature perspective it's easier for me to understand what is required at that time in the industry from both a creative and business perspective. Knowing some of your personal favorites are artists like Mario, Ne-yo, and Keri Hilson, what are some of your personal favorite songs by them? Damn, so many. Okay so Mario 'Kryptonite' for me is a staple song for my life- maybe not in the way the song is directly referring, but resisting temptation for myself and so many can be so tough at times. I also think resisting and procrastinating are cousins, two states at two ends of the same spectrum, the song resonates with me and sounds so damn good. Also 'Music for Love' because it's so damn sexy and I love the love in all of its many forms. Ne-Yo is just absolute nostalgia for me, but my favourite song from him has to be 'When you're mad' simply because it never fails to take me back to a time where things were simper. Or I considered things to be simpler. Ironically he released a song on his 2018 album 'GOOD MAN' called '1 More Shot' which uses the same beat as my 2016 track 'My Feelings' which you can listen to on my SoundCloud (gotta love a shameless plug). As for Keri I don't know where she is but I want her back. Dare I say need.. She is an impeccable songwriter. One of my all time faves from her is 'Energy'. As an empath I can relate entirely to everything this song depicts. Beautifully written, catchy and she is one beautiful human. What was the most challenging aspect for “In Touch” for you? It had to be the recording of the track, I tried to record it in the summer and I had such hay fever it just wouldn't sound how I wanted it to. I also wasn't in an amazing place creatively however. I have a trait of over analysing everything which is my most powerful/ destructive tool. I let it go but something was telling me this song was the start of something beautiful and I still really believe that. I managed to get the vocals sounding how I intended around a month or so ago, I really feel like with this track embodies something that just sounds magical for me. I don't know what it is about the track but it really feel it reflects a part of my spirit and I love that. Did you have lots of fun shooting the video? What was your ultimate vision for your music video? The Video kind of happened off the whim. It's really simple and I like that it is but you can definitely expect my next projects to be a lot more theatrical and creative (but with the same aspect). I also want to explore my dancing as I am quite the mover. Do you have anything upcoming you'd like to share with us? I don't have a date as of yet but you can definitely expect a summer time EP and I am going to make sure it's sounding as sexy as it can! - Liam Cyr Released His Canorous And Melodic Single “Wychwood”
Liam Cyr is here with a delicate and gentle melody. The song called “Wychwood”, ready to serenade and give you a tune to remember. Liam Cyr is a solo artist based out of Toronto, ON. Originally born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he embraces his passion for folk music and storytelling, implementing his own experiences into his lyrics. “Wychwood” has the vulnerability appeal but its authentic lyrics is what makes the song so much more beautiful. You know when you hear specific songs that instantly makes you sad and gets you immediately in the mood to just let out emotions and reflect on any past hurt? That’s the vibe I received from listening to "Wychwood". However, the song could go either way and serve as a delightful purpose for you. That’s the whole beauty behind the record is its way to comfort you in any way most fitting for you. You will find relaxation in the warm melody and passionate vocal delivery. You feel at home and a nonstop commiseration aura. If you have a playlist of music that consists of artists such as James Taylor, Paul Mccartney, and Ben Howard then you might want to include Liam Cyr into that collective. He tailor his own music with honesty, poignant thoughts, and weaves colorful production around a finger picked acoustic guitar. “Wychwood” is the perfect example of this--a great track to add to your Spotify playlist. Catch Liam Cyr's exclusive interview below and read what the artist has to say about his take on "Wychlood", and what we can expect from him in the time to come! Hi Liam, can you tell our readers about yourself and how you started your career in music? My name is Liam Cyr, I'm a singer-songwriter born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, now living in Toronto, Ontario. Growing up, my parents always made a point of playing different varieties of music in my home at all times. I fell in love with music and became passionate about the stories behind each song. A few of my favourite recording artists include: James Taylor, The Beatles, Ben Howard, John Mayer, Fleetwood Mac, and Bon Iver. My dad began to teach me how to play drums when I was 3 years old, then I taught myself how to play guitar when I was 11, and I began writing songs when I was 16. I played in multiple bands over the years until starting my solo career in 2019. Where do you find most inspiration for your songwriting? I find inspiration from the people I meet and the events that unfold before me. Everybody has a story and every story has depth worth exploring, often layered with a wide range of emotions. I choose to write about what happens in my own life, whether it's about feeling inspired after a conversation with a close friend or stranger, or simply reflecting on past experiences, some of which I may not have moved on from, or completely understand. “Wychwood” seems to show significant amount of vulnerability, how did this song get created? Wychwood was written on my walk home from a night out at a bar after seeing my friend's band perform live. I had been going through a hard time, and was living with a large amount of inner turmoil. It has always been easier for me to address any issues I may be having by writing them down and reading them back. That's what Wychwood is, a journal entry. The name of the song is simply the neighborhood I was walking through as I collected my thoughts that night. How would you describe your personal musical style? My personal musical style is a combination of classic folk and soft rock, with elements of modern day electronic sound design. As a child, my parents played music from many different genres, which inspired me to weave new elements into my own songs and productions. What moment in “Wychwood” do you believe has the most impact? I believe the chorus in Wychwood has the most impact. It is as honest as I could be with myself, and I feel that other people can relate to the feeling of spiraling out of control and simply wanting to be held by those they love most, whether they're still alive or have moved on. In the end, everybody wants to know that they are loved. Do you have a favorite lyric in "Wychwood"? Personally, my favorite lyric in Wychwood is: "Say Goodbye is what I heard as I stumbled home, reminded me of you." Say Goodbye is a song written by Fleetwood Mac that I was listening to as I walked through the neighborhood on the evening that I reflected on past and current events. I had been listening to that song on repeat for a couple of days trying to understand how somebody could be so honest with their lyrics, and not be afraid to share them. That composition was a big turning point in my songwriting career, opening my eyes to the benefits of honesty, and releasing the fear of sharing my deep rooted emotions. We are all human after all. What can we expect from you in the near future? I have four singles being released over the next two months, as well as an EP being released in late summer. - Multifaceted And Rising Icon Alya Releases Mystic And Magnetic Album
Performer, artist, and multi-linguistic, Alya's music has been defined by critics as electronic, indie rock, pop, and more as it has begun to pick up the steam due to her addicting and captivating presence. but the truth lies somewhere undefinable between it al., She is an adept innovator of sound, songwriting and performing music that feel like a cinematic blend of styles and influences. This, in itself, serves her eclectic background. Born in Russia, Alya Michelson is now based in Los Angeles, where she has defined her largely experimental sound from her wide-ranging travelogue, being a classically-trained singer and ballet dancer. Alya released the most enticing and enthralling album called “Ten Years Solitude” beginning with her cinematic, dark, yet sensual record “Animals”. “Animals” instantly captured me by the eerie vocals and the mystic energy that you feel while listening. I knew at this instant, Alya will leave moments of shock and unexpected transitions. “Animals” served as a great opening for the project because it catches your attention and now you’re ready for what’s next. And what’s next is the cultural and completely sensational single “Seven”. "Seven" begins with a melody that keeps you afloat and carries you throughout this intricate record. It’s so dream-like you seem to fall in love with how Alya has already abducted you into her music. The hook completely adding that ethereal and hazy effect by her idiosyncratic falsetto vocals. The next song, “Half of the Sun” was more of a fiery yet still atmospheric hit. It felt like you were in war due to the super dope sound effects. It was actually one of the most unique songs I’ve ever heard due to the theatrical instrumental. It added a huge dramatic effect to the song that I ended up completely absorbing and loving. Next, “Heart Shaped Hole” is a complete shift in the tempo and energy. Way more subtle and way more unshielded. It felt more vulnerable than the other singles yet she still kept her metaphorically and poetic lyrical inversion intact. The next single “Puppet Strings” added a more haunting rock aesthetic to the album which in my opinion broadens and widens her diversity on the project. I believe this song could potentially hold more of a deeper aspect behind the lyrics that could really enhance the whole idea of Alya being a detailed songwriter. “Twenty Six” has a fast-paced, electric, and computerized type of rock introduction before Alya’s tangible voice continues to reel you in. after listening to this speedy single, Alya slows everything down with her record “Angel”. “Angel” focused more on her aerial vocal aesthetic and the sensation from the hook and riveting piano melody. If you ever seen a movie you know they reach multiple different scenes and moments ranging from happy to sad, and the music matches the specific scene. That’s exactly what Alya does for us. She creates multiple different scenes throughout the album and “Hachiko” would be the more subtle and melancholic yet delighted prominence in the album. After Alya brings charming melodies and yields us with different ambience, she gives us “Romano”. “Romano” has a unique introduction, but by this point, almost every song on this album has had a singular characterized introduction that’s specific to the song. Alya still delivers with the multiple transitions in Romano that weaves the lines between sad and aggressive. I like how you can hear the fire and passion in the delivery of “Romano”. One of my personal favorites forsure! The closing song on the album, “Colorful Dreams” was such a nice touch to the entire collective. (besides the opening record, Animals.. This is my favorite off the entire album!) It begins with smooth and sensual sailing vocals on a jazzlike piano chord before it raptures and she gives you the specialized sound effects to create a multifaceted record. Alya style is something I’ve never seen before and it’s why I had the most pleasure listening to each and every song off her album. She can surely say, “you can’t compare me to anybody else” because you genuinely cannot make such a comparison when her artistry is so personalized to her. With incorporation of pop, trap, rock, and jazz. Alya fuses it all together with her kick ass cinematic aura, creating the most intriguing album up to date! Explore and add some of Alya's diverse sense of music to your Spotify playlist. Check below for Alya's vision of "Ten Years Solitude", her journey from Russia to Los Angeles, and her take on the style she has created for herself as an artist! Hey Alya, how was the sudden change in scenery when you moved from Russia to Los Angeles. Any location you specifically prefer? Moscow and Los Angeles are so dramatically different that it is almost impossible to compare. That is why, probably, my transition from journalism to artist was pretty organic. I took " the road less travelled by”. Today I call Los Angeles home, my family is here and there is no better place for me. You incorporate a lot of cinematic sound fx in your music, are you a big fan of the theatrical? I even had a funny name for my style "cinema music”. I do believe in dimentional art and personally prefer it. When you try to engage as many senses you can, music just taste better. When I work on the song I am simutaniously thinking about the image, picture that will shine onto another meaning, how it may smell, what color the sound is. I am thinking about the performance and the visual story. All these elements are blended together for me. How would you personally describe your music style? Artistic fusion or musical expressionism. Future mainstream. Your album “Ten Years Solitude” was amazing. Are the songs purposely in this chronological order? Or were they at random? Ten Years of Solitude is a concept album. It is my personal story about becoming an artist. It has ten chapters that equals ten years of my life when I was creating/dreaming/working on my musical dream. Each song represent a year - symbolically, sonically. Songs are in chronological order, but since they are so complete, you may listen them randomly - each and every one of them is a tale. I am currently on the planet Heart Shaped Hole. This is my state of mind - pure bliss and happiness. BTW , official video for the song got almost 3M views on YouTube. What can our readers expect from listening to “Ten Years Solitude”? My debut album has a very important message - believe in yourself, work hard, love yourself and never give up. I hope it will inspire your readers and listeners to believe in their personal luck and uniqueness. Keep up to date with Alya's new song releases, and stay connected with the artist through Youtube. #BuzzMusic
- Digital Gringo’s Impactful Record Weaves Between Rock And Rap!
Digital Gringo released his single titled “Project Mayhem” and he fused together a unique combination of rock music and rap. He has his own unique style that’s special to him, and distinguishable for his artistry. “Project Mayhem” was an interesting record to me. If you listened closely to the lyrics, past his aggressive flow and bold image, you can see how deep the substance truly is. It takes a certain amount of intelligence in my opinion to be able to decipher the meaning behind this lyrical and poetic word play. His skills as a songwriter really popped because not many rappers can really have the message hidden behind a decodable verse. It seemed as if Digital Gringo incorporated lots of environmental influences and social problems in the world, into his rap, artistically expressing his thoughts with a banging beat and an impeccable flow. Digital Gringo delivered us witty bars and stuck to his specific style without attempting to be like anybody else. “Project Mayhem” authenticity and edgy flavor, makes this record a hit like no other and I believe people will be engrossed by the underlying message in the lyrics and the captivating rap flow, credible to Digital Gringo. Don't miss out on Digital Gringo's edgy single "Project Mayhem". Scroll down to get to know Digital Gringo through his personalized interview! What’s up Digital Gringo! Mind telling us a little bit about your stage name and what inspired you to call yourself that? Howdy, so my name Digital Gringo was bestowed upon me by my dad Slap Master Phunk. He is also the the tattoo artist in my first music video "Maximum Carnage". The way name came about was I started recording rap songs but didn't have a name to release them under yet, and after some backlash of releasing them under my old punk band Closet Nerd; I knew I had to separate my new music from my old. How would you personally describe your music style? My musical style walks the line of goofy and not giving a fuck to sincere opinions. My problem with a lot of musicians is they take themselves to seriously, I like being able to say what I want when I want, I do not filter myself for anybody. What inspired you to write your record “Project Mayhem”? What inspired the album is freedom, for the past few years I felt tied down by my punk band and I didn't feel like I could deviate from the formula, and I was never a vocalist so being the voice of my music gave me a lot to say. The album I feel is very bipolar because it has fun songs and dark songs with no in-between. What’s the meaning behind “Project Mayhem” ? The meaning behind Project Mayhem is simple. Don't live for materialism. I feel like my generation is driven by materialism, by consumership and by greed. Everybody myself included needs to take a step back and look inward and decide if what drives us is good or bad for the soul. I'm not trying to preach or condemn with the issues I address, I just want everyone to open their eyes and see we are essentially fucking ourselves and the earth. What specific genre of music you listen to the most? I listen to hard punk like Leftover Crack, rap like Aesop Rock, classic rock like AC/DC and then a lot of random stuff. My favorite song of all time is Semi Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind. Keep up to date with Digital Gringo through social media: Facebook Instagram #BuzzMusic
- Release Radar: Fergus Hambleton's Latest "This Is My Song"
Fergus Hambleton released his mellifluous single titled “This Is My Song” with attractive melodies from both his vocals and the instrumental aspect. Speaking on his capturing voice, Fergus has a solidified tone that weaves the lines between a deep chest voice but can transport itself up into a higher register where he can showcase more high pitched vocals and belts at specific and most appropriate moments in the song. Fergus Hambleton's voice also has this sense of warmth and comfort where you feel pretty much relaxed while listening. The instrumental has a slow to medium pace tempo with a consistent acoustic jingle and a nice bass guitar chord. I discovered slight undertones of reggae in "This Is My Song" which made this pretty unique for me. The lyrics kind of touches base on the fact that Fergus is pretty much serenading us. I like how the lyrics feel as if he’s dedicating the record to us as listeners. It makes you feel much more connected with the music and artist when you feel like they’re attempting to create chemistry between you and them although you have never met the artist before. It’s the special trait behind music not many artists can accomplish and Fergus accomplished it perfectly. Bravo Fergus Hambleton! Listen to "This Is My Song" here. - Spreading The Love With Taylor Pace With Intimate New Song "Sweetest Memories"
As a second-generation musician, Taylor Pace began his musical journey through singing in the church and around his house. As time eventually progressed, Taylor Paces' music reflects the diverse musical influences ranging from Michael Jackson to Coldplay and from Prince to John Legend. He incorporated all his musical influences and shaped his own style that’s best suitable for him. This dynamic skill set has helped him become one of industry’s explosive and rising stars. If you check out the release of his single “Sweetest Memories” you will see how Taylor Pace is able to channel in various emotions but more significantly, vulnerability. His way to deliver a gentle and delicate bop that’s perfect for all you hopeless romantics is a great way to finish off the valentine season. “The first time I saw you you put a smile on my face” Taylor sings in the video towards his significant other. What’s so special about the video is the raw chemistry between both the vocalist and his lover. He’s basically serenading her in an empty venue, while on stage and she sit in the audience. She seems to be genuinely on cloud nine, enjoying the melody but enticed by the delighted lyrics that he metaphorically looked as if he dedicated to her. The lyrics are a representation on how we can listen to this record and mentally reflect on our current love life but more specifically someone who makes a great impact on our emotions. It’s the most appropriate song to dedicate to a loved one due to the lyricism that touches base on companionship. Alongside the romantic video with the passionate lyrics, “Sweetest Memories” is the perfect song to share with a loved one during this closing valentines month or anytime really! - Fever Joy Brings A Vibe With “R.Y.W.B.”
With their second single, “R.Y.W.B.”, Fever Joy is standing at the gate of pop-rock excellence, ready to bang it down. It follows hot on the heels of their debut single “Shots,” which was produced by Adam Castilla of The Colourist and mastered by Joe LaPorta (Imagine Dragons, The Weeknd). There is some truth to that line of thinking, considering the band was rounded out when Robitaille hit up an open mic in the O.C., down in SoCal. That’s where Sean Baker and Kevin Holm were recruited. There does seem to be a decent amount of meet to the lyrics, where she describes “walking between the lines,” for example. And the music itself is pretty forward, with just a touch of crunch to the guitars! The drums oscillate between organic and programmed-sounding. If you mixed Florence Welch of Florence and The Machine, Hayley Williams of Paramore and Lyndsey Gunnulfsen of PVRIS, you get Fever Joy's new single “R.Y.W.B.”. The beauty of this music is that it doesn’t sound too contrived while still ticking a lot of boxes. It could be hipster indie music, it could be alt-rock radio music and it could even be considered pop music. And it sounds like this is who they want to be. This is a song to jam out to, a song you want to hear over the speakers in the coffee shop and a tune you want on your playlist! Bravo Fever Joy! Listen to “R.Y.W.B.,” here and get to know a bit more about Fever Joy below! You can also catch Fever Joy live at SXSW March 13-16th! I’ve been driving by the Whiskey a Go Go in Hollywood almost every day, sometimes noticing the frenetic crowd swarming outside at night. What was it like playing there? It was crazy. It was our first show and it’s such a legendary venue. Many of our idols have played there. Sean’s obsessed with classic rock and so being the same green room Jim Morrison (and so many others) were in was pretty surreal. In the end, we got such a positive and engaging reaction which was encouraging and affirming to the fact that people are liking what we are doing. It seems like you have a solid strategy for how you will cut through the noise of the rock industry… what is it? So far it’s primarily been about making good music and building a solid team. Our manager has been a musician, and also works in branding/marketing which has helped a lot. He can have an objective voice and eye which sees and hears things we don’t always catch. Making plans and working really fucking hard is the other part. We plan out our goals for the year and do everything in our power to see them happen. What do you feel you guys have in common? Music, haha. That’s what attracted us to each other in the first place. Our sense of humors mix really well too. That’s like the two best things a friendship can have in our opinions. The same taste in music and humor. We’re all best friends now and have each other’s backs through all the shit we go through. How do the songs go from an idea to reality… what’s the process? It’s really collaborative. We’ll discuss what the feeling is going to be first. Kevin typically has all the chords in his head, and maps out the structure. Sean adds in the drum beat and I carry around my journal around wherever I go; writing throughout the day and bringing my ideas to the guys. They’ll usually help me formulate that into lyrics. Would you say you’re more about having a message or more about just rocking out? It’s about the message first, but also fully, and passionately rocking out while giving the message to others. We want to put our feelings to music and trying to create a space where people can understand and connect to what we are saying. We want others to know that we feel their happiness and feel their pain too. I think that makes us all relate to each other on a different level. - Caleb & Walshy Release Soul Touching Debut Project ‘Terminal 27’
Caleb & Walshy have potentially just dropped the most heart felt, soul touching and somewhat nostalgic project of the year… and its only March. Floating around subtly on the scene for almost a couple years now, the London & Dublin duo have taken their sweet time piecing this project together and it’s worth the wait. From the get go, ‘Intro’ displays an absolute taste of what’s to come from the project: a beat oozing with soul fuelled samples and almost effortless poetry with utmost honesty, providing the listener a true glimpse into a troubled yet peace seeking mind. The lyrical vulnerability is to behold. Whether it’s the mellow ’Terminal 27’, the energetic ’A Girl Named Sandy’ or the mystical ‘Hold That Thought, Forever’, expect to connect emotionally multiple times. Although dripping in samples, Walshy's multi instrumental production can be identified multiple times throughout, especially in the finale ’That Won’t Change My Mind’ where the two open up about contemporary battles within. Live guitar, bass and keys proves the vibrant potential which immerses out the two, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. Stream ’Terminal 27’ on all platforms now. - LoveGhost Leaves You Addicted With New Single Mr. Blue
We always love a great progressive rock hit that knows how to deliver stunning guitar riffs and electrifying vocals. Love Ghost comes through with a hit record, “Mr. Blue”. “I say the world is tainted” , the band sings. I interpreted that this record has a deep lyrical connotation hidden behind the intricate melody and ear piercing pitch you can’t help but to love! I also enjoyed how Love Ghost incorporated other styles of music into one solidified rock record. The incorporation of orchestral instruments such as the Violin was a nice and atypical way to deliver a rock hit! The hook was catchy and addicting, “I am Mr. Blue”. By the second hearing of the hook, I was already singing along Love Ghost and jamming out to the melodic projection from the vocalist. I can hear this song being played daily on local radio stations, in your favorite skater retail outlets, or even simply around the house! It’s such an appealing single where you can place yourself in any setting or environment and as soon as “Mr Blue” plays you become immensely captured inside the music and everything it has to offer. Just like Love Ghost other release “9mm”, “Mr. Blue” is a magnetic force you can’t help but become attached to! Listen to "Mr. Blue" here and get to know Love Ghost below! Hey LoveGhost, mind telling us a little bit about how your band formed? Finn and Mya are the original members, they have been together for 4 years. Ryan has been in the band for 2 and a half years, and Samson has been in for almost a year. So, this line up was formed jaggedly, but we love playing music with each other and it's a great experience. How did you choose "Love Ghost" as your band name? At that time the two subjects I thought the most about were love and death- and I wanted the band to be "Love Death" but everyone thought that was stupid. So instead, we became "Love Ghost" How was your tour in Ireland? What are a few highlights of the tour? Excited to tour Japan? Ireland is a beautiful country, as a band we had our ups and downs whilst adjusting to our first tour. Overall, it was a great experience. Some highlights from the tour were playing to a couple hundred people in Cork and them being extremely receptive to our music. The band all got tattoos together (except for Ryan, because he's 17) in Belfast and that was really fun. We all plan on getting tattoos for our next tour in Japan, as well! We are beyond excited to be touring in Japan. Congrats on the release of "Mr. Blue"! What is the meaning behind the single? Mr blue is actually about depression, and I actually wrote it on a really dark day, a really dark period. I was feeling suicidal at that time. The contrasting funk melody of the song battles the torturing thoughts I was having. Favorite lyric line from "Mr. Blue"? "I say the world is tainted, I bid you all adieu, I am Mr. Blue." What's next for Love Ghost throughout 2019? We are going to Japan in less than two weeks, in April we are going to Ecuador and playing a music festival there. We are in the midst of recording with the legendary producer Danny Saber, and we can't wait to share those songs with you! - E Coop Releases “Hellfire”
E Coop, an 23 year old Milwaukee rapper who released his single titled “HellFire” has this tasteful rap style non conforming to the current wave of rappers while still maintaining a trendy image and sound that could possibly skyrocket him to the top if he makes all the right moves and networks! “Hellfire” has quick-witted and ingenious lyrics driven by a skilled flow and distinguishable rap voice. What’s interesting to this single is how the beat wasn’t so extravagant. If you heard the beat alone, you would think the song could possibly end up boring. However, E Coop turned an almost dull beat and spiced it up and brought lots of personality to it, making the song a characterized hit. My favorite moment in this song was the entire transition around 2:30 (on the Youtube timer). He completely switched his flow, the beat, and the style of the song and it was the most replenishing sound to hear. It showed me how versatile E Coop is and how he has the capability of entertaining others, and not giving too much without giving too little. E Coop has the full package and we’re excited to see where else he goes from here. Listen to "Hellfire" here, and learn more about E Coop in our interview below! Hey E Coop! tell us a little bit about your rap style and why you decide to pursue music? My rap style has a lot to do with growing up listening to 90’s gangsta rap around my dad. My raps come from my life experiences & its always been a way for me to express myself. How supportive has your peers and environment been for you? I get a lot of support my from peers when they hear my music. They think my shit hard! Has growing up in Milwaukee impact your music in any way? If so how? Growing up in Milwaukee impacted my music in many ways. I only rap about what I seen growing up here and tryna make it out. What’s your artist perspective behind your single “Hellfire” ? When I was making Hellfire I was at a point in my life where I just wanted some money & ain’t care about nothing else. Why did you decide to name the song “Hellfire” It really just mean gunfire, Hellfire sound better for a song though. What's next for you through 2019? For 2019, I’m dropping new music all year through Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tidal, etc. Stay tuned. Connect with E Coop: Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic
