- Jerome Obholz Takes Us Through An Emotional Moment With "All You Want"
Jerome Obholz is a Nashville-based Pop artist who writes emotional music that takes you on a journey through his life. Recently Jerome brought a few mixes to his producer and out came his latest enchanting single "All You Want". This record has a lot of raw emotion and energy in it; it takes you across what seems like an emotional rollercoaster. "All You Want" features a very dynamic evolving drum rhythm, atmospheric ethereal pads, an upbeat campfire-like guitar, and an honest modern feeling vocal that transforms throughout the song. Jerome's vocal performance is what completes the song and makes it feel whole, the songwriting is incredibly catchy and gets stuck in your head immediately. In the chorus of the song, the vocal transforms to have an ethereal vocoder effect that helps support the lyrics being said. The drums in "All You Want" feel extremely organic and alive, they transform from being tamer to exploding in the pre-chorus and chorus. The production of this record perfectly suits the story Jerome is creating and manages to keep the energy high but gives enough space for the vocal to breathe. But "Blessed" was just me reflecting on my life, is this music meant for me? Will I be able to take my music career to new heights, am I good enough? I know we all feel like this sometimes, whether it be a career or ideas or whatever you wanna do. But I'm sure everyone can relate to wanting to quit or having some self-doubt, we are all human. I just feel like God has been blessing me, from getting 4 million views on Facebook to winning music video of the year and receiving a Filcan rap music award. As well as Fat Joe hearing my music, never in a million years, I could see this happen. When you have people that say you not gonna be shit, or you are not gonna make it, hearing those things stick with you for life. So through the song, I just wanted to shout out loud that I'm super "blessed." Where do you get your inspiration for such witty bars? Has flexing your lyrical dexterity and knack for wordplay always come easy for you? My inspiration comes from the hip-hop greats who came before and current artists who make you wanna be better. The list is too long to mention but even rapping as a kid, steal sharpen steal, the creativity is fully embraced. I always knew I wanted to bend people's ears, you can say your wordplay however you choose. But I knew if I was witty with it, it would make you stop and think like what did he just say lemme rewind that. We know that artists can be their own biggest critics and at times it can be difficult to know when a song is complete. At what point did you know that “Blessed,” was ready to release? Honestly, after the day I wrote it and completed the recording the following week. I knew the energy on this track will be contagious, and I remember going to one of my friend's houses playing the record, and her kids instantly saying the hook of the song. We all know if kids can recite your song, you definitely gotta fire track on your hands. Also, I played it for some people that don't even like hip-hop, and they love the song to this day and that speaks volumes. What message do you aim to send out to your listeners through the music that you create? I'm not aiming to set out a message or one specific message, I just want people to feel the music. if you're having a bad day or a good day, I just want people to be able to put on my music and catch a vibe. Also through catching a vibe you never know if there might be a gem in there you can appreciate, but it's on you to catch the gem no matter the topic or vibe of a record. Instagram

- Take A Trip Down South With Crow Buntry's Upbeat Release, "Rollin' Smoke"
Hailing from the U.S. and Canada, the fictional Country-rock band Crow Buntry releases their invigorating and soulful single, "Rollin' Smoke." The band collaborates on songwriting and production whilst living across North America, continuously aiming to create lyrical content that brings a smile to listeners while also explaining relatable and everyday situations. With their recent upbeat and lively single "Rollin' Smoke," Crow Buntry brings this whopping country/southern rock sound to the forefront for listeners to get lost in the atmosphere's heaviness and girth. With deep and intense vocals heating the vibe, we naturally feel this wall of energy hit our speakers within one mere listen. "Rollin' Smoke" opens with melodic electric guitar supported by upbeat drum patterns and a squealing harmonica. As the lead vocals kick in, the vocalist's delivery is incredibly deep and growly as he begins to describe playful scenes encompassing the warm southern way of life, lighting up barbeques, and cooking up a rack of short ribs with mouth-watering brisket loaves. The supporting instrumentals are incredibly lively and upbeat, delivering raw electric guitar melodies that inevitably win listeners over to their monstrous sound. Not to mention the blistering harmonica that transports listeners directly into the heart of the country-rock music scene, the song's entire instrumentation serves an irresistible sensation that we can't get enough of. "Rollin' Smoke" brings listeners deep down south with Crow Buntry's exhilarating sound, and we're more than impressed with the band's dedication to delivering pure country tunes exuding life. Hello Crow Bounty and welcome to BuzzMusic. We love the energy and soul you've infused into your single "Rollin' Smoke." Could you tell us what inspired the band to create such a heavy country-rock tune? When ya BBQ in the south, it’s our Christmas morning. Wakin’ up before the sun excited to fire up that pit, sit around the smoker drinking beers with the boys, n give that meat the love, care, and respect that it deserves. We really wanted to channel that raw energy into a BBQ anthem that we would wanna listen to while we roll our smoke and wait for Redneck BBQ Santa Claus to bring that delicious fall off-the-bone meat! What sort of concept did you want to deliver with "Rollin' Smoke" and your descriptive lyricism regarding southern lifestyles? “Rollin’ Smoke” is our “hot n’ fast” love letter to “low n’ slow” southern BBQ. We do this every weekend (and some weekdays) so we wanted to be very deliberate with our lyrics and delivery so that it would hit home with passionate BBQ fans. Those ain’t just words that rhyme, they’re what we live around the BBQ pit. Seeing as Crow Buntry hails from parts of the U.S. and Canada, what was your creative process like when building the track, especially since members are scattered across North America? Uncle Dick Buntry came up with the idea down in Texas and we did a little songwriting on the initial concept. We tracked some vocals and harmonica in Nashville, lead guitars in Boston, bass and lead vocals in Texas, and guitars plus vocals in Florida where the pieces got put together. Uncle Dick took a trip to Florida to meet up with Crenshaw for the final mixing at his studio down that way. You've mentioned that your lyrical content is quite comedic yet also depicts relatable situations of everyday life. What inspired the band to take this lighthearted and playful route with your lyricism? Mag Buntry: Well the world has enough serious songs about trucks, guns, dogs, and ex-wives. If you ain’t laughing then you might as well be crying. We think that everyone could use a good laugh these days and make music that reflects our attitude toward mainstream country, pop, and rap. Uncle Dick Buntry: Shit, I was just about to throw a brisket on the smoker n wanted to write a song about BBQ. I dunno what the hell Mag’s talking about. What has been keeping you inspired in 2020? Weed, Whiskey, and a shit ton of BBQ! BBQ, BBQ sauce, BBQ seasonin’, BBQ wood, and BBQ smokers. Oh and no politricks. Instagram Facebook
- Interview: We Wander And Their Latest Single, "Silver Lining"
We’re incredibly excited to feature your latest sincere single “Silver Lining”. What can you say to our readers about the song's main message, and what do you want your audience to take away from “Silver Lining”? Hi BuzzMusic, Thank you so much for having us. This song is about fostering hope and shining a light on Mental Health. When I first wrote this song, I was coming from a dark time in my life. I remember coming home from the Hospital and just thinking, “What is the point.” That’s when I took out my guitar and started spilling out the lyrics. I want our listeners to take away the message that even in the hard times you’re not alone, and there is always going to be a light at the end of the tunnel or that silver lining. Between the four of you that is We Wander, how did you find inspiration to write “Silver Lining”? Could you share how the group translated that inspiration to a well-rounded alternative sound? “Maddy wrote this song at a very young age” - Drummer Jacob Rondeau “When I was about 14, I wrote this song with only my acoustic guitar and my vocals. Once I brought it to the band, it was when the song started to evolve and take shape with everybody’s own unique ideas. The final product became a very chill, vibey, and honest song. We’ve heard that We Wander takes influences from Amber Run and City and Colour. What can you say about We Wander’s sound, and how these groups/artists impacted your band's sound overall? City and Colour have always been a very big influence on me when it comes to writing, the way he phrases his lyrics and the chords that amplify his sound. When it comes to the acoustic element I always try to choose open chords to give it that lush and full well-rounded sound. We’ve heard that We Wander took a three-year gap between releases! Could you share with our readers how We Wander’s sound has evolved since 2017, and what made you want to make a reappearance to the music industry? When We Wander first started we had a lot of different people in the band and was not our official lineup. We took some time to perfect our sound and get our tones dialled down, we also surrounded ourselves with people who we have a strong connection with. We spent about a year doing pre-production with our producers FXRRVST (pronounced Forest) and learned a great deal from them. What can we expect to see from We Wander throughout the rest of 2020? We are very excited about our EP coming out in June and being able to play shows after this pandemic end. With our music coming out at times like this, we are trying to adapt to this new normal and seeing it as an opportunity for us to get to know our fan base better and support our community.
