  • SUPER-Hi & NEEKA Are "Following The Sun"

Electronic music group and producers SUPER-Hi team up with musical duo NEEKA for one hell of a summer anthem entitled "Following The Sun" and an accompanying music video. SUPER-Hi earned their chops working as their alternate identity, Red Triangle (David Guetta, Charlie Puth, Alesso, 5 Seconds Of Summer). They've made it clear that house-shaking and party-starting electronic tunes never go out of style, but they'reThey've" also skilled in merging organic instrumentals for a palpable experience. The electronic group recently teamed up with vocal duo NEEKA for their breezy anthem for summertime, "Following The Sun." The song is a lively breath of fresh air that melts the speakers with spirited beats, lush vocals, bright keys, and a tender guitar melody. The song's music video is truly a treat for the soul. Diving into the picturesque music video for "Following The Sun," the scene opens with an actress getting ready to hit the road in her open-topped Jeep. As she picks up a friend, the two rolls full steam ahead towards their endless thrills and adventures. The many nature-esque drone shots and their wind-blown hair give us some extreme vacation FOMO. After traveling through the lush forests, the gals land on the rocky cliffs of the Mediterranean Sea, jumping in without a care in the world. The underwater shots feel like some sort of travel agency advertisement that's almost too good to be true. When all is said and done, the girls end their day sinking their feet into the sandy pebbles and watching the sun go down. Allow SUPER-Hi and NEEKA to take you on a sonic vacation with their latest single and music video, "Following The Sun." Find the song on all digital streaming platforms and the music video on YouTube. Welcome to BuzzMusic, SUPER-Hi. You have us craving a vacation after watching your music video for "Following The Sun." What inspired the carefree, bright, and feel-good song itself? That's basically it! We were in lockdown and were desperate to jump in a car and head to a beach somewhere or travel somewhere hot, and we couldn't. So we thought we'd write a song that had that feeling, at least. What was it like working alongside musical duo NEEKA for "Following The Sun?" How did that collaboration come about? NEEKA are both awesome writers, singers, and people! Negin is a writer we've worked with on lots of projects, and Katy is my Sister! We had been wanting to do something with them as an act for ages, and this was the first thing we did… right place, right time vibes for sure. Who helped create the "Following The Sun" music video? What was it like brainstorming ideas and approaches for the visual project? The music video was tough because we couldn't be there because of COVID. As soon as we saw the treatment, we were buzzing because it encapsulated the whole meaning behind the song, Rick and I are those idiots that will take a longer route to somewhere just for the journey and the road trip, and the video had that. We also LOVE cliff jumping, and it had that too, even though the director had no idea. What sort of visual experience did you want to offer viewers with the "Following The Sun" music video? What did you want them to feel? We wanted people to be able to put the video on and lose themselves in the images and music. It's all about escape. We've watched it a thousand times, and reading the comments is awesome because it really means something to so many people. There's even an edit online that lasts 24 hours or something, but I think that's possibly too much Following the Sun for one day ha What's next for you? Hopefully, some shows and more music. The song has become such a global thing that we're seeing it connect in so many different countries. We'd love to travel the world and play it live for people. We have another record coming out this summer which we're buzzing about too, so stay tuned. Instagram Twitter

  • Is Cali Rodi The “Girl Who Cried Love?”

Los Angeles-based punk-inspired popstar and singer-songwriter Cali Rodi is exploding the music scene with powerhouse hits like her new single, "Girl Who Cried Love." Cali Rodi's thrilling stylings are ready to bring new and exciting energy to your playlist. She's inspired by the legendary sounds of early 2000s pop-punk, the angst of the Warped Tour scene, and rearview mirror-shaking 808s. Cali Rodi is redefining the pop genre with equally fresh and nostalgic sounds with each new tune. The LA-based recording artist is stomping through the music scene with heavy-hitting tracks like her recent "Girl Who Cried Love."" The new single is the title track of Rodi's forthcoming debut EP, produced by Matt Malpass (Machine Gun Kelly, blink-182), Max Weinik (Loote), and legendary vocal producer Emily Wright (Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus). Expanding on the hearty new single, "Girl Who Cried Love," we jump into a plucky and mysterious electric guitar melody that's later smacked with lively punk drum breaks and Cali Rodi's charismatic vocals. As she touches on relating to the girl who cried love, Rodi belts her heart out in this Paramore meets Taylor Swift manner that's truly exhilarating. This is such a clever track; we love how Cali Rodi lets listeners relate to lyrics like "Oh no, here she goes again, we already know how the story ends." Perhaps your friend who falls for anything that moves might benefit from such a cathartic single like this. Cali Rodi leads us to the outro with incredible enthusiasm, closing the experience on a thrilling note. Keep your energy at a high with help from Cali Rodi's explosive new single, "Girl Who Cried Love," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Cali Rodi. What a listening experience you've provided with your latest single, "The Girl Who Cried Love." What inspired this specific and conceptual piece? ,"The Girl Who Cried Love” is a hopeless romantic anthem about a girl who says "I love you" so many times to the wrong people, that eventually" when she actually DOES fall in love, nobody believes her. It’s a modern spin on the story "It'sThe Boy Who Cried Wolf." What was it like creating the intense instrumentals and exciting production for "The Girl Who Cried Love"? Did you work with the same producers on your upcoming debut EP? Sonically, this is me diving head-first into a punk-inspired pop sound, and that sound is reflected on the whole EP. I've written over 30 songs for this project, and I'm still narrowing them down, but I feel so lucky to have worked with producer Max Weinik on "The Girl Who Cried Love." We were listening to a lot of Fall Out Boy when we made this, and I think that's pretty evident in the track. I've been working with a lot of amazing producers for my EP, including Matt Malpass (blink-182, Machine Gun Kelly), Joe Pepe (Iann Diorr), and Jakkyboi to name a few. Did you find it easy to write such cathartic and storytelling lyrics for "The Girl Who Cried Love?" What was your experience writing the song? This song is very autobiographical of my high school serial dating years (haha), so it was easy to tap into those feelings. I think every girl has been there-feeling so desperate for love that she'd do anything to see it happen, to feel that rush, even if it might mean losing a part of herself. Did you want the listener to take anything away from "The Girl Who Cried Love?" What did you want to make them think and feel? I want listeners to feel energized and empowered to think for themselves, to believe they can create their own fairytale ending in their way and in their own time. What's next for you? World tour. Backup dancers. PYRO. Well… until then, I guess I should put out my EP! Instagram Facebook

"Wann" Be" is available on all streaming platforms now. Welcome to BuzzMusic Lawrence D, we are so happy to have you here with us today! e love the message you brought across" in "Wann," Be," as we feel it's relatable to most individuals. What was your main focus for this record, and how long did it take for you to complete? Thank you so much for having me. My main focus for the song was to show a certain type of toxicity in a relationship or situation-ship. We have all been in a certain push and pull with someone. They didn't live up to your expectations and promise of being there, or maybe you were the person who couldn't hold to your word of commitment. I always try to write my songs where anybody can understand them and make them mostly relatable to anyone. That was mostly the main purpose of "Wanna Be." It took a few months actually to finish this song. I was sleeping on this song for a while. I needed to find the perfect feature that could give the song the best approach. Thankfully, a good and talented friend of mine by the name of "219am" came into the studio in Nashville and literally wrote his verse so fast and did what needed to be done on the record. He s a very great artist and songwriter. I was really thankful that he came through the way he did. "Wanna Be" seems like a personal, intimate journey. What did you want people to take away from the record? I wanted them to take away a kind of self-reflection. I wanted the listeners to know that sometimes almost is never enough. Sometimes we fall for the people who say one thing and mean another. We get into this thing where potential is disguised as love and lust. We also do this not only in relationships, but we do it in our everyday short-term and long-term goals ourselves. As an artist who always pushes the envelope to prove they're different, what advice would you give another artist who is struggling to find who they are? The only advice that I can truly give is that you are where you're supposed to be. You are who you're supposed to be. All the puzzles will eventually come together, and you will be who you are genuinely and without question. Stay on the path you set and never stray from it. "Wanna Be" takes us to a much earlier time in music where R&B was everything. Which artist from back then made you feel like you had to pay dues to this kind of finesse to an R&B record, and how deeply did these inspirations affect your style of music? The artist and singers that usually inspire me are mostly is Brian Mcknight, Luther Vandross, The Weeknd, & Sam Smith. These artists have molded me into the person and artist I am today. The way I write. The way I sing. I often always go back to them not only in times of need but also as a teacher. I remember listening to Luther and Brian when I was a child and singing every one of their songs literally till my lungs burst. I watched every video and played every song. It was always my dream to sing with these artists and always will be my dream. They have definitely left a very big impact on my life. What's up next? What's up next is that I am releasing my very first project this year. I'm very excited to be releasing every piece of me on this project. I sincerely can't wait for everyone to hear what I have been working on. Im putting the final touches on it now, and after that, I will be set to be released. Stay tuned. Instagram

Nigerian-born London-based musician, producer, and songwriter Veeesax introduces listeners to 'Life's Journey' with a serene 2-track EP. Veeesax is Victor Ajayi, who's passionate about spreading the gospel of Christ through the instrument of music. He's currently the music director at his home church choir, Redeemed Christian Church of God. Veeesax is a prolific multi-instrumentalist who specializes in brass and other woodwind instruments. Listeners can hear Veeesax's affinity with soothing tunes and harmonious brass instrumentals through his new 2-track EP, 'Life's Journey.' The featured songs on the project are "Peaceful Storm" and "Not Alone," both of which perfectly represent life's battles and the importance of having faith in the power above. We're met with track number one, "Peaceful Storm, " listening to the project." This sweet and serene instrumental opens with soft electric guitar strums and the smoothest saxophone melody. As downtempo lo-fi drums begin dancing through our speakers, Veeesax's dreamy saxophone sonically serenades us and reminds listeners that it's always darkest before dawn. We love the gentle nature of this song; it's the perfect soundtrack for navigating through life's turmoil and coming out stronger than ever. Onto the EP's second track, "Not Alone," Veeesax ramps up the energy and feel-good theme through dreamy background pads and lush keyboard melodies. Veeesax melts our speakers with a gentle saxophone melody and his serene, downtempo, lo-fi drums as the song slowly expands. We adore the modern lo-fi spin Veeesax put on these tracks that offer classic elements of jazz and r&b through rich brass sections and an overall easy-listening feel. We're sure these tunes will help listeners find peace in their days, especially as they continue trudging through 'Life's Journey.' Do yourself a favor and ease your mind with Veeesax's latest 2-track EP, 'Life's Journey,' now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Veeesax. We're truly impressed with your new EP's gentle and feel-good nature, 'Life's Journey.' What inspired you to track life's peaks and valleys through two instrumental pieces? Thank you BuzzMusic, for having me on this platform. I am a Christian and a believer in the finished work of Christ. While studying the book of Mark 4:35-41, I had a deep reflection on my life and the lives of people around me. Amidst my thoughts, I concluded that the journey called life is like sailing an ocean, We go through different stages of life; peaks and troughs. I have had my own share of ups and downs. These inspired the two instrumental pieces. What was your creative process like for 'Life's Journey?' How did you go about creating the tone, vibe, and feel of your instrumentals? I love relaying stories with music. Every note of each track represents a moment in every phase of life. There are happy days, and others when it seems like the whole world is crashing. All of these emotions are there to make us experience the true essence of life. Reflecting through each moment of my life's journey so far, inspired the creative process. Did you want to tell a story with the two songs on 'Life's Journey?' What did you want to get across to listeners? Yes. Through life's journey, we will be faced with many storms. My personal encounter of Mark 4:35-41 revealed that when we have Jesus in our lives, we will never sail the oceans of life alone. Also, Jesus is committed to helping us find peace through the storms. He did not promise us a storm-free life but we have the assurance of His peace and victory through the storms. To the listeners of these tracks across the globe; my message is simple - Do not go through the storms of life alone, invite the Savior into your boat and He will give you absolute rest (peace). Since your music is mostly instrumentals, how do you spread the word of the Lord without lyrics? How does your music represent your Christian faith and efforts? This is a very profound question. Musical instruments do not talk, but they speak. Over the years as a musician, I have come to understand the spirituality of sounds. We are spiritual beings and we have connectivity with realms beyond the physical. The sound of music has the ability to take us on a journey beyond the physical realm. My music aims to ride on this frequency in connecting with the soul and spirit of the listeners. In addition, the Holy Spirit is the conviction, my assignment is simply to deliver the sounds as inspired by the giver of the gift and He will take it from there. Also leveraging platforms like yours (BuzzMusic) gives me the opportunity to water the seed of the music by expressing the inspiration behind the sounds. What's next for you? The future is very bright! The music video of the Life's Journey project is scheduled to be released in Q4 2022. My next EP project is also in the pipeline and it promises to bless and transform lives. Instagram

We also adore the theme of togetherness that encourages us to lean on those we trust most. Say goodbye to the fakes and hello to the "Drip" in track number nine. Featuring Brizz, this powerhouse tune introduces us to the world of icy drip, expensive habits, private jets, and thanking the Lord for seeing another drippy day. In the event you get hungry, feast your ears on the album's tenth track, "Meatballs & Spaghettini." Phayze-Won is solo in this playful and lively track, which smokes our speakers with a bouncy Kendrick-type beat alongside a hungry and determined Phayze-Won. We love the passionate feel of this track that takes us into when life was easier and the times when we didn't have a care in the world. They brought talent, positive energies, and excellence to the table, which is what I was looking for. I'm grateful for them being a part of this project. I have great respect for them as artists. Do you have a personal favorite track from 'I AM KING?' What makes that song so special to you? "Glory" is my favorite because it makes me feel love and light. • Phase3, Aka Queen Shatai, Keeps It Honest On Latest Single, “Tragic Potential Love”

Phaze3 is a multi-genre artist who has been releasing hot tracks in the music industry like "Don't Rattle Me," "Sipping," "Seed The King," and "The Motion," among many more. Now, as an independent artist who has previously experienced most of her writing, singing, and rapping in Gospel music; Phaze3 is now stepping into a new genre by releasing her first Pop/ R&B creation: "Tragic Potential Love." "Tragic Potential Love" is a piece with so many emotions wrapped up in wholehearted lyrics by the experienced songwriter while serenading it to perfection. Phase3 takes us deep into her thoughts of what the relationship might be and the tragic risks that come with real love. Throughout "Tragic Potential Love," Phaze3 sings about the life her other half is living and how it has cast a shadow on their once solidified relationship. Yet, as her trust wanes, her unconditional love remains unchanged. Phaze3 acknowledges that the good times seem to be marked more and more by the bad, admitting the "down and outs weren't made for me," no longer able to be strung along in the constant games. The vulnerability Phaze3 offers on "Tragic Potential Love" is an anthem for listeners that are going through similar situations, adding comfort and strength to see Phaze3 openly discuss these feelings and stand tall throughout. Phaze3, who is now known as Queen Shatai, is eager and ready to give her fans new music, new vibes, and performances worldwide. Welcome to BuzzMusic Phaze3, and congratulations on your release "Tragic Potential Love." How did this song come about, and what was your main inspiration for it? "Tragic Potential Love" came about from different places of emotions that occurred over the last couple of years of my life as it relates to love. I have had several experiences that have crossed my path from working on my gift of healing that led me to visit old places that I had forgotten about. So due to these feelings that surfaced, they became trapped, or we can even say smothered, between me and other guys who showed me that they wanted real love with me. But because of my current relationship status, those strong feelings of love had to be temporarily masked until allowed to potentially turn into something great. My main inspiration for this track was women. I thought about women who are currently in the same situation I'm in, as well as women who are not in the same situation but feel strongly that they just want love to work; they want their men to be on the same page as they are with their feelings; they want to see their man make positive changes so the relationship can work. In "Tragic Potential Love," you show many emotions and true character, how did you get yourself into that zone when creating this record? It was not hard at all getting into the zone of this song because that love is still being masked and lives inside of me; it still resides in my heart. So when singing this song to myself, I just simply tap into those places where I have safely secured that love bond. So when I open up, emotions surface, then I close my eyes and go into remembrance; and visiting those old moments that are captured in my heart and mind helps me to be able to connect with the song. You've mentioned being a multi-genre artist. What do you believe to be your favorite genre and why? I believe my favorite genre will be Pop because you can do so much with pop music. A lot of creativity happens in Pop music. "Tragic Potential Love" shares many lyrics people can relate to, but what would you like your supporters to take away from the record? I would like my supporters to understand that when you meet real love, don't abuse it or misuse it. Work at it with each other and give it a chance to grow, and never put a timeline on real love because when real love happens to you; you need to actually be more attentive to it, nurture and shelter it, and remember to never leave it alone because if you do…it can tragically die. What's next for you? What's next on Phaze3's list is to, of course, grow more in music, grow more as an artist and get to know more of who I am. Connect more with different people in the business and see what all options are out there for me. Instagram Facebook

This song is sure to leave listeners in need of some human touch and TLC, but maybe without the tenderness. Fuel your inner fire with a lively banger like Kanda's "Kiss," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Kanda. We're dancing away to the groove and energy of your new single, "Kiss." What inspired you to create this playful and upbeat song? Yo-yo!!!! Hope you're well and thank you for having me, I appreciate the love for my new single 'KISS'. The inspiration behind it is the time of year that we are in at the moment, as you will know, summer is well and truly approaching and I really wanted to make an upbeat song to compliment the heat that we will all be feeling now and in the next few months. What was your songwriting process like for "Kiss?" What scenes did you want to paint in the listener's mind with your words? I loved writing 'KISS' it was just so fun coming up with playful and cheeky lines within the verses. The general concept of the song revolves around the idea that sometimes it is better to be flirty and have fun rather than being stressed and committed, especially at such a young age when we have our whole lives ahead of us. This song just speaks to me personally, reminding me just how significant life can be through being experimental and allowing yourself to be free. How do the instrumentals in "Kiss" enhance the song's overall vibe? Who helped you create such a warm and energetic instrumental atmosphere? The instrumental behind the song is such a vibe to listen to both casually and when you just want to bust a move! I have never really made a song like this before, I believe the closest comparison I can make throughout my catalog is my previous single 'Toxicity', but I definitely think the instrumental brings this song to a whole new level. The catchy guitar riff will have you dancing the night away I can most certainly guarantee that! What do you hope this song does for listeners? How do you want your audience to react to "Kiss?" This song brings a general feel-good vibe where I expect people to be dining to this for sure. I actually sent previous demos of the song to some of my friends and they were playing them non-stop which is hopefully a good sign! The song is all about enjoyment, although it's called 'KISS', there are endless ways to experience enjoyment, and I hope listening to my new song will provide another. The single has a really cool fun video out the same today too, can you tell us about it? The video was so fun but quite weird to record. I wanted to capture a fresh and original image of a 'Mr. Steal-yo-girl' type of scenario, but instead of another man, it's a cute-looking bear. I have to give credit to the dancer who was in the bear costume, not quite sure how he managed to pull off all of those moves in that costume, but it was so much fun to record and it just makes me excited for future music videos and unique ideas for them. What's next for you? I have an EP waiting to be released following this single, I won't say too much on it right now, but what I can say is you're definitely not going to want to miss out on listening to it. Every song is different from the previous one within the song list and you will be able to see more news on the release of my EP within the sunny months of June and July. The only other thing left to say is thank you for having me and, as always, watch this space, my people!!! Facebook

The Southwest London, UK-residing artist, The Guv, started composing and singing in his teenage years in Istanbul, under the influence of local artists, such as Zeki Muren, Sezen Aksu, Baris Manco, and worldwide renowned ones, in the vein of Queen, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles. At the start of his career, he sang to small pub audiences and worked his way up to performing in front of hundreds of spectators. After tasting renown in his home city, he relocated to London, which felt like a spiritual home accommodating his dynamic approach to creativity. The folk stylings of his latest work have The Guv captivating listeners most profoundly. With amplified buoyancy, "Love and Joy" depicts a brilliant execution of storytelling. Through the acoustic warmth that's resonated by the passion-fueled guitar strums, the intensity of this soundscape wavers as we embark on a sonic voyage ready to take you into its embrace. Beauty emanates within the lyrical motifs professed as "that love and Joy" acts as a loving and romantic ode to life and the potential it gives us to indeed be happy in our relationships with ourselves. As our focus shifts between the vocal presence of The Guv and the anticipation conjured up by the instrumentation, we're fixated on how well these elements shine in their own regard and how they reach newfound levels when brought together. Taking in the energy flowing throughout "Love and Joy," The Guv truly knows how to resonate with his audience deeply. The enthralling key tones in minor accentuate the inviting folk progressions, further giving the listener's mind a trip to where the sun shines bright. Upping the ante as he welcomes us into his melodic world of reflection, The Guv has us hooked on "Love and Joy." Welcome to BuzzMusic, The Guv. We love the overall energy that you brought to the table when composing regard as captivating as "Love and Joy." What inspired the desire-filled lyrics that you offer up? There is not only one theme to choose from. I believe this is a mix of embracing imperfection, how some aspects you hold dear in your life can change dramatically as other things remain the same, reflecting on your childhood, what "growing up" meant to you back then, and how it might entail a different context completely now. Still, whatever people make of the song will be about it. Although you stick in the folk pocket impeccably, there's an alternative groove to your music that we can't shake as we tour your music catalog. Do you often use the same approach when creating all of your songs? I like experimenting. For instance, I love funk and how Daft Punk got creative about it in the not-so-distant past. I also love art-rock/pop from the 70s, e.g., Kate Bush, Van Der Graaf Generator, and the early works of Queen. Sometimes it feels incomprehensible. I mean, how they came up with these ideas. I have a lot of things to work on and play with. My interest in a broad range of genres may be an advantage for getting more creative with my composition. I usually compose on the piano. However, there are other ways to do it, such as improvising on a melody that randomly comes to my mind. No real prescription. How does your growth as an artist feel to you this far into your career? Slow and steady. My hypothesis is that quickly scaling requires a trade-off. This trade-off might be related to quality, passion, or simply money. We'll see. What message would you like your audience to be left with after listening to "Love and Joy?" "Not everything will go exactly as you planned. But things are still going to be good, as long as you maintain your resilience, passion, and integrity." What's next for you? We have another interesting song lined up for June. Stay tuned! We adore the warmth and passion within your recent single, "Black Coffee." What inspired you to create this loving and tender piece? Hi, Thanks for listening! So I had the song idea at 6 am one morning. I was missing this person I had dated for two months, and even though the romance was short-lived, it was still impactful. I would remember small details about her, such as how she took her coffee and how we used to text good morning. Was it easy for you to open your heart when writing the lyrics for "Black Coffee?" Did your passionate words flow with ease? Yes, it was very easy to open my heart, I wanted the song to be very sincere, and I think it came across that way in the end, which I'm happy with! What did you want the listener to picture and feel when experiencing "Black Coffee?" Did you want the song to trigger any thoughts or emotions? Yeah, I suppose since the song was about missing someone and appreciating the memories you had, I wanted to make the listener reflect on their own "black coffee person" - and hopefully not feel any bitterness towards the person, but rather some fondness. How does "Black Coffee" differ from your previous singles? What makes this song stand out from the rest? I really like how this song starts out kind of slow and balladry on the piano, but once the handclaps come in and the beat grabs your attention, it takes the song to a whole new level of emotion. I think it's more mature than my other singles. It's one of my only songs which doesn't have the word "Love" included in the lyrics because it's not a love song, not really. I wasn't in love with this person. I didn't know this person long enough to determine that feeling, but I certainly liked this person, I liked this person a lot, and this is a very wholesome song about liking someone that much. And in hindsight, it was nice to be liked back in that same way. What's next for you? I filmed a music video for this single, so hopefully, I will get more views on that. I have a gig with my band "Rosaic" at the end of May at o2 Academy2 Islington in London, UK. And I want to write more songs, in general, this summer, and hopefully, they will reach the right people.
