- Lost James Brings Us Down to Earth with “Chapman’s Pool”
Lost James is a London based artist who just released his debut album “Chapman’s Pool.” Lost James found his passion for music early in life when he taught himself the piano at age 16. He ended up studying the arts and began to perform covers in local settings. Lost James eventually developed into a songwriter and began performing originals. The record’s name “Chapman’s Pool” has sentimental value to Lost James. After University he moved to Dorset, England and one day stumbled upon a small cove called Chapman’s Pool. This ended up being a place he visited many times over the years, then became the title of a song – and now his album. The connection Lost James has to this special place is mirrored in his songwriting. He often references nature in his lyrics; he once stated: “I belong to the mountain and the deep blue sea.” Additionally, in his song “Sunday,” Lost James sings “been climbing trees just to escape from you” and “there’s soil under my fingernails.” The titles “Wintersong,” “Volcano” and “Chapman’s Pool” also fit the naturalistic vibe you will get from this album. The artwork for the album also consists of polaroid pictures of Chapman’s Pool. Lost James wanted to create an authentic EP that reflected pieces of nature and human emotion – and he succeeded. Each song on this record is stripped down and exposed. They each tell a different story as if they are each a distant memory, yet they all tie together with the common theme of nature and real feeling. The background music is kept to a minimum, leaving room for his peaceful vocals to take the spotlight. There is a soft piano in each track with electronic undertones. Lost James’ voice will bring you straight to peace once you hear it. Vocally, he could be close to a whisper, yet you would still feel it deep in your gut as if he was singing in his earthy, deeper voice. Lyrically, Lost James transports you to the place he is singing about. In “Volcano” you’ll find yourself dreaming about the deep ocean, and during “In Bed” and “Toast” you’ll want nothing else but to crawl into bed with that special someone. After listening to just one song on the album, you will feel like you know Lost James. His creativity and sincerity are simply contagious. To quote his song “Volcano” - when you listen to the album “Chapman’s Pool;” “you are free.” Listen to “Chapman’s Pool” here. Hey Lost James! Welcome to BuzzMusic, we’re pleased to have you here! We loved your album “Chapman’s Pool,” and are especially intrigued by the reason for its name. Can you tell us more about how Chapman’s Pool in Dorset, England has inspired this album? Chapman's Pool is a place that is very special to me. 19 years ago I found it by mistake driving one day when I lived in that part of the UK. I parked my car and went for a walk and ended up finding a small cove I didn't know the name of it at the time. It's a bit of a mission to get down to it (and back up) and but it's worth as it is beautiful and secluded. I was not in a good place at the time and over the years I've come back to Chapman's Pool and despite the weather, I always feel at peace there. That is where the inspiration came from, how we project our feelings on nature and how a place can be so beautiful and dangerous. That sense of isolation but also being at peace and feeling so connected to something that has no feelings about you in return. You used to perform covers at open mic nights, what inspired you to start writing original music? I wanted to play the piano, from an early age, I always wrote songs and lyrics and poems so it was a natural progression you start with covers, listening to other artists it's just a natural progression and you start feeling inspired and more confident you want to find your own voice. I also find writing songs as a way of being able to express what I am feeling in a safe place. You studied Fine Art Printmaking at Winchester School of Art. Can you tell us how this has inspired the creation of your music today? Music and art go hand in hand for me imagery are very important I used polaroids a lot during my degree part of their charm is you get what you get. I wanted the artwork to reflect the mood songs, I wanted it all to be as authentic as possible. The polaroids were taken at Chapman's Pool and for some reason, they all came out blue, they were perfect almost like they were taken on another planet. I released a limited run of cassettes and each song on the inlay card has its own polaroid image, I wanted the physical edition to have meaning, for it to be a beautiful object. The artwork definitely helped me to shape the record and to give it a sense of unity and its concept. Are there any artists or other people that have inspired your music to become what it is today? Can you tell us how they shape your art? When I was a teenager I tried to be a goth and I loved Siousxie & the Banshees, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy and would write poems of that nature all very angsty and brooding. There are a lot of artists along the way who I have been inspired by. Tori Amos was a real eye-opener on how to really write from the heart and to allow a song to twist and turn. Nick Cave and The Smiths and Kate Bush have also inspired me. But in the end, it's really about finding your own voice and what you believe in and want to present to the world, I'd be lying if I said there were not influences but I'd like to think what I have created is real and authentic. We were happy to have you here on BuzzMusic! We know that another EP is in the works. Can you tell us how the next one will be different than “Chapman’s Pool?” I already have the songs written so I'm ready to go. The new songs are more expansive and less introverted so I am looking forward to bringing in more elements. I don't want to lose myself but at the same time, I am excited to treat the songs differently and see what happens. instagram.com/lostjames_ #BuzzMusic
- Fly Wizzy Delivers a Rhythmic Hit With a Sentimental Meaning in “Come Closer”
Fly Wizzy released the vibrant single titled “Come Closer” and we found ourselves grooving along with the rhythm and singing alongside the hook! “Come Closer” is powerful in lyrical depths. From what we were able to interpret, we believed this single is about riding out with somebody who you been through tough history with. It’s a song that expresses the theme of fight and hope for your relationship. Instead of giving up on somebody, however, things end up crumbling apart anyways. This was a refreshing theme and it was much needed in this current market of singles that never takes this route. Fly Wizzy states that this song is mainly about putting in the effort with a loved one but unfortunately nothing ever works out in the end so you both break up and now you’re missing the cherishable chemistry you had with that person! The theme was clear, but the arrangement was spectacular! Fly Wizzy gave us a more upbeat production to correlate with the sentimental lyrics. The delivery was energetic and fun, showcasing great personality through the single. Fly Wizzy indulges you in his definition of heart-break while relating to the general public. “Come Closer” was a cleverly-written single that can be used as the perfect vibe to your reminiscence playlist! You can listen to “Come Closer” by Fly Wizzy here. What’s the story behind “Fly Wizzy”? My name is Wes masko aka fly wizzy. I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA with my mother and two older sisters. Growing up music was always part of my life. Eminem is my favorite artist. I remember having posters of him all over my wall and every cd he had out at the time and would just listen to the CDs on repeat, which eventually leads to me writing my own music. The name wizzy came from my friends just call me Wizzy all the time, and once I really started making music it just stuck! You have some huge accomplishments, congrats! Tell us what it's like being a signed hip hop artist to Casanova Records! Being signed to Casanova records has been amazing! If it wasn’t for management, I honestly don’t think my music would have as big of a following as it does now! And I couldn’t be more thankful for the time and money my manager has put into me and my music. We really enjoyed your single “Come Closer feat iDjFitz.”. How would you describe your creative process behind this record? What inspired you to write this song? Come Closer really came about when I and my girlfriend (mother of my children) was going through a rough patch in our relationship and was on the verge of splitting up. When I’m really In My feelings that’s when the best part of my music really comes alive. And both verses from me and iDjfitz really tell 2 different sides of the story! The first verse about the girl leaving the guy cause of the fighting and arguing and the 2nd verse tell you about the guy moving on do to drugs and some other things! And having iDjfitz on the song really gives the song a great vibe! His voice is great and you will be seeing more music from me and him! What can we expect to see from you throughout 2020? In 2020 expect to see a lot more music outta me. Music videos, EPs and maybe a possible album! So stay tuned cause Fly Wizzy taking off in 2k20! instagram.com/412FlyWizzy twitter.com/fly_wizzy facebook.com/412FlyWizzy #BuzzMusic
- R&B Artist Payton Releases Emotional & Inspirational Song "Endure"
Born in Tucson, Arizona comes R&B/Soul artist Payton. Growing up in a musically-driven family, Payton has always felt motivated to attribute his goals and intentions towards the music scene. Developing a strong work ethic regarding his music career, Payton has already performed at venues across the state, and out of state. Facing many trivial times throughout his life thus far, Payton has so much wisdom to contribute to his music, putting his motivational insight into the very tracks we hear from him today. Payton has recently released his track "Endure", which shares a huge part of these aspiring stories he holds, combined with a pretty catchy melody in order to stimulate more of the environment his music requires. A soothing guitar rhythm opens up "Endure," but almost immediately transitions into a more contemporary R&B style. Payton's vocals softly integrate into the track and resemble early 00's prime vocal features. One element that's very noticeable of Payton is how smooth his voice is, and how appealing it is once combined with the more upbeat production. "Endure" is full of emotion from Payton, with clear intentions being presented to listeners. "Endure" is definitely more of a dramatic storyline, taking listeners through the very intrinsic thoughts of Payton in such a methodical way. Payton strives to get inspiration across to listeners with "Endure", relaying the message of perseverance and strength. As an artist who puts emphasis on such incentives, Payton is clearly building a strong foundation with his faith. Listen to "Endure" by Payton here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Payton! Talk to us a little bit about your stage name. What's the story behind "Payton"? Payton is my actual name, Payton Goldston. I've gone by other names before, P-star and Psalm Star to name a few, but nothing stuck. I've only met a handful of people also named Payton, and they were all younger than me, so I just decided to go with my real name. My mom named me after the football player Walter Payton. You grew up in a musical household. How did this help you to shape your career in music from a young age? My mom and Grandmother inspired me to want to sing from a young age. Just seeing them sing around the house, or at church gave me a passion to also sing. I started off in the kid choirs in elementary and middle school. My teachers saw something in me that I didn't, so they encouraged me to sing more often and participate and regional and state choirs. My high school choir teacher did the same, but I would reminisce about the stories my Mom would tell me when she would be in open mic nights at night clubs and when she almost landed a part in Sister Act 2. She told me never took the risk and tried to pursue music further, but she wanted me to. So I made it a goal of mine to pursue music. Now here I am, 32 years old, finally making moves. We really enjoyed your single “Endure”. How would you describe your creative process behind this record? This song took a long time to make! I started working on this song back in 2012! I only wrote the chorus at that time. The younger me kept blaming it on writers' block, but it was really me not sitting down and taking the time to write it as I should have. I worked on it little by little until I finally finished it in 2018. A musician that works with said that the songs that show the most vulnerable side of you can be the most difficult to write because you never feel like you've fully conveyed your message. That's how I felt at that time. I finished writing but I felt like it wasn't complete yet. Another year of sitting on it and finally made some edits and got it recorded. Now I believe it is complete. What inspired you to write "Endure"? I realized sometimes healing takes enduring pain. Some wounds are too deep for a band-aid-like a remedy. This is also true emotionally and spiritually, as well as physically. This is me describing my process, being afraid to endure the pain of healing, but knowing that God is there is help me through it. What can we expect to see from you throughout 2020? A lot more content, including two EPs and some music videos before the end of the year hopefully. I'm also working with a collective of artists and musicians on an EP set to drop this year as well. Can't give away too many details on that but more to come. twitter.com/paytonrefocus Instagram.com/paytonrefocus #BuzzMusic
- NEW RELEASE: Naeso Presents His Laidback Track "Crazy"
What can you expect from artist Naeso? As an artist who hails from Ontario, CA, Naeso is putting his time and thoughtful intensity into his music to bring about a sound that listeners haven't yet heard. Sticking mostly to the Hip/Hop and R&B community, Naeso is creating a transformational sound with the choice of production he allows blended into his music. With the expressive style of Naeso, you can expect to be pleased with the kind of tone he reaches in his tracks. Naeso is one of many artists who underwent extreme hardships throughout his life thus far, and so you can sense the attributions of his experience throughout the tracks he comes out with. Naeso has released the energy-driven track "Crazy", produced by Rey Beatz. Let's first talk about the production, because it really complements the way Naeso goes about executing his vocal outflow. The melody is very atmospheric, making us feel many different ways as listeners. The production almost creates an easygoing environment where we feel like we can genuinely sit back and take in the full essence of the track. Naeso takes it to another level with the way he performs in "Crazy". The echoing effect brings a wavy aspect to the track, but more importantly, Naeso elevates his sound with how eloquent his wordplay is. "Crazy" was curated with a certain kind of style exclusive to Naeso, and the track opens up an entirely new pathway for what Naeso proves he's capable of doing. Check out "Crazy" by Naeso here. Welcome to BuzzMusic! What’s the story behind “Naeso”? Naeso is a portmanteau between my first and middle name; my middle name being my father’s first name. I went through a couple artist names, but I felt like I should incorporate my father’s name in my artist name as he and my mother were huge influences in my life. They’ve both exhibited impeccable work ethic within their lives, which I continue to aspire to have whenever I just hang around and do nothing. You've been through some major life changes! From moving to Canada from South Africa, and going to school with a football scholarship and taking a step back, talk to us about how these experiences have shaped who you are as an artist and how does it translate to your music? It’s been a roller coaster for sure! Moving to Canada from South Africa when I was three years old was a huge culture shift for my mother and father. We initially lived in an apartment in a small neighbourhood called Malton within Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, before settling in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. We were originally was suppose to move to Guelph, Ontario, Canada, due to my dad’s profession (a professor at the University of Guelph), but he passed away from liver cancer that same year we were considering to move. It was a tough loss for my mother and two sisters, but fast forward ten years, we are doing just fine. “Thank God”, my mom would continually always say to me, so I always continue to remind myself to put God in my life first, and everything else will follow. Now the football stuff; I was a highly touted recruit in high-school, getting heavily recruited by Division 1 schools such as Princeton, Virginia, etc. I was also admitted to an elite prep school in Florida called IMG Academy. Everything was looking promising, until I was misdiagnosed with depression back in my senior year, not to fully acknowledge I actually had Bipolar Disorder in 2018. When I was diagnosed with Bipolar, I had already withdrew from Saint Mary’s University, a school in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and abandoned my scholarship. I had a couple stints at community colleges studying engineering, hoping that my original passion from high-school would come forward, but it did not. Now I’ve turned to music, a thought I had on pursuing back around junior or senior year. I enjoyed writing poetry at that same, as it was a way to remove myself from my sadness. I was always told it was good to write your feelings onto a piece of paper, as it helped you release your pain. So as an artist, I hope to convey how I feel about my craziness, sadness, happiness, or whatever I’m feeling at the present moment within my music. We really enjoyed your single “Crazy”. How would you describe your creative process behind this record? Thank you! Well damn, I just felt like recording a song about me being crazy. I would use this app called Rhymers Block, which extremely helped my game as an artist. I’d pour some ideas down, see which words I can rhyme with, and go on from there. Afterwards, I would record in my bedroom or basement and mix/master the song through an app on my phone called BandLab. Essentially, at the moment, I do everything with two phones. Pretty crazy right, pun intended. However, further on I will be recording and doing all the necessary sound engineering with a studio called The Stu, that’s based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. There’s an amazing engineer there named, Kevin, who is extremely down-to-earth and awesome to work with. Send them a follow on Instagram: @welcometothestu What inspired you to write this single? Do you draw any musical inspiration from any other artists? This single was inspired by Kanye West’s 808s & Heartbreak album, as he used auto-tune a lot in that album. Artists that have heavily influenced me lately have been Kanye West, J. Cole, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Tame Impala, and this awesome artist named Devontée. I say awesome artist, because he’s an extremely down-to-earth person, has huge faith with God, and what’s even awesome is that he preaches a motto called “Working On Excellence” on a daily basis. He is an highly motivated person, and I aspire to be a man like him in my late 20s, to not only make great music, but to support people trying to attain their goals too. Send Devontée a follow on Instagram: @Devontee_WOE What can we expect to see from you through 2020? Oh man, I don’t want to jinx anything, but I’m hoping to release my debut album, and perform at a couple of shows. I’m hoping to develop my craft this year as an artist, but in the next couple years, I aim to get signed before I turn 25 years old, win a Juno, work with a couple A-Grade artists, and just continue expanding my brand and working on excellence. - New Music From Nimo and the Light Is on the Way and We Can't Wait
Welcome to BuzzMusic! What's the story behind Nimo and the Light? Nimo & The Light is an indie band from Brooklyn New York. I started the band in 2013 after I wrote songs that I envisioned in an indie package. I gathered highly accomplished musicians to help support my vision. We played extensively in the tri-boro area and after polishing the songs, we got into the studio and completed our 1st full-length album “Don’t feed the pigeons” It was such a pleasure getting to listen to your album "Don't Feed The Pigeons". What inspired this record? How did it come to light? The songs on the album were piling up in my drawer for a few years after I released my solo EP “Espresso River” in 2012 a lot of the material is an observation of our modern life, current political landscape, and emotional state. Some major inspirations include Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Beck. We first recorded the rhythm section (Bass & Drums) and added layers of guitars, keys, and vocals later in the process. It was a long process since I was funding it myself, but this definitely was a brilliant journey. "Keeping Em' Honest" is one of many infectious tracks on this record. How did you choose this song to be single? What does this song mean to you? “Keeping ‘em honest” is a song I wrote on one of my visits to my hometown Tel Aviv. At the time there was a big scandal involving leadership corruption that led to the indictment of the prime minister. This song is relevant today more than ever, with the rise of corruption stories related to people in power. This song is for those who had enough of broken promises, empty slogans and seek a cleaner and just political environment. You have some great accomplishments under your belt, as a band and solo. What has been a highlight of your career? The highlight was great album reviews from “shock ya” “vinyl chapters” magazines. Also, winning audience choice award runner up for the video of “Skin to skin” @ the “Great Lakes international film festival”. Getting a premiere on “Ventz magazine” and interviews on “obscure sound” “kill the music” “electro wow”. What can we expect to see from Nimo and the Light throughout 2020? We’re currently recording more songs. We have 2 new songs that are gonna be released early 2020 and will be followed up by a tour in the summer. We are still playing consistently in the New York area. Stream Nimo and the Light here. nimokally.com facebook.com/nimoandthelight #BuzzMusic
- Shannon Clark & the Sugar Bring a Calm and Relaxed Energy to "Carry Me"
Music group Shannon Clark & the Sugar come to deliver their gentle and delicate sound for all listeners. Hailing from Greenville, Ohio, the soft-spoken band is contributing to the Country/Folk category in such an amicable way. You know those songs you have on your playlist when you're in need of some mental reflection and tranquillity? Well, Shannon Clark & the Sugar are the kind of band meant for experiencing moments like that, and one of their most recent tracks "Carry Me" is pivotal in creating that ordeal for listeners. Shannon Clark & the Sugar are presenting such a tranquil and smooth vocal styling in "Carry Me". The track features some prominent country sounds, but appear themselves as much softer and creamier. Shannon Clark & the Sugar really strategized well with how they played out the intricacies of "Carry Me". It's the kind of track that doesn't only require your attention, it genuinely grabs it and keeps it for its entirety. The vocal range only grows and develops throughout the song, expressing the most passionate and intense ranges over halfway in the song. "Carry Me" is truthfully a beautiful experience all the way through. If you're the type of listener that cherishes a song focusing on more gentle and restful features, maintaining prominent instrumentals such as the violin, then "Carry Me" is undoubtedly the track for you. Personally, we're all about the songs that can give us mental relaxation, and Shannon Clark & the Sugar always execute this well with their listeners. "Carry Me" is already added to our relaxation playlist, and we suggest it be added to yours too! Discover "Carry Me" by Shannon Clark & the Sugar here. Hey, Shannon Clark & the Sugar! Welcome! Your track "Carry Me" has recently debuted, and it's a song that we can't stop listening to, mostly for its curative effects. How did you go about choosing the exact melody for this track? We originally recorded this as an acoustic song several years ago and wanted to revisit the song with a facelift. The song always had a special place in our hearts, it's personal and I wanted a somber soothing effect that gave the song the dignity it deserved, we felt that the cello, would give it the somber mood and the piano together create a nice wall of sound. With every artist, there seems to be a common theme presented throughout their music. When we listen to the soundings of Shannon Clark & the Sugar, we know that there are many common attributes integrated all throughout your sound. Are you able to share with our readers some of these elements that are characterizable of your music? We have always loved telling story’s that were personal. Good or bad. I’ve always been fascinated with love and romance as well as our common struggle with our everyday lives. As a band, how do you ensure that the creative aspect unfolds itself smoothly? Well, part of our core group (3 of us ). Our family, my wife is the drummer and my daughter also sings with us, so our dynamic is slightly different in that aspect but with the other members, just creating together and making selections of notes and parts that dance together to create a flow.... but with the right amount of tension. We do that by working hard and lots of practice. What do you think your genuine intentions are as a country band? Are there specific messages you intend on consistently relaying to your listeners? It’s a funny thing, “Country Band”, until last year I didn’t even know that’s what we were until that’s the playlists we ended up on lol. I’m from a small rural farming community so to me country is just part of where I’ve always lived and grew up so it comes out naturally in our sound. We are teetering more on the Alt-Country style I’d say. As far as Listeners, as they say, three chords and the truth, I try to connect by writing about things that anyone can connect to. Either way, I write for the love of music and hope that our music finds a home in someone’s heart. We appreciate the time, Shannon Clark & the Sugar! Are you planning on performing anywhere in the near future, and/or releasing any more music similar to "Carry Me"? Yes! We play out regionally now quite often. Nothing for national touring at the moment. We will be releasing several singles in the coming months as well as a live EP. Our full-length album will be our fall/ winter of 2020. Thank you! facebook.com/shannonclarksugar instagram.com/scsugarmusic twitter.com/shannonperrymus #BuzzMusic

- Theory Creates Chemistry With His Album “Bed Full Of Roses Or A Pool Of Blood”
Theory released his latest album titled “Bed Full Of Roses Or A Pool Of Blood”, a poetic and enigmatic project compiled with 7 tracks of deep and heartfelt stories of love, rejection, and acceptance. “Bed Full Of Roses Or A Pool Of Blood” begins with an introduction “What Is Love?”. “What Is Love?” was a nice short interlude that gives the definition of preassumption of what love means. This immediately gave away the concept of the album and it served as a great opener to the project. After “What Is Love”, “No Love” transitions in and this song had an unforgettable vibe that was limitless and textured. The production of “No Love” had an atmospheric aesthetic fused with a smooth-sailing R&B vibe, accompanied by Theory’s poignant delivery. Theory's artistry in “No Love” reminds me of the vibe artists who blend together both singing & rap and discusses relatable topics of love. Artists like 6lack, Bryson Tiller, The Weeknd, etc. However, Theory still manages to have his own style and creative vision for his music which made “No Love” a lot more eclectic. The next song that transitioned in was “Who Is He”. “Who Is He” kept this intoxicating atmospheric vibe that was showcased in “No Love”. The lyrics in “Who Is He” was detailed and created a story with imagery. “I ain't playing girl, who is he?” this line instantly gave us the idea that this song is about a girl who Theory may have strong feelings for, but unfortunately she’s entertaining another man. This is actually a common theme that many people can connect with. The idea of rejection and jealousy was cleverly-written and nicely delivered in “Who Is He”. The next song “Social Status” was one of our personal favorites on this album! “Social Status” vocal resonance was sonically beautiful with a soaring melody that made the vibe in this track feel just right. Everything in “Social Status” was top-flight with a deep lyrical presence. Theory has a way of dynamically writing these tracks on this album to enhance a thought-provoking experience for you as a listener. “Social Status” was a wavy vibe that allows you to escape your daily realities and enter an ethereal realm with heart-rending lyricism. The next song “Friends” showcases Theory’s ability to deliver an exhilarating hype song! Although Theory sticks to his regular theme of romance, he adds a different approach to the production of the song, creating a more club-like appeal to “Friends”. The song that stood out to us the most was “Anxiety”. “Anxiety” was A huge emotionally convicting song that was filled with an exceptional display of passionate lyrics and delivery. This is a song that we feel will grasp the attention of many due to how not only relatable it is but how magnetic the melody, instrumentation, and arrangement was. The closing song “Love Me” had the same vibe in the lyrical content as the songs prior, but the tune was more delightful. This album was packed with passion, fire, and chemistry that you just can’t find in most songs! Theory’s gift of rhyme and realism has naturally evolved in his music which has made “Bed Full Of Roses Or A Pool Full Of Blood” feels more authentic and raw. Theory seeks to create a personal connection between his listeners and his music that they won’t ever forget. You can listen to “Bed Full Of Roses Or A Pool Full Of Blood” by Theory here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Theory! Congratulations on your 5th album! In what ways does this album differentiate from your past 4 projects for you and why? Thank you! It’s an honor to be recognized on your platform! Yes, my 5th album, what a ride it’s been! I feel this project, amongst the others, is the most vulnerable I’ve ever placed myself to be. In the past, I’ve only been sporadic about it, but this time I’ve let it all out to express my feelings across the board. Let’s talk about this album “Bed Full Of Roses Or A Pool Full Of Blood”! What inspired the name for this and why? In my 3rd album “The Poughkeepsie Tape” I recorded a song named “Craziest Flight”. The last lines in the song said, “is that a bed full of roses or a pool of blood, and you’re a fool if you focus on the rules of love”. Hence, you hear it in the intro track on my latest project. That became my montage throughout time to dive deeper into it. Sometimes we accept the troubles of a relationship as the norm. As the cover reflects a Rorschach test, you ask yourself does this depict love or pain, and what do we find ourselves lying in, a bed full of Roses or a pool of blood. Which song on “Bed Full Of Roses Or A Pool Full Of Blood” was most challenging for you to write and why? Hands down “Anxiety”. I’ve never shared with the following that I was challenged with anxiety issues. Not to mention, triggered by feeling alone and rejected. I knew this was something that would resonate with many who deal with the exact battle. Even now I step back and breathe when it plays because it speaks volumes to my core of coping. Can you detail us the production of “Bed Full Of Roses Or A Pool Full Of Blood”? I worked with many producers on this project for variety. Starting off with “No Love” (Produced by Tower Beatz) This sets the tone with dark questioning and reasoning. Then, “Who is He?” (Produced by Syndrome) follows the narrative with like feels and emotion. “Social Status” (Produced by 16 yr old Phantom.Ode) crashes in with a sultry sound and synth. Picking up the pace comes “Friends” (Produced by Luxray) that holds a “Travis Scott” type of vibe and radio/club esque appeal. “Anxiety” (Produced by Netah) slows the tone and revisits that dark setting as a reminder. Lastly, “Love Me” (Produced by Italy’s own Simone Ermacora) delivers a refreshing sound that assures you it’s the final chapter of the novel. What’s next for you Theory? I’m continuing to write and produce for other talents in the US and across seas. I’ve also connected with Dj Sara in Japan for a collaborative project. In Los Angeles, I’m writing a piece for a movie with producer Noah Lifschey, and mapping out my next album with Grammy Award-winning producer, Benny Steele. I also look forward to progressing music programs for children in communities where they can learn and create. As long as I’m in a creative mode, I’m content! instagram.com/theoryiseverything facebook.com/theory2 twitter.com/theoryny #BuzzMusic

The song itself takes you on an expressive journey filled with very methodical instrumentals. "So Long" is the one song that really showcases what it is we're talking about when we describe the likes of ANTE. The production is the one that would fit alongside any vocal integration and gives almost a sense of calmness along with its soundings. Thankfully for listeners, "So Long" is only the start of what ANTE has to release to the world. ANTE plans for "So Long" to stem further into a project, even a possible album release down the line. ANTE makes us excited and intrigued for what's to come next within his expansive vision, so we'll be keeping our ears peeled for any future releases from the vivid producer, ANTE. Check out "So Long" here. Welcome, ANTE! We're incredibly excited to talk with you about your recent production "So Long" because it offers such a wavy listening experience. We really enjoyed the rhythms of this song. As a producer, how do you execute your exclusive sound? I really appreciate it. As a producer, I really enjoy the opportunity to be able to approach creating in different ways. I appreciate not having to feel like I'm confined to a certain "agenda" that I have to take to create music. I don't always start to create necessarily based off how I feel either, sometimes I might get inspired by something that's around me- whether it be a sound that I hear, a sample I stumbled on, another track, etc. and start to feel it from there. I often just sit down at a piano or keyboard and start to play until something I like pours out. Long story short, it could start out with a drum loop I created, a chord progression, a melody, a bass line or anything. But more importantly, I make sure that in the midst, I'm finding some kind of way to make it interesting. I'm probably a near perfectionist, believe it or not, I try my best to listen to what I'm doing from a listener's perspective instead of my own. But music is music and all in all I just enjoy being able to create a different story every time I do my thing and being able to learn and vibe from those around me too. Did you find that your vision for "So Long" shifted throughout the actual production of the track, or are you the kind of producer that starts off with a particular vision, and keeps it constant all the way through? With So Long, it just kind of happened. I had no idea where it was gonna go, but when it happened I had one vision for it and that led to an entirely different vision as I played around with it more. So to answer your question, I did kind of have a vision shift in the midst which actually led to something cool. I surprise myself sometimes honestly. I'm actually a really vision-driven person, but I also realize that mistakes happen and everything doesn't always happen the way you see it happening, which can unintentionally lead to something great in the process and give you a different perspective on what's in front of you. As an artist who was born and raised in Memphis, TN, do you feel that the music environment here stimulated the way you produce your sound today? Definitely. It's the environment of musicians here around me. I've been blessed to be surrounded by a plethora of very talented musicians and creatives in this city that has shaped me into who I am today. Honestly, in the past, I haven't always seen myself doing what I'm doing now, but being around these individuals has allowed me to learn and soak up so much and drives me to get even better. As far as the specific sound, I grew heavily into jazz, which there are a lot of killing players in the M. I love other things too especially hip-hop, which is another very big part of our culture. I also appreciate and support the constant transformation of music throughout the years and how musicians have taken it and ran with it doing so many different things now. Being in the environment has allowed me to be exposed to so many different influences and has allowed me to open my mind up to new things. We heard the news about your hope to manifest an album, stemming from "So Long"! Can you give us any hints on when the release of such an album will occur? Yes. The idea behind this project, which wasn't even the initial plan, is for an album to gradually and organically build in soundcloud. As you can see So Long is the only track right now that carries that Miscellaneous Vibes label. Each additional song will do the same as time goes by and will all have that same cover art. You'll hear some instrumental stuff, some vocal, some interludes, and more. So the album could officially be released on major platforms this summer, or it could very well be at the end of the year if not later depending on the momentum, you never know. I love keeping the people curious and anticipating though. In the meantime, all of the songs created for the album will be posted to soundcloud, so they'll actually have a chance to witness it grow and build before they can enjoy the luxury of having it in their playlists on Spotify, Apple Music or whatever. And then that gives me an opportunity to see what people are enjoying more and to learn a little bit more about my audience. Thanks for chatting with us, ANTE! We truly love your style as a producer--it's such a style that bridges off from what is typical in the music community. Are you planning on maintaining this creative outflow, or do you plan on switching up the way the other records will execute on your future album? Thank y'all for having me. I'm truly grateful and really appreciate the love! I do plan on continuing the route I'm going musically as well as expanding trying some different things and embracing my versatility going forward also. instagram.com/anteofficial facebook.com/antemusicofficial #BuzzMusic
