You can listen to “I Wish I Knew You” by Hosh here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Hosh! How has the journey been so far? What has been the most monumental moment in your career and why? The journey so far has been rocky but pleasant. I like to take things one day at a time and see what's in store for me. But the journey is rocky but pleasant is because, from when i started i've already released two full-length albums, which I'm happy for because all the people i've worked with on these songs are amazing musicians and talented singers. And the rocky part is my creativity flow. I went away from making music for a while since the last album dropped. I felt like it was gonna be a while for me to get back into a groove to start making music again, so I started to pick up other hobbies like doing sound mixing on film sets, that was fun. But then a struck of creativity came to and I told myself I'm gonna lock myself in my home studio and just play the guitar to see what comes out. Who knew that would work lol. Now I'm two songs deep into my new album. The most monumental moment in my career is knowing that people actually like to listen to the music I make. It warms my heart that other people can relate to what I say in my songs and that they can grasp emotion from it, That is what makes this all worth doing. Tell us about your song “I Wish I Knew You”. What was the vision you had for this record? I wish I knew You was a song that came out of the guitar like that *Snaps Fingers* it was a really nice idea turned into a great song. The song itself is about two people and one of them expressing how nothing in this world can stand between them and their love. How they would climb a mountain if they need to, all to get to the other person, because they know once they're by their side nothing else matters except that moment. The vision I had for this record was definitely more of me singing, I learned through my first album that people liked my singing and I wanted to get better at. But the overall vibe I had planned was more upbeat and fun, but there were only a few songs that turned out that way lol. All in all, I liked how the album came out. What inspired you to write “I Wish I Knew You”? In what ways were you able to personally relate to the lyrics? All the songs I write are deeply personal. This song is about my lust to be with this person no matter what. It was really one-sided and I gave my all to be with her, trying to spend all my available time with her. I can personally relate because I've lived it. How would you describe the production and arrangement of “I Wish I Knew You”? All the production of my songs takes place in my bedroom studio at home, just spending all day getting the vibe of the song just right. When it comes to arrangements in my songs it really about feels. I'll usually make the guitar and play it all the way through and that is my structure. I'll build everything else on that. That's why in most of my songs I've got a weird arrangement, where instead of doing things in a proper 2 bars this and 4 bars that, my songs end up with 3 bars of this and 4 bars of that. But I like to believe that helps my music because it keeps you guessing what is next. Knowing 2019 is coming to a close, looking back at this year what are you proud of the most Hosh? I'm honestly really proud of my drive and persistence. That really helps me get through all the songs and push through to finish and put out music. instagram.com/h0shh twitter.com/hosh_the reverbnation.com/hosh2 #BuzzMusic

From Southern California, today we are graced with something truly amazing from a brother and sister duo and we are really excited about this! We have Nicole & Scotty with their new single “Sweet N Sour”. Combining pop and rock, Nicole & Scotty truly blend both worlds into something unique, but yet familiar, hitting that spot that we all crave. The song begins with a soft drum beat, then is joined by the beautiful vocal performance that is provided by Nicole and soothing guitars. The song's general vibe is reminiscent of “Rumour Has It” by Adele, with a bit more of a rock influence. Vocals, Nicole has the same smooth voice as Adele and the guitar work is more along the lines of Blues Rock. - Someya Releases the Electrifying Hit, “Always Here”
Someya released her latest single titled “Always Here” and this single completely intrigued us by the elemental aesthetics and the art of lush pop. Someya has a powerful voice that’s invigorating as its dynamic. She goes into major vocal belts at the perfect measurement of the song. Her voice is just highly mesmerizing. She knows how to reel you in with her captivating voice and explosive arrangement of her music. “Always Here” was a love bop that creates rich imagery and complex dimensions. The production of “Always Here” was even more extravagant and we couldn’t help but find ourselves attached to the multiple elements that are equipped in this single. “Always Here” had this unique fusion of pop and alternative rock, catering to a vast audience of listeners. Someya has completely conquered the art of purposeful pop. Through her creative adoration for nuanced romances and luxurious laconic melodies, Someya is theatrically exploring this delicate balance between both catharsis and mystery. “Always Here” is a well-crafted masterpiece and a magical record that shows us the refined vulnerability that many artists can’t effortlessly deliver us. Through imaginative lyricism intertwined with authentic feelings, Someya has undoubtedly made a record-breaking hit. You can listen to “Always Here” by Someya here. How were your upbringing and background? What was it like growing up? I moved around quite a bit while I was young. I was born in San Jose, California, and at the age of 5, my family and I moved to India for my dad’s business. I went to school there for 3 years before we moved back to San Jose. When I was 10, my dad’s company moved the family to Prague in the Czech Republic and I went to school there for a year. While we were there, we would go to various countries for the weekend or on vacation. That’s when I discovered my love for traveling and exploring different countries. The move to Prague really impacted me and changed me for the better. It made me see and appreciate different cultures and various ways of living, but also made me realize how similar everyone is at their core, no matter where you are. Since the age of 12, I have primarily lived in San Jose, but I continue to travel all the time. What inspired you to write your single “Always Here”? the lyrics felt super authentic. I was going through a dark time where I was confused about my feelings. I was kind of hurt by someone’s actions, and writing this song felt really natural. I try to be pretty self-aware, so I was just sorting through my emotions and putting words to how I felt, so I could help myself better deal with what I was going through. How would you describe the arrangement in “Always Here”? For the arrangement of Always Here, I knew I wanted to include electric guitars. They’re my favorite instrument in some of my favorite rock music. The sound of an electric guitar can really range in emotion and at the same time can be quite intense. Always Here is an angry song, so I thought it would translate well into the music. Another fun thing we did was sample random horror movie clips into the song. I love horror movies, and you can barely hear the various sounds we added, but they’re there. We were trying to create the perfect haunting atmosphere. Also, for this song, a big inspiration for me was the music of Banks. What I really love about her music is her use of bass synths. They’re so gritty you can feel them, and I love the intensity they inspire. We gathered a lot of my favorite sounds and influences from different artists and inspirations and made it my own. The beat was inspired by Halsey. We used really random things to make it sound how it does. An example is the sound of glass shattering. The bridge was inspired by a mixture of Billie Eilish and Lana Del Rey. What was the most challenging aspect of creating “Always Here” and why? I honestly can’t think of anything because it felt so natural to create. And it was lots of fun! What’s next for you Someya? I’m releasing the Always Here music video quite next month. After that, there will be a couple more singles with more videos, and then the entire EP will be dropping by mid next year. I’m also going to be playing a lot of shows early next year. I’m really excited about everything. instagram.com/someyamusic twitter.com/iamsomeya facebook.com/someyamusic #BuzzMusic
- Livendure Releases Smashing New Track "Chariot"!
From Holland to now residing in Reno, Nevada - today we are graced with the healing power of Livendure and his new single “Chariot”. The dreamy new single, “Chariot” is a beautiful experience from top to bottom. The song opens up with a mood-setting synth that sets your ears for what is coming. Next, we are introduced to lo-fi drumming and vocals, which is a nice touch for where the song starts from. The vocal performance is reminiscent of artists such as The Chain Gang of 1974 meets some of the more experimental songs from The 1975 (not to be confused, two separate artists). By the midway point of the song, the interest is held up by incredible vocal takes that absolutely provide a feeling that is hard to describe in words. It is hard to make out specific lyrics, as the entire point of the song is to remain lo-fi. However, I’m sure there are many intelligent lines and the song overall is still a complete display of artistry. The song finished around the 3:40 mark and by then, you are a fan of what Livendure has to offer! Make sure you stay up to date with Livendure for more music and live shows coming soon! Give a listen to Livendure here. Jonjosef, you are the sole member of Livendure and you have graced us with your new amazing song, Chariot! Can you give listeners an idea of what “Chariot” is about lyrically? It’s about being in a dark place mentally/spiritually, and feeling like you’re becoming the kind of person you hate. You can see how you’re acting out of fear, insecurity, and hurt, making decisions that don’t align with your values, and that takes a toll on your spirit and self-worth. But you also dream and hope for better days, because you know deep down you have it in you to be a better person, and live as a person of light instead of dark. In your bio, you mention that you started out with producing by using Garage Band. What production interface did you use to produce “Chariot”? I used Logic Express 9, which is a version of the Logic software that isn’t even available anymore haha. I bought it in 2009 and it’s been outdated for years, but I squeezed every bit of juice out of it that I could. I’ve since upgraded to the latest version, Logic Pro X. But Chariot, as well as my whole album ‘Gray’ were produced using the Express 9 version. You mention having influence from Punk music. Do you think that any Punk influences came out in “Chariot”? Absolutely. I think my punk influences come out in everything I write. Not so much the sound of the genre, but the philosophy behind a punk rock. My whole music process is DIY from beginning to end, which is a very punk rock notion. I recorded all my vocals in my car, using Apple earbuds as my microphone. I mixed and mastered everything myself. And even tho I aspire to master my craft, sometimes I intentionally leave in mess-ups, and tend to create in a way that’s in spite of popular music trends. What are your goals as an artist and what is your biggest accomplishment so far? I’d say my biggest accomplishment so far is completing and releasing my first full-length album 100% DIY, with promotions, music videos, merchandise, the works. Although DIY doesn’t mean I did it all myself, I definitely had some help from my girlfriend and other friends, especially with the music videos/graphics/photos. And my goals are, 1) to create a sustainable workflow for myself because I plan on making music for the rest of my life because I love doing it. And 2) make enough money off of my music that one day I can at least pay for 1 month’s rent haha. Lastly, when can listeners expect more music and live shows from you? As far as shows, I won’t be playing for a while. I have a lot of work to do before I’m show ready. But for new music, very soon. I’m working on my second album and some singles now, so early 2020. I’ve also just released some new instrumental songs under my given name, Jonjosef Holland. So anyone can feel free to check those out at Jonjosefholland.bandcamp.com or on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. facebook.com/livendure instagram.com/livendure #BuzzMusic
- Jon Worthy & the Bends Bring Us Light & Heavy Soundings Throughout 2019!
Jon Worthy & the Bends have a sound that is incredibly delicate, yet strong and resilient. We absolutely adore their approach in terms of both production and vocal execution. They take advantage of the power of raw and pure folk elements tied to more of alternative vocal performance. In 2019, they released their album "Something's Gotta Give", and with it, exposed their true inert sound. They're fun, they're different, and they're passionate about their sound. All in all, Jon Worthy & the Bends had a successful 2019, but they aren't finished with contributing to the Indie/Folk music scene. More music is to come in the near future! One release we want to highlight from Jon Worthy & the Bends is their album "Something's Gotta Give". One of our favorite tracks on this album happens to be the second track "Takin My Time". This track offers folk-like elements with an alternative vocal approach. The two combined make for a track that makes you feel inspired, and ultimately at peace. Another notable element to the soundings of Jon Worthy & the Bends is their rustic manner throughout "Something's Gotta Give". A lot of these rustic aspects can be seen in tracks such as "Turn My World Around" and "Better Days". It brings an old flare to the predominant sound of Indie/Folk. We really love the attitude of Jon Worthy & the Bends, and we're anticipating new music in the near future! Check out Jon Worthy & the Bends recent album here. Hey Jon Worthy & the Bends! Thanks for coming to talk about your music released over the course of 2019! How does Jon Worthy & the Bends feel about their artistic journey in 2019? 2019 was wild! By the end of December I will have played 121 shows in 2019! Constantly grinding it out on the road has been so much fun. We’ve met some amazing people and bands and played countless badass shows. Getting to tour behind my third full-length album Something’s Gotta Give this summer was also really cool. Something’s Gotta Give is more acoustic-based than my past albums so it was nice to display a different musical flavor than what I’ve released previously. We also got to do some awesome music videos with super talented people including Big Lefty Productions and Broke Boy Media! "Something's Gotta Give" was the major release of 2019 for the band, and the album incorporated a variety of folksy and alternative sounds. What are some prominent sounds/genres Jon Worthy & the Bends always incorporate into tracks?! Something’s Gotta Give was certainly more indie folk Americana driven than my previous albums. We implemented some violin, cello, piano, and xylophone on this album that made for a new sound. On all my songs there is always an element of angst and heartbreak as well as a loud to soft dynamic born from listening to so much Nirvana and Pearl jam! How did the production of your recent music video "Takin My Time" go? Were the creative dynamics of the video collectively constructed by the band, or was it developed independently of group input? I linked up with Broke Boy Media who filmed and edited the video via Facebook. They had an ad out that they were doing a music video tour and needed an artist in Nashville to film a music video for. We had just released Something’s Gotta Give so I reached out and we seemed to be a good fit. I came up with the initial idea of myself kind of wandering around Nashville trying to find myself like the storyline for Takin’ My Time. We had a majority of the video planned to be outside given it was June and of course the day Broke Boy Media was in Nashville to do the shoot it poured down rain all day! But the rain made the video and really added an emotional element that only benefitted the song and the production. But I was totally soaked the entire day as you can see in the music video! For someone who has never listened to your sound, what track would you recommend one to listen to first out of the collection Jon Worthy & the Beads have? I would recommend two songs! Please Tell Me off the 2018 album Only A Dream. It has a great vibe to it and a catchy groove. And the ending slide guitar part was played by Lincoln Parish of Cage the Elephant who produced the album! I would also recommend Takin’ My Time which is off the 2019 album Something’s Gotta Give. It’s a driving foot-stomping song and the song’s about emotions that everyone has experienced and gone through. Not to mention it’s easy to catch on to the lyrics! We're excited about your tour in 2020! How do you expect this upcoming tour to go?! I think it will go well! There will be a mixture of a full band and solo shows. And we already have 6 new cities on the schedule including Dallas, Oklahoma City, Red Wing Minnesota, and Boone Iowa! I am currently busy recording 5 new acoustic-based songs and we’ll be recording 5 new full-band electric songs in early January so we’ll have lots of new material at our shows. And we already have a release date for our newest single Shake Shake for January 28th, 2020! And as we speak I am in Columbus, OH shooting a music video for Shake Shake! facebook.com/jonworthymusic instagram.com/jonworthymusic/ twitter.com/jonworthymusic #BuzzMusic
- J. Morgan is Back on BuzzMusic as Artist of the Day!
Looking over the past year, it's quite evident that J. Morgan has released a multitude of soundings within his music. It's clear to us that J. Morgan has a goal of imparting a certain sense of energy and robustness into his listeners with the overall execution of his production. The dynamic of J. Morgan's tracks are always fearless and vivacious. This kind of emotion that is so obvious in J. Morgan as an artist is what highlights him to us, and what compels us to his sounding. We're thankful for his rap style and even more thankful for the amount of music he can consistently record and release. J. Morgan maintained such an assertive attitude within the rap scene, which ultimately allowed him to prevail in our eyes. Collaborating with many artists across the U.S and Canada, J. Morgan extends his compelling approach to the rap scene to other kinds of artistries, which blends together multiple soundings, creating that active and compelling scene. J. Morgan has released a surplus of tracks outlining his life, experiences, and overall thoughts. One of his recent singles in 2019 has been "Let Me Know", which offers that distinct type of energy and persona we've outlined J. Morgan can consistently create. "Let Me Know" is a personal favorite because it's the right kind of track we need to boost up our adrenaline in that mid-day lull, which we must add J. Morgan's tracks are perfect for overcoming such a feeling. We can guarantee that it'll be quite easy for listeners to feel instantly rejuvenated with the soundings of J. Morgan, which allows for the easy decision to make him Artist of the Day! Listen to the soundings of J. Morgan here. Welcome back again J. Morgan! Your music has been a personal favorite of ours on the days we needed that extra kick of energy. Tell us about your creative process in terms of adding that pivotal energy component to your tracks? I really appreciate Buzz Music and it’s an honor that my music can provide that energy for you! I’m just trying to create good vibes when I’m writing songs or brainstorming ideas. The energy depends on a lot and it helps to have a great team of producers and other writers to help you capture that energy you’re talking about. 2019 has been a crazy year for you and your releases! You've released a bunch of tracks, "Let Me Know" which is one of our most played. Out of each track you've released this past year, what one would you say has been your personal favorite? 2019 was packed and it’s hard to pick a favorite because all of these releases are like my babies. I dropped 5 music videos and a 13 song album in 2019. If I had to choose a favorite release for the year it would be James Brown Bad. The music video for James Brown Bad was something I put a lot of time and thought into and I really love the way the team was able to execute the shoot and then having Andrezia featured on the song and video was another really cool element of the project. You've featured with a ton of artists on each track you've released throughout 2019. What collaboration was more engaging for you as an artist? Yeah, I worked on collaborations with Lil B, Locksmith, Stinje, J.Lately, Andrezia, DisMissedfit and Monét in 2019. The most engaging collaboration was “Played Yourself” featuring Stinje. We were able to do a music video and I and Stinje got to be on set together and it was a really fun time. A lot of good vibes were captured in that video and the crew was amazing. The video was done by Burgundy Suites and directed by Dale Keano. But it’s hard to pick just one of these collaborations because all of the artists featured on my album are amazing and each song was engaging in its own way. Can you explain the way you envision the creative approach for the music videos you've released? I love music videos and enjoy being very involved in the shooting and storyboarding. My main goal is to bring the song to life. A music video has to enhance the impact of the song and tell the story visually. Also being an independent artist you have to be mindful of the budget for the music video so it’s a must to be creative and think of ways to execute certain things efficiently and effectively. How do you feel about how your artistry developed throughout 2019? Do you feel that you have a new aspect to bring to your sound within the upcoming year, or are you planning on sticking to those energetic roots of your music? I notice the development every time I write a new song or step into the studio. The goal is to elevate with every step I take whether it be my writing skills, performing skills or story writing for videos. In 2019 I dropped 5 music videos, 4 singles and an album and with every one of those releases, I learned something new or honed certain skills. In 2020 I’m going to give the fans and strangers something they’ve never seen from me! Where do you see your artistry going from here on out?! I see the future being really bright. I know how hard I’ve worked and how much I’ve invested as far as time, emotions and money. Everything I’ve done and plan to do comes from a real place. I see my artistry growing as I am growing and I believe I’ll continue to make music that people like and can relate to. The music is my therapy so I’ll never stop! facebook.com/RealJMorgan/ instagram.com/grownupentertainment/ twitter.com/jmorganmuzic #BuzzMusic

- Death Ed Came Out With "In Fat City" + Exclusive Interview With Quirky Band!
Death Ed is a Rock band from New Orleans, LA and we are about it! The band has been around for a bit now, releasing two EP's, two full-length albums and now they bring us a new single “In Fat City”. This song has it all from what you’d seek out in a raw Rock song, as well as bringing some alternative Punk influence. The song starts with a ripping guitar riff that is reminiscent of the Misfits and is coupled with Rock N Roll vocal performances. Lyrics and melodies in this track are fat, full of life and attitude. The riff and overall melodies of the track “In Fat city” are enough to help you sing along by the second verse and it’s always nice when great Rock music can do that for you. It’s as if these guys know the sound and also know how to write a contemporary Rock song. The song definitely showcases the bands' experience of a group who have been around since 2015 but do have a vast history of being key players in the Rock N Roll scene in New Orleans. Make sure to keep up to date with Death Ed and see them live when possible! Discover Death Ed & their music here. Thanks for being with us today at Buzz Music Death Ed.! We've noticed that two of you share the same last name! Assuming you are brothers, what is that dynamic like of being in a band together? Steve: Well Chuck and I have been friends and bandmates forever which means Brad has known Chuck most of his life. Brad joining the band felt very natural and both he and Chuck have a real feel for the way I write songs, so fleshing them out together comes easily. How do you find being from New Orleans has had an impact on your sound and careers in the industry? Chuck: I don’t think being from Nola has impacted our sound at all, and we feel that it has actually hindered our career in a way because when most people think of New Orleans music, they immediately assume it is jazz or zydeco. Others who are a little more in the know, are expecting something really heavy like Down or Exhorder (who we do like by the way). Then we come along with music that is full of clever lyrics and great melodies, but also still heavy rock and roll…I guess it confuses people. We really enjoyed listening to your song "In Fat City". Can you tell us a bit about how the song came about and the inspiration behind it? Steve: This one is easy. Fat City is a section of town a few miles outside of New Orleans proper. It used to be a string of cool bars where bands would play, people would drink, brawl and engage in all other types of debauchery. A few years ago, one of our newly elected councilmen decided it was time to clean up Fat City. They closed all the barrooms and turned them into mini strip malls, slapping a few coats of paint on everything. The place has lost all of its former charms and the song is a homage to its heyday. Is there any influence of the Misfits in your sound? Specifically the Danzig era? Steve: Funny, I get asked questions like this all the time and the answer is no. Chuck and I used to play in a band called The Pests (where I also was the songwriter) and people would always ask about my punk influences. I grew up listening to the Beatles, Motley Crue and a bunch of other 80s metal and pop…seventies stuff too. Later I got into Peter Gabriel and Frank Black. While I do enjoy listening to some of the punk stuff these days, I cannot really say it was an influence on my writing style or the band’s sound. I have honestly never been able to pinpoint where the sound came from (for any of my previous bands either). What's next for Death Ed? Chuck: Steve writes nonstop, so we have plenty of material for future albums. We never know exactly what he is going to come up with next, but so far, we have had a pattern of putting out a 4-song EP, followed by an 8-song full-length album…we have done this twice now. “In Fat City” is the latest 8-song full length, so I would be on the lookout for a 4-song EP next. Also, we miss the road. We travelled around the country quite a bit with The Pests, but so far Death Ed. has stayed in Nola. We would love to hook up with a couple of other bands and at least do some regional shows in 2020... After that, who knows?! facebook.com/deathed.nola instagram.com/death_ed_nola #BuzzMusic
- Albon Takes Us Up the Pacific Coast With “Big Sur Theme”
From the north Chicago suburbs to Los Angeles and driving up the PCH with the windows down, Albon embraces the ocean, the highway and unique sounds with his new single “Big Sur Theme”. This song is what it sounds like in a daydream state to be with someone important in your life, driving north on the Pacific Coast Highway. Big Sur is located in Northern California and is an absolutely breathtaking experience for anyone. This song, which sonically takes influence from The Beach Boys and is reminiscent of “God Only Know’s What I’d Be Without You” and other songs from the album “Pet Sounds”. The percussion is unique, mainly bongo’s and conga’s and is accompanied by fingerpicking guitars and layered vocals that take you away to a dream-like state. This is the song that you can drive to without direction because it takes you to where you need to go in your mind. “Big Sur Theme” creates its own atmosphere with the flute performance and the synth sounds. Lyrically, it’s hard to make out the words, but that isn’t completely necessary. “Big Sur Theme” is what you need on a winter day and Albon delivers it to us in a magical way. Do yourself a favor and listen to this sonic masterpiece today! You can find "Big Sur Theme" here. facebook.com/Albon123 instagram.com/loppa_albon twitter.com/albon_brand #BuzzMusic
- Isaiah Angel Hubbird Gets Us on His “Wavelength” with Incredible New Single
Today we are listening to Isaiah Angel Hubbird’s new single “Wavelength” and we are very happy that we are! Isaiah has spent some time doing some sonic soul searching and it seems like he has landed on something. After auditioning for America’s Got Talent, he was motivated to work on his craft and has found his lane. “Wavelength” is a beautiful song that people of all ages can enjoy. Coming from the alternative scene and almost taking part in the Vans Warped Tour, it’s easy to see how this song and career path could’ve been inspired by peers such as the Plain White T’s and their song “Hey There Delilah”, while also mixing influence of Snow Patrol and John Mayer. The song consists of stunning fingerpicking guitar work and soft vocals. The lyrics are easy to get to you with lines such as “why are you so far from me”, it’s easy to see that he is not as close to a love interest as he would hope.
