Ms Vame’s strong background and education in recording and production are evident throughout this hot beat. She’s always looking for new artist to work with and we can’t wait to hear more tracks from Ms Vame! Listen to “A Little Henny” here and get to know more about Ms. Vame below Hey Vanessa! Can you tell us more about your introduction to producing and how you were inspired to start your own business? Hey! I started making music 9 years ago just for fun, because there was nothing else to do while I was waiting for my mom to pick me up from my grandma's house after school during the rainy days, but I've always been a lover and student of music. I would send little audio clips of what I was making on this casio keyboard to my mom and I found out she was showing them to Joe Archie, the church music director. I was pissed Haha! SOO embarrassed but it ended up being a good thing because he said he could hear that I have an ear for drums. That summer at the church, he set up a Mac laptop and a midi keyboard, opened Garageband, showed me how to create different tracks and how to choose different sounds. Joe showed me how to count to 8 bars, told me to make an 8 bar beat and then he left the room. I was in love with making beats that day. I knew then that creating music was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, that's where MVP, Ms Vame Productions, came in. How long have you owned and operated Ms Vame Production? I started Ms Vame Productions when I came home from being in Atlanta for a music internship (that whole 9 months was HORRIBLE! That's another story for next time lol! When your brake pads fall out from under your car... it's time to fly back home! Haha!). MVP was created in 2016. Very new! Why did you choose the title “A Little Henny”? After making that track, It made me feel like I needed a small glass of Hennessy to What’s your favorite track that you’ve created? I have two: "90's Kind Of World " and "I Love You Too (Hope)" I'm a 90's girl, '92 woot woot, and I love everything about the 90's hip-hop and r&b sound so I wanted to recreate that vibe in "90's Kind Of World". I studied every popular New Jack Swing song for about a week and really paid attention to every sound, how the snare hit, the different rhythms...everything. "I Love You Too (Hope), starts off with a voicemail from my grandma Hope saying "Hey It's grandma. Just callin'. Alright, love you. Bye." And all throughout the song, she's saying "Love You". I made that beat after I found out more information about the cancer she is currently battling. I was very sad but I was able to put that emotion in a beat. The whole time I was creating that track, I had tears rolling down my face, all on the keyboard lol. Do you ever put your lyric on your tracks? No, I never have but that is something I want to start doing. I do freestyle to my tracks though( Haha!) What's next for you through 2019? I'm expecting God to do big things for MVP in 2019! Open a production studio, have more clients, produce a couple of radio hits for this summer.... This year is already off to a great start, I'm gonna keep this momentum going! Thank you Buzz Music! - Split Endz Released Their Single “Feelin Luv”
Personally, I’m a big fan of the way music brings a specific vibe to you that you may not have felt prior to listening. It’s one of the many features of music I enjoy! - Multi-talented Artist Zack Gross Releases New Single “Ignite”
Zack Gross is an experimental artist that began taking piano lessons from the young age of 5, and began composing music shortly thereafter. He completed the piano preparatory program at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, studied classical piano at the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, and graduated from the University of Rochester with a minor in music. His music is a blend of various genres, utilizing elements of classical piano, pop, jazz, blues and electronic music. “Ignite” is a brand new single by Zack Gross. True to his own assessment of his music, Gross uses many experimental elements throughout. Though one might define this single as “electronic”, that alone would be an inaccurate statement. The organ is reminiscent of some jazz and blues, the beat could be under a pop song, and some of the chord changes and melodies have brief elements of classical that just peek through the curtains. The result is an interesting mixture of sounds that come together to make a cohesive single that will leave you with a stimulated feeling, and we highly recommend you check out “Ignite” today! Listen to Zack Gross' new single "Ignite" here, and get to know Zack below! Hey Zack, thanks for chatting with us! Your background is in classical, so would you mind describing how you made your way over to pop, electronic, or other non-classical genres? Definitely, and thank you! I took classical piano lessons for nearly twenty years, but was always more focused on composing my own instrumental songs. I was the kid sitting at the piano, blissfully riffing off of a classical piece, while my teacher pointed frustratedly (and probably rhythmically) at the actual notes in front of us. Bach’s inventions really captured me early on. I loved how satisfying a carefully-planned series of notes could be, and how the interplay between melodies could become melodies themselves. Classical music was a jumping-off point for me, and it definitely inspired me to compose at a young age. But I was also always drawn to modern pop production, and how it could push instrumentation beyond the identifiable and into the dreamlike or otherworldly. My favorite Beatle was never John, Paul, George Harrison, or Ringo; it was always George Martin. I loved how inventive he was as a producer, and how he mixed orchestral elements with, at the time, cutting-edge technology, to create sounds no one had heard before. When I got my first Korg synthesizer at 13, I think those early songs I created were definitely my way of giving my classical-inspired compositions a new pop/electronic-inspired place to live, beyond just the piano. Would you mind describing your songwriting process? How does your music end up coming together? I’m an instrumental composer, so it never starts with a lyric. But other than that, it’s different every time. It could be a beat, a melody, or even just a sound that sparks that initial idea. Then I kind of serve as both producer and sound engineer, and build it out from there. I love experimenting with different sounds and composing layered accompaniments for the melodies I write. It’s fun to try out different electronic voicings and see what they bring out in each song. Your background leads me to believe that you have a wide variety of influences, but who are you inspired by artistically? Definitely a wide variety. Legend has it my parents played a lot of George Winston when I was in the womb, which I think you can actually hear in a lot of my songs. So I guess it starts with instrumental acoustic piano for me—that’s where I drew a lot of my early inspiration from. I also have been really inspired by Michael Giacchino’s film and TV scores through the years. Production-wise, I’ve always been captivated by Max Martin and pretty much anything he touches. His instrumentals just kind of breathe. Like each of his songs is a nice, long exhale from a magical pop music robot. Timbaland was always huge for me, too, the way his beats drive rather than just support a song, with musical moments that are often as memorable as some of the vocal hooks. More recently I’ve gotten really into Jack Antonoff, and his wizard-like ability to use synth sounds to kind of bottle up visceral emotions, uncork them, and let them twist and turn on the tracks. The instrumental break on “Hard Feelings?” I mean, come on. I also love musicians like Beck, Andrew Bird, Paul Simon, Animal Collective, Lorde, Radiohead, and Taylor Swift—people who experiment with genre, push the limits of their craft, and always paint with new and interesting sound palettes. Your new single is called “Ignite.” Did you have a concept, meaning or message behind the music in this case? I wrote “Ignite” after what was shaping up to be nearly a decade since my last new music. I sat down at my computer, and my piano, really committed to igniting that creativity again. Conceptually, I carried that theme of igniting something—whether it’s creativity, or a flame—into the cover art, and into some of the sounds I used. The opening 15-second intro is my representation of what striking a match and starting a fire might sound like melodically, using electronic synth sounds. And the main melody of the ‘chorus’ kind of crackles over the drums like a sparkler. It was a fun song to make, because I’ve never really experimented that much with creating new audio samples, or really gotten as nuanced with making beats. I really dug deep into those drum tracks, scoring it tediously, note by note, until it felt just right. What can we hope to see from you in the future, Zack? I honestly don’t know. It’s funny, when I sit down to write one type of song, that’s usually the opposite of what I end up making. The next original song I’ll release is in its final stages, so I’m excited to get that one out there. But what’s next after that, only time will tell. Follow Zack on his social media here! - Sed’Trieaun Tells His Story With “Progress”
Sed’Trieaun was born in Flint Michigan, and picked up the inclination for music at an early age thanks to his grandfather. He fell immensely in love with the motown sound, popular in Detroit. Wanting to be a part of the iconic temptations was his first musical dream. He looks at his musical talent as a gift and a curse since he learned how to rap from his abusive stepfather. After the dark times, Sed’trieaun and his mother moved to the south for a new journey and adventure. Years later, his music speaks for itself. Sed’Trieaun released his single “Progress” and it was a raw, uncut hit from the artist himself who allows his listener to experience the life of Sed behind the artistry. The lyrics were highly personable to his background and upbringing, which created an authentic nature to the rapper. The delivery was aggressive and struck you like a fist! The beat had this hard-hitting trap foundation that supported the articulation of Sed’Trieaun highly well. Although the lyrics were personable to the artist, it was still able to serve as a factor that relates for many people who may have experienced the similar life he experienced. Therefore, “Progress” is not only a vulnerable record in a sense, but a record in which its listeners can feel connected too, while of course also enjoying the head-banging beat and flaming hot delivery! If you didn’t know who Sed was prior to listening to this song, you get an idea now. You see yourself saying “wow, he’s highly passionate about this” his specific passion is displayed in his way to break down the walls between him and his music, and become sentimental with his lyrical writing. Sed’Trieaun is a rapper with a story to tell, and we’re excited to watch him tell it! Listen to "Progress" here and get to know more about Sed’Trieaun below! Hello and welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you tell our readers about yourself? From Flint, Michigan, wrote my first verse at age 7(was terrible), music isn’t just something I want to do, but it’s also a lifestyle, consider myself ambidextrous.Think boots should only be worn in snow. Tell us about “Progress”! What's the meaning behind it? Progress is essentially me owning up to my lackadaisical habits. It was me realizing I had the power to change everything, I just have to take notes from the good and the bad, the do’s and don’ts. And learning from my life How is "Progress" different than songs you've released in the past? Prior to “M.U.M.D”, I was a “mixtape rapper”.Just writing bars to industry beats I liked, I never invested in myself. That all changed when I started to write progress. No lie, one night I was asking for a sign or something. I needed to know if music was the path. The next morning I got an email from a random producer, begging me not to stop rapping. That’s the first beat he sent me.The song wrote itself! It’s always easier for me, and more fulfilling when you talk about things you go through, rather then materialistic items. What do you hope new listeners get out of your music? What do you hope new listeners get out of your music? I hope they realize that their life is in their hands. Whatever’s intriguing to you, go get it. The seafood restaurant isn’t going to show you how to fish. That’ll make them loose profit!Hope they realize it’s more to it than the glitz & glam.Stand for something or fall for anything #MUMD What’s next for you? There’s Open mics every other night in the Tampa Bay Area, always busy! You can catch me at the local hip hop shows!Just continue investing in myself, rather it’s networking/ buying beats from producers, or paying for promotion. - Safia Elaina Releases Alluring New Single “Come, My Little Angel”
Safia Elaina is an alternative dark/ indie pop artist from Pontiac, Michigan. At only 19 years old, her artistic creations are astonishing beyond her years. Her unique tone and style set her apart from other pop artists. If you’re willing to explore her world of dreamy and dreary pop music, then her new single is perfect for you. Because of her fascination with all things girly and ghastly, her creativity flares and is evident in her new single “Come, My Little Angel”. This single takes you to a dreamy alternate dimension. Safia Elaina’s voice gives me serious ASMR vibes. I’m completely entranced by this track! “Come, My Little Angel” is an eloquently experimental indie pop treasure. Layered with Safia’s haunting vocals and eclectic lyrics this song really shows off her individualism and style. She flirts with the darker side of the mainstream pop music scene. The eerie accordion and echoing orchestral samples add to the dreary and riveting sound. Her vocals carry like ghostly whispers; they’re practically ethereal. The Ominous tone carries the song as Safia occupies the same elegiac register. Her tone is unnerving, and her words are spellbound. Throughout the song I’m hypnotized by her skilled lyricism and I can’t wait to hear what else is to come from Safia Elaina! Listen to “Come, My Little Angel” here and get to know more about Safia Elaina below! Hi Safia! Can you start by telling us more about yourself and your upbringing? Sure! I'm a small town town artist in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan who just loves to create art. I've been creative since I was super young from drawing and singing to now producing all my music. I started producing because I was way too impatient to save up some money to go to a music studio and because I wasn't really allowed to go to the studios since my parents didn't really want me to go into music. Nevertheless, I decided to go ahead and get to learning how to produce music on my laptop and just make all my music in my bedroom. Now, at 19, I'm trying to hop out of my shell a little bit and see what happens if I really start trying to put myself out there. What inspired you to start writing songs and creating this music? Well, I started writing poetry at around 15 years old after learning about Emily Dickinson and as time passed on, the poems seemed a lot more like lyrics to me. A little while after I finally decided to learn how to play the guitar. The music I make is largely inspired by fairytales like Alice in Wonderland, gothic and vintage poetry, Surrealist foreign films like Valerie and Her Week of Wonders and Sedmikrasky (Daisies), fashion shows, photography, paintings and words that aren't typically used. As well as my daydreams and troubling thoughts. What is the meaning behind your single, “Come, My Little Angel”? "Come, My Little Angel" is a small story about control. Behind the compliments like "angel" are actually threats. The first verse is all about the attempts at looking nice and being kind while also saying something along the lines of "I could snap you in two but I won't. Just know I could do it." At the end, it finally, notes of how many lies and half truths have been weaved in to the narrative. The pre-chorus is when the veil starts to be lifted a little bit and to the protagonist the only ones that seem to make sense are those who are being wrongly accused of being "freak shows". The chorus are the orders that must be followed and the bride is more a metaphor for the wedding ring which acts as a chain to this person. While keeping "the dolls glass-eyed" is akin to hiding the truth. Lastly, at the bridge, we can see that the sinister secrets of this person are starting to leak out but before they do the chorus comes back in a desperate attempt to keep control of the protagonist. What artists inspire you? Tierra Whack, My Chemical Romance, Nicole Dollanganger, Danny Elfman, Grimes, Lil Peep, Mark Ryden, Nicoletta Ceccoli, Simona Candini, Lana Del Rey and Marina and the Diamonds. Will you be releasing a full EP in the near future? Yes, It'll be called Mellifluous Rage Part 1 and it's coming out April 26th! Part 2 will come out later on in the summer. - CrimsonMuzik Releases “On Me”
CrimsonMuzik is a 28 year old lyrical hotshot from Harrisonburg, Virginia who started his own recording company in 2012. He’s been financially independent through his music since 2013; However, he only recently decided he wanted to pursue music. The way we can describe CrimsonMuzik style is the cocky flex-rap subgenre of hip hop, but mixed with the internal struggle, external success, spiritual lessons, infectious melodies, and more. CrimsonMuzik released his single titled “On Me” and it begins with an instant contagious melody before the hyphy head-banging beat transitions in creating a bluesy hip-hop element or as we may know it, Rnb mixed with a little bit trap. Besides the wavy beat, CrimsonMuzik had us head bopping to the music due to the way he rode the beat effortlessly throughout the entire song. Despite CrimsonMuzik categorizing himself as a hip-hop artist, by listening to “On Me” we see the capability of him crossing over to smooth-sailing Rnb if he chose to. I mean, some artists just have that versatile appeal where you see them transporting into something more multifaceted in the music game. “On Me” is the urban tune for the summer lovers whose urging for them fun, up-beat and vibrant music that promotes good vibes and radiates positive energy. “On Me” hits the bulls-eye with its charismatic nature and uninhibited appearance. If you need a quality song to add to your mood playlists where you just want to relieve stress and have a little fun then Crimson Muzik’s “On Me” is the song for you! Listen to "On Me" and get to know more about CrimsonMuzik below! Hello! Can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what inspired you to start making music? Hey thanks so much for the opportunity! I go by CrimsonMuzik, I'm 28 years old from Harrisonburg Virginia. I started rapping when I was in high school just to pass time with a friend of mine, but really got serious with it around 2009. My dad is an internationally known bluegrass musician, so I think music is in my DNA honestly, but hip hop inspired me the most because it's so competitive and descriptive in nature. In 2012 I started CrimsonMuzik Vocalz, a company where we write and record custom vocals to be used in competition mixes for cheer and dance teams all over the world. Since 2013 I've financially sustained by that business and continued to build it to where now we have a roster of over 10 vocalists all over the US serving clients all over the world. In 2016 I began focusing on building a fan base around my original music. I've been lucky enough to open for several national acts including The Ying Yang Twins, Ces Cru, Ren Thomas, Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton, Bezz Believe, and more. Tell us about “On Me” and the meaning behind it? On Me is a pure vibe for real. On Me means that I can take it. It means bringing your baggage into conversations with people who truly care about you instead of burying it thinkin' it'll go away. It means I'm willing and wanting to help you shoulder the load in life. It's not exclusively about me, but rather it's the way all true friends should act.. that's what I believe anyway and this song is specifically meant for the ones that agree. What inspired you to write “On Me”? I was shopping Cxdy's beats online one day and when I heard the joint I knew it was gonna be dope. I don't normally do melody driven songs as much, but this one really opened me up to the new wave in hip hop right now. As far as the inspo behind the lyrics... I just knew that a lot of people that have been supporting me off jump needed to be acknowledged in a fun way that we could chill over. I wanted to communicate the conversations we'd had about feeling overwhelmed in various relationships, stresses from work, and everything else that wears on you when you chase dreams, but ultimately do it in a positive vibe because the stress we've all gone through has brought us to new successes. What were some challenges you’ve faced in creating “On Me” and how did you overcome? I guess more than anything the hardest part was sticking to the rhythm and not making it too complex. I'm very analytical and can overthink things in .5 seconds if I'm not careful... I mix and master all my own music in my own studio so I'm blessed to be able to record any and every idea that comes to mind, but with this joint I had to commit to letting it be the vibe that I heard when the beat first played which was definitely new. I think it came out great though and the response so far has been amazing! I think got over 5k streams in the first 2 days of being out and now playlists are starting to pick it up too, so I think it's gonna do well. I'm just glad the homies rock with it, everything else is a bonus! What’s next for you? My goal for 2019 is to develop consistency in releasing music. I watch a lot of Gary Vee videos on IG and one thing that stuck out was he was talking to Kyle (iSpy ft. Lil Yachty) about releasing music, and I remember he said something along the lines of "why keep anything in the vault? It's your story" something like that anyway.. essentially he was saying that if you like a record, in today's music industry (especially if you're an up and comer) you need to release everything! Spotify is my new blog. That's how I see it. I want everyone to get the clearest picture of me, not some manufactured narrative. So that being said, this year I'm dropping at least one single every month. Learning to make beats better and faster so that I can own every part of the productions, and lastly I'm really focused on speed writing lately. I feel like its cathartic in a sense. Almost like I'm writing things before I realized I felt them which is really dope. This year, and going forward, there's going to be plenty of music for everyone that's rockin' with me. Thank you so much for giving me a platform to tell more people about my music and what I'm putting together. Kevin Muhera, artistically known as Kevv is an 18 year old artist hailing from the UK. He is a fresh, up and coming artist looking to bring something unique and different to the music world. Ideally, Kevv’s goal is to merge the likes of UK and American Hip Hop something that will give him the ultimate edge. This young new artist is using his music to make his audience feel something that they can connect to not only musically but emotionally as well. Tuning into Kevv’s debut single “Greenlight”. I always try to show love to the details of an artist and one that I notice off the back with Kevv is his cover art. Cover art can tell a lot about an artist and sometimes what you can expect from them. His cover art is very moody giving you a preview to this really dope track. The entire composition is really smooth. I get a bit of hiphop Coldplay with this track. I love how it cross a few different genres. Production wise, I enjoy the emotionally driven instrumentals! They tie well into the the lyrics and lyricism of each artist. This young artist is really doing something special with his music and I am looking forward to hearing more! Listen to "Greenlight" here and get to know more about Kevv below! Hey! Could you introduce yourself to our readers? Hey I'm Kevv, I'm an 18 year old upcoming artist from the UK. I currently go to Bournemouth University studying media production but I enjoy making music on the side and I'm serious about it. The music I make is to spark emotion when someone is listening. I always set out to do a song that after someone has listened they feel a certain way which could be any mood or vibe. They should listen to my songs for an experience whether the song is deep or a feel good vibe. I have always been writing songs for as long as I remember but I started recording music in November 2018 and it took me until March 2019 to put out my first song. What sparked your interest in music? I've always listened to music to escape from whatever would be happening in situations. I have specific songs I listen to that fit my moods and it's my way of escapism. As a kid all I wanted to do was music but I'd keep it a secret because I didn't know if I was good enough. I'd always write little raps on pieces of paper then lose them so then write another. At one point my English book had more of my lyrics than my actual English work. I only gained the confidence to start it seriously last year when I moved to another city and was surrounded by people with the same passion as me and they had fearless personalities. The genre's I listen to the most are Rnb & Hip hop. Who are some of your most favorite influential musicians? My top three favourite influential musicians are Chris Brown, Tupac and DMX. When I listen to a Tupac and DMX song I can feel their raw passion and emotion. Their music also has substance and they talk about specific situations unlike people in today's industry that would say anything and have 60 different topics in once that have no meaning. I believe Chris Brown is the greatest artist of our generation and one of the most talented of all time. He can dance, sing, rap, act, play basketball on a professional level and paint artistically. As you can tell Chris Brown is my favourite musician. One of the biggest things he has showed me is to rise above the hate and keep going. Could you give us a backstory on the song “Greenlight”? Greenlight was a mix of all the different situations I've been in. I've been in situations with girls where it has been unhealthy and others where I've felt I been holding them back from doing what they wanted to do so by me leaving I've given them the greenlight. At the time when I recorded the song I had just left my home town to go to a new city for university so I used that situation to add that slight personal aspect to the song. What is next in the world of Kevv? As of now I've only released two songs so I plan on releasing more music throughout 2019 then hopefully have a project ready near the end of the year. I hope to get to the point where I can create great visuals but we'll see what happens when I get to that stage. Connect with Kevv on social media Instagram: www.instagram.com/kevmuhera
- Talented Duo Releases “I Wouldn’t Mind”
Lorene & Marine released their single titled “I Wouldn’t Mind” and we were entertained thoroughly by the unique talent presented. Lorene & Marine were both able to capture the moment in the time span with emoting great passion and delivering a sense of charisma throughout the music. In the music video, Lorene & Maxine is on what it seems to be a rooftop with delicate breeze flowing through the visual which is noticeable in the windy movements of their hair and stylish outfits, setting off a light sense of seduction while they sing through the mic. They harmonize well with one another and both voices fit together like a missing puzzle. The blended vocals helped create a strong unison in sound while listening to “I Wouldn’t Mind” , which expanded the augmented dimension of their resonance. A noticeable feature in the record was when Lorene & Marine began singing in another language which added another capacity to the song and you become thoroughly infatuated with the music. The song shows riveting acoustic chords from the guitar ,opening the door for a mellifluous journey they allow their listeners to embark on. We were a big fan of the addicting melody in “I Wouldn’t Mind” and if it didn’t have you singing along, it most definitely had you humming! It’s the type of tune to become embedded in our memories and evoke us to replay the song over and over. Lorene & Marine are both interesting artists who have a solid career ahead of them! Listen to “I Wouldn’t Mind" and get to know more about Lorene & Marine below! Lorene and Marine, it's great to chat with you both! How did you both meet and form a duo group? Hello:) we are twin sisters actually, and we have always shared the same passion for singing, the same love for music. We never really talked about it, we were just naturally a duo, from the start, always making music together. We have different personalities and we love different styles of music, so we find it very interesting to bring a bit of each other in every song we make. Tell us about your latest single “I Wouldn’t Mind”, what is this about? We always say that I Wouldn't Mind is a "modern love story" ! It's about "no string attached" relationships, when you're attracted to someone, you know it's not gonna last forever, but you just want to enjoy their company while it lasts, without thinking about complications or tomorrow. What inspired you to write "I Wouldn't Mind"? Do you write your own music or collab with others? A friend we met during our studies at UCLA Extension made this beat for us. We always collab with producers for the creation of the track, but we write our own lyrics. This beat was supposed to be for another song, but we thought it didn't fit the other lyrics, so we wrote new ones for this track. We already had the chorus of I Wouldn't Mind, that we found a few months back, but we never did anything with it until we heard that beat and felt like it was perfect for it. So we kept writing around that theme and we finish the lyrics in one afternoon! We deciding to add a french part since a lot of people told us they would love to hear us sing in French too, and it was also easier since our friend is from Belgium and speaks french too! We were just chilling at our place, making music, and the song kind of conveys the good mood we were feeling when we made the song - it's tackling a light subject, that people our age can relate to, and we hope that the listeners are having a good time listening to the catching melody, as much as we had a great time creating it! What’s next for you both!? We are going to release a couple new songs in the next following months! A collab with a French DJ, that will be perfect for the summer dance parties! And we are going to release a very important song to us. It's our goodbye song- we wrote the lyrics the night before we took the plane to start our new lives in California. It's called Time 2 Go, and we are looking forward to sharing it with the world soon! Connect with Lorene and Marine on social media www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fNae_IvvBo&feature=youtu.be
